"Confidence is the sexiest thing you can wear, and clothing says a lot about a person. After viewing my wedding photos, I set out to change dress shirts forever, so they better represent the wearer.
WHO AM I: An inventor, a boat Captain, a serial-entrepreneur and the buddy my friends always call first when they are looking for a guy, who knows a guy-- to help them out. Connecting people with whatever (or whoever) they need most, has just been my thing.
For 20 years, that “thing” powered my career in sales, where I helped people with the three biggest purchases they’d ever make in their lives--- houses, cars & diamonds! And today, that same need to connect and serve others is the driving force behind Million Dollar Collar.
WHAT I DO: I make your dress shirts look amazing!
On the biggest day of my life, my wedding day, I was sorely disappointed by the look of my casually worn dress shirt. I looked more like a beach bum than the "Thomas Crowne" cool I was going for. After doing some research I found that there was no such thing as a placket reinforcement. This is a new problem and apparently, no one had the fix for it yet. Over 80 percent of men today will rarely if ever wear a tie with their dress shirts these days. Being a non-tie-guy, I decided to work on a solution.
Over 3 years of R&D and nearly 100 ruined dress shirts later, and we launched our patented Placket Stays at the beginning of 2016. And after 24 months of sales and we are at nearly 250,000 sets sold to image-conscious people all over the world!

Shaun was originally trained as a professional geologist, with 23 years of experience in the Canadian and United States Energy Sector, in a variety of technical, senior management, strategic planning and corporate governance roles. He has coordinated over $400 million dollars of commercial transactions, been on the senior leadership team of publicly traded companies with market value over $1 billion dollars and has started and sold various private enterprises. His diversified his background and experience through years of corporate structuring, strategic planning, team management, senior executive governance, financing, and investor relations experience as well as a wealth of acquisition and divestment experience give him a robust leadership, governance, financial management, strategic planning, marketing, capital raising, corporate structuring and business development toolkit.
Shaun was not raised in a Christian tradition but was invited by his wife Leah to attend church in his early 30’s. Previously Shaun served Mountain Springs Calvary Chapel, on staff in the role of Ministry Assistant. This part time commitment followed on the heels of 2 years of volunteer service as a Ministry Intern and came in response to God’s unmistakable calling over his life, while standing at the Pools of Bethesda in Jerusalem, and following 12 years of growth after his salvation at the age of 34. In the 3 years on staff, he was privileged to have been given the honor of teaching from the pulpit, counselling members of the congregation, as well as leading and coordinating various ministries and programs.

"Born in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Dwyer grew up playing hockey in the Sackville Flyers Minor Hockey program. He would go on and play until his junior years, playing Junior B for the Sackville Blazers and a stint of Junior A with the Halifax Oland Exports before retiring at the age of 20, focusing on officiating. His officiating journey started a few years earlier at the age of 14 while he was still playing minor hockey. He spent his first few years working all levels of hockey in the Sackville Minor Hockey System before reaching the elite levels once his playing days were over where he officiated Junior and University games. A couple of years later, Dwyer was hired by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) to work as a linesman, while still working the lower levels as a referee. The Saint Mary’s University graduate, who studied Psychology and Criminology, made the transition from being a linesman to wearing the orange arm bands in the QMJHL the very next season. His passion for the game and his determination to make it to the NHL as a referee had him packing his bags in the summer of 2001 heading to Amarillo, Texas to work the Central Hockey League (CHL) full-time as a referee. Dwyer spent two seasons in the CHL reaching the finals in his second season. My name is Garrick Jones, former Houston Texan, President of the Huddle Up Foundation of Houston, Treasurer of The NFLPA Houston Chapter, and Commissioner and Co-Founder of The States Developmental Football League. The trading or releasing of cornerstone athletes without clear communication of direction has been the absolute confirmation for Houston's city that something drastic has to be done within the Houston Texan organization! In addition to professional colleagues of mine, several former teammates have reaffirmed that I should put my name in the hat for General Manager of the Houston Texans!
During my professional football career, I have gone through similar situations with several teams, and there needs to be an alternate avenue when dealing with players and fans. The transactional leadership approach of yesterday not only hurts the team, but it hurts the chances of our city ever seeing a Super Bowl championship. This is clearly what has been going on in the organization for some time now. It's time for a complete teamwork approach for our football team. I would love to have an opportunity to be considered as a candidate for General Manager when that time comes. The city of Houston has been great for my family and me! "Most people spend their lives trying to find a career that is satisfying and fulfilling. For Sonny Wolfe, his decision early in life to coach football would never waver, and over the course of a 40-year career he mentored many young men in a sport they loved and guided them to even greater things after graduation.
A native of Montreal, Sonny was raised in the Cote des Neiges district. He began his career in 1968 as a defensive line coach with the NDG Maple Leafs, followed by three seasons as a defensive coach at Sir George Williams University (1969-71) and four years as a defensive coordinator at Vanier College (1972-75). He played briefly with the McGill Redmen, and graduated from McGill with a degree in physical education in 1976. He then served as a full-time assistant coach and recruiter at McGill for eight seasons under Charlie Baillie, from 1976 to 1983.
A coach that would never be outworked by another at a rival school, Sonny instilled in his assistants a work ethic that would lead to their success. When asked who he considered a mentor in his early years,Sonny referred to his relationship with Baillie.
Sonny Wolfe completed his 24th and final season as a CIS head football coach in 2011 after five years at McGill, capping a 19-year career at Acadia during which he and his wife Denise became an integral part of the local community. He won three AUS championships at Acadia – in 1984, 1995, 1998 – and his 24 seasons as a head coach ties him with the legendary Gino Fracas for the seventh highest career total in CIS football history. He has a career record of 83-94 in CIS regular-season competition and developed more than 20 players who went on to pro football careers in the CFL.
Acadia’s Director of Athletics, Kevin Dickie, was a colleague of Sonny’s from 1997-2000 when Dickie was head coach of the Hockey Axemen. “As both the Director of Athletics and a good friend of Sonny Wolfe’s, I am extremely pleased that he has been inducted into our Sports Hall of Fame,” Dickie said. “I’m not sure there is anyone in the history of Acadia Athletics who has left their mark on a campus in a way that Sonny did over 19 years. It goes way beyond wins and losses; it’s the impact he had on young people and the coaches in other sports who worked alongside him. More than anything, Sonny is a tremendous person, and we are pleased to honour him.”
Following his retirement from CIS football, Wolfe was honoured by Canadian Inter-university Sport in June 2013. He received the Jean-Marie De Koninck Coaching Excellence Award, presented since 2007 to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to university sport as demonstrated by long-term commitment and leadership as a coach at the local, provincial, national and/or international levels.
Hardly surprising, retirement isn’t really part of Sonny’s plan. His passion for shaping the futures of young people today has taken him back to high school, where he now coaches a team in Montreal. The Acadia Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to induct, in the builder category, an outstanding coach and valued mentor to countless student-athletes, Sonny Wolfe."

"A native from South Lake Tahoe California, Shannon trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, modern, and character dancing in the Reno/Tahoe area before moving to San Francisco to train with the San Francisco Ballet School on a full merit scholarship in 2002. Shannon Joined the San Francisco Ballet Company in 2004 as one of the youngest members in the company's history.
Over her 11 year career she worked with world renowned Choreographers including Helgi Tomasson, Christopher Wheeldon, Val Caniparoli, Alexi Ratmansky, Yuri Possokhov, Justin Peck, Paul Taylor, Mark Morris, John Nuemeier, William Forsythe, David Bintley, James Kudelka, Edward Liang, and has danced numerous roles in ballets by Marius Petipa, Agnes De Mille, Jerome Robbins, Serge Lifar and George Balanchine.

I built my prototype and gave it to a local company to improve on, which they did. I performed a preliminary background check and discovered that there were four other patented products, two of which were better than mine. I wondered why I couldn't find them on the market.
