On this episode, we talk about some crowdfunding projects we are watching, but mostly, we talk games. One game has us mapping the land, waterways and heavens around Baghdad, circa 820. One has us searching for a mysterious boy dressed in red and white stripes. Another involves some creative mapping and building of a perfect neighborhood, and another the westward build of the railroad network in the late 19th century. Finally, with the rail system in place, we explore the American Wild West and the colorful characters it produced,in our first look at Western Legends!

We start out with a bunch of questions and comments from you!
Then we move into a couple games we've played recently, one that has us following in the footsteps of our ancestors to explore and restore the glory of a bygone age, and another that has us digging into a 70-year old evidence bag, hoping to solve a murder!

We talk a bit about our Gen Con plans again.
And we wrap up with our first look at the longest game in our vast collection - Twilight Imperium 4th Edition.

And since we expect this trip into hand management to take a bit, we will go straight into a first look of our newest crowdfunding arrival, a game that takes us into late 21st century where the demand for robotic workers is high.
But first...

With summer right around the corner, and thoughts of vacation starting to fill our day dreams, it's time to talk about why size really does matter... at least in board games. On this episode We tell you all about some of our favorites games to throw into that carry-one. From creating treasure maps in hopes of finding gold coins and palm trees, to matching bright colored shapes on dark wooden blocks, hoping to make a set of 6 before your opponent does, to a deck of 30 cards that requires some heavy cooperative deduction, and finally a small worker placement game made up of cards and very inedible mints.

We must first work together to provide humanitarian aid to countries in need -- food, water, vaccines and other supplies, all while working 35,000 feet in the air!
Next, as a member of an adventurous pirate crew, we must complete dangerous missions in the shortest possible time frame, all for the honor of being crowned the ""Admiral of the Black"", the most feared pirate ship in the Caribbean.
Finally on dry, solid ground, the local news has tasked ordinary citizens such as ourselves to save the city from space aliens and spider robots. Who better to answer the call than a BBQ Dad and a very Good Dog!
And finally, we delve deep into the dungeons, in a race against time to defeat all the monsters inside!
So lets flip over that sand timer, and get started...."

We are going to spend some time talking about our favorite games from 2021. These ones are but a few, but they are ones that stood out to us from our collections.
In this episode "We are going to take a short trip down memory lane. Last weekend was the 1 year mark of when we recorded our very first podcast and our very first video for YouTube. We have changed our equipment, and recording locations in an effort to make it easier, and better. Some changes have been great. exact.

This week, it is just me and Greg. Since I missed the episode last month where we listed off our 5 favorite games from childhood, Greg decided this episode would be all about ME! So today I... well, WE, are going to go through my favorite abstract games. However, he decided I couldn't use it if I had already talked about it in a previous episode, which means I can't talk about New York Zoo, one of my favorite polyomino games, or Calico, one of my favorite tile-laying games.
In this episode, we go back to the basics and just talk gameplays! Lyric joins us for Kids Corner, and we all come together to battle the Dead King and we dive into the cooperative hero-building adventure game HexPlore It - Valley of the Dead King.
In this episode, Greg is joined by 4 special guests to reminisce about the games we played as kids. Even though I was unable to join the recording, I have given my list to him, though I know he will rag on it, so don't listen to anything he says, unless he surprises me and it's good stuff... then you can listen. One item of business I want to bring up before I hand things off to Greg because I know he will forget to mention it later is that due to the fact 3 of the 4 of us have to miss this episode, we are extending the deadline to sign up for our BGG contest to win a copy of Pandemic Legacy, Season 1. The new deadline is Noon EST on Saturday, June 5th. Mark, Jessica, and Katy will be back in 2 weeks.
In this episode Katy, Jessica, Mark, and Greg give their top 10 favorite games that are not listed in the top 100 on Board Game Geek.
