Maura’s motto is "Living Happy Inside Out” and today Karen has asked Maura to return to discuss the book “Radical Forgiveness” by Colin Tipping.
This book came to Karen around October 2018 and as soon as she read it, she reached out to Maura to see if she would like to read the book and then discuss on our show. The whole premise of the book is that no-one does anything to you they do it for you ~ on a soul level.

Today Karen is chatting with Sasha Whitehawk Havlikova and Michelle Havlik the founders of Whale Song Mats.
Michelle and Sasha are two sisters from the Northern Beaches area of Sydney, Australia. They share a deep love for the Ocean and Mother nature and after many a beach clean, they wanted to create a tool of awareness around Ocean conservation and daily sustainable living choices.

As with all Live Love By Design TV shows, we are never too sure where our conversation will lead us, as we purposely have very few pre-planned questions. Today’s conversation led us to talking about Cyclone Tracy a tropical cyclone that from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day, 1974, devastated the city of Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. Maria was two at the time and was living in Darwin. We dwelled on the fact that even though she had very little conscious memory of that time, subconsciously this tragedy had affected her in many ways. Enjoy this conversation with Maria, it was longer than planned, though we promise you it is worth watching to the end, as once again it is proven that the person we are today, comes back to the questions we ask ourselves and knowing that we are the sum of all of our experiences….. even the ones we have consciously forgotten (for whatever reason).

This week Kaz and Karen’s special guest is Stevie Rose a lady who has incorporated meditation into her life for over 25 years; from learning to meditate in the late 80’s, to supporting global tours and retreats for new and experienced meditators (Australia, New Zealand, America and India) throughout the 90’s.
In 1997 she completed her teacher training though continued to be a dedicated student. In 2016 she was instructed by her teachers that she should share her experience, to allow others to learn and experience firsthand from her, so they too could experience the transformative power of meditation.

This week Kaz and Karen’s special guest is Vanessa Caputo the principal at Caputo Lawyers.
Vanessa was the prospective dux at high school, the person who never tried or studied and still got top grades, a person who found the last few years at high school challenging for her parents and herself. Pressure to get lower grades at school to be cool, struggled staying in school, ran away from home before HSC, never finished HSC.
Vanessa, started a law degree at 20, met her husband at 21, got married at 23 had her first child at 24, did final law exams 3 weeks after giving birth to a baby in an intensive care unit while lactating and nearly passing out to complete her law degree.
She worked in the corporate world until 6 years ago , leaving to pursue her dreams of opening her own boutique property and business law firm despite that the GFC had just happened and left a high paid respected job to go and help mum’s and dad’s in property and business.
Most thought it was a really bad decision, though Vanessa knows it was the Best decision of her life.

Sue has experienced the highs of living an exciting Hollywood lifestyle in the world of film production and married to a TV Director in LA at age 21, to struggling to make a living here in Australia, whilst rais-ing 2 children and building a career in the Travel Industry.
Sue sees life as a travelling adventure of sorts, enjoying the moments of beauty even the adversity, and through acceptance of it all, leading us ultimately to transformation and growth.
With her biggest adventure happening now in her 50’s by starting her own successful Mobile Travel Agency business and planning to travel overseas with it!

This week Kaz and Karen’s special guest is Kim Tiong the owner of 134 Matchsticks, a place where she enables her clients to transform their own lives by combining transformation coaching and change work.
Kim started her career as an external auditor at Deloitte and BDO. She left the corporate world as a senior audit manager to set up her own audit training business where she was invited to partner with organisations such as Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Australian Institute of Management, CPA Australia and Sydney’s Professional Development Forum.
But Kim found she was still unfulfilled and through a series of life-changing decisions transformed her life at 31 by separating from her ex-husband, setting up her second business in her 3rd career and moving to a new city.
Many of her clients describe working with her as a journey of self-discovery which allows them todrop the mask and go on to achieve extraordinary results.

Julia was born andraised in Manly. She trained as a Karitane nurse after matriculating andmarried in January 1971. Julia and her husband lived in Zambia for 4 yearsafter spending a year travelling Europe –East & West and North Africa andshe started a baby clinic in Lusaka in 1974.
After leaving Zambiathey travelled with their 3 year old son Dominyk from England to India and backdriving 30,000 miles.
Julia studied law, onceher children (son and daughter) were off her hands and graduated at 50 yearsold.

Originally from country NSW she is living herchildhood dream of living at the beach. “Every day I wake up and count myblessings being in this piece of paradise, as a kid we got to go to the beachfor 2 weeks, once a year and it was always a long drive away.” Genevieve says.

Her long journey began in BovalinoMarina a small town on the Ionian coast in Calabria in southern Italy. This iswhere she was born and spent the first 8 years of her life before migrating toAustralia with her Mother and 2 siblings in 1958 to join her father who had migratedhere 4 years earlier. She has alwayslived on the Northern Beaches.
Within 8 years of arriving in Australia,she learnt to speak English, read and write in English and completed her SchoolCertificate with a great result. By herown admission, she sees THIS as being her greatest achievement and not the 47successful years she spent in the banking industry".
