While the Philies are going out in style, the Eagles would avenge last week's collapse with a win over the 49ers to give them the lead in the NFC East at 2–1.
Phillies are tied for the National League Wild Card and the Eagles lose to the Giants at home, 30-24. The game proceeded to overtime with the Eagles offensive woes continuing and the defense allowing the Giants to score a miraculous touchdown on 3rd a long from Manning to Burress. To add to the loss, the Eagles lost Jevon Kearse for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.
The Phillies continue to tease the three of us and the Eagles open the season on the road with a win against the Houston Texans.
Summer's over - time to reminiscence. Will the Phillies get in the playoffs in 2006? We all think so and we all were wrong as the Phillies finish 85-77 - 2nd in NL_East.
Watching meaningful Phillies games in late summer has us all excited. Also, Happy birthday Randy Wolf who finished the 2006 season with a 4–0 record, pitching only 55 innings.
E-Money is on vacation but the show must go on as the Phillies trade All-Star right fielder Bobby Abreu and starting pitcher Cory Lidle to the Yankees for four minor league prospects - C.J. Henry, 27-year-old left-handed reliever Matt Smith, catcher Jesus Sanchez and right-hander Carlos Monasterios. Uuuuuugh, what a mess.
Evan comes back to the show after dealing with PECO's storm recovery and we open the show talking about "Wildcats" - the Goldie Hawn movie that features a terrific Nipsey Russell as Ben Edwards. Also it's time to discuss the 2006 Philadelphia Eagles.

Derek and Evan are back from Dover to see some NASCAR and the trip was certainly memorable - only one Emergency Room visit. Also, it's time to pay Chase Utley.
The Phillies find themselves depending on Brett Myers to keep them in contention. While Pat " The Bat" Burrell (29 HR in 2006) is having a year, the bullpen continues to struggle.
Beardo joins the crew as we are all about the ups and downs that come with the early part of the 2006 Phillies season.
Derek and Evan come back from L.A. and open the show talking about the memorable Aaron Rowand nose-breaking catch in center for the Phillies at CBP.
Taps. It's only played when one of the Big Four teams in the City are finished for the year. The Flyers are done - finishing 22-48-12 (56 points), 5th in the Atlantic Division. However, losing again the first round of the playoffs.
It's nice to start the show taking about wins and the Gang of Three finally realize that Charlie Manual is here to stay.
It's crunch time for the Flyers as they head to the playoffs. Also, the Phillies are chugging along.
It's all bad in the basement. The first 30 seconds of the show has the Phillies swept to open the season, Flyers losing, Sixers eliminated... It goes on and on and on.
All Phillies - all the time. We a super-psyched for the 2006 Phillies season. Our win Predictions? Dave - 84, Emoney - 86, Derek - 88 - for a team that went 85-77, finishing 2nd in NL_East behind the 95-65 Mets.
NFL changes - Eagles losing LeCharles Bentley the the Browns and Drew Brees (now the NFL's All-Time Passing Leader) going to New Orleans. We also simply would like the Sixers season to just end.

The 2006 Phillies open their Grapefruit League Season with a win over the Yankees. Derek gets a haircut.
The Phillies are headed into the 2006 Season and the boys are a collective 'meh' - turns out the "mediocre" Phillies were just that - finishing 12 games behind the Mets in the NL East.
Not much to talk about in February 2006. The teams simply were not up to par. However, we do get Toph on the mic to discuss a little NASCAR and - much to his amusement - tells the story of Derek at the Bristol Night Race.
Emoney - like the Seattle Seahawks - ends the year with a loss. Also the Flyers are on everyone's mind.
The four-day Super Bowl XL party has begun as we preview Pittsburgh's 21-10 win over Seattle at Ford Field in Detroit.
