Sampled from one of his most famous motivational speeches from 1996, "It’s Not Over Until You Win! Your Dream is Possible." In the Georgia Dome, speaking in front of a crowd of over 80,000 people, Les Brown states:What if we have that kind of attitude, the cars repossessed, nobody believes in you, you’ve lost again and again and again. The lights are cut off but you’re still looking at your dream, reviewing it every day and say to yourself: it’s not over until I win. Life will yield to you.Now here’s the next step. Repeat after me please. It’s possible. I can live my dream. It’s necessary I work on myself, surround myself with winners, become creative. It’s me, I’ve got to make it happen. It’s not over until I win.

We can never truly abandon ourselves; wherever we go, there we are. We can forget who we are, and lose sight of our values, and turn away from wanting to feel fully alive, but we can never abandon ourselves. Who we really are will find us and return to us whether we’re seeking or not.

Today’s guest is Emma Leavitt, also artistically known as Solei. In her words, “as an artist, I embody the notion that we exist as reflections of each other.” She’s been working in the Boston area for the past five years as a muralist and curator, collaborating with many local businesses, collectives and organizations. Emma currently works as the Creative Director of Brain Arts Organization and Gallery Director of the Dorchester Art Project, platforms she uses to empower others and facilitate community-building arts experiences.
We talk about how to maintain creativity during quarantine, making art to connect more to ourselves, and the imperative value of connection. Emma Leavitt is the real deal as a figure of authentic, artistic expression and genuine, artist community building. Now more than ever is the time to show up in support of each other and to lift up local art organizations that are treasures to our society. Creativity liberates, and our conversation about building up artist communities starts now.

We recorded this conversation in October 2019, and we’re releasing it now in March 2020 during a massive shift in collective consciousness and human connection - and months ago we were talking about being leaders of a New Earth and transforming our world joyfully. I know that you are listening to this episode today, because you too, are leading our transformation through New Earth, and I’m excited to share the infinite and profound wisdom of Malu Wilder with you.

It’s easier to notice someone else’s toxic tendencies than it is for us to recognize our own, and it can be more tempting to justify our toxicity than to heal the roots of it. Addressing the toxic behavior, beliefs, and thoughts that are within each of us allows us to dive deeper into the awareness that all of us are fundamentally human and share similar behavior, beliefs, and thoughts that do not always serve our Highest Good.
Once I decided to transform my relationship with myself by looking at and healing these deeper wounds, everything in my life also transformed for the better too.

Our featured guest on Spirit of Self-Love Podcast is Lisa Estrella Yang, also known as Liv. She discovered the pure joy of expressing herself through nail art at a young age as an outlet to cope with bullying and depression. During college, she created a grassroots movement called “pro-self-esteem,” and brought young women from all over campus together to talk about overcoming beauty standards while beautifying their nails. In 2014, Lisa was selected top four out of over 16,000 submissions in Sally Hansen’s nationwide “I Heart Nail Art” competition. Today, through her own business called Faceted Beauty, she works to make nail art manicures more accessible for multifaceted beauties from around the world in the comfort of their homes. “Beauty goes beyond a one-size-fits-all.” Be a part of Faceted Beauty’s mission today and sign up at facetedbeauty.com.

Breakdowns happen when we’re finally ready to let go of our own shit. If we’re able to see our own bullshit, change our perception, change our mind about ourselves and our life situation, a breakthrough will happen. Healing will occur.
The next episode explains how anger conceals other emotions like shame, guilt, and sadness. I explain my own process I use to work through moments of frustration and rage.

Today we’re talking about how we play interconnected roles in each other’s lives and how we are all connected as a whole. We experience our reality in a similar manner to how we experience a theatrical play, or a virtual reality video game. In this play or video game, we are all playing a role. Whether we perceive ourselves as a protagonist, the warrior and hero of our own story, or a supportive role, by affecting and impacting every person we meet in some way. Or the role we can be playing is more of an antagonist, someone else’s bully or critic or even our own. Whatever role we’re playing, it’s an important part in the grand scheme of this beautiful, interconnected, miraculous play.
Allegretta Alive is a self-love coach, empowerment speaker, spiritual awakening guide, and adoptee advocate. In the self-love movement, there are no followers, only leaders - creators of their own joy, heroes of their own story, champions of a compassionate world. The Spirit of Self-Love Podcast reminds us that we are all miraculous beings with purpose and can help humanity elevate and evolve by returning within. Do you remember Who You Really Are?
In this episode, we discuss surrendering our people-pleasing habits and using the intentions of compassion and kind-lovingness to express our truth and embrace our authenticity.
