Celebrate teachers and a joy of reading with The Book Love Foundation Podcast. Hosts Penny Kittle and Julia Torres and their guests help teachers develop a love of reading in their students. It is a show filled with information, inspiration, and book love. The show focuses on the value of reading in a student s life when that child has access to books and skilled teachers who are committed to rich and rewarding reading lives for their students. The show helps teachers learn to foster a love of reading by using book choice and independent reading to help a student s reading increase in volume, engagement, and complexity. Teachers will learn from Penny Kittle, Julia Torres, past Book Love Foundation Award recipients, and Book Love Foundation friends like Donalyn Miller, Teri Lesesne, Kylene Beers, Tom Newkirk, and Kelly Gallagher and others as they share thinking and strategies around book love that they use in their own teaching.
