The Rt. 91 Music Festival in Las Vegas was supposed to be a time of country music and fun. As Jason Aldean took the stage, ElvisMonroe frontman Bryan Hopkins stepped into fan mode and watched from the front of the stage. A few moments later and from a hotel window high above the crowd, a lone gunman rained downed terror on the unsuspecting crowd, eventually killing 58 and wounding more than 800 people. 10 years ago this month, FLOYD LANDIS won the 2006 Tour de France. 72 hours later, he tested positive for PED's and would launch a 4 year defense claiming his innocence, even writing a book about it and starting a defense fund. He was stripped of his title (rightly so), and eventually fell into depression, often taking 15 pain killers and downing a 5th of Jack Daniels in one day.... He knew others were doing it, but he became the poster child. Angry and unable to regain any solid credibility to ride again, he sent an email that would change it all.... In high school, he played basketball and baseball, but didn't care much about grades. At 5'11", 160 lbs., the NBA or MLB were highly improbable career choices. Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I fell in love with the Cubs. Every day during the summer I would catch the games on WGN, hanging on every entertaining word of broadcaster Harry Caray. As I grew older and TBS came into the fold, I began to follow the Braves as well. As luck would have it, the voice of the Braves was Skip Caray.
