In my latest episode, (part II of a 2-part series), I sat down (virtually!) with Dan Stein, former CEO of Second Harvest of Southern Wisconsin. Dan spent 11 years in this leadership role and continues to support the organization today as a volunteer. He shares his experiences in the fight to eliminate hunger as well as safe and simple ways to help during this critical time.
I have known Dan since 1993 when I first worked for him at Mid-Plains Communications Systems, my first job out of college! Very grateful for his mentorship and friendship over the years.
In part 1 of a 2-part podcast, we meet Michelle Orge, the CEO of Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. Michelle's heartfelt mission is to end hunger and she has spent the last 20 years striving (and thriving) to do just that.
Having held leadership roles in Boulder, CO and Ann Arbor, MI , her passion and deep expertise led her to Madison, Wisconsin, to take the take the helm of the largest food bank in Southern Wisconsin. This is her one year anniversary. And what a year it has been.
In this episode, Michelle walks us through her vision, the challenges, surprising successes and goals as she continues to navigate a course to end hunger, during a global pandemic and beyond.
