This is the second in our series of "Let the Ghost Fly" guest mixes, contributed by our good friend and scholarly world traveler, Brian Paulding (You may also know him as Dorcas Morton, or that dude from the Cape who plays the trombone in all the Reggae bands). As one of the most laid-back individuals on the planet, he was able to put together a mix with a similar personality and charm - featuring some Icelandic reggae by Hjálmar, A Jack Kerouac outtake, Tiny Ruins, K'naan AND Phil Ochs all in one stunningly versatile 33 minute set. Take a break and listen.

I've never been able to figure out based on descriptions alone whether or not i would like something before hearing or seeing it. so what I'm trying to figure out is what it is that ties together my favorite shit from all corners of the world. this volume comes closer to an answer using deductive reasoning, and concludes that it isn't cops. -Brian P.
So, you may have noticed that we've been on hiatus for a while. We haven't been completely unproductive though -- Our internet radio show on KSFS just finished it's second season and was nominated for best original program in the SF State Broadcasting Dept. If you dig minimal techno, electronica, and house music, give it a listen (http://www.thephysicsengine.blogspot.com/). We'll also be releasing some podcasts in the near future that are full of new electronica, so don't you worry. In the mean-time, here's a bit of an eclectic catch-up mix of tunes we like, just to let you know we aren't dead. It works good for late night/early morning type listening, but I'm not your dad. We, the Physics Engine, don't know if you know Jordan Seliger. Thus, we don't know just how much significance this mix will hold for you. But we don't really care. Primarily, this is a great collection of songs. They're longer than the tracks we typically post, but just one listen through the mix and you'll be glad you downloaded it. It bounces around genres, variety is still one of our top priorities. Secondly, this mix reflects what Jordan Seliger is to us. Most of these songs Jordan directly showed us. The others are songs he's maybe never heard, and maybe won't even like, but just seem to brew thoughts of this vastly talented renaissance man our brains.
