Episode Notes:

In this episode I'm joined by a dear friend of mine and financial coach, Jared Lyman as we discuss the value of hiring a full time realtor for all your real estate transactions.

My process to starting your home buying process

  1. Meeting with a Realtor within the early stages of your home search is key. Realtors are super important members of your home buying team
    • I provide updated information about the market
    • Send you properties & information about your micro market for the area and type of homes you're looking for.
    • Enjoy being a resource for your real estate questions.
  2. Before our initial meeting I have my buyers complete their Home Buyer Questionnaire. This gives me an insight into what my buyers they're looking for so I can prepare and properly advise them from our initial meeting.

Finances

  1. Confirm your buying power by getting your pre-approval from a reputable lender. If you don’t already have a lender you want to work with, I can recommend a few lenders to choose from that I feel will be a fit to your particular situation.
  2. Setting up your financing to buy a home starts with understanding your Debt to Income Ratio: Your debt-to-income ratio is all your monthly debt payments divided by your gross monthly income.
