Welcome to yet another exciting episode of The Uncommon Sense! This episode's conversation was a glare into the minds of teenagers and young adults through our two guests Sisa and Gretwit to find our what they knew and understood about safe sex and contraception. To our realization, there is a lot of half baked knowledge that roams around in our young minds and this is the major cause of the alarming rates of new sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancies among the youth. The real questions we asked were to find the point at which the channels of information run dry before evoking an adequate level of sexual consciousness among young people from the ages 13-21 who are undoubtedly engaging in sexual activity. We also spoke about different sources of negative societal pressure and disbarred a common stereotype.

So we sat in studio joined by two minds of different schools of thought which sparked an interesting debate on the extent at which the older members of our society influence the younger generation's decisions and lifestyles both directly and indirectly. Our conversation ran across to critique the primary sources of influence such as close relatives, to much wider sources of influence that hover over us like systems of socio-economic and political governance.
