In this episode we explore:* What we've been thinking about lately * Working with vulnerable people (what’s changed in the past 5-10 years? What are the needs now? How is God meeting with these vulnerable people now?) * Emotion fatigue, Burnout, longevity, resilience in the Helping roles * What might we be missing in the cultural conversations we have about life, faith, hope… that we need to pay attention to? * What sort of positive changes do we hope to see, that will have a long lasting impact for the coming years?Enjoy and share.

This is a short of a bigger conversation to be found in earlier episodes with Nathan and Matt
WHat are the narratives that are underneath what we conclude about the world around us?
What an incredible perspective from Nathan
Are we making much of what the bible isn't trying to make much of in the hopes it reinforces the biases or narratives we have come to hold onto dear;y?
Perhaps we have more to learn when we let the bible interpret itself.
This is why we do what we do.
Hope this is helpful, insightful and thought provoking.

While our lives have taken different directions, we have remained friends and now we take time to reflect on the early years where our friendship started to take flight. It was while we served together and just did our best to leave the youth ministry in a space where the next youth leader could soar with the team there.

Unrealistic expectations, Ambiguous terms, choosing that's important. How's your community? If we are the sum of the 5 most intimate relatinships we have, then a lot of the decisions we make are already pre-determined by these connections. How are we being intentional about who we are allowing voice into our souls? Community matters, safe communities matter even more.

In this part of the conversation, Ps Bob talks about his family's move to Australia and what led them to come. He talks about his transitioning moments, and approach to pioneering. He speaks on his mentality when affecting and influencing change. Hope it's helpful to you. A take home? Change isn't easy, but God-led change is necessary and we are called to lean into where God is calling us to despite the discomfort of the journey.
In this episode, Ps Alex and I have a chat with Ps Bob about his life and ministry. Ps Bob is a founding father of the GraceLife church and it was an honour to sit down with him and talk about his journey. He is the embodiment of Joy and a Spirit of championing others into all God has for them. If you've ever sat with Ps Bob, i'm sure you've left encouraged. Enjoy

In this episode i talk about resting well. This is an offshoot from the earlier conversation about Leading when we aren't ok - aimed mainly at tiredness and weariness.
Purposeful rest is the best kind of rest
Here are some thoughts on how to have purposeful rest. - Have vision for your rest - Have vision beyond your resting period - Take the stuff to Jesus - Exchange burdens - Reflect, Learn, Adjust, Go! - Keep short accounts with Holy Spirit - Remind yourself of who God is, and what He has done
My prayer is that you are encouraged that your time for a break doesn't have to turn into a time of halting and stopping all-together.
Enjoy, be encourage and pass it on

We love hanging out together and having honest chats. In this segment, there is a bit of a continuation from last week's chat, and then the addition of our relationships talk.
We found that there are so many differences to the way we do relationships today as compared to our own cultures and even Kingdom culture. This conversation stared out small, but it's getting bigger and bigger.
Some take aways when it comes to romantic relationships:

So Chima and I got down talking about how we met, and where he's at now. We talked a little into his growth as well, and then the conversation turned serious very quick. What a dude! This is a prequel to the next Honest Chat about relationships Enjoy, Join the conversation and pass it on
Welcome back! In this Honest Chats we interview Alex, one of our pastors about a masculinity and fatherhood. A topic most don't like to tackle, and others don't know where to start with. So hopefully this brings some things up for discussion and inspires you to explore this conversation further in your context. Enjoy, join the conversation and pass the word
So we got together with 3 guys and decided to talk about identity. It was raw, Spirit-filled and funny! Enjoy, Join the conversation and pass it on!
Some key takeaways:
• Our identity is firstly found in God - there’s no substitute for this • Own your faith • Sometimes it’s loosing what we use to define ourselves that leads us to find who we are in God • We all have had experiences where we either put on masks or fit labels in order to belong
KEYS TO FINDING OUT WHO YOU ARE - Pray (ask God to make it clear) - Wait (Don’t fill the space with things or people) - Surround yourself with a loving and truthful community - Look at yourself through a biblical mirror - Find your secret place - Get mentors who can speak into your life
// If someone is humble enough to listen when called out, change will follow // Chima M // don’t just flood to the cool people around you - have stability in those who surround you // Michael // It’s usually a reminder rather than teaching of who
