Always well-spoken, unafraid, and vibrant, Frank landed a radio hosting job in LA. That show would become the #1 rated Christian talk show in the US! Life was good and exciting and happy..

Growing up in jersey as a wise-cracking, undersized Italian kid, Peter Onorati used lessons from his dad to become a driven student/athlete. Never one to let circumstances define him, he briefly played in the long-defunct World Football League before heading to Wall Street to secure a job as an executive with McCall's magazine. On a bet with his then girlfriend, he tried his hand at acting, and soon found himself starring in TV commercials. A move to Hollywood brought about roles in the final season of "Kate & Allie", as well as the hit movie "Goodfellas". Over the years, he's rooted himself as a phenomenal character actor, and currently appears in 2 hit TV shows: NBC's "This Is Us" and CBS's "SWAT". In one of my all-time fave interviews, Onorati talks life lessons, his drive to succeed, and the most important role he's ever played: father to 3 boys. www.peteronorati.com

10 years ago this month, FLOYD LANDIS won the 2006 Tour de France. 72 hours later, he tested positive for PED's and would launch a 4 year defense claiming his innocence, even writing a book about it and starting a defense fund. He was stripped of his title (rightly so), and eventually fell into depression, often taking 15 pain killers and downing a 5th of Jack Daniels in one day.... He knew others were doing it, but he became the poster child. Angry and unable to regain any solid credibility to ride again, he sent an email that would change it all.... Listen to my up close and personal interview with Floyd Landis. Find out how it all went down, if he has any regrets, and what he's doing now.

In high school, he played basketball and baseball, but didn't care much about grades. At 5'11", 160 lbs., the NBA or MLB were highly improbable career choices. With an interest in the military, he met with a recruiter to become a Ranger. 3 tours of duty and a couple brushes with death later, Nate Boyer decided he would give football a try....at the University of Texas! While serving overseas, he would watch videos on YouTube and learned how to train for football. He made the team as a walk-on, and eventually earned a scholarship....how he did it will surprise you! The obvious choice to carry a real battle-worn American flag onto the field during home games, Boyer would earn straight A's to go along with his Bronze Star. After graduating from UT with 2 degrees and 4 years of football under his belt, he's now shooting for something bigger...at age 34! Join me to hear the inspiring story of the man who won't quit, who isn't afraid to try anything, and has become a heroic icon of perseverance and discipline!

Imagine for a moment that you are in the prime of your athletic life. Late 20's, in perfect physical condition, wealthy and happy. In over 100 NFL games, you've never been injured. Your future looks bright, you're handsome, strong, and confident. Then one day you notice something a little bit off. Your muscles twitch consistently. You fall without reason. Team doctors can't help you because they can't find anything wrong with you. Your symptoms get worse, and you get released. Scared, frustrated and determined to get to the bottom of things, you see a neurologist, who finally finds out what the problem is, and it's the worst news of all; in fact, it's a death sentence. It's ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, better known as "Lou Gehrig's Disease". Soon, your muscles will stop working, nobody knows how soon, and you will become only a fraction of what you once were. Guaranteed.

Such was, and is, the reality of my guest this week. Former NFL LB and Special Teams Star, Tim Shaw, joins me to talk about the life-changing diagnosis, what he deals with every day, and his new outlook on life. In one of the most inspirational stories you'll ever hear, Shaw gives us a peek into his mirror, where he sees a body that was once a powerhouse-now slowly withering away, yet feels his mind and heart growing stronger. His former purpose: stop ball carriers in their tracks. His current and future purpose: Invest in the lives of others and raise awareness of this underfunded and frustrating disease that has no known cure. He'll inspire you with his attitude, all the while revealing a side of himself that he didn't even know was there...

The NBC Hit Show, "The Biggest Loser" has helped transform the lives of many contestants, and this past year was no exception! Season 16 ushered in "Glory Days", featuring a panel of contestants with sports backgrounds. My guest (and my original pick to win it all!) was an NFL QB for 12 years. He entered the show with a 6'6" frame weighing a whopping 366 lbs., but by the end of the show, he dropped down to 246 for a 120 lb. loss! Joining us to share about his experiences on "The Ranch", Scott Mitchell Mitchell shares why he decided to put himself out there, how he almost quit within the first week, and what he really lost on the show...and it wasn't measured in pounds!! A candid, gentle giant, this former NFL star and University of Utah HOFer shares his take on family, true freedom, and what he sees as his purpose in life!!

In a recent landmark case, my guest went up against the multi-billion dollar powerhouse otherwise known as the NCAA. Many companies have made truckloads of money off of the likeness of college basketball and football players, while the players themselves gained nothing, due to NCAA rules. In 2014, a judge ruled that those rules violated anti-trust laws, and ruled in favor of my guest, former UCLA star, NBA player and European player, Ed O'Bannon. What's is like to go up against an organization with seemingly bottomless pockets? A strong resolve, a passion for what's right and the perseverance to finish the race, no matter how long it takes!

From HS All-American to a torn ACL 6 days before his Bruins debut, O'Bannon talks about the mindset from major injuries, his meteoric rise to an NCAA Championship, and how his NBA dreams took a different path than most. Join me for this very candid and informative interview from the man that fought the giant...and won!

From the silly to the Saintly. From Everyman's backyard to the Northern-most golf course in the world. His blend of gut-busting humor and genius sports insight have kept the attention of SI and SI.com readers for decades. His books fill us with awe and wonder, while his understanding of sports and the human spirit bring sports of all kinds to life. I have the pleasure of talking with one of my very own all-time favorites, author, journalist, writer and speaker, Steve Rushin. Rushin, a Marquette grad, has garnered many awards for his literature and novels throughout the years, and continues to inspire readers with his unassuming, humble style. "Mr. Rebecca Lobo" will take his wild stance on the winter meetings, how in the world the lowly Royals were 90 feet away from winning it all, and why the Cubs just might end the drought! He'll give us a sneak peek on his future in "Dancing With the Stars", and if he really collects thimbles from foreign countries! All this and more, on Breakin' the Norm!

Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I fell in love with the Cubs. Every day during the summer I would catch the games on WGN, hanging on every entertaining word of broadcaster Harry Caray. As I grew older and TBS came into the fold, I began to follow the Braves as well. As luck would have it, the voice of the Braves was Skip Caray. Both of these greats have since passed, but their legacy lives on in Fox Sports South's Braves broadcaster, and my guest on "Breakin' the Norm!", Chip Caray. Chip talks about his craft, and what it's like to live in a legacy, and how he's creating his own. Hear some of his favorite stories from his legendary grandfather and dad, as well as his own travels in the game he's grown to love!

In life, we hope to be passionate about what we do. Integrity tells us to do well, take pride in our work, provide for our loved ones. But what happens when you achieve high levels of success, but do so at the sacrifice of that integrity? What do you do when your passion begins to wane, and what you thought had filled you has left you empty inside? Such was the case of my guest tonight, sports agent and subject of the DEBUT Disney Movie ,"Million Dollar Arm", J.B. Bernstein. Motivated by the success of the NBA's Yao Ming, he set off to India (with a population of over 1 Billion) to find a cricket player that threw hard enough to possibly play in the Major Leagues. He concocted this idea of a reality show to find athletes that could throw hard and wanted to try baseball; however, he was pursuing an idea for monetary gain in a country that didn't understand-or even know-the game of baseball! Enter 2 young teenagers by the name of Rinku and Dinesh, two boys that threw 85+ mph, cricket players who couldn't speak a word of English. Within months of winning the contest and landing on US soil, they both signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates! With the help of next door neighbor Brenda, JB learned how to balance a blended family, what it means to have pride in your culture, and how fulfilling it can be to live your life to serve others! Hear about the amazing journey of Bernstein, played by Jon Hamm in "Million Dollar Arm"!

He was the pioneer in the agent game. Forbes called him the "greatest sports agent in history". He secured over $2 billion for over 100 clients, and directed over $600 million to charities around the world. Director Cameron Crowe based his hit movie "Jerry Macquire" after him. Clients would fight to work with him. He modeled his business after integrity, and demanded his clients become the role models they were called to be...and then, he lost it all. Over a period of a few years, my guest, Leigh Steinberg, lost his father, 2 homes, his business, his fortune, and 2 of his children developed incurable eye diseases. He found his solace in endless bottles of vodka, and checked out from reality. He found himself back in the place where his business began back in the 70's: his parents' basement. After an epiphany, a 12-step program, and the desire to keep the values his father taught him, Steinberg has risen from the ashes to get back in the game. Hear his honest and open story on what he's learned and where he's headed, and most importantly, what really drives him today! Check out his new book, or other books he's penned, and amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, or any bookstores in your area.
