Join Rev. Matt Stone and Rev. David Melton as they discuss the third Sunday of our sermon series, "Don't Let It Be."

According to our current (some would say "worldly") ideas of fairness, some of Jesus' parables just don't make sense to us. They might even make us uncomfortable! Can we let go of our ideas of fairness and embrace the realities of God's gift of grace? What if it means others don't get what we think they deserve? What if it means we don't get what we think we deserve?

Easier said than done, right? God has already set the example of how we are to forgive, and Jesus makes it very clear--whether it's 77 times or 490 times--that we should forgive. But what does that look like?

Welcome to the first Sunday of our new sermon series, "Don't Let It Be." As Christians, we often assume we should avoid conflict and just "keep the peace." But that's not how Jesus told his followers to handle our relationships. What would happen if we didn't just "let things be"? How should the church look in polarized and contentious times?

Join Rev. Matt Stone and Dr. Phil Schroeder as they talk about the first Sunday of the upcoming sermon series at Dunwoody UMC called Wrestling With A Text. Scripture often presents us with uncomfortable opportunities to "wrestle" with these texts. Like Jacob, the subject of our first week, perhaps the blessing for us comes from the struggle itself?
