Judgementalism. Hate the environment. Republican. Hate homosexuals. Delusional. Mentally ill. Uneducated. These are words that are used to describe Christians. Today in America, it is acceptable to mock religion. Christians are taught to follow the Lord's example and be gracious. But is there a time to speak up? We address this question today.
The truth is out there. Are the Bible and science compatible? Can they be compatible? Do we have to believe one and reject the other? Maybe we can be both rational and faithful.
Some people think God should not be refered to as "He"; that God is above gender. A male God is the result of a historically patristic society. Women can related to a female God.

There are many, many people and ministries doing a lot of good who never seek recognition or accolades. They just help and minister because God has callled them to minister to His people because He misses them.
It's sad when someone makes a mistake and falls. It's always sad for the person, their family, and their friends. In politics...and in the entertainment industry...why does it seem people are happy when someone loses everything? President Bill Clinton called it "the politics of personal destruction."
Should we be happy when someone falls and loses everything? Should we celebrate the destruction of people, even if the "deserve" it? Maybe our words and attitutes can help these people...and help ourselves in the process. Especially now in this season of peace and goodwill towards men.
What ARE we to do about all the sexual abuse in the news recently? Harvey Weinstein? Congressman Underpants? Will it be the criminal justice system? Social justice?
Can we do anything to change this?
The Bible has a really simple solution...and maybe it really is just that simple to stop this madness.
I have been speaking (obsessed?) on what to do with Harvey Weinstein and all the others who have abused and disrespected women and children that are coming to light. What do we do? What can we do? Listen to why it will take more than laws and justice and counseling to actually change these behaviours and mindsets.
