Your mind is very powerful. It has the ability to automatically search your subconscious mind and recall the information you need when you need / request it.

It’s like Google on steroids.

Here’s proof: What was your kindergarten teachers name?

The answer just seems to spring out of nowhere. From deep within your subconscious mind, with all the resources you posses, the answer to that question was identified, brought to the surface, and given to you, all within a fraction of a second.

This is one of the most powerful mechanics of your mind and I talk all about it in this episode.

This is a direct copy and paste of a real email that I just received...

“Hey bro, I been followin you for a while now, and I got a serious question that I want you to answer no bullshit. How can I make a million dollars? What’s the best way? Remember, No bullshit!”

Below is my no bullshit answer:

Some would say that there are many different ways to make a million dollars.

Others would argue that there is only one way.

Regardless of where you stand, here is a 2 step plan for making a million dollars...

Guaranteed.

No bullshit.

Step 1: Find a hot market.
Step 2: Provide 2 million dollars worth of value to that market.

If you do that, you will make a million dollars.

For most markets that means creating A LOT of content.

The more content you publish, the more eyeballs will see your offers. And the more consistently you do it, the bigger (and more responsive) your audience will grow...

I talk all about this (and more) in the newest episode of the Marketing Minute Podcast.

Give it a listen and enjoy!

Hey guys, what's going on? Welcome to the Marketing Minute podcast with Justin Glover. My name is Justin Glover. (Music plays).

All right guys, welcome to the podcast. I've got something that I wanted to talk about with you. Hopefully it's not too loud here. I'm walking in the park actually, and there are some mowers that decided to fire up their engines about the time I decided to fire up my cellphone podcast here. Anyway, hopefully that not too loud for you. If so, I apologize because you're going to miss some really good stuff, and I'm going to talk about it anyway.

All right, here's the thing. I was just on a Master Mind. I have a daily Morning Master Mind call which if you guys don't have one I recommend putting something like that in place because it's very helpful for keeping you accountable.

I don't know about you, but for me I'm really great at planning stuff out and making plans and structuring things and saying, "Okay, here's what I'm going to do. Here's the steps I need to take to do it. Here's when I'm going to take these steps", all of that. I get it all planned out.

Then my downfall is following through. You make all these plans on Monday and then Tuesday comes and all of a sudden there's so much other stuff going on. Or the steps that you wrote out weren't quite as clear as they needed to be, and you're not really sure what to do. For whatever reason, multiple reasons, you don't end up doing it. Then the thing gets put off and all that.

We make these plans when we're clear headed. When we're very "Zoomed out", what I call it. We're looking at the business as a whole. The plans that we make are typically pretty good. They're a pretty good plan if we just stick with them. The problem is most people don't stick with them.

For me, one of the ways that I stick with the plans that I make every day is by simply just talking through it and telling others what I'm going to do, saying, "Okay, what I need to focus on today." By the act of telling others, it allows me to then focus in on it. Sort of like this podcast, the act of me recording these podcasts and telling you guys, "Here's what I'm going to do when I get to the office.", Or, "I'm headed to the office to do this thing", or whatever.

That helps me get clear, and it helps me focus on when I walk into the office I know what I'm doing. I didn't have the desire to procrastinate or clean off the desk or whatever. I'm just fired up, I go right in, go right to work on what I need to be doing. That's the way to operate. If you can relate, if that's something that is beneficial for you. If you're the same way I would recommend setting up a daily Master Mind of some sort like that.

If you're interested in joining my Daily Master Mind it does require a certain type of person. Just shoot me an email, justin@results513.com. We were just talking yesterday I believe about adding one or two more people. It's at 8:00 central time every morning. If that time is available for you and you're interested in getting on the phone chatting for half an hour to about an hour is the longest we ever go. Sometimes it twenty minutes, sometimes it's an hour. Just talking through the day first thing in the morning getting clear. We can brainstorm some ideas and use that time for whatever's necessary after we get the stuff taken care of that we need to get taken care of. If you're interested shoot me an email, let me know.

Anyway, what I want to talk about. [Inaudible 00:04:11] that could be a podcast on its own. I may do one for that later on how to start a Daily Master Mind.

I'm walking to the office, I've got a five or six minute walk. I came over to the park to do a little walk, record a few videos for the webinar that we're doing tomorrow night. A couple of videos for the "Thank you" page that will help people show up. Give people further instructions to add it to their calendar, that sort of thing. I wanted to do a face to face video. I'm not a really big fan of doing the office videos anymore where you stand up in front of a plain wall, or you've got to worry about getting the camera set up and getting the background all perfect and making sure there's not leftover food setting out in the back and all this stuff.

I just prefer recently at least, when I need to do a video I just take out my iPhone and I go for a walk. My office is about three blocks from a park, so I just go walk over to the park and I go for a walk, flip out the iPhone and record whatever videos I need to record. They seem to be working fairly good. I think the iPhone approach is a more casual type of video. I think people are going to be more receptive to watching that video whenever I put those type of videos out on my Facebook page. Then I know that they tend to get a better response.

I personally think if you're creating products or really paying attention to the marketing world, I think that type of video, that style, that personalized approach, I think that is going to be the future of selling.

At one point we had the long form sales letters and that evolved to video sales letters. I think the next evolution is, I want to keep saying, "Flip-cam." That's what I had back in 2008, I had a little Flip-cam when those things came out. That's basically what it is. You just pull out your iPhone and do a face to face personalized video.

Anyway, man I'm half way to the office and I haven't even started talking about what I want to talk about. Hopefully you got some nuggets on those things. You never know what's going to come out of my mouth when I hit, "Record." I didn't plan on going down that route, but here we are. I've still got a few minutes, I can get this out as long as I don't get hit by traffic. Okay, so I'm good. We're in the clear.

What I want to talk about. Now I've already forgot. On this Daily Master Mind call this morning, we were talking about selling people. One of the guys that's on the call, he said, "I've got a product. I'm wanting to get some testimonials for the product. I plan on one of the things I'm going to do today is contact five people and ask them for testimonials." I asked him, I just said, "How are you planning on contact them? Who are these people, and what do you plan on saying."

He told me what he was going to say, and how he was going to contact them. We talked through a few tweaks in his script and how to approach them. I want to share a takeaway for me just a reminder of the importance of getting inside of the person you're talking to's head. Getting inside they're head before you start trying to market anything to them.

Just because you're not selling them something you might say, "I'm not selling anything. I'm willing to give away a free copy of my training if they will give me a testimonial. I'm not really selling anything." The reality is you might not be charging money for it, but you're selling them to take the time, sit down and go through your product and give you a testimonial.

How do we make that process happen better? Because just like when you're selling something, everybody you ask to so a testimonial is not going to actually do it for you. How can we increase those chances? He was asking people, that they're a little bit busy. They've got their own stuff going on. They're trying to grow a business. They're trying to build a business.

One guy, I asked him, "Are these people that are in your cellphone? Or are they personal contacts? Are they people on your list? Where are these people coming from that you're going to be asking for these testimonials?" He named off a few people. I knew one of the guys, he's another marketer in the industry, and he has a podcast, and all this stuff. Matter of fact, he had asked me to be a guest on his podcast. I said yes, but I haven't heard back from him. Yeah, that was martin. His name's Martin Ware.

Anyway, he's wanting to get testimonial from Martin. Martin's got his own podcast, he's a good dude, he's an entrepreneur, he's coming up and making stuff happen. I was telling this guy this morning, I said, "You know, when you're approaching people you need to get into their mind. Figure out what is it that they're looking for and then speak to that." An example of that is basically I said, "Okay, Martin's busy. What's he wanting?" He's wanting to grow his business. He's wanting exposure. He's wanting eyeballs. That's what he's doing. That's what he's interested in. That's what he's passionate about.

If you approach him, you need to approach him from the standpoint of focusing on that. Hey, we're working with Justin. We're getting ready to launch this product. There's going to be a lot of exposure on it. When that happens, we plan on selling this for a while, so there's going to be a lot of potential exposure. I was wanting to take a couple of minutes of your time and feature you in some of our marketing material", and just open the conversation that way and get the "Yes" conversation started, get the momentum going.

Because by doing so if you're growing your business that a hard offer not to respond to. "We're going to do this big launch, and we want to feature you on our page. Are you interested?" "Yes I am. Thank you very much for thinking about me. What can I do to make that happen?" That's the mindset that most entrepreneurs will receive that message with.

Start the conversation is the first thing. You've got to start the conversation. Then once you start the conversation then the next step is you direct the conversation in a way that you want to direct it. For this particular example, once we know that Martin is interested, or anybody is interested in getting that extra exposure, then we tell them how.

That's the next step. "Okay, what do I need to do?" In this case, it's just a matter of saying, "Hey, we're doing this product launch. I know that ..." The products about mind set. I meant to give you the specific example. The product is about mind set, and the material applies to anybody, really.

It's not like Martin got to where he is today because of buying and going through this product that we're referring to here. That's not the case. However, in the product they tech certain mind sets that are very important. Martin agrees with those mind sets. Martin believes those mind sets. He's used them in his business to grow his business.

That's really all that matters. We're not asking him to say, "Hey, because I bought this product I'm where I'm at today." Simply get him to relate, "Yeah, they're teaching these mind sets. I've used these mind sets personally in my business to get where I'm at. Thank you guys for putting out this product. Thank you guys for doing what you're doing for the industry. I highly recommend it. I know what they teach. It's amazing stuff, and you should buy it."

That's what we're going for. That type of endorsement will be very beneficial for the people selling the products. It will be very beneficial in the sales process. At the same time, it give Martin or whoever the ability to plug their site, to get the exposure. They can tout some of the, "Here's who I am and what I've been able to do."

I did a video testimonial for these guys as I was walking just a few minutes ago. Right when we got off the call I was, "I'm going to do one because it would be the right thing to do. I believe in the product. I believe in what they put together and what they teach." I actually have sat down and went through it. Whenever my daughter was born I turned it on. They sent me a copy and I turned it on and walked around, put her to sleep and listened to it.

Anyway, it's a win-win situation. The point of all that is when you're approaching people even for testimonials, if you want to get testimonial, you have to keep in mind who you’re talking to. If you're talking to a super busy person, you've got to keep in mind what you're asking him.

This guy this morning, he was telling me, "Here's a few people that I want to contact." I said, "Okay, pitch me. What do plan on saying to them when you get them on the phone?" He told me and it was good. It wasn't bad, but it could have been a lot better. I tuned out after thirty seconds of him talking. Not because I want interested, but basically that just my attention span. It's just not very long, which it isn't for anybody else either.

That's the first thing. I was, "How are you planning on pitching it? Let's make these changes. What if instead of focusing on asking, Hey can you look at your schedule? I know you're busy, can you take a look this week or next week? One of these weeks can you take an hour or an hour and a half of your time, sit down, go through the product and then tell me what you think?"

That's a pretty big commitment. Even though we're not asking him to invest money, we're asking him to invest an hour and a half, time, whatever. In this case, I don't recommend getting testimonials that are just made up and fabricated. That's not what I'm going for. You guys know me, that's not who I am, or what I'm about. That's not the way you should do business.

In this particular case, they're teaching certain mind sets. They're teaching things that I have. That I personally believe in. That I have put into practice, and that have gotten me to where I'm at. It's one hundred percent okay, and I'm totally fine saying, "I've used these same things that they're teaching. I've used the same things to grow my business to make millions of dollars on the internet. It's cool and you should buy this thing. Because these mind sets are what has helped me, and they're going to teach them to you for free, and they do a darn good job teaching."

I'm fine saying that, that's very powerful for him. I said, "Let's make these changes." In a lot of cases this is something that you can do when you're approaching somebody who doesn't have a lot of time. Somebody who you know is super busy, but you want to get a testimonial for your thing or whatever. In that case what you can do is you can do an outline of the product.

You can just write up an outline that they can read through in about ten seconds. You can say, "Hey." Once you've got that, "Yes" momentum, and you've got that, say, "I know you're busy. I'm looking to get some testimonials. Here's an outline of what we actually teach in the product. Here's the main mind sets that we teach. Here's the take away's." Be brief, you're not teaching them here. More than likely they know what you're teaching. They've interpreted it in their business in this particular case of mind set.

I said, "Write up an outline. Then you can send that outline to them and say, "I know you're busy, here's what we teach. Can you read through this? I know you've used a lot of these mindsets and you recognize the importance of them. Would you mind reading through it and just writing up a sentence or two on the importance of how these mind set shifts have made in your business? I would appreciate it", blah blah blah." All of that stuff.

Making it as easy as possible, and at the same time giving them what they want. I wouldn't have known any of that stuff unless I would have been able to get inside the mind of the person that we're talking about here that we're approaching. I know that number one, an entrepreneur, someone like Marin, wants to grow their business. That's how we open the conversation. The second thing I know is he's probably busy and doesn't have a lot of time, so I want to make that as easy as possible on him to actually be able to help me with this and give me desired result that we're looking for.

Knowing those two things tells me, "Approach it this way, and then send him an outline, and not ask him to go through the whole product." That's the thing that I want you to remember. When you look inside the mind of the person you're talking to, the person that you're selling on whatever you're selling. Does not necessarily mean the product that you're selling, but you're selling somebody on something. When you do that, look into the mind of that person, and then give them what they want, speak to them.

Ask yourself, literally think about this. Once you know what they're concerns are, ask, "How can I get my message across in a way, if I was them, if I was in their situation, what would get me to respond? What would get me to say yes? What would get me to respond in the way that I'm asking this person to respond right now?" Always ask that question. If you do, I think that your messages are going to be so much more effective. Your communication is going to get better. You're going to get a lot more yeses. You're just see things get a lot easier.

Another quick example of this. Literally just yesterday one of my customers emailed me. She's in our Ignition Master Mind. We have a certain curriculum that we go through in there. She's trying to get ... I don't know, something's going on, she's needing a letter of recommendation for something work related to so she can get a promotion or whatever. She asked me, "Can you type up something saying basically I've got all these skills and I'm the right person for this particular job, or promotion", or whatever it was. I said, "Yes, of course." Because she's in our Master Mind, and we like to take care of those people, and do these type of things for them.

At the same time I said, "There's something else that you could probably do that's going to be more effective. Get inside the mind of the person that's going to be reading this letter you're asking me to write. Get inside the mind of them and say, what is it that they're looking for? What is it that they want? Why did they start this position? What are they looking for? What problem in their business are they trying to solve? Then demonstrate to them that you can solve that problem. Whether that be a video. If they're looking to expand their video presence, or somebody who understands the internet and media. If they have a vision of they think, "Our business is going to be better with videos", then guess what would stand out above everything else? If you responded to them in video form, that would be cool, or showed then some videos that you have."

Just a couple of things to think about by understanding the mind of the person that you are talking to and communicating with. Your message can be honed in. It can be a lot more effective, and you will get a lot more yeses, a lot better results in everything you do.

I'm at the office. Hopefully you found this helpful. If you did, please, "Like", I don't guess you can't, "Like" this podcast. I don't think there's a "Like" button on iTunes. Depending on where you're listening to this, on iTunes, or PodOmatic, or wherever else, on a website somewhere. Wherever you're listening to it, there's probably some options to share, or comment, or like, or whatever, please do that. I would appreciate it. If you got value. I'm trying to, I would love for this podcast to be shared, to continue to grow, and get a little audience here.

I'm going to be giving you guys some stuff that you guys will hear fist. You won't hear anywhere else. This is my place for dumping my thoughts and my ideas. A lot of the ideas that you see, a lot of the things that you see me doing in our business start as ideas which I talk about here on this podcast. It's a great measuring stick to see what we're doing, and what's important to us, and where we're going in our business.

With that, we have the ambulance in the background, so I'm going to sign off, and we'll see you in the next episode. Thanks for listening, bye bye.

In this episode you'll hear the final name I decided on for this podcast... You'll also hear an important (somewhat emotional) story from the past, that contains one of the best pieces of advice I can think to give you as an entrepreneur. Enjoy!

========

What up, you guys? This is Justin Glover. Welcome to the Marketing in Minutes Podcast.

That was the third time in a row that you have heard me say, "Marketing in minutes." I thought I would give it 3 times. I didn't really feel it the first time that I said it. I got some feedback that agreed with me. They didn't really like the name. They preferred Marketing Minute Podcast. I gave it 3 days in a row, and I'm still not feeling it. The decision has been made. The name of the Podcast is Marketing Minute. The Marketing Minute Podcast with Justin Glover. Boom. There we go.

I will still probably get the logo redone because I'm still not a fan of that. It just looks a little bit amateur, to be honest with you. I don't really like the black on the bottom half. It's too dark. The red is a little bit too dark. It doesn't pop really well in the marketplace. It didn't really stand out. I want to get that updated, but the name has been set, so there we go.

Anyway, what I want to talk to you today about is something that's very, very important actually. Matter of fact, it's so important, this is a real-time Podcast. I've still got 2 or 3 episodes in the bank that I've prerecorded. I've just been uploading those in the order that I've recorded them up until this point. Today's episode is real time. I wanted you to hear it, and I wanted you to hear it now because it's that important. The reason I tell you that is because, tomorrow, I'm going to start uploading, or I guess Monday maybe or whenever, I don't know. The next episode will be one that's already prerecorded before this date, this whole time and space conundrum that we're in.

Anyway, you know what I'm trying to say. If I say anything that's a little bit confusing over the 2 or 3 episodes, just don't worry about it. You can completely ignore it. That, now you know why. Hopefully, the idea is I'm getting in the habit of doing these things so I won't have to have episodes in the bank, so to speak. I can just do them real time and getting in the habit of doing them. I don't know. I'd like to do them daily maybe. I'm sort of liking it, but I'm not going to commit to that just yet.

What is this episode? What's so important that I had to interrupt the pre-recordings and get this out now? The underlying message here that I want you guys to pick up, and I'm going to tell you a story of a certain situation, and I want you to, as you listen to the story, listen to it with the underlying message of "it's important who you surround yourself with." All right? It's so vitally important.

The story I want to tell you is I just literally thought of this and sort of pieced it together, so it may not come out incredibly smooth, but just bear with me because it's important here. I think you'll enjoy it. I want you to hear it. The story is about my experience with 2 people, sharing office with 2 people in the past.

I had this roommate, this office mate, I guess you would say. There's two different ones. There was the main person and then there was the assistant-like person. The assistant sort of served both of us, would do things for me every once in a while, would do things for the other person every once in a while, but, when it comes to actually paying the rent, I paid half the rent and they paid half the rent. It was an even split between me and the other guy and then our assistant.

Let's see, where do I want to with the story? One day, I come into the office and my office mate, the main guy, I hear him talking. He's talking to his assistant and telling her about the Conway Corp. bill. Conway Corp. is our local cable network, the Internet bill and all that stuff. They just sent this notification out in the mail that said, "We're going to be changing up our Gmail stuff." They're going to be changing up the Gmail stuff. The Gmail stuff, whatever that means, like I didn't even know what that means. Basically, they're moving mail servers.

My office mate, I had my business, he had his business, his business was repairing computers. Repairing computers, when stuff went wrong, they would bring their stuff to him, and he would repair them. It was interesting to me. I walked in one day and I hear him complaining to his assistant and he's telling her that ... He's just going on and on with, "Man, it's ... It, it kind of sucks because, um, I ..."

Okay. Sorry about that. I had to pause this recording and ask myself, "Do I really want to tell this story?" I don't know. It's interesting that came up, but the answer is, yes, I do want to because there's a very, very important lesson here. I think you guys need to hear it.

Anyway, I walk into the office one day. I'm just going to call this other person my partner, all right? There's me, my partners, which is not my partner, he owns his business that repairs computers and fixes things for people in the local area, not partner, but we share the ... I'll say roommate. All right? He's my office mate. I'll call him roommate and assistant.

Okay, so I walk in, and my roommate is calling. He's sitting there and talking to the assistant, saying, "Conway Corp. changed up some stuff and they ... they're going to cause a bunch of confusion, so, come Tuesday, everything is going to be broke. Everybody's going to be calling in." He's just like overwhelmed, like it's a bad thing. Right?

I'm sitting here thinking, like I'm hearing this. If I'm hearing this as a computer repair person who makes a living repairing, fixing things like this when they happen, this is good news to me. It sucks that people's stuff gets broken because of a change, but if ultimately the change is better, then the change needs to happen and, also, that's what I'm here for is to fix, to be solution whenever things do get broken, to make my life better because I'm generating an income as an entrepreneur to make their life better because they are not sure what to do and I'm there to help them alleviate that problem. It's a win-win-win situation, so everything, everybody ends up being better on the other side.

That's the way that I looked at this situation. This is a good thing that is happening. All right? That sort of made me start to think. I was like, "Man, that's interesting." Anyway, I went into the office and shut the door and I fired the computer up and I sat down. I actually brought breakfast in. I grabbed my breakfast. I was just sort of walking around in my office, pacing back and forth, eating breakfast, just sort of thinking and getting ready for the day, thinking about the day and that sort of thing. It was fairly quiet and you can actually hear what's going on through the walls.

What had happened is I heard my roommate walk out and like he was having a conversation with the assistant, and I couldn't help but hear what they were actually talking about. I was so intrigued by the last thing that they were talking about. I'll finish the story in just a second, but, literally, as I'm recording, I just realized why I was hesitating on telling the story in the first place. I think it was because, I don't know, maybe subconsciously I felt like you guys are going to think down on me or think bad of me because I was listening to, I heard this conversation that I'm about to tell you that I heard. I don't know. Maybe that was my thing. Hopefully, you don't. If you do, I'm sorry. It's just the way that my morning happened, so that's the way I'm telling the story.

Anyway, back to the story, I hear my roommate telling the assistant, he's talking and saying ... I picked on the middle of the conversation. I don't know. I was listening to the end of a Podcast episode myself or something as I walked into the office and then it was just ending up. It just happened I was walking around, sitting there, eating my breakfast sandwich and just sort of getting ready for the day and I catch the middle of this conversation.

He's saying to her, "Okay, I don't know if it's just, you know, if, if you're getting, you know, if you're sick or if you're just ... if you're losing your mind or what, but, for the last few weeks, things have been getting worse. Like you're not on your game basically. Like you're supposed to be doing this job and you're supposed to be doing it this way, and you're not doing it. All right? And I don't know why I'm telling you because I'm concerned partially, but I'm also telling you because I, I want you to do it the right way. I'm, you know, I'm tired of fixing mistakes," basically is what he's saying to this person.

This person, she's not taking it well at all and saying, "That just doesn't make sense." Like, "It doesn't make sense for you to even say that." Like I'm just sort of picking in the middle of this conversation and so I don't know exactly what's going on, but I could hear the frustration in my roommate's voice and I could hear how he was talking to the assistant. At first, I didn't like it. At first, I had these thoughts of, "This is the reason you're, you know, you're being so negative and you don't ... your business isn't growing because you're looking at, you know, Conway Corp. making a change, you're looking at that as a bad thing and, you know, you're talking down to, to your assistant, like you're talking unreasonable." That's how I thought when I first heard this. All right? When I first heard it, that's sort of my initial reaction.

My roommate is like, "I, I don't think, you know ... I'm not saying this to hurt your feelings. I'm not saying this to talk down to you. I'm saying it because I truly am concerned and I want things done the wrong ... the right way. And you're just, you know ... More consistently, like it's getting worse. You're, you're not doing things the right way."

I thought, "Hmm, okay, well, that makes sense. That ... It definitely sounds genuine." Like it totally wasn't the way that I initially was, was hearing it, but as I heard him say this, I was like, "Okay, well, you got to, I mean, you got to be doing stuff the right way." If I was in his position, I'd probably be feeling the same way. Like why is stuff not being done. I could truly understand his side of the story at that point and his viewpoint.

That got me thinking. Like, "All right, well, I see both sides of the story," and then I started thinking about my experience with the assistant over the last few days. Just 2 days before that, I was talking to the assistant and we were checking something. It was something incredibly simple. She just had to log in to something, and there was like 2 or 3 little mistakes that she made on there, not a big deal, but I noticed it as well. I'm making this connection and I'm sort of seeing this and seeing like, "Okay, yeah, I've, I've noticed it also," so then that got me thinking.

That's the second time that I've actually had to pause this recording, which is interesting because out of all [inaudible 00:14:44], I haven't had to pause any. I don't think I had, but maybe a couple of times just so I didn't run off the road or something. Anyway, what I was saying, I just sort of wrap my head around, okay, where am I going with the story? I promise you I will get to the point, so thanks for hanging in. I know I ramble sometimes.

I hear the desperation in my roommate's voice. He's telling the assistant, saying, "Look, I'm, I'm saying this because I, I need help. Like I'm pointing this out because I need you to do better. I'm, I'm in a place of, of desperation. I, you know, just not taking a good viewpoint on it." That was sort of the second thing that I had heard him say with a negative attitude for that day. He looked at the Conway Corp. thing the wrong way. He looked at this the wrong ... basically coming from desperation.

Then the third thing, he kept talking and, I don't know, a minute or so later, I heard him say so-and-so used ... He mentioned somebody's name. He said, "So-and-so used this new software to do the books and so, now, I have, you know, she's already done them in this, and so now I have to use this one. And this is the one that I have to pay for instead of ..." If I'm looking at this ... I don't know. It was a negative sort of spiral thing. Like everybody was down. He was down and thinking negative about stuff. The assistant was down. She was upset and just didn't understand. That was a negative mood, and then this third-party person comes in, and she's in a negative mood. She gets brought into the equation.

I don't know this person, but I would assume that, if my roommate takes the conversation to her and says, "Hey, look, you used this thing. You screwed up," like I would assume that she did that probably for a reason. That would bring her down and put her in a negative spin. It just wouldn't be a good thing. It would just continue to grow and be a whole stuff. It's just not really that good. That's why it's so important that you surround yourself with people that make you better, people that lift you up, people that are supportive, people that listen, people that you feel like you can confide in and talk to.

The people that you surround yourself with, literally, they have a direct impact on the results that you get. If you've heard this before, but you're still hanging hanging around the same people, notice that and then go do something about it. Not tomorrow. Not a year from now. You've already said it before, so go do it now. Don't wait on it any longer. Just go and do it.

I heard Kevin O'Leary, that dude from Shark Tank. I heard him speak [of traffic 00:18:07] and conversion. I don't know if it was last year. Maybe 2 ago, but he was talking about this and, at that time, like it spoke directly to me because I was going through a lot of the stuff with my previous business partner that wasn't so nice. Not that he wasn't so nice. I was going through a lot of stuff that wasn't nice regarding my previous business partner. I liked him as a person. He's a great person. I truly believe that.

Anyway, we were going through this stuff. It was one of those scenarios where I needed to just cut ties, like just end it and let go of it and release that negativity that I was holding on to. I'm sitting in the audience listening to Kevin O'Leary speak. I'm in the very back of the room, getting ready. We're late for a meeting. We're going somewhere to meet up with some people to do something. I don't even remember what it was. That's not really the point.

I'm listening and recording this, and I hear him say, and like he [inaudible 00:19:26], like he speaks directly to me. He's like, "Look, if ..." He starts going on [this tangent 00:19:31]. Like that is such a bad thing. "If you have the wrong people in your environment, then it will ... You're destroying yourself. Like, literally, it will destroy your business, any possibility of you building your business. So, if you want to build a business and you have somebody in your environment that you know is not doing it good and you know is holding you back and bringing you down and you don't do something about that person, then you will not build a successful business, not the one, not the type that you want."

When he said that, he said, "There's somebody listening that you know exactly who I'm talking about, and you got to cut the cord. You've been saying you're going to cut the cord. You got to do it. You go to do it now. Pick up the phone. Do it right now. If, if you can't call him right now, do it first thing on Monday morning." That's when I made the decision to just let that go, to release that and move on.

I want to give you that permission as well because if you have that in your life and you're telling yourself, "I want to build this business. I want to do these things," but you know in your heart that there's people in your environment that you're still associated with that are holding you back from that, then you need to do something about that because the choice is yours. It's literally just a decision. It's a choice. You can not do something. You can keep those people in, but I want you to know that, when you do that, you're sacrificing this business that you're saying that you want to build or the result that you say you want to, to accomplish, that you're saying, "I don't want to accomplish that more than I want this other thing, that I want these people ... these people in my, in my environment."

I know it's hard sometimes. Maybe it's not a scenario where you have to cut them. It's not like you have to completely shun them and turn your back on them and never speak to them again. Maybe it's not that type of scenario. Hopefully, it's not. If it is, you're going to know better than anybody if that's what it takes or not. If you know that's what it takes, then that's what it takes. You got to do it.

I've had to do it, and I've had to do it with people that I didn't want to. It's a tough decision. I mean getting emotional just thinking about it, but you got to do it. I'm telling you, you got to do it because, until you do, you can't get this other thing that you say you want so bad.

Anyway, that is it for this message. I apologize if it was a little all over the place. I'm sure it was in some parts. I think I got my appoint across. Hopefully, whoever needed to hear it will hear it. Thank you very much for listening. I appreciate it. I am only working for a couple more hours. I'm going to head back to the office. I'm just right up the [inaudible 00:22:51] the parking lot so that I didn't get lost while I was recording this. See, learn from your past mistakes, too.

You have to listen to the previous episodes for that if you're new and you have no idea what I'm talking about. I got lost on a Podcast episode, and like 3 episodes in a row you hear me in this whole journey of me being lost. It was quite funny actually. Anyway, what was I saying? Yeah, I'm going back to the office to finish up. I'm working on a project. We've rolled out this new program called Up Your Audience. We haven't rolled it out, but I'm recording it right now and building it. It's really, really cool. I'm getting excited as to how everything is coming together.

I've got a lot of stuff that's recorded and mapped, but it's sitting on my desktop, so I've got to get it into the actual members' area where the members that have paid for it and are going through it where they can start going through it and consuming it and giving any feedback. That's my focus for the next few hours. I'm only working about a half day today. The very first thing that I'm going to do when I get to the office is upload this Podcast and get this out to you guys because I think you need to hear it.

That's the plan for today. I hope your plan is awesome. Have some fun this weekend. If I don't talk to you before Monday, then hopefully I will see you on Monday. That's it. Thanks for listening. Share this with a friend if you enjoy it.

Thank you guys for the ratings and reviews. I appreciate it. I know Wes has left a rating and review. [Chiffon 00:24:38] left a rating and review. Everybody so far has rated it 5 starts, except Wes.

What's up, dude? You rated it 4 stars. No. I'm just kidding. You probably just clicked the wrong button or something. I don't know. 4 stars? Hey, I'll take it. It's better. I can't complain.

I appreciate the ratings. It's really cool. We jumped up from like outside of the top 100 to the top. I was in like 46 yesterday morning and then, this morning, when I checked in like number 30. That's pretty cool. It's on PodOmatic though, so it doesn't mean ... I don't really know what that means, but thank you guys for the ratings and the reviews.

Let's see who else left one. Howie left a review. I appreciate that. Let's see, Jason, I don't know. If I forget your name, I'll read through. Definitely, thank you guys. I saw them. I see the reviews. I know I've had other people say that they've left reviews, but I guess there's like an approval process where it take like maybe 24 hours or so before they actually show up, where I can see them and where you can see them.

If you've left reviews and I just hadn't seen them yet, thank you guys so much. I appreciate it. It helps me get to the top of the search engines or the top of the iTunes Store. I think it does. I don't know. That's my hallucination. I appreciate the support, nonetheless. Thanks for listening. We'll see you in the next episode. Bye bye.

In this episode you'll hear my thoughts on "work life balance" and why it's perfectly OK to get "out of balance" from time to time... In fact, sometimes it's required.

==========

Hey you all, it's Justin and welcome to the marketing in minutes podcast. All right, I'm on the way to the office right now. It's about 10:30. I just left the doctor with my daughter [Kenna 00:07:45]. She had to go to the doctor. It's her 12 month checkup. Her birthday was yesterday, she turned a year old. We went to the doctor this morning and the past few days have been crazy. I'm driving into the office right now finally. I have two webinars today, one at noon and then all I'm doing today is working on a presentation. Getting at 4am last night, woke up at 7am this morning to do a call. Literally been getting between two and three hours of sleep for the last few nights working on this presentation.

There's a lot that goes into creating a really good offer and registration copy and then there's promoting a webinar. We're doing this webinar and the webinar is tonight. It's a sales webinar to bring some- in this new offer to bring some money and I put together this new offer that I talked about I think on a past episode. Anyway, tonight's the night for the webinar. I'm like 25 to 30 percent done with the webinar. I have to finish up the webinar. I have to test it and I have to set the membership site up all before tonight.

Luckily, my partner Brenda is taking care of the membership side of things. I can focus on the presentation and get it done. I just want to talk to you today about balance because we always strive for achieving this work life balance and sometimes things get all work and we're unbalanced for a little while and not doing the things that we really like. I just wanted to talk about the fact that that's okay sometimes. It's not healthy to do it long term. It's definitely not something that I would choose to do all the time, be unbalanced and working this crazy type of schedule and stuff all the time.

When I'm building something, when I'm putting this together and creating it then it's a little bit different in my eyes. I see it as it's worth being unbalanced for a little bit to do the work that's going to be required to get things set up. With this webinar for example, we had to set up the final and the emails and the promotions and I had to worry about getting people there and had to create the offer and create the presentation and all of these stuff, set up the members area. All of these stuff that goes along with it but the great thing is once it's done, it's done. Once it's done the first time which will be tonight, then I'm going to have a webinar that I can actually tweak and I can adjust and modify from there.

Sorry, there's cops sitting. I just passed two cops. Anyway, I can take the feedback that I get from tonight's webinar, make new changes, make new tweaks and then do the same webinar again next week. Then do the same webinar again next week and I keep tweaking and changing and once it gets, the conversion gets where I like it and the presentation is final, then I can take it on the road and go out to other people's list, other partners and say, "hey, you know, here's the stats that I'm getting on this particular webinar. Do you want to fill up a webinar for me next Thursday," let them sell it for you. That's the plan and once you have the initial foundation laid.

Once you got all the work done up front, you front load all the work, then you can sit back and just deliver it, and just do the webinar every Thursday and Thursdays become a day for you to make most of your sales for that week or whatever. That's what I plan on doing. It's what I did with my very first webinar that I ever created, my reverse sales webinar. I just rode that thing until it stopped working and I just kept adding and kept adding, put all these work in up front and then every week just deliver a webinar and make some money. That's depending on which way we want to go, that could be the entire business model or at that point we can automate it and start doing some other stuff.

Anyway, that's what I'm doing. I just pulled up to the office. I've got a few hours to go in here. I'd like to have it done by three, where I can go test run though just to check timing and stuff like that. I've got a few hours to get this thing knocked out and it's going to be fun. I'm a little tired but I'm very excited. I'm fired up because tonight is a night we've been waiting for for the last couple of weeks. Well, ever since we had the idea to put this offer together and do the webinar. It's always a lot of work upfront but it's going to be worth it and I'm excited.

For you, I recommend looking at your business and say, "okay, well what's something that I could do that I've been meaning to do that I haven't done because it takes you know, a lot of work." I would suggest maybe reconsidering putting in that work. Doing that work, doing what's necessary. Front loading everything and go unbalanced for a little bit. A period of time, a week or two weeks or whatever that it takes. Get to the point where you have something that's done and then you can zoom out and go back to balanced. Then you have the extra money to do the things that you want to do and make life more enjoyable. That's my advice to you. Look at your business, see what's something you've been not doing because of it seems like a lot of work. Revisit that. You need to revisit it and go ahead and put out what you want to put off, is it worth putting off- putting in the work upfront right now.

Anyway, I'm here and looks like it's maybe about to rain. I'm going to get in the office before I get wet and we'll see in the next episode. Thanks for listening guys. If you enjoyed this podcast. If you're getting value from them, I would appreciate if you leave comments. Give me a five star rating, if you enjoy it and share with a friend. Take the episode, share it with a friend. Post it on Facebook, something like that, where we can get some more listeners. That is it for today and I will see you in the next episode. Talk soon. Bye.

In this episode I talk about a new sales strategy that I'll be testing out on our sales webinars in the very near future. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's going to make me a lot more money... And I think it will make YOU a lot more money also. (If you use it) Check it out.

Hey what's going on everybody, this is Justin Glover, and welcome to Marketing in Minutes.

So I'm still not sure what I think about the name. I think I'm second guessing it. I think I prefer the name, "Marketing in Minutes" because it's marketing tips, marketing advice in little chunks in just a few minutes a day. The only problem is I looked up the domain, I guess it's not a problem, I looked up the domain marketing inminutes.com and somebody already has it. I may make them an offer on it. I don't know. There's nothing on the site but I'm not crazy about the graphic, I'm going to have to get that re-done. I think going forward, I'm going forward, I'm going to refer to this as the "Marketing in Minutes" podcast. I don't know. I'm still curious, let me know what you think, let me know if you have any ideas, suggestions.

I know there's a little of a delay because as I'm recording the episodes real time, I've still got 8 or 10 episodes that have not been published to iTunes, so I've got a few in the bank here. I publish one or two everyday until I can find a more efficient ... Or every other day or so until I find a more efficient process. It does take a little bit of time. I have to listen to them. I don't really edit anything but I do like to put the little intro thing in there. Let me know what you think. Maybe we'll go with it, maybe not, maybe we'll ... not really sure. I'm uncertain at the time.

What I want to talk about today is, I'm driving to, I've got a few errands to run actually, my first stop is across town, so I've got a little bit of time and I wanted to talk about something that's been on my mind lately that I think will be something you will enjoy, help you make some more money especially if you are doing webinars. The topic of what I actually want to talk about, it's an idea, it might bring in some more sales and be cool, so here's what we're doing. We're having a webinar, we're doing a webinar a sales webinar on Thursday. I got to thinking awhile back, not awhile back, just a week or so ago about the time I started this podcast, I got to thinking and looking at some of my old offers from my previous company that I built on my own. Now I have a partnership with Brenda and Results 513 is our company together and that's really the only thing I focus my time on.

I was looking back over some different offers and things like that. I looked at my most successful, my top 3 most successful offers. I got to looking at them and 2 of them, well 1 of them technically wasn't, but I consider it to be, there would be 2 of them that would be million dollar offers. 1 of them we did have a double charge and that pushed it over and it was literally up to the minute but as the very end as I was shutting the program down. We grossed over a million dollars but did not settle a million dollars in payments received. Regardless, we had two really successful offers with that company. I got to thinking about that, the fact that I want to do, I want our first, I want a million dollar offer with Results 513. It usually starts with a sales webinar of some sort. That's the plan, we've got a lot of stuff that we're doing and working on but one thing that we're doing is we're doing a sales webinar. I'm actually doing it myself for the first time here this Thursday as I record this, so in 3 days from now.

I've been working really hard on that. Super focused on getting everything ready for that. We're following the traditional sales webinar format and added in a few things from, actually a lot of things from Russell Brunson's "Perfect Webinar" that he teaches. He's got a "Perfect Webinar" script and things like that. We're following that and just a few little things we've picked up over the years to put this presentation together. One cool thing that we're doing that I haven't done in the past but it just got me thinking, is after we make the first offer, the offer is going to be for 997. It's a packaged deal. There getting this stand-alone program that's going to sell for like $500, they're getting that but they're also getting a lot of this really cool stuff, a year to Results 513 and this Solution for Traffic and Copyrighting and Follow Up and all these different things. The whole package deal is, the irresistible offer is 997.

With that, what we're going to do is obviously we're going to pitch it at 997 initially, but towards the end, I was thinking I was just building up the slides for this, I was thinking I'm probably going to end up putting in a slide or two, at least one, towards the end where we make an offer, so that if they just want "the thing," the one core thing that they're getting, which would be this product for five hundred bucks that's all about building their audience and walking them through that whole process start to finish, that way their audience is more engaged and all this so they can get this product as a stand-alone product. Eventually we're going to turn it into a sales presentation and it will be it's own product and webinar and all that and it'll sell for either $500 or $300 or something like that.

What we're doing for this particular offer is we're just giving them the option, okay maybe $997 is too much for all of this, or maybe you're thinking you don't need all of this stuff. How about if you're still here, you've obviously seen more, seen some value in the audience. In the close I like to personally layer in and really talk a lot and continue to teach as I close and tell stories and take that angle so it keeps people hanging on. It's not this dry shift to, now I'm going to do nothing but sell you, and I'm done providing value and all that. That doesn't typically work that well. Once people get the value, they're either going to buy right then if not, then they're going to get off.

What I'd like to do is talk a little bit more in this ... I think that's part of the strategy here, is to talk a little bit more and teach a little bit more and sell a little ... as you're selling, when you get to the sales part of your webinar ... I'm talking about a free webinar where you have as many people on, you provide them some really good training and just walk through the typical process. What I think I'm going to, at the end of it, if they haven't taken us up on the package deal, instead of offering a payment option, because I really just don't want to do that, but instead of offering a ... we'll test it, if payment option is the best fit then we'll go that way eventually, but initially that's not what we're going to test.

What we're going to test first is taking away the bonuses. Taking away the other parts of the package and just offering the stand-alone thing for $497. The package will be $997 and obviously the value will be a lot more, but if they don't need the 513 stuff, maybe we'll give them the condensed version of that, 2 months or something for free because that is a necessity for everybody. The support, the community, the foundational type of stuff, the ongoing piece is importation. Maybe we pull out the traffic stuff and the followup stuff, and the copyrighting stuff and just offer the stuff on how to build and engage your audience and have that as the core offer.

It got me thinking, that's one thing i think we're going to make a lot more sales. If I'm talking ... As I'm going through and continuing the sales process, and I'm at my first stop so I'm going to have to wrap this up, but as I'm going through and continuing the sales process ... I'll continue to teach and talk and tell stories but they'll all be related to that core initial product. The product about their audience. That way I'm continuing to increase and string on the desire that they have to want to buy this product, continuing to build the value of the product in their eyes as I'm selling, just that one core product.

That's not the offer that we're selling on that webinar. The
webinar is selling the full package thing, all of the stuff. We're going to close that several times, do the traditional close, stack it and at the end, just add in the option, maybe the whole package deal is not for you, how about just this core thing? It will be $497 and by the way, you'll get to go through and help us actually create this product, blah blah blah, just offer that drop down option for them. What I want you to think about is, number one, is that immediately relevant to your business, if not, how can you make it relevant? How can you look at your offers and say, what's a piece that I can pull out and what's my core piece, what's the main thing that I'm selling in this particular offer? Is it one training, is it one thing, is it one particular subject matter that you're teaching on that people are really buying?

If so, have the package deal that you offer them for the one price, and if they don't take that, just offer them that one thing for a discounted price. It's really the core price that you want to sell it for but you're just, you start selling it, you add these other things to it to create the package, sell it for higher. Look at your offers and just see, what can I pull out? What are some of the things that I could take out and offer that core thing as a down sell if they don't take it?

I'm going to be testing it. Again sorry, I got distracted and started rambling there for a second. I've got to go, I'm at my first stop, and we're going to be testing this and I will let you know how it works in the future. If you're enjoying these podcasts, getting value from them, please go and rate and review them on iTunes, just go to iTunes store and search for "Justin Glover" or "Marketing in Minutes." In this episode you'll hear me talk about what I believe is one of the main secrets to creating customer loyalty. (AKA repeat buyers) Plus... I may or may not go on a tangent about Chick-fil-a condiments. Enjoy!

==========

Hey, what's going on? It's Justin Glover and welcome to the Marketing Minute podcast.

I've been sort of wavering up and down. I'm on the fence about what to name this podcast. At the moment, I'm just going to decide we're going to call it Marketing Minute podcast with Justin Glover. Could very well change in the future. If you have suggestions, still you can send them to me. From now on, that's what this podcast is going to be referred to.

In this episode, what I want to talk about is something that I find just fascinating. It's a unique way to think about business. I just came home and exchanged vehicles with my wife. She's got a few things to do. Last night, I was working. I've been working really late on a new project. My office is sort of right across the street. If you go across the street and up the road a little bit, there's a Chick-fil-A. Literally, it's on the way home. It's right there.

I went through a time when I would stop in and get their coffee. They would give away iced coffee for an entire month, and it was really, really good. I would stop and get one of those every single morning. Then they would give away this ... Let's see. What was it? The Frosted Lemonade. They would just give those away for a little bit. They were delicious. Literally, I bought one of those things everyday for three weeks I think when they first came out. I sort of learned what they're made up of and had to stop that because it was going directly against my weight loss and fitness efforts.

Anyway, what I want to talk about is I love their condiments, right? I don't know what the stats are on Chick-fil-A. I know they're a very successful business. I know they're a fast-growing ... I haven't looked up the specifics. I don't know the specific stats, but I do know they're a big company. They're growing really fast. They have a very, very loyal audience. The people that enjoy and eat Chick-fil-A, they enjoy it, and they eat it often, and they share it often.

I believe I heard somewhere it's like the fastest growing business in the South or the biggest business. I'm not really sure what that stat was, so I don't want to quote it. What I do know is they're a great company, and their condiments are amazing.

Let me tie that back in from last night. I've been working a lot on this project and so I stopped by Chick-fil-A on the way home. I picked up a salad. They have a Cobb Salad. It's really good. They have these red bell peppers, these charred tomato red bell papers that they put, these little [package 00:03:20] that they give away for free and put on top of them. That's one of my wife and I's favorite parts are the bell peppers that go on top and so we always ask for extra.

Well, I didn't last night. I was so tired. Matter of fact, I didn't even ... I'm just now opening a salad because I came home last night and immediately I just collapsed, and put the salad in the refrigerator, and just passed out, so I didn't even eat it.

It's lunch time here the next day. I just pull it out. I put the whole bag and everything in the refrigerator. I pull it out and start taking stuff out of the bag. I noticed there's a couple of other things in there. Number one, there's some Chick-fil-A sauce, which I'm not actually sure how that get in there. I don't remember asking for Chick-fil-A sauce, but I could have or maybe it's just something I saw setting out and put there, maybe just happen to be sitting on the counter. I don't know. That was in the bag as well. Then some Honey Thai Almond, which I've never seen. I just tried them for the first time, and they're actually really good, too.

There are all of these little free sample sides. The contents in them are amazing. The Honey Thai Almonds are really, really good. They just got a unique taste. The crushed red bell peppers that go on top of it, those are really, really good. They just got a unique taste, and they make the salad and make the actual meal. Then Chick-fil-A sauce, if you had to figure out what's your favorite condiment in the entire world, if I had to pick, my favorite is Chick-fil-A sauce by far, hands down. I love the taste. It's just good.

I got these three things here that are all free from Chick-fil-A. They are what I really continue to go back to Chick-fil-A to experience, the sauce. I don't do this often, on occasion, I will go through Chick-fil-A just to buy french fries, not because I want their french fries, it's because I want the Chick-fil-A sauce. I love that. I'll do that on occasion.

It just got me thinking. That's the reason I go back. I know that other people, that's the reason ... In my mind, that is how Chick-fil-A is building value with me. I think it's very interesting because business is similar in regards that the stuff that you give away for free, if it's good, then people are going to want more. They're going to purchase more. They're going to buy more. They're going to be more fascinated with you. You're going to have more influence over them. You're going to have a higher position of authority in their mind. All of these stuff, it's all good by simple ... It's all formed by just putting good stuff out on the front end.

I just want you to think about that. Look at the content that you're producing. Look at the frequency in which you produce it. More specifically, to kind of keep on track with this episode, look at the quality of it. What are you producing? What are you giving away? Is it really good? If it's really good and you're giving it away, then imagine you're probably doing pretty good in business. I imagine that people are opening your emails. They're buying your stuff. They're doing pretty good. All right.

If not, then you're very, very close. It's just we got to find the whole, find the [tweak 00:06:55] which is something that we're actually really, really good at. That's the reason we created our business because that's what we enjoy doing.

You're very close. Don't give up if that's you. If you don't have that, you need to start building that audience, start developing that rapport and relationship with people. You do that by putting out good stuff on the front end. Find your best stuff, package it up, give it a way and just see what happens.

That is it for this episode. This salad that's sitting here, it looks tasty. I'm going to finish up this episode and eat a salad.

I have a big day planned. Let me see. What am I doing? I just jotted down a few things that I need to actually do. I got a blog post that I actually just recorded, new podcast episode. Boom, this is done. I've got a training that I've to go to.

Then I've got to figure out ... I've got two new offers that I'm debating on which one do I want to create because I'm creating a new webinar, a new sales funnel, webinar sales funnel that we're going to be sending a lot of traffic to. We're going to be really focusing in on that for the next little bit to really put some money in the bank and start growing the company.

However, I can't decide between one or two offers. I've got one offer completely done. I've got another about halfway done. My job for today is to finish up and decide the other half of the offer. Finish that one up. Then compare the two and just pick one. That's what I'm going to do. I've got that lined up for the rest of today.

Then, probably just going to hang out and spend some time with my wife and daughter for a little bit this afternoon. I haven't got a lot of time to spend with them lately, so I'm going to enjoy that. That'll be fun.

That's what I got going on. Hopefully, your day is doing awesome. Think about how you can put some of your best stuff out. Think about the quality of the free stuff you're putting out and enjoy the rest of your day. We'll see you in the next episode. Bye-bye.

In this episode, you'll hear me talk about my next million dollar offer... You'll also get an inside look at my creative process.

=============

Hey everybody, what's going on? This is Justin Glover, and welcome, to the Marketing Minute podcast.

All right, hey everybody, this is Justin and, I am driving, into the office. I've got about five minutes or so. I wanted to make a podcast because, I am super excited today. I've been thinking recently about the business and, sort of looking at a lot of my past promotions from my old business, and sort of seeing how I did things, because I think it's important to not, forget, the past. If you've done really great things in the past, it's very important not to let those, just sort of fall by the wayside and be forgotten, and wither away into nothing.

I like to schedule periodic times, where I review and just sort of look over, and, just sort of like "walk down memory lane", so to speak, to look at all the stuff that I did. I find that doing that, it's actually very inspirational. It's great for idea generation. It seems like the right promotions, and the right sort of, things, you run across, that are relevant to the existing situation so ... Anyway, that's what I've been doing for, the last little bit. One thing that just sort of stood out to me, I noticed, one of the coolest things that I did, in my old business is, I put together an offer that made over a million dollars.

I legitimately created, a, million dollar offer. It was my first one, and my only one so far. I've made several million other dollars, but they haven't been generated from one specific offer. It's been a mixture of other things, all sort of together. I got to thinking about that, I was like, "You know what would be really cool? I want another million dollar offer." Just, from setting that sort of intention, and directing my thinking in that direction, I'm right there on track, to put together a million dollar offer. That's what I'm actually doing. That's what I'm focusing on.

It's really cool and I'm excited because, today ... I actually just pulled up to the office ... I'm actually just going in to, grab some stuff to charge my computer. I'm going to download a few videos, that I know that I need to go through some training videos, for inspiration, motivation, that type of thing. Download those to my computer, get it fully charged, and I am headed out. It's sort of a cloudy day. I'm headed out to, another town, a neighboring, city where I live, and I'm going to go climb a mountain, and sit up there, and sort of spend some time in nature.

The goal of this little, retreat for half a day, is to do nothing but put together that offer. I want to think through a lot of things. I've got sort of an idea of where I want to go with it but, I find that, just sort of getting out, and putting myself in nature, and getting somewhere else other than the office, it really helps me to stay focused and solidify what I'm trying to put together, something that I want to be big. That's my plan for today.

I would suggest for you, if you haven't changed your environment, get out, change your environment every once in a while. Especially when you're doing your creative thinking and, trying to do the work that we as entrepreneurs, really do. The stuff that really leaves our legacy and really grows the business. When you're trying to do those things, put yourself out in nature, change your environment. I like to climb mountains, go out for hikes, and find very beautiful views, and stuff like that, just to get away, and change things up. It's always helpful, and I would suggest that you try it as well. That's what I'm doing for today. I'm looking forward to seeing you in the next episode. Talk soon. Bye.

In this late night episode you'll hear the latest about our $50k idea. You'll also hear about our $5500 gift.

===========

Hey, what's going on? This is Justin Glover. Welcome to a late night edition of this podcast. Fun fact about this podcast, it is 10:15pm at night and I'm headed into the office. I just left the house. I'm actually recording this the same day that I recorded the last two podcasts. This is my third recording for today which is pretty cool. I'm headed into the office to get some really cool work done that I want to tell you about. Welcome to the podcast.

Like I said, I'm headed into the office. It's after ten at night. We got about five or six-minute drive. I just wanted to talk about what I'm going to do. Number one, because it will help me actually get focused on what I need to accomplish when I go into the office. Plus, I'm really, really excited about this because just from an idea a few hours ago, earlier today, an idea, simple shift in asking questions and here we are ...

Sorry about that. I think I got cut off, my alarm that's set on my phone, to tell me to go into the office. I got a couple of hours of playing with the kid and the wife and ate some good dinner. That's what I'm doing.

Again, like I was saying, it's amazing to me what happened over today because when we ask the right questions and when we focus our attention in the right places, amazing things can happen. Our vision for the future, our confidence, our belief in ourself, everything has went up tremendously the day since we started asking these right questions. I'm a big believer in the right questions. I'm a big believer in the fact, what Tony Robbins says, where energy goes or where focus goes, energy flows. We have a ... We're a testament to that today because we literally just were ... We started focusing on one question. That's where our energy went and now we have a solution which is pretty cool.

I'm excited to get the sales letter written and I'm going in today. We're going to simply ... I journaled that, a few of our next several steps as I was waiting on the food at TGI Fridays. We're good to go. We're going to put this thing together. I'm going to start by offering something really cool because the list that we have is in a different market. It's different customer than we really want after we were talking about it. I'm going to be talking about that more over the coming episodes.

We're making a lot of changes and we're going to shoot for selling two of these things just from one email. I'm going to try to get an email out or I'm going to the office right now to write the email, to write the application process, and get everything set up, and get the email set to go out tomorrow. Hopefully, we can have some sales really quickly and then we'll start going from there. We'll start getting creative in building an actual sales process for this particular offer that we put together.

I've got a really great and freaking amazing bonus for somebody. We're going to give them a bonus retreat for the first two people that actually buy something that we were going to do anyway. We just actually mailed for it where the retreat is five thousand or fifty-five hundred. I'm not sure. We're going to buy that for somebody because honestly, there's not a ton of overhead in our business. We don't have a lot of margin and a lot of delivery cost with this new offer. There's quite a bit of profit there.

We're going to take part of that and give our first few members an amazing experience because we want to kick it off on the right foot. We want to make sure that our members come in and literally transform their lives. We're taking them to see our mindset coach which is something that we have ... We're excited about that opportunity at altogether.

We paid twelve thousand to go down or more than twelve thousand to go down last year for something smaller, where he was doing something really cool and made us a special group, a discounted rate for four people. That's really cool. We're excited about that. We're really excited now about actually presenting somebody with a five-thousand-dollar gift or fifty-five-hundred-dollar gift, whatever it is. It's really cool. We're pumped about it.

Now, I'm here at the office. I just pulled up. I'm going to unload, get in there, and get the sales letter written, so I can get home and try to get to bed at a decent hour and get up tomorrow and do it again. Fired about everything.

Thanks for listening. If you enjoy this podcast, then share it. Tell somebody about it. Let others know. I would appreciate it. Let me know that you enjoy it. Leave comments, post on Facebook about the show, tag me in it. Meet Justin Glover is my personal Facebook thing, so facebook.com/meetjustinglover. I'm not sure what my other one is. It may be full. Thanks again for listening. I appreciate you. We'll see you in the next episode.

In this episode you'll hear me drop a little parking lot wisdom. One thing I talk about is celebrating your wins... But that's just the beginning.

===========

Hey everybody. This is Justin and welcome to episode number 13 of this podcast. Fun fact about this particular episode. I'm still at TGI Fridays, but I'm done, that's the good news and I'm leaving, I'm sitting in the parking lot. All right, let's get into the episode.

Okay, guys, so what I want to talk about, I just wrapped up my little celebration in TGI Fridays. They are fricking packed. Like it took so long to ... You know what? I'm going to not drive. I was sitting in the parking lot. I just had the car started. I was thinking about doing it because I don't want the food to get cold, but I'm going to take five minutes and go ahead and speak so I can hopefully focus and get it out. But I just wrapped up. I'm fixing the hat on my head. Two drinks. That didn't probably sound good. I'm definitely not intoxicated.

One was like a mudslide or something like that, had just like a tiny bit of alcohol. It was delicious. Sarah had one last time we were here and I was like, "Oh, I would love a chocolate shake. That would be really good." That's basically what it was. Then I did have a Disaronno on the rocks, because that's one of my favorite drinks at the moment. I just had one and took like an hour or probably 30 minutes for them to actually come and take my order and so I was already done with the first drink and then like another hour or so to get it cooked and brought out to me. So it's not like it I'm intoxicated or anything.

Anyway, I'm just really ... A couple of things that I wanted to talk about. Number one, we set this goal of ... We asked this question. We've been asking this question over the last ... Well today earlier, but I talked about it over the last couple of episodes. We asked the question of what could we do to bring in $50,000. It turned into once we asked that question within about a couple of hours we had it figured out, like we had the answer or the beginnings of the answer. Now we're to the point where later on tonight like after we eat and the kids go to bed or the kid goes to bed and my wife goes to bed and we get to hang out for a little bit, then we're at the point where I'm just going to sit down and write the email to send out, write the questions that we're going to be sending people to, and the offer is going to be up tomorrow. It's really cool and I'm excited because we could potentially literally make the 50 grand tomorrow.

It's pretty cool. We wouldn't have thought about it if we wouldn't have asked that question, so I just wanted to reiterate the importance of asking the right question. Whenever you decide what you want to do just ask the questions that you need to ask in order to accomplish that. That's the first thing that I wanted to talk about.

The second thing I thought about it on the way out. Okay, I remember now. One thing is celebration, celebrate your wins and just don't let anybody tell you no. We're celebrating this one. I had Linda take our business card, the bank card that we've got with the money and the account stuff and she went out on a dinner date with her family, and they all went out and just had a good time and celebrated a little bit. It wasn't necessarily because of the idea because I didn't tell her until after she was already leaving the restaurant. But she had a good time and it was good and a little celebration. I came to TGI Fridays and our business covered that. It was really good to just get a chance to celebrate.

We were thinking today like whenever I told the team, I told Jess and I was asking, "Okay, well what are we going to do," like be thinking like what are we going to do when we hit this goal, because we've got to celebrate together as a team. I think I just came up with it while I was in TGI Fridays, because Brenda was texting me saying that she was watching behind the tank or behind the tank of Shark Tank and she quoted something from there, was telling me a story that there was like a ... What was it? Like a life-size doll of us or something like that. I don't know if ... I was like, "Yes, that's what we have to get," like that's what we're doing, is we are getting life-size dolls of us as super heroes when we hit this goal, when we get our first two sales of this new $25,000 program that we've put together today.

She was like, "Well, it's just a startup. They don't have them yet. It's just a prototype concept or something." I was like, "Damn, bummer, but that would be really cool. So let's try to find it anyway." I know that there's cardboard cutouts that we could get made, because Jeff Walker has one. I've been to his events and he has what he calls super Jeff. It's like this life-size cardboard cutout of Jeff and it's really cool. I liked that idea. We're going to try to do something cool, try to find more than just a cardboard cutout if we can, but get something like really nice. But I think that would be really cool.

Everybody on our team is going to get one when ... It's just like me and Brenda and Jess on our team. When I say on our team it's literally just the three of us. We've got developers and we've got tax people and payroll people and that sort of thing, and they're amazing. We couldn't do business without them. But that's what I've referred to when I say team like me, Brenda, and Jess at the moment, because we talk every single day, we meet on a huddle and all of that.

Anyway, when we hit that $50,000 goal, basically when we make the first two sales of this new thing that we came up with, that's what we're going to get, we're all three going to get like these life-size things. I told Jess to go ahead and start looking for something and we could do it.

Then Brenda was like, "Well, I don't know that I really want one of these massive things hanging around in my house." She's got three kids. I'm like, "Yeah, you absolutely want one. The kids are going to be amazed by it. Like it's just going to be really cool. And then on top of that, like you know they're going to want one. Like how cool would it be to have one, like have one of each of them, like get all of them a life-size cutout of them as a superhero and be able to tell that story on why you have it and why you're getting it. Like it'd be really cool and like you could tell that story to them and all that."

So that was pretty fun that we set a goal for that when we sell our first ... Let's see what was it? I don't know, 10 or something like that. That's when they get their things. That will be 250 grand, a quarter million dollars in revenue from this one idea.

The next milestone is the spouses, the spouses get one. But here's the thing, and let's see. You know what? I don't know if wa- Okay, I'm going to tell you guys and now we just have to keep the podcast hidden from our spouses for the next little bit unless, I don't know, if maybe they will [inaudible 00:08:06] to get it, anyway. But what we're going to do we're going to surprise them.

Please don't go and share this with the spouse if you're listening to it. Maybe or found out I don't know, but we're going to take it and we're going to get life-size cutouts of spouses and at one of these like this new $25,000 program we're going to have like little meetups, like live events and staff forums. So at one of these we're going to have both of our spouses actually come and then sit in the room for a little bit and surprise them with a life-size cutout of their self.

Because they're going to know what they are and they're going to know the story and what they represent at that point and all of that. Because we're going to have them in our house, and you can't really hide something like that. So they're going to know and it's just going to be fun. It's going to be a good time. I'm looking forward to that for sure.

Anyway, that's pretty much all I wanted to say. I just wanted to give you the updates on that. So be looking for that down the road. The other thing, let's see, there was a ... I had an idea for free plus shipping, like a new free plus shipping offer and funnel, but I'm not going to get into that right now. I have something to think that stuff out. I'm sure you'll hear about it very, very soon in the next upcoming episode. Thanks again for listening. We will talk soon. Bye-bye.

Oh wait, before I go, don't forget, if you really liked this podcast, please share. Please share the podcast, comment, rate, review. Name suggestions at this point, I don't know if there's a random name on the podcast and you're listening and you haven't heard me mention it or I'm still calling to something else, then right now as I record this it's Marketing Minute, but who knows whenever you're listening to this the name may have changed. In this episode, you'll hear me talk about the only 3 ways to grow a business... Plus, I FINALLY made it to TGI Fridays!

==========

Hey, what's going on? This is Justin. Welcome to the next episode, what episode is this? Welcome to episode twelve of this podcast. Fun fact about this particular episode, I still haven't made it to TGI Friday's.

Hi, what's going on guys? Yes, I'm still actually driving. I'm actually recording this literally, I don't know, five minutes afterwards. I got lost. I'm on my way to TGI Friday's, so if you listened to yesterday's episode you heard me talk about I was on my way to TGI Friday's to celebrate and I got lost twice because I was talking. The second time like it looped me way around so I had like seven to ten minutes extra out of the way. That's when I'm actually recording this. Now I'm on a straight shot. I should be there ... Just when I come out at the end of this road, it'll be right in front of me, so I should be good to go.

This is what I actually want to talk about today. I want to teach you something that I think you're going to find very valuable. I'm assuming that if you're listening to this you already have your own business, you're already doing business so this is going to make sense. If not, then we have Results 513 that you can use for help with that, but go ahead and start your own business. You got to get that out of the way. Otherwise, anything that I'm about to say, it's just not going to make a whole lot of sense.

If you're not there yet, if you don't already have an active business, then definitely check out Results513.com because that's what we help you get, we help you get an active business up and running.

Anyway, here's what I wanted to actually talk about. I've been really recently thinking about this because we're trying to grow ... We're really focused on growing this business because, I don't know, we want to grow it. I'm still sort of laughing because the road that I'm actually on is not the road that I thought so I'm not coming out right in front of it like I thought I would, but I'm aware of that and I know where I need to go. Anyway, my sense of direction is hilarious sometimes. Let me make sure that I know where I'm going. Yeah.

What was I saying? Yeah, if you want to grow the business there's only three ways to do that. There's nine thousand different ways, but they all fall into these three ways. This is something that I actually learned from Jay Abraham. Somebody introduced me to him, one of his videos, years ago. I heard it and I focused on one and it worked and it worked really well and I grew the business and, I don't know, I forgot about that video. I forgot about this particular thing. I was actually recently re-reminded about it as I was listening to Russell Brunson's podcast, Marketing in Your Car. He was talking about it in one of his older episodes and so I pulled it up and started re-going through some of his trainings and it was amazing.

The three ways to grow a business ... There's only three ways. The first way is you can actually get more customers, right? You can go out and get more customers, bringing more customers in. There's two things to know about this. Number one, that is the most expensive way of the three. It's the most expensive. The second thing is it's also sometimes the hardest. That's the first thing, go out and get new customers.

The second thing is you can increase the ... Sorry, I'm trying to find a parking spot. The second way to grow the business is to increase the average transaction, the amount of money that they spend when they come through and come into your world and buy your stuff, so the average transaction size. That's a number that you need to figure out, out of all your customers, all your products, what is the average size of your transaction. When you figure that number out, if you can increase that you will grow your business. Oftentimes that's ... These are things like the upsell path and the upsell flows that you put together to increase the average transaction size.

Looking at your funnels ... Look at your funnels and say what can I add? Is there a new upsell that I can add into this? Can I tweak it to maybe sell more of this upsell? What can I do? That's the second way, increase the average transaction.

The third way to grow a business is ... I'm still not finding a freaking parking spot and it's ridiculous. It's super busy. The third way is to get your customers to buy more frequently. Get your customers to buy more frequently. That number right there, that's a number you need to know that most people don't. Most business owners just absolutely do not know how many times the people purchase from you per year. On a twelve month period how many times on average do people buy? To be honest with you, at this moment I do not know that number for our company, so that's going to be something that we're going to focus on in the very, very near future. As soon as we do a few things, that's absolutely something that we're focusing on. That's the second thing. No, that's the third thing, the amount of times that people buy.

This is doing things like creating new products and telling them ... If you create a really good product and somebody buys it and they enjoy it and then you don't try to sell them anything else, they're going to kind of be ... I mean I don't know how they might take that. I would personally be offended, like you created this really great thing, it was amazing, I doubled my business because of it or whatever, I want to do that again so create the next thing. Give it to me.

I've had people that have done that for me. They just stop creating products and, I don't know, it's like screw you. I thought you liked me. I appreciate the help. I'm very grateful for that, but come on. That's what I want you to think about. I go into detail on that because that was a block that I had for so long. I wanted to simplify and only have one or two things. That's not necessarily changed, but ... And this is a whole topic for another day so I don't want to go too far into it and sort of leave you confused.

I would encourage you to really just start thinking about which of those three ways ... Where are you spending this most time? What numbers do you need to figure out to look at so that you can move these numbers up and down? Once you have the numbers and you know how frequently people are buying, then once you know that you can adjust it. You can do stuff and move that number up and down. That's what you've got to do. You've got to get the number and then that way you can move it up and down. That's the way things grow. Figure out the numbers, put those in place and that's the way you grow a business.

Like I said, if you're enjoying this podcast please feel free to share it. I would assume eventually that I will have some stuff put up where you can go subscribe and join a list or let me know that you're listening or something like that. I don't have that right now. The only thing that I have is the iTunes comments and shares and reviews and ratings and emails that you guys send me, so that's all I got. Please continue to do that. It makes me feel good. It's one of the best things in the world when I get emails and things like that that tell me that people are digging my message.

As I actually record this, I have not got any emails or any comments or reviews of this particular podcast simply because this was only an idea a couple of days ago, so they're not published. I will be publishing them and depending on when you listen and when you'll be receiving it, hopefully you're enjoying it. I really appreciate you. I want you to know that. Share it if you enjoy it. I would appreciate it. Either way, we'll see you in the next episode. Bye-bye.

In this episode you'll hear me talk about a recent situation where we solved a major problem in our business, simply by changing the question that we were asking. You'll also hear me get lost while I'm driving. :)

===============

What's going on? This is Justin and welcome to episode number 11? 11 already, that's very cool. Welcome to episode 11. All right, so what's up guys? What I wanted to talk about with you today is ... I don't really know what I want to talk about. I'm on my way, I'm driving to TGI Fridays. It's Friday night, 7:15 Central time as I actually drive. Today's been interesting. It's been a very cold day. I got to the office and I've been really struggling with this question for a while and I've been trying to figure out the answer to it and I could be going round and round in circles in my head about it and could not come up with the answer, and today actually came up with that answer. The funny thing is the answer to the question that I was struggling so hard with, the answer was I was asking the wrong question. That's the answer. I was asking the wrong question, and I just needed to ask the right question and I wasn't doing that.

I'm not going to get in to the wrong question that I was answering but I will give you the right question that I was answering, that I decided to ask. The new question is ... We were in a interesting time. We got a lot of stuff going on and to be quite honest, we could use a little infusion of cash just so we can actually both pay ourself and really reward ourself from the hard work that we've done because we've been building this business so much and really haven't [inaudible 02:09] everything back in to it and had not a chance to pay ourself, and that put stresses on the family life and we really wanted to avoid that as much as possible. Whenever we notice that at anytime we can, we try to make sure that the business is putting money back in our pocket until we get out of this growth stage and really get to a point where it's doing that consistently because after all, that is the purpose of the business.

I was going through and ... Let me back up here. Hang on just a second, I have to actually turn around. I'm driving my car so this is ... Good, this isn't a one way. I'm downtown, in the place where I actually live in. I lived here my whole life and I still get confused when I come down here. It's very awkward. I'm almost back on track. I believe up here. Okay, got it.

Where was I at? I'm driving to TGI Fridays and today's been a really cool day. I was asking a wrong question. Anyway, we're in a position where we could use a little infusion of cash to really help us out, so we decided "Okay, here's the new question. What can we do to bring in $50,000 in the fastest, quickest, and easiest way possible?" That's the question. All we had to do was just change questions. We started asking that question "What do we need to do? How much do we need to get out of this tension spot that we're in?" The answer was "If we had 50 grand, that would definitely be a good starting point, so let's [inaudible 04:17] out. What do we need to do to make that happen in the fastest, quickest, and easiest way possible?"

When you just switch the question that you're asking, it was very interesting to see this play out, and this is the reason I love questions. Asking the right question is just beautiful because that's the solution to everything, pretty much, just asking the right questions.

It's been really cool to see that play out because we started asking the right question and I enrolled Brenda and told her "Here's the new question that we need to focus on" and I got the rest of the team and just said "Look, this is the question we have to be asking. Let's just focus on this question" and within, I don't know, I guess it was about 3 hours, I was about 3 hours after posting that question and just setting my mind to answering it, and I got a little reward for myself, I said "If I can stay focused on this, then I will treat myself to the Red Bull" because there is one sitting in the office fridge and it looked really good and I really love Red Bulls. I don't drink much anymore, but I said "Okay. I'm going to drink that if I can stay focused on this for the next 3 hours" and I did, and what's really cool, what's even ... I get to drink the Red Bull but what's really cool is we came up with an answer to that question, and I'll let you guys know over the next few questions how that plays out and I'm sure that you will be seeing and hearing about the changes we're going to be making and all this really amazing stuff that's going on.

Exciting times, exciting times. I'm almost to the restaurant that I need to be at. I think I'm almost there, hopefully I didn't miss the turn. Anyway, I think I did, actually. I'm just going the scenic route. I didn't anticipate on this broadcast being very long. I just got from here to the restaurant, but when you get lost twice, that takes a little bit of an extra time. Anyway, I'm going to wrap this up so I can enjoy the rest of my night and go and have a drink to celebrate, and got my journal with me, [inaudible 06:46] to writing this recap on the day and then celebrate. Thanks for listening. If you're enjoying this podcast, please share, comment, let me know. Also, I really like the idea and sound of "Journey of an entrepreneur". I'm liking that theme. Let me know what you think about that for possibly a name or a theme of the podcast, I don't know. All right. Talk to you soon. Bye.

In this episode you'll hear me talk about a realization I had while sitting at the eye doctor. You'll also get a quick experiment to try that just might make you happier.

==========

Hey, everyone, and welcome to the Marketing Minute Podcast. My name's Justin Glover. I have a lesson for you today from the eye doctor. All right. Hey, guys. I just left the eye doctor. I just actually left the eye doctor, went to the office, and picked up a few things that I forgot to drop off at my CPA the other day. I am on the way there. I've got about a six or seven minute drive I think. I thought you know what I'm going to go ahead and record another podcast episode. I don't have a fun fact. I do have a good little lesson just something I was thinking about while sitting in the eye doctor.

I was going and my purpose for going is I ran out of contacts. I wear contacts. I also have glasses that I wear on occasion whenever I run out of contacts. If my eyes are really dry or something like that, I'll wear glasses for a couple of days just to let them air out. I've been out of contacts for the last few days. I've been needing to go. I finally just said okay I'm going to go on the way to the office this morning, see if they have them in stock, if my prescription's still good or if I have to make an appointment or whatever. Turns out I do have to make an appointment my prescription is expired. They gave me a sample set. I had my glasses on. I've been wearing them for I think three days straight now. It's been really annoying because they're too big. I think they're Oakley glasses. They're plastic framing. They're too big. It's not a set where I can just bend them and make them tighter. I've had glasses in the past where I can just put pressure on both ends and it would mold to my head. This set won't do that. You actually have to go in and they have to use this like fine little bitty tiny screwdriver tool thing to tighten them up. It's just a pain because you can't do it yourself.

I went in. I was waiting on them to tighten them. I didn't have contacts in. I didn't have my glasses on, because I had to obviously give them to them. They take them in the back room. The lady was gone for like ten minutes. This is the first time that I've just sat without my glasses or without contacts in a long time. I don't even remember the last time that I did that. As I was sitting there, I just started thinking about how life was before I bit the bullet and went to the eye doctor and got glasses and got contacts. It's amazing to me how long I actually made it driving and functioning in school and everything, because I got glasses when I was high school. I was driving. I procrastinated on it for so long. I did not want to go.

There was a few reasons. Number one, I didn't want to wear glasses. I thought that I would look nerdy with them. I didn't really like the idea of contacts. It just seemed really painful. It seemed like just a pain in the but. They were going to be hard to put in and out, because I had seen my cousin she had contacts. She struggled with taking them in and out and sometimes would get to the point of crying putting them in. That was pain linked up to contacts. I just had, I don't know, like the wrong idea or the fact that if I wore glasses I would look like a nerd. I didn't think I would look good with them and all this stuff, right? I procrastinated on it for, I don't know, years from when I should have went and got glasses to when I actually did.

I remember the day that I got the glasses. I drove myself up there. Life, it was normal. I got glasses. When I put them on I was like, "Oh, wow, there's a difference. That's pretty cool." Then I got out and I actually got in my car and started driving. When I started driving, it blew my mind at how much better I could see. After probably thirty minutes, it was so clear that I almost started getting a headache because I wasn't used to seeing that clear. I took my glasses off and I noticed, that was the first time that I noticed, the contradiction, the difference between having them on and not having them on. The difference was massive. It was so huge because I could not see without them on. I didn't know that until I actually got glasses. All right. That's the first thing. I didn't know until I got the glasses. Then all of a sudden I didn't know how good vision could be or what good vision was considered to be. I thought I had good vision until I actually got glasses. Then I realized that my vision was pretty poor.

Anyway, I'm sitting there today in the office and it reminded me of that time. I just started wondering what if I would not have gotten glasses? What if I didn't make the decision to get glasses? Thinking about all of these years of mediocre seeing and seeing life blurry. As I was sitting there, at first it was like, holy crap, I can't see anything. Then as I've started sitting there I got used to it. I started being able to make things out a little bit clearer. I guess I was adjusting to it. It's not like my eyes were actually getting better. I was adjusting to it. If I wouldn't have gotten glasses, I probably, yes, I probably would have adjusted to it and gotten to a point where I thought, okay, this is normal. This is good. This is acceptable. I never would've experienced what really clear and crisp and good vision was which is amazing. It would have been very sad if I would not had been able to experience that for these years or if I missed out on it.

That got my thinking. There's a lot of things like this. There's so many things that we write off as being good or we consider as being acceptable and we're happy with them. We have this hunch or we know that we want to do something. For whatever reason we just put it off and we put it off and we put it off because there's other things that seem more important. I want to challenge you today. I want you to take a couple of minutes and actually think through a few things. What are the things that you catch yourself saying, "Oh, I'd like to do this one day. Honestly, I probably need to do that. I just hadn't got around to it yet. It's not that big of a deal. I'm okay with it the way that it is." Think back, what are some of those things? Maybe it's I need glasses. Yes, I should probably go and get glasses that was my thought for a long time. Maybe it's, yes, I should probably move offices. I should probably put my house for sale or whatever. It could be anything. I should probably have this particular surgery. One day I would like to have that, something like that.

I want you to just become aware of those things and pick one. If you want to, you can make a list if you want to make this into an activity. I think it would be wise if you did take a few minutes to do this. Just jot down a list. Then look over that list and ask yourself each individual thing. Look at each one and say if I did this would it make me happy? Would life be better? Is there potential for life to be better? Then if the answer is yes, then I want you to take an action that moves that forward. If the answer's yes, just do it. What are you waiting on? Just go ahead and do it. If you've been saying you want to do it, if you know you need to do it, then just go and do it. It may be this massive project and that's okay. There's one thing. One action step maybe it's making a phone call or scheduling an appointment or requesting a brochure or spending an hour doing some research or whatever. Figure out what's one action step that you can do that will take you closer to accomplishing that. I want to challenge you to do that. Add that to your to-do list for today. If it's the end of the day when you're listening to this, add it for tomorrow.

I want you to do this because the empowerment, the feeling of empowerment that you get from doing something like this would be good. Honestly, it's a waste. If it's going to make you happy, then why not do it? Why let that waste and just sit? If there's even an inkling, if you think that it has potential to make you happy, then my guess is it probably will make you far happier than you can even imagine. You need to go ahead and do it. Start the progress moving forward, take one action today and just see what happens. Just see happens. I think you'll find it very empowering.

That's it for today. There's actually a couple of other things I was thinking about inside of the eye doctor. I will save those for another day. Thanks for listening. If you enjoyed this podcast or any of these podcasts, I would really, really appreciate it if you would share it, leave me comments. If you had questions or feedback send me e-mails, let me know. My e-mail's justin@results513.com. Thank you very much for listening. I really appreciate it and hope you're getting a lot of value from it. We'll see you in the next episode. Bye. Bye.

In this episode you will hear me talk about how I get more things done when my back is up against the wall, how cutting out half of your content can make your content even better, and the power of asking the right questions. Plus, you’ll hear about a new idea that I had for this podcast... Can you guess what it is?

==========

Hey, what's going on? This is Justin Glover, and welcome to episode number 8 of this podcast. [music plays 00:00:07] Fun fact about number 8, or this particular episode, I kind of went Gary V there for a second. Sorry, I'm getting off topic. Gary Vaynerchuk has this show, it's called Ask Gary V. At the beginning of every episode, he says, "Fun fact about the number whatever." He did for a while. I don't know if he still does it, about that particular number. I didn't even plan that or have that in my head when I just started spouting off the fun facts earlier in this series whenever I started this podcast. I was giving fun facts about each particular episode, just because I thought it was sort of funny that I was recording multiple episodes during the day, or in the same day. People were going to be receiving them over the course of multiple days.

Just trying to paint the picture of what's going on behind the scenes so you can really see how a business is being built and really, you can also see what I'm doing. What my days are looking at, like a sneak peek at ... I guess maybe an inside look is a better word. Anyway, I said fun fact about number 8. That's how I got here. Fun fact about this particular episode, which is episode number 8. I'm actually recording it about an hour or so after I recorded episode number 7. Let's see. The reason that I'm recording is because I just, after I got done with episode 7, I was pulling up to my accountant. I went straight from there to the office. Got here to the office, came in, and I had an interview lined up.

Actually, I had an Ignition Master Mind call. We do these small group Master Mind calls for members of Ignition. We do these hang outs every single week, where it's like 3 or 4 of us. Basically, we just have an hour where we just do a brainstorm and critique businesses and just everything. Anyway, I did that as soon as I walked in. That lasted about an hour. As soon as that was over, Brenda and I had an interview with John Lee Dumas for our podcast, which is called Results Radio. As I record this, that podcast has not actually launched. We're recording those interviews right now. We're putting them in the bank, trying to get a bank of interviews recorded so that we're not on the spot of publishing.

That one has a little bit more structure to it than this. We publish every ... It's on a frequent basis. They come out every, I think it's 2 or 3 times a week. I honestly can't remember at this point. I think it's 2 times a week starting out. Then we'll add a third day down the road. 2 times a week, on the same day at the same time, we publish these calls. The first call during the week, the first podcast is an interview with an expert. Somebody who's gotten amazing results in their business. Then, the second call that comes out 2 days later is what we call an insights call. It's basically where Brenda and I, we talk about that particular interview and give our insights and pull out all the nuggets out of it. It's just a really cool format that I think is going to be really, really amazing.

Anyway, these interviews that we do, we're shooting to have them around 35 minutes is the sweet spot that we're shooting for. We've been recording them for a few weeks now. What we've noticed is that a lot of them are going closer to 40 minutes, some of them 45. We've been, just every single interview, in between interviews, after it's over, we'll look at the questions and say, "Well, how could we modify these questions and make them a little bit better, so that maybe we get through them a little bit quicker?" The reality is, a lot of people, it really depends on the people's answers.

Some people end up giving a really long answer on a question, so we have to make adjustments on the fly. We've been just looking at each individual question and really cutting it down. Today, we had this interview with John Lee Dumas. If you know John, he's got a military background, and he's very, very efficient. He's one of the most consistent and efficient people and entrepreneurs that I know. He gets a lot of stuff done. He only has 25 minutes. 25 minutes on the dot, from the time that we hit record on the call. We get on the call, we hit record, and from that moment, 25 minutes later, we have to hang up the call.

There's no overlap. There's not a lot of time for chit chat or anything like that. I knew that, if we didn't change up our questions, there's no way that we would be able to get done, We would have to go before we could even wrap up the actual interview. It just wouldn't be a good thing, because he wouldn't get to ... We wouldn't get around to the point where we're talking with him and all of that. Anyway, all of this is going through my head. 5, 10 minutes before the interview, I go up to the computer and I open up our questions that we typically ask. I basically just started cutting questions out. Because I had, because I had no choice and I had to get to the end, I made some tough decisions and just cut questions out that I haven't cut in the past.

By doing so, we just got off this interview, and I immediately, as soon as we hung up, I called Brenda on Skype right back. I said, "What did you think about the interview?" She was like, "I thought it went awesome. One of our best ones yet." I agree. I totally agree. It was one of the best episodes that we've done in terms of delivery and flow and just the way that it come out and happened. It was one of the better ones. I'm thinking, "Okay, well this is one of the best episodes, and literally, I just cut half of the questions that we ask out." We didn't cut half the value. There was more value that was there because of the way that the questions were structured. It's just interesting.

I want you to, there's a couple of different things to take from this, in terms of how you can apply it and what does this mean for you? Why am I telling you this? There's a couple of different things. Number one, start to notice that, most of the time, when stuff needs to happen, that's when it will get done. I think there may be a principle or a law or something like that. Something like the Pareto Principle. I know it's not the Pareto Principle, that's the 80/20 rule, but there's something like that. Maybe it's Parkinson's Law. I'm not sure.

One of those things basically states that, however much time you give yourself to do something, that's how much time it will take to actually get it done. That's true, because I've been trying for weeks, for doing these interviews. Both of us have been trying to make this more efficient, and it just hasn't gotten done. We were trying, we were just too close to it, too attached to some of the questions. Didn't want to cut them or anything like that. It wasn't until our back was up against the wall, and we got into a position where we knew, "We have to make this change, otherwise we're not going to get through the interview and it's not going to be good. We have to." We did.

It happened in 5 minutes, before the interview. It was cool. It didn't take me ... It's something that was taking up energy and, in my head, worrying about it. I wasn't really worrying about it, but it was still, to some degree, taking up some of my energy that could have been used elsewhere. It was just really interesting to see that. I want you to, when you think, how can we use this in our world? If there's something that you've been procrastinating on, set a deadline. Schedule something that you cannot back out of. Not a webinar. I used to do webinars, and depending on how many people you had on there, for a long time, that was motivation.

Then I had a couple of webinars where not many people would register. When my back's up against the wall and I'm facing this decision of, I have to choose between the pain of doing this thing that I've promised in the webinar, or I have to decide between that and the pain of cancelling the webinar. The pain of cancelling the webinar wasn't all that great, because there wasn't a lot of people registered. On top of that, I had a good reason. I came up with a way that I could have made it seem okay.

That's the first thing. Schedule something that, it literally puts your back up against the wall, that you cannot cancel. I don't know what that is for you, but when you ask that question, then you will figure out what it is. You'll get the answer. Just ask the question. What is it? What could I create? What circumstance could I create for myself that I cannot back out of? If I don't have this particular goal or thing or project done by this time, you just create a deadline for it. It will typically get done. You might procrastinate until the very last minute. At the last minute, you're going crazy. You're about to pull your hair out.

Guess what? You get it done at the last minute, and it just happens. It may not be perfect and happen the way that you perfectly imagine it, but it will get done. Then you can go back and you can tweak it, you can make it better. If you have a tendency to procrastinate, use this to your favor. That's something that I've studied for a while. This is a tool that I've used. That's the first thing.

The second thing that you can really pull from that, if I can even remember it down. I didn't write this down. These podcasts aren't scripted. What was the second thing? There was 2 lessons that I wanted to give you from that. Number one, when your back is up against the wall. The second thing is making things, like cutting stuff. We cut half of our questions out, and it was way better. I heard the interview was just better. I really think that we're going to probably stick with these questions, and leave the majority of the ones that we cut out today, I think we're going to leave them cut out. It was just a better question. It produced a show that provided more value. I think we're going to roll with it. That was something that we never would have seen had we not been forced into cutting the questions out from the interview.

Just another angle of that, I heard, I believe Daegan Smith, when he came out with what he was calling the Invisible Funnel. Basically removing all of the sales copy from his sales page, and just having a page with a headline and a couple of bullet points, and an order form. That's it, that it was converting. He was like, "Who would have thought that removing every bit of selling would actually result in me getting more sales?" I just found that interesting. Think how you can apply that note. Look at your marketing, look at your content, look at your business, and think, "What could I cut?"

If you're trying to make something. If there's a control that you're trying to beat in one of your pages that you're testing. If you're just trying to make something convert better, ask the question, "What could I eliminate from this? If I was forced, and I had to eliminate half of this, what part would I eliminate?" It's like the question that I heard. I believe it was in 4-Hour Work Week, by Tim Ferriss. He said, "If you only, if it was literally a life or death situation and you only had to work one hour every day, and that's it. If you worked an hour and one minute, then you would explode." It probably wasn't delivered in the same way. This is the jist of what I got out of that. If you could only work 60 minutes every day, how would that affect, how would that change what you've been focusing your time on? What would you do differently?

The answer is, that you would narrow down and focus on the most important stuff, and you would become much more productive as a result. You might be freaking out at first, until you realize that you're actually being more productive, because it's scary. You would definitely, in turn, be more productive. That is my rambling for today. I just had an idea for a name or theme or whatever for this podcast. I want you guys' feedback on it. I want you to send me an email, justin@results513.com, or leave comments on the iTunes store, whatever. I don't even know how to do that yet, because I just had this idea for the podcast literally 2 days ago.

I want you to just let me know what you think about this idea. My idea is, I'm starting to notice that I'm asking a lot of questions. That's personally what I've been doing. I've been reunited, I guess you could say, with the idea and the thought of the power of questions. When you ask the right questions, you get the right results. I personally have been asking a lot of new questions and paying super close attention to the questions that I am asking. Since I've personally been doing it, I've noticed a tremendous boost in my energy levels, everything. I just am more, what I guess you could consider to be fired up about life and business and everything.

Really, the only thing that I've done is started asking new questions. I've even noticed that, as I'm giving these ramblings, that in each episode, I like to make it actionable. Give you some actual value that you can take and apply. I don't want to just give you a lot of random stuff that is entertaining, maybe, but has no practical application to you in your life. When in truth, every experience probably does have some practical application, but if I don't help you connect those dots, then sometimes you won't know what's going on in my brain, and won't ever even think to make the connection. I'd like to give you some take-aways or practical steps or something, in every episode, if possible.

I've noticed that, over these last few episodes, I've been asking questions. Saying, "Well, ask yourself this question. Ask yourself this question." Helping you ask better questions. Hopefully, that's what's happening. Hope that's what's going on and what you're getting from it. With that said, this is just an idea that I had, that could be a good idea or branch-off for this particular show. Have something to do with asking the right marketing questions or, I will help you listen to this show. I'll help you start asking better questions. Some sort of hook or angle or just theme that I could potentially use down the road when I do decide to start actually marketing this thing, if that day comes.

Right now, we're just playing with it and seeing what happens from now. I'm curious. What are your thoughts? Is that something that you would be interested in? Does that matter to you? Do you want me to just keep doing what I'm doing? Do you like the idea of asking questions? Does this trigger any new ideas? They can be about questions, or totally different. Just, I'm looking for feedback on this show. I'm looking to know, do you enjoy it? What do you like about it? What do you dislike about it? What would you like to see? What do you consider the most valuable part of this show? What's the most annoying thing about this show?

As you listen, I would definitely, definitely appreciate it. If you want direct control in influencing how this show goes, then just tell me what you want. I will actually listen. Send me an email at justin@results513.con. Again, if you're getting value, definitely would appreciate it if you would subscribe, write, review and share on Facebook. Go post it on your Facebook wall. Say, "Hey, this is a very unique question, the powers in questions. I got a lot out of this episode. Go listen, I think you will too." I'd orally appreciate it if you would do that for me. That being said, we're going to call this episode a wrap. We'll see you again at the next one. Buh-bye. [music plays 00:19:37]

In this episode you'll hear me talk about the work habits I had before I started my online business... And a question to ask that might just make you think.

=========

Hey everybody what's going on this is Justin Glover and welcome to a very sunny and beautiful episode of Marketing Minute. I don't know? Is that what we're calling this thing? I have no idea. That's what I'm calling it at the moment. That may change. I would love to hear your feedback on it. Leave me comments. Send me emails. Justin@results513.com. Let me know what you think on the name. Are you digging it? Does it need to be modified, changed? Something totally different. I don't know. There's a radio station here in town and they actually have a show in the morning. It's called The Show With No Name. It's very popular actually. It's a great show. It's one of the better set of dee jays on any of the radio stations. It's pretty cool.

Anyway, I was up very late last night, past 4am and I'm pretty tired. It's 11:30 and I'm just leaving my house. Typically, I'm up quite a bit earlier, however, I was fired up, super fired up last night about this new project that I'm working on. It's going to be really cool and I'm excited about it. Something happened last night and, I guess yesterday, and I wanted to share it. I've been thinking about it. I couldn't stop thinking about it yesterday. I was thinking about my past jobs that I worked at and how I would always get praised by people saying how hard of a worker I was and how good I was at my job. I was always striving to try to get to that next thing and get that next compliment, that next praise, that next bonus or raise or whatever.

I was. I looked at what I did and it's very difficult to explain, but when I looked at the way that I worked back then, I gave it everything. I didn't hold back anything. There was no real reserve. I was passionate and I really wasn't that tired. I mean, I was tired. I had three jobs. I was working lots of hours, however, I was fueled by what I was doing. There was a level of excitement to it. It felt good to be able to step up and perform really well and have people acknowledge that. I was thinking about that yesterday. Another thing that came up was, would the people say the same thing about me now. Would I say the-if I were to look at my past self and my current self, would I say the same thing in terms of work ethic. Do I still have that drive? Do I still have that passion? The funny thing is the answer was no.

I got to thinking about why that is. What's changed? Why would the answer to that question be no? I don't know. I didn't really want to hear that at first. I had to ask ... I start asking additional questions. I got down to a question that I, I just wanted to put the possibility out and consider it. I had not actually stopped and considered it. I immediately thought, "Oh, well no I haven't gotten worse" I don't even want to think that way, so I locked up to the possibility of it. Then I asked myself, "Okay, is it possible that the past version of myself, if that version was here, and trying to build this online business and grow this company, is it possible that that version of myself could do a better job?"

The answer to that question was yes, it's possible. In the answering of that question I simultaneously and immediately made the decision to step up my game and embrace that past version of myself and find that passion again and make it happen. I'm not going to force things. I'm not going to burn myself out or stay up to 4am every single night, however, I am going to give it more than I have been giving it. If you were to ask me a few weeks ago or in the past, the recent past, "Are you giving it everything that you can," I would have said, "Yes." After last night, I don't think that I was. I'm making that commitment to myself. I'm making that commitment to you guys because I want you guys to see how amazing I can be. I can do some really, really cool stuff. I can make some amazing stuff happen because I've done it before.

I don't know. I thought that was interesting. That's sort of what's on my mind. I'm actually at my stopping point. I have to walk in and drop something off at my accountant. We're going to call this episode done. I might come back to this. I'd love to hear your comments, your feedback. I might expand on this topic a little bit more in the future. What do you think about it? To make this actual for you ask yourself that question. Start asking a question. Make it a possibility. Look at your past versions of yourself. When did you really perform really well? What would you consider to be the best time of your life when you were at your peek and doing your best and giving stuff your all?

I want you to compare that version of yourself to the current version of yourself. Ask the question, "Is it possible that that past version of myself, if that was trying to do the job that I'm currently trying to do, could that version of myself do a better job? Is that possible?" I think if you ask yourself that question you will start moving in a direction to find the answer one way or the other and I think you might find it interesting. Ask yourself, I challenge you to ask yourself that question and see what happens. Go from there. That is it for today. Thank you very much for listening in. If you're enjoying this podcast, please share it with your friends. Go over to your Facebook page, post a link to it and you say, "Hey, I listen to this, I felt this was really cool, it's something to think about, you should go check it out too." I would really appreciate it, and will see you in the next episode. Bye, bye.

In this episode you'll hear how the name "Marketing Minutes" came to be. You'll also hear about the new changes I'm adding to my morning ritual, and a brief over of what the first few minutes of my day look like.

=========

Hey, what's going on? This is Justin and welcome to episode number six of this podcasting.

Guess what? I think I have a name. Actually, I don't know that. I do have a name. I actually have a podcast graphic because I didn't know this but I went looking the other night after I recorded the first five episodes. Just to give you some real time as I record this, I am recording this episode two days later than episode five. I didn't record any episodes yesterday. I did quite a bit on two days ago so I didn't record. I had some other stuff to get done.

Now, I've got some exciting stuff that I want to talk about today. Before I get into that, let me address this name issue. I think I actually have a name for the podcast. Well, I say that. I don't know that I'm happy with it. It was forced. I went to research the other night after I recorded the five episodes. I went to research how to actually start the podcast in the quickest way possible. I literally just go to Google and I type in, "How to publish podcast to iTunes in the fastest way possible," or something like that.

I get this video. It's six or seven minutes long. It shows you exactly how to do it. It's very straight to the point. It literally takes ten minutes to set up. I start looking through this process. I say, "Okay, well, the only thing that I have to have is I have to have a graphic, like a cover." I don't know squat about making covers or graphics or anything. I probably could come up with something but I didn't want my artwork on the iTune store regardless of how on the fly this podcast is.

What I did is I messaged one of the designers on Facebook, told him I needed a graphic. I want a name on the graphic. I thought, "Okay, well, what am I talking about here? I'm typically talking about marketing stuff." Then I thought, "Well, it's like just in this one of my recording [inaudible 00:02:53], like in the spare minutes of my time, when I'm driving to the office or waiting on something, just have some down time sitting in the house." Like right now I'm sitting outside, it's 6:45 in the morning. It just isn't in these spare minutes when I actually record these episodes. I just pull out my iPhone and do them. I thought, "All right." Well, the first thing that came to mind was "Marketing Minutes With Justin Glover".

That's what I told the designer to do. He came up with this design. It's not the greatest but it's better than I could have done. Now we've got something with a temporary name but it is something and I'm actually going to put the podcast up.

Let's see, what else? I'm not sure if I told you this or not. I decided to launch this podcast with three episodes. I'm going to do three episodes on the first day. Then one episode every day for seven days. I need ten episodes basically in the can before I officially publish to iTunes which I plan on having that by either the end of the day today or tomorrow at the latest, I would think. Once I have those, I'll have this [inaudible 00:04:19]. I'm not sure, I think I went into that a little bit in one of the last episodes.

Told you about I gave myself, if I want to edit these things I'm not sure if I want to edit them or not. I think it would probably be pretty cool to put in a little bit of music just to make them not so boring, have some sort of jingle or intro or something. I don't know. I'm going to play around with it today and see what I come up with. We'll see how it turns out and see what the episodes sound like when they go live. All right, that's it or that's that.

What I want to talk about today is actually morning ritual. I'm sitting here. It's 6:45 in the morning. It's a beautiful morning. There some clouds but the sun's out behind them. There's a lot of really, pretty colors shining. I'm just sitting out here in my garage. Birds are chirping. It's not too cold. It's a little bit chilly but not too bad. I just finished up my morning ritual.

I got to thinking. I've had this same morning ritual for quite some time. I am changing it up. Ever since I started thinking about it, moving in the direction of changing my ritual up, I've noticed that along the same time frame, my energy has gone up. For me, I'm adding in the hot tub. I told you I'm cleaning out the hot tub. I'm in the process of doing that right now. I'm adding that into my morning ritual. I'm still not done with all this whole thing. I'll have it done by the end of this week, in the next few days. I'll keep you posted on that and go into detail on what the actual ritual is. I don't know. Maybe I end up doing these podcasts in the hot tub. Maybe we change the name to "Marketing in the Hot Tub", or something like that. I have no idea.

I definitely know that I want to hear your thoughts on names. I need your creative input so leave me comments on names or send me an email justin@results513.com. Help me out on a name. Names, themes, ideas, that's all up in the air right now.

What next? What else, what else, what else? Oh, morning rituals, so back to morning rituals. What I want to tell you if you don't have a morning ritual, you should really, really put one in place. Because when you start your day off with a success ritual that fuels you in all the different areas that you need to be fueled, emotionally spiritually, mentally, energetically, all these different ways, whenever you do that, you take care of yourself that first part of the day. Then it sets yourself up to have just an amazing day.

You've probably experienced this. When you get up and you start your day off right, it's just a good day. Good stuff happens. You're in flow. Things happen. If you don't have morning ritual, take some time this week. Do it. Start one tomorrow. Take a few minutes and just write down one or two things that you want to do.

There's a book that I recommend. It's called "The Miracle Morning". There's a great example of morning ritual in there. I sort of follow that same thing. Now, what they actually teach in there, it's sixty minutes doing the six most high leverage things that you could do or something like that. Let me see if I can remember these. It is meditation, prayer meditation first for ten minutes, reading for ten minutes, journaling for ten minutes, visualization for ten minutes and then working
out for ten minutes, I believe.

I believe it's something like that but any combination of those. Pick something. If you want to follow that just start doing it. I recommend if you don't have a morning ritual that you follow, set something like that up. I'll go into mine in detail maybe in a later episode if you're interested. Basically for me, the first thing I do is drink this massive glass of water or a bottle of water, a little refillable bottle of water or something like that just to re-hydrate myself. Take a little pinch of sea salt to balance out my electrolytes. Then I go into my version of "The Miracle Morning".

If you don't have one, I would encourage you to just do that. I want to challenge you to put a morning ritual in place. Just start to go for doing that tomorrow. Try it tomorrow. Try it for the next three days and just see what happens. I think if you do you're going to find that incredibly beneficial.

Now, if you're listening and you do have a morning ritual, I want to challenge you to change it up. I want to challenge you to make one big change, just a drastic change. Something that's going to get your attention and refuel you energetically. I don't know. It's hard to explain what it actually does, but just making a change, it just re-energizes you. It's a pretty cool feeling. I'm excited about making this change to my morning ritual. Yeah, I think if you've already got one, I want to challenge you to make a drastic change. If you don't have one, I challenge you to start one.

That's my ramblings for today or for this morning actually. Let's see, we probably got about thirty minutes or so before [Kena 00:10:23] wakes up. I think I'm going to work on my hot tub for a little bit and get that cleaned out. I've got a Mastermind call at 8:00 A.M. I'm excited, looking forward to having a productive day and looking forward to our next chat too.

If you like this, if you've gotten value from these, please like, comment great review, share with a friend, all of that good stuff. Any feedback, questions, comments, email them to me, justin@results513.com. We'll see you in the next episode. Bye, bye.

In this episode, you'll learn how to accomplish more in your business and life, simply by setting the right intention. You'll also learn a quick "magic trick" that will keep you from ever forgetting where you parked your car again...

==========

Hey, everybody, what's going on? This is Justin Glover and welcome to episode number five of my podcast, whatever the name shall be. It's still a mystery, but we're going to figure this out.

Two fun facts about this particular episode. Number one fun fact, which isn't that much fun anymore because it's very repetitive, I'm doing this in the same day as I've done all the other podcasts. I literally just walked out of the grocery store where the last episode of this podcast was recorded right before I walked in, so we're talking a 20-minute time frame here and I'm recording the next episode. Since that's sort of old news now, it'll be a fun day whenever it's actually a new day. That'll be my fun fact, but since it's sort of old news I'm going to give you two fun facts.

The second fun fact about this episode is it's the first episode that in some way shape or form was not inspired by listening to Russell Brunson's Marketing In Your Car. That's interesting, I don't know. This has been something that I've been wanting to actually talk about for awhile, but I haven't really come up with a way to articulate it and really determine what I want this particular piece of content to be about. It has something to do with affirmations and visualizations, setting the intention, but I'm not going to go too deep into that because I don't know exactly ... There's lots of lessons in here, but I want to, number one, keep this short, but there's some steps to this, to really get it.

I want to start here and just talk about the power of setting the intention to do something, and there's two real-life examples. I'm going to give you one example, actually two examples, and then I want to give you an experiment because I want you to try this. Whenever I got it, whenever I tried this and I realized this and this clicked for me, it's like this whole new world opened up for me. I want to relay this to you and I'm actually in the parking lot of this grocery store that's just right out from our house, and this is the same parking lot that I was in when I realized this, and I'll share with you what that experience is here in just a second.

One thing that I want to talk about and I told you there was two things, and to be completely honest with you I just forgot what the first thing was, so anyway ... Oh, yeah, the second example is what's been happening today. I've literally recorded five episodes of this new podcast simply by setting the intention today. After I was motivated to start the podcast, I said, okay, I'm going to do it, I'm going to decide, and I set the intention and here I am recording episode number five in a matter of five hours.

You guys have seen this. I'm experiencing it right now, and so it's very, very important. If you look at your goals, look at your dreams, look at the things that you want to accomplish and boil it down and figure out, okay, well, what is it that I want to do and then what's required to do it and then just go and do it, set the intention to do it. For me, personally, I've always known this, it's important to set the intention or whatever, but I never ... well, I take that back, I have done it, but I never consciously did it. I didn't realize what I was actually doing whenever I was setting the intention, so this is sort of a little hack for me, and it's a great way to actually remember stuff.

Let me get to the experiment and tell you a little story. I was in this parking lot, in this grocery store parking lot, and I wanted to, I don't know about you and this may not apply to you if you don't have this same problem, but I have a problem of whenever I park in a grocery store parking lot or a big parking lot of somewhere, and I go in and I come out, I can almost never remember where I parked and I always have to waste this extra energy and spend this extra energy and usually sometimes it takes quite a bit of energy to actually remember where I parked. Sometimes it's been so bad I literally can't remember even if I try to think, well, where was I, where did I park? I can't remember, and so I have to just walk up and down the aisles. That's happened before, and it's kind of scary because I wonder, what the heck was I thinking when I pulled up that caused me to not remember that, not be able to remember where I'm parking.

One day, I get to this store, and I was listening to Tony Robbins, and he was talking about some things that you could do, like how we could really take certain associations that we have and when we start to recognize them, we can create new associations, and he was just going into detail on how that actually works and I thought, you know, that's so fascinating because it's really like a power that we have, it's this special power that we have to create our life. I thought, okay, well, that's really fascinating. How can I apply that to me? How can I experience this? How can I really understand this at a deeper level than just conceptual?

Right as I was thinking that, I was pulling into this grocery store and I had to run, grab a few things before I was heading home and I thought, okay, here's an example, here's an opportunity for me to put this to the test. I said, okay, I know that I have this horrible memory when it comes to parking, but what I'm going to do different this time is I'm going to park somewhere that I've hardly ever, well, I always park in different spots. I'm not the guy that always parks up close or always parks far away. It's just sort of random for me. There really isn't that factor there.

I said, okay, I do know, regardless of where I park, my past will tell me, past experience tells me that I will not be able to remember where I parked. What I did is I decided to set the intention that I was going to remember where I parked when I came out of the grocery store this particular day, and so before I got out of the car, I said, okay, where am I at? I am right here in this spot on the left row, and I looked at the door that I was going to walking out of and I visualized myself walking out and I said, okay, when I walk out, I need to go straight down this aisle and then look to the left that I'm at the end of this row on the left. That's all I did, and then I went about my day. I walked into the grocery store, I wasn't thinking about it inside, I literally just forgot. I wasn't thinking about it, I was thinking about the groceries and the other stuff that was going on.

Here's what's interesting. After 20 or 30 minutes of being in the store, when I walked out, I immediately, immediately knew exactly where I was parked and exactly how I would get there, because I had visualized myself walking out the door and knowing exactly where my parking spot was. The amount of energy that it took me to do that was like two seconds. There was no energy required, I immediately knew, and so I just started comparing, I said, okay, well, before I started doing this, I would waste a lot of energy after I would come out of the grocery store and a lot of times I would take up time that I didn't have, take up resources of energy that I didn't really want to be spending on trying to figure out where the hell my car was, so I compared that to the 20 seconds, maybe, that it took me before I walk into the store. When I parked I stood up or just sort of sat there and took 20 seconds to think, okay, here's where I'm parked. Here's what I'm going to have to do when I come out. That 20 seconds was way easier than compared to what usually happens, which is I come out and I'm thinking, okay, where's my car, where did I park, I had no idea. I know I'm over to the left, I know I'm over to the right, or I really have no idea of where I'm at, which when that happens it's kind of scary.

I literally just took that 20 seconds and immediately that was a little breakthrough for me. I thought, okay, that's cool, because it's like this little magic trick. It's like this experience or this experiment that I can do that is tangible proof that when I set the intention to do something, I'm more likely to do it. When I visualize an outcome, it's more likely to happen. There's a lot to this, like I said, I could go really, really deep on this, but I'm not going to here. I just want you to ... If you can relate with me to the grocery store thing. If you have trouble remembering where you parked your car, what I want you to do is try this. The next time you go to a grocery store, I want you to try this.

Take 20 seconds or 30 seconds before you get out, look at where you're going to be coming out of, and just take note of where you are parked. Simply by doing that, you don't have to be thinking about it the whole time you're in the grocery store but simply by doing that, what you will notice, I'm almost certain, you're going to notice that it's going to be easier as you walk out. You're going to come out, and you're going to notice that it's going to be easier, and hopefully that will give you some validation, and if you go through this experiment and you experience what I'm talking about here, then I want you to realize and I want you to ... when you realize that, oh, that does work, then I want you to understand that you can apply that same principle to anything in life. If you want to do something, you can visualize what you want to do and it's going to make the process of doing it way easier. All right?

That's sort of where I wanted to go with this episode. I thought about that while I was in the store picking up a few things for groceries. It's late, it's after 10:00 AM or 10:00 PM here. I am headed back to the house and I'm going to call it a night. Who knows? Maybe there'll be another episode. Maybe I have another episode. That's five for today, so I'm halfway there. I'm going to shoot for ten by tomorrow and then we'll get this podcast rolling. I'm excited about it. Again, please if you are getting value from this, please comment. Let's have a discussion. Comment, leave me your thoughts, especially if you go and try this exercise. I want to hear how it helps you. That's cool. Comment, share, like, subscribe, all that good stuff, and we'll see you, talk to you, in the next episode. All right. Bye bye.

In this episode, you'll hear what I believe is the absolute best strategy in the world for learning (mastering) a new topic... Plus, you'll hear about the worlds fastest reader.

Hey everybody, this is Justin Glover and welcome to episode number four of my podcast, that does not have a name.

I'll give you a fun fact first, about episode four. Along with the same trend, and surely this will be the last one that I record for tonight, I don't know. Maybe if I get inspired I'll record another one tonight, but I'm guessing this will probably be the last one. This is still the same day that I recorded episodes one, two, three, and now episode four. That's kind of cool.

It's just, I don't know, whenever you get inspired it's easier take action. Once you have momentum, what's your experiencing, what's your witnessing right now is me having momentum behind me, and just going with the flow, just really sort of going with what comes to me.

I'm actually at the grocery store, I'm driving in the parking lot, so forgive if I'm a little slow on this. I just got done with my walk and hung with the kid and the wife for a little bit, and I realized that we needed some stuff from the grocery store, so I'm going to get some water and bananas and some other stuff that we need.

While, I thought you know, I would like to get about, I think what I figured out is seven, eight, nine, so ten episodes of this over the next couple of days, so maybe if I can get four, maybe one more episode tonight and then four or five tomorrow, or the next day, just sort of depending on how the next few days go. I'll have ten episodes in the bank and that way I can actually launch the show, and actually upload three episodes at a time.

So the first three episodes will be uploaded on day one, and then every day after that, I'll upload one more episode to i-Tunes for like seven days. That will be those seven days plus the three originally, and the will give me ten solid episodes in the bank that will be done, ready to go. Then after that I'll figure out the frequency, if I want to this three days a week, or every day, we'll just play it by ear and see how it goes. I'm not putting a framework around this, a structure around this intentionally, because I just want to see what happens, and see where it goes, see what the response.

I'm not going to a big launch for this. What I may do, is I may, what I'm thinking right now, is I'm going to send obviously maybe one or two e-mails out, of the really good pieces of content once we get the episodes up, maybe send two or three e-mails out to one of my existing lists that I have, and then let it go from there and see what happens. Hopefully you guys if you're enjoying this, please comment, rate, subscribe, review, and share. Share this with someone else if you enjoy it, if you get some great tips from it, I would appreciate it. I really want to hear from you and see what you would like me to talk about. Topics, at this point you sort of have control over that.

Anyway, that's sort of the housekeeping that I wanted to do. I'm actually sitting in the parking lot waiting to go in, and I had a topic in mind when I started this podcast, but I sort of forgot what it was. I remember now, and I just forgot like that. You're going to be completely shocked when I say this, but I was listening to an episode of Marketing in Your Car. He was talking about telesummits, something that he used to do and people do a lot for, and when I say he I mean Russell Brunson. He has the Marketing in Your Car podcast which you've heard me talk about every single other episode prior to this.

Apparently I have this Marketing in Your Car crush sort of going on right now, but anyway, he was talking about telesummits, and he mentioned that he heard Howard Berg I think is the guy's name. He's the world's fastest reader, and I've been on a webinar with him before. Matt Bacak had him on, and I believe it was the same guy. He's the world's fastest reader and he said something which I didn't hear him say on this webinar, but I heard Russell talk about it, and that was when you want to learn a topic, when most people want to learn a topic, they go and read one book on the subject. Then whatever they get from that book, that becomes their truth and so that's their belief about that topic.

What Howard does, he said I would much rather go read ten books on the subject and sort of formulate my own truth. He didn't quite put it that way, but that's what I got out of it. Formulate my own truth, because that's the same way that I approach it. I listen to multiple people on a certain topic, and I formulate my own beliefs, my own truths. I sort of put my own spin on things, on how I want to do them, because that's one of the beauties of entrepreneurship. We have the ability to do that and create the life that we want.

It was just very interesting to hear that, and his philosophy on it. One thing that we're sort of doing right now, we were down at San Diego literally last week as I record this for an event called Internet Traffic Live which was my buddy, Vince Reed. This is the second time he has done that. He did it last year, and I think it's a yearly thing that he's going to start doing. It was a really great event. Actually that's where I saw Russell talk. Again, it's the first time I've seen him in person in over a year, probably.

Where was I going with that? From that event, Brenda had this idea. She heard one of the speakers talk, and she had this idea. Brenda's my business partner in Results 513 which is a company we're building together. So we went to this event, and she was sitting in on a session, and I was actually back in the room getting some work done. She was sitting in on a session, and she basically from that one session formulated this idea of doing this little mutual giveaway thing where we have a lot of different speakers that we connect with.

She basically reached out to all of the speakers that were there at the event, and said hey, what if Justin and I interview you, we ask some questions and we take all of that, and we package it up and we just give it away and but some great value into the marketplace. Then you can offer one of your products as a product bundle, and in order to make money out of this promotion, out of this thing, when people sign up to get the interviews, we'll do them live and give people the option to watch the recordings for a paid product. We can bundle in one thing that you want to contribute for this thing and basically we can all sort of grow our businesses, we can all get some really good information.

So we're doing this thing which is very similar to what Russell is actually talking about on doing telesummits. He told a story and it's so cool, because it's the same way that I used to approach things. I sort of forgot about it, I forgot about the power of how amazing this is. If you want to learn a topic, that is in my opinion the absolute best way to do it. He was telling this story of him wanting to learn a topic, and I don't even remember the topic now, but here's what he did, and it's brilliant. I recommend you do this. I've done this personally and it's amazing, it works.

He went out and basically approached people that were experts on the topic that he wanted to learn. Like I said, I don't remember what that topic was, but as he was talking, he basically said hey, I want to do something similar to what I just explained to you, that Brenda and I are doing. I'd like to interview you or do this teleseminar or whatever, and have you come on and talk about this topic. So he got like ten of the top people on this topic, the experts. He approached them with it, and got a lot of them to agree to come on and do this telesummit and provide all of this value.

Two things happened with this. Number one, he gets the master's education on this, because he's learning directly from people that are top in the industry, the experts in that specific topic, and he can ask questions, any questions that he has, he can directly learn from some of the best of the best. That's basically a free education and at the same time, it's putting immense value out into the marketplace.

It got me thinking of ways to learn, and if you want to learn things and to master certain topics, that's a really great idea, something to do. Go and approach experts and figure out how you can set something up like that. Put yourself in an environment where you can learn from the best of the best, asking questions and also put a lot of great value out into the world. They're not perfectly linked or related, but they're very similar things. What he was talking is a little bit different than what we're actually doing, but that concept was very unique.

I liked that, and I thought you know, that'll be a great topic for something I'd like to talk about on this podcast. That's a good little nugget there, so take that for what it's worth. Hopefully you enjoyed it, and again if you're enjoying this podcast, I would really, really appreciate it if you would rate, review, subscribe, comment, and share it with a friend. Share it with one person today, if you don't mind. Find one person and go share it with one person. Obviously if you don't, that's okay as well, but if you're getting value from it, I would definitely appreciate it.

Help me get the word out, because I'm not going to do a big promotion for this. I'm going to e-mail the existing list that we have one or two times and that's probably it. I think I'm just going to do that, and then just see what happens, see how it grows from that there and see what the process looks like. That's what I'm up to. I'm gonna go ahead and jump into the grocery store and grab the things that we need and who knows, maybe there'll be another episode tonight, maybe episode five will be recorded tonight, but maybe it will be tomorrow. Anyway, we'll talk soon and I'll see you in the next episode. Bye.

Sometimes the best thing for us as entrepreneurs to do is just do the work... stop putting stuff off and DO. THE. WORK. So in this episode you'll hear me talk about some work that I've finally decided to DO.

==============

Hey everyone, this is Justin Glover and welcome to episode three of whatever we're calling this podcast. All right, again, fun fact about episode number three is that is about twenty ... Well, no, no, it's more like three hours, I was about to say twenty minutes, and that's one thing that you'll learn about is my perception of time is horrible sometimes. It's amazing other times, but terrible at times like this.

As you may hear in the background ... Not sure if you can actually hear that, I paused the recording because I'm actually out walking with my daughter and she is interested in talking to me and having a conversation, so it's going to make this podcast very interesting to record. Anyway this is like three hours after the last episode that I recorded, so this is all the same day.

I got this motivation to start this podcast and from that I pulled over, record episode one, and then I went on with my day. I went out to pick up my wife and daughter, came back to the house. Actually, on the way out to pick them up I recorded episode two, because I was inspired by something that I heard on Russell's "Marketing in Your Car" podcast. Then I came home, took a shower ... Actually, I went out back and I've been ... We're actually starting podcast for Results 513, it's called "Results Radio."

We're going to be launching that in the next little bit. We interviewed Ray Higdon as one of our guests a couple of weeks ago and one of the questions we actually asked on this podcast was what does your day look like. He went into explaining his day, talking about some of the things that he does in the morning and one of them was ... Okay, so I had to turn around for the second time, I'm headed back to the house. I'm going to drop baby off because she is not happy, she's wanting to talk with mom and I.

I'm going to pause this and I will come back out and finish this conversation as soon as I drop her back off at the house. Okay, so I had to pause and actually turn around and take [Kenna 00:02:44] back in. We try to go walk around the block in our neighborhood like daily if we can and sometimes she's really great, sometimes she just sort of sits and chills and looks around and just take in everything. Then other times she prefers to talk and have a conversation.

Usually when she's wanting to talk she's wanting direct and immediate feedback from mama, so mom's actually not with us tonight, her feet were hurting so it was just me and [Kenna 00:03:18] and it's kind of difficult to record the podcast with her wanting her to have a conversation. I have to postpone the conversation with her until I get back.

I'm going to finish up this thought on this podcast, because I was in the shower and actually remembered ... Because we're launching this podcast for Results Radio, I've been going through some trainings and stuff from John Lee Dumas, he's the host of "Entrepreneur on Fire," which is a seven day a week podcast, which sort of inspired the podcast for Results 513. Anyway, we're doing this podcast and last week we're interviewing Ray and he starts telling me about this day, his typical day.

Some of the stuff that he said involves like he would go out back and he would go and get in the hot tub for a little bit and just sort of be grateful for a little bit. Just like some of the things, as he was telling it, and I would recommend that you go and listen to that particular podcast episode, once it's out, I don't know when that would be. It's funny, this one will probably be out way before that one will.

Anyway, just keep ... You can plug in, go to results513.com; sort of keep up to date there. We'll let you know when the podcast does go live. Anyway, one of the things that he said really inspired me and I thought, you know what, I want to do that. I want to start utilizing the hot tub we have in our house. We got one in our backyard the deck is built around. We've got this big deck that's really built up around this hot tub. The thing is we haven't used the hot tub in like a year.

It was really great when we moved in the house; we used it all the time. It was nice, but we just haven't used it in such a long time. The cover is actually getting old, we probably should have replaced the cover like a year ago, but we didn't and so it like holds water and sort of gets like mildewy. We need to get a new cover for it, but I wanted to clean it out and start using it again.

When we got home today from picking my wife up, we ate dinner and just sort of hung out, and I went out ... We've been planting some new grass. Actually Sara's dad came and planted some new grass in different spots that we're trying to grow in the yard. I wanted that and then I thought, you know what, I've been wanting to use the hot tub and really redefine my morning ritual that I go through because I used to have the hot tub as part of that morning ritual, but I don't anymore.

I've been missing that. I've been wanting to do it for a while and then I heard Ray talk about it on his thing, so that pushed me towards it a little bit closer. Then I was listening to one of the "Marketing in Your Car" episodes from Russell, it was earlier today, I guess. I don't know, I've listened to like thirty or thirty-five episodes in the last twenty-four hours probably. Anyway, I was listening to it and he was talking about being happy and make a list of things that you want to be happy and then just go do them.

It was just sort of like giving me permission to go and do it and I thought with all of that stacked up, I've been wanting to do the hot tub and then Ray was talking about it on an interview. Then I heard Russell say just go and do it, I thought, well, hmm, I don't have anything else going on tonight, so why don't I start cleaning it out. I went ahead and just made the decision that that's what I'm going to do and so I've started cleaning this hot tub.

It's dark now, I didn't get finished. However, afterwards I went in, I was taking a shower and I had this really, really great idea. This evening, this day, has been really productive for me, but I haven't really worked that much. Like I haven't really done a whole lot. I mean I've recorded the first three episodes of this new podcast.

Back to what I was saying earlier, I'm not sure if I actually finished this thought or not, but we're launching this podcast for Results 513 and I've been going through trainings from John Lee Dumas and I think I remember him saying that it's best to launch with like three episodes or something like that. I am trying to keep some of the things that I've learned and go ahead and implement them from this podcast, from the start.

What I really want you to listen to and pay attention to here is the fact that ... I mean this is day one, like I made the decision literally probably less than five hours ago to do this podcast and here I am three episodes recording and I'm super fired up about it. I want to ... I'm probably going to stay up late after they go to bed, once I get done with this walk I'm going to go in and just sort of hang out with them. [Kenna 00:08:34] will be getting ready to go to bed soon.

I'm very motivated and driven to want to learn how to get these episodes up on iTunes. I don't know what that process is going to look like, but I just want you to really look at sort of how I'm going about this. As I listen to Russell's I can see that he went through a very similar thing. He had this podcast intro, I don't have one yet, but at the beginning he was just sort of talking and didn't really have anyway ... He wasn't giving a call to action or go to comments stuff and then he started doing that.

Then he setup a URL that redirects immediately to it and so he didn't wait until all of that was setup before he did it; he just did it. He just went out and did it and that's what I'm doing as well and I think there's a lot to be learned from that, is just go and do it. It doesn't have to be perfect when you start; you just got to get it going. You don't have to get it perfect. You don't have to get it right. You just have to get it going.

That's what I'm doing and I lived my life like this for a long time, whenever I first started my business and that was one of the things that I got in one of my initial coaching sessions. My original mentors, he had this phrase, "You don't have to get it right, you just have to get it going." I really followed closely to that and then over the years it's been interesting to watch, but that sort of faded away and I got wrapped up in perfectionism and I set this sort of standard for myself and that prevented me from actually putting value out into the world for a long period of time.

It feels really good to get back to that. I've been doing it a lot more recently with Results 513 and with our company there, because I actually shutdown my company that I had that was making good money last year. I shut it down and all I'm focusing on is building the company, Results 513, which I'm probably sure I'm definitely going to be talking in about in the future, I'm sure, at some point here on the show, because I'm just going to be documenting my experience and lessons in business and that's really the only business, not really, it is the only business that I'm building right now.

That's just interesting. I want you to look at sort of the progression of this podcast. I mean we're on episode three, you're probably finding, hopefully you're finding some value in listening to this and enjoying it; just enjoying the format. I know it feels really good for me to get it out and just to talk some of this stuff out. I have no idea if I'm doing it right or I'm sure there's lots of stuff that I could do a lot better, but I'm doing it. I'm doing the work and that feels really good.

I want you to just ask yourself ... Look at your business and say, "Okay, what's something I've been wanting to do and then just go do it, like go ahead and start the work. Don't worry about getting it right. I'm literally recording these things on my iPhone as I'm driving, as I'm walking, as I'm doing these things; just living my life. I just have the audio app open and I'm recording it on there.

I have no idea how I'm going to even get that to the computer, how I'm going to get it to the podcast and iTunes and where you're going to be listening to it, like I don't know any of that stuff, but it doesn't matter right now. That's sort of my message for today or tonight, actually, as I record this. I feel good about today. I've gotten three episodes of this podcast that I didn't even know I was going to start. Now all of a sudden I have three episodes that are done, so that's pretty cool.

I'm definitely excited to see where this podcast goes. If you do like it, like. I don't know if you like podcasts or not. I think there's a like button, I don't know, maybe that's just Facebook, but comment, rate, subscribe. I think that's it, rate, review, that's the other one. Yeah, rate, review, subscribe, whatever. Do all that stuff if you're enjoying it. Leave me some comments, that's great. We'll look forward to seeing you in the next episode, which, who knows when that will actually be recorded, but I'll keep you filled in. Talk soon, bye.

In this episode you'll hear me talk about my experiences with money growing up as a child. You'll also hear why its a good idea to think back to your childhood entrepreneur moments.

=====
Hey everybody, what's going on? This is Justin Glover and welcome to Episode 2 of whatever we're going to call this podcast. I'm really going to have to come up with a name pretty soon actually.

Fun fact about this episode, I don't know when you are listening to it but in terms of recording, I'm literally recording it about 10 minutes after I recorded Episode 1. I told you, in Episode 1, that I had pulled over in a parking spot and actually recorded that episode. I'm driving out to my wife's parents' house to pick her and Kenna up, my little girl, and I was actually ... Whenever I left, I pulled out of the parking lot and headed this way and I had to stop by the auto supply store and get a taillight bulb. I've been to three and they didn't have them. It was some certain kind, I guess, in this rig that we have.

Anyway, I'm driving out here and I was listening, after I replaced the taillight, I pulled out my iPhone and I opened up to iTunes and I would be on those little wireless Bluetooth things, so turned the podcast on through my speakers and ... Like I said, right now I'm listening to Russell Brunson's podcast. I was listening to half an episode and that's what I want to talk about for this particular topic, because it reminded me of something I think was pretty cool.

Also, I wanted to ... I'm not sure, I was thinking, okay well, I know I said, in Episode 1 that Jason was sort of the push-off of the edge, to actually start this podcast that I needed so ... I'm not sure if I actually expressed how grateful I am for that post. If I did, then Jason, there's two times for you, but definitely, thank you very much. I appreciate that and same to you, Russell, as well.

Anyway, the second thing that happens as I'm listening to this episode of marketing in your car and he's talking about his son - it's one of the older episodes - but his son filling out this application and him waking up to a call, saying, "I'm just returning calls back for an application" and then he told the back-story of it. Basically, his son's trying to earn money to earn this ... to get this new type of gaming console or something like that, and he's going out and doing all these different things to try to earn money.

Russell said something, he was like, and it reminded me of how I was when I was a child. When he said that, I thought, huh. You know what? It kind of reminds me of the way I was, too; but until that moment, I had never really stopped and thought about what type of person I was as a child. It's cool because whenever I do think back, one thing that's ... I notice things like that. I notice my efforts of starting businesses and my entrepreneurial spirit's showing, when I was younger. That was pretty interesting; that's very cool.

One particular story it reminded me of is, I remember when I first really made the decision, like I wanted to make some money and the best option, in my mind at that point, was to save it. Every penny counted. I got this ... I don't know, it was like a Mountain Dew bottle or I don't know what type of Coke bottle it was. It was yellow; it wasn't clear. It was like a greenish clear, so it was either like a Sprite bottle or Mountain Dew or something. I found it. Me and my dad were actually at a friend's house, when I had this revelation of an idea that if I just picked up and saved every single penny that I made, then I would one day be rich.

It was interesting because I just started that journey. My focus was so ... That's all I could focus on. my mind was open, my eyes were open to seeing money, and so I started collecting. I cut this little-bitty slit in the side of the bottle and I tightened the top on it, as super and as tight as I could. I asked my dad to tighten it and I think I asked my dad's friend to tighten it, as well, because I wanted to make sure that it wasn't coming off at all. I cut this little-bitty slit, big enough that quarters would fit in there and I went out. While we were visiting my dad's friend, I went out and I was looking for money, looking for change, and I was picking it up.

In this parking lot, it was unique because it was cool, because in this parking lot that we literally ... We went over to his friend's house pretty much all the time, so I'm always walking back in front of this parking lot. I said parking lot, it's like his driveway. We pull up and it's like this little gravel driveway and you walk into the house. We've been over there, I've walked up and down that driveway and I've never stumbled upon or found money.

That's cool because in that ... Whenever I created this bottle and I had them tightening, we were over there one day and this is when I had this epiphany that I want to find ... I'm going to fill this up with money and this jar's going to turn into multiple jars and all of this money is going to ... The thing is, I did that for a long time and I saved quite a bit of money. I don't remember what I spent it on or what I ended up doing with it. I guess I saved it until my mentality changed or my belief changed that there was additional ways instead of just saving. I don't remember.

This driveway that I'm up and down every other day, it seemed like, and I've never seen any money, all of a sudden, once I make the decision to do it, then I see money everywhere. Before [inaudible 00:06:36], maybe an hour or two, as we're there visiting that day, I found like half or maybe a third of the bottle. I filled a third of that Coke bottle up with change in this driveway, just from looking for it. Just spilled change and it's crazy that ... I started this story because I wanted to ... It reminded me of how entrepreneurial I was and that episode made me smile. It reminded me of that story and that made me smile. I wanted to share it with you.

I also want to encourage you to think back. What stories can you think back and remember from your childhood, from the past, where you showed signs of being an entrepreneur? If you can go and comment on ... It's like I said, fun facts, still the same day, so I still don't know how to upload or how Apple or iTunes works; however, if you go and comment, I'm guessing you can probably comment there, then I would like to hear the answer to that question. Maybe tell some of those stories. That would be pretty cool.

Anyway, that's the reason I started. I sort of got off on a rabbit trail, that I will have to postpone for another episode, because I'm pulling into the driveway at my inlaws' house. Thank you guys for listening to another episode and we will talk soon.

In this episode you'll hear about the 2 things (people) that inspired this podcast. I also talk about what to expect ...

==========

Hey everybody, what's going on. This is Justin Glover and welcome to the first episode of this podcast. I actually don't even have a name for this podcast but I'll have to come up with one I guess. (Music) Here's what I want to say about what to expect on this podcast. I know I need to have some sort of formal introduction just so you can understand what to expect from me on this podcast. In terms of frequency, I don't know. It will likely be multiple times per week. I would think at a minimum weekly. That I will commit to. In terms of what the topic or subject will be about, that I can not tell you. I don't know. It will be whatever's on my mind. Likely be related to business and entrepreneurship but yeah just whatever's going on in my head. It will just sort of come out here in this podcast.

A couple of things, I think that's pretty much it about logistics of the show. I've been wanting to do this for a long time. I've been wanting to have one of these podcasts and oh length. That was the other thing. I just remembered so sorry. Backtrack with me here. The length of the show I don't know. I'll try to keep them short. You guys tell me what you want. I mean you can leave me, leave comments. You can let me know. Eventually once I have a name there will be a site and a place to go back to and leave comments and all that stuff. Don't have that right now so leave them in the comments. You can shoot me an email justin@results513.com. Let me know what you would like in terms of topic, length, all of that kind of stuff.

For now I'm just going to start rolling with this. I've been wanting to do this for a long time. I'm actually sitting in my car at the moment. I'm right here. I have my dog by my side. We are going to pick up mom and daughter so heading out that way. I thought, you know what, I've been wanting to do this for a long time and there's been this sort of sequence of events that's played out over the last few days that lead me to say all right screw it. Before I go and pick them up I'm going to park here sitting on the side of the road and I'm going to do episode 1 right now. That's where I am. That's what I'm doing. When I say sequence of events I want to sort of give you this ... That's what I want to talk about for the topic of this particular episode because it's really the reason that you're hearing this. It's the reason that I started this podcast. It's the inspiration that I've received over the last few days. That I really want to ... It's the reason I'm doing this.

There's mainly 2 things that inspired me to do this, or caused this action and one of them ... 2 different people actually. The first person is Russel Brundson. I've been listening to his marketing in your car podcast. Which I love. I love the concept. I've been listening to it. I don't know, binge listening to it almost for the last 2 or 3 days. It's just been really inspiring. I listen to a few of the latest episodes. I don't know, late last week and I really liked it. I liked the structure of it. I liked the format of it. I've sort of been wanting an outlet like that for myself where that I could just talk about some of this stuff. I've been scared to do it. I've made it out to be way more involved than it actually probably is. I just made it out to be this big deal and this big project that I didn't want to take on. I've been putting it off and putting it off.

I've been listening to ... I like the structure so I went back and started listening from episode 1. It's really cool how everything is just, I don't know, it's like just listening to the evolution of that show and understanding that this is a really good outlet. Because if you're not familiar with the show you should definitely go and look it up and subscribe the ... All the episodes are really short. That's more than likely what I'm probably going to keep this particular podcast about. He's not ... He doesn't really sell anything that I've heard yet in the podcast. It's a great ... It's just like, I don't know. I love the concept of it's in his in between moments. Like when he's driving to the office or to the gym or wherever and thoughts come up in his mind, he shares them. That's when he records the episodes.

I like that for 2 reasons. Number 1 it's really easy to do in terms of efficiency and getting it done. That's something that anybody can do. When I look at that for myself I'm thinking okay well I can do that. That's not that hard. That sort of eliminated that barrier of oh it's this big massive thing that I've got to do when actually it's not. In addition to that it's really cool for the listener because that's really the first time. None of his episodes are really planned out. It's the ... As the thought happens you see it. You hear it first right there. It's literally the cutting edge of what's going on in his head. I love that because if you listen to it and you take the value that's there, the massive value and you just apply it. You're getting it before anybody. These ideas and stuff ... As I look back, I start at the beginning I've noticed some of the things that he was talking about in those early episodes you now see in his business. As things that have been implemented that started as an idea in one of those earlier episodes. It's really cool to see that.

That's been the big barrier crusher that I've experienced over the last few days. Just hearing, listening to that podcast. Russel thank you very much for doing that. I want to absolutely give credit where it's due. That's been one of the major inspirations of me starting this. The second thing is a post that I actually just read that was posted in our Facebook group. Let's see if I can make this work. I'm going to actually read you this post. It's by one of our admission members. I just want to ... It's the one that sort of pushed me off the edge because as I'm listening to this I'm really starting to think okay I can do a podcast like this. I want to start something up. As I sat in ... I don't know. I just noticed the day goes by. Then 2 days go by. Then 3 days go by. There's obviously still some resistance to do it.

Then I read this post so this is what really pushed me off the edge. I literally read this about 5 parking spots from where I'm at right now. Because I read it and I was sort of putting the car in reverse and backing out and getting ready to take off and go out and pick up my wife. Like it sank in. I was like okay no more. I have to do it now. I pulled in like 5 or 6 parking spots up and that's where I'm sitting. I'm going to try to actually pull this up and make sure I can record and read this. Okay, perfect. Yeah I'm just going to read you what I just read which is again like I said the main reason for starting this. It's a little lengthy but just bare with me. I'll try to read through it.

This is from Jason [Lagard 00:08:33]. Who is ... He posted this in our results 513 private discussion group. Which is the group that all of our paying members of results 513. That's the group that they all, that's their little community. He's also one of our Ignition coaching programs [inaudible 00:08:50]. We have this program called Ignition that we've got 3 different options. You can pay yearly, quarterly, or monthly. Anyway, he's got ... He's one of those members and part of the benefits is we do these small group coaching calls. I just want to read to you what he just posted. This was literally 2 hours ago as I read this.

It says, "Hello everyone and hope you're Sunday is treating you well. I wanted to share a significant break through that I has this week. It was a result of reading something Justin Glover pointed out on the ignition mastermind monthly group coaching call. As he and Brenda were working with Eddie and myself on our current business situation and seeking answers for what's next, Justin brought up a [block 00:09:32] he had noticed in me. I already knew it was there but when you hear it coming from someone else's perspective it really tends to dig deeper. The power of coaching, huh? Anyway he spoke on how it seems I have fear of asking for the sale. That I have the value, the content, the passion, the knowledge, the ability to create but fear of asking for the transaction from a prospect. As I said I already knew this had been a challenge for me when it comes to charging money for my talents and abilities but for some reason hearing him say it out loud, it cut deep.

After the call I went for a walk to soak in all of the insights Justin and Brenda and Eddie had shared. I dove deep within to really take a hard ass look as to the issue of not asking for the sales. All of a sudden it hit me right in my heart. It was another fear that was even more crippling and cancerous. It was my fear of receiving. I realize that if I was receiving money for my products, coaching, and speaking that meant I must deliver on that exchange. That promise between buyer and seller. I didn't even realize how scared shitless I had been of delivering on that promise. For if I had charged someone tens, hundreds, even thousands of dollars for my services that customer deserves all that I can give to them. The question in the back of my head was will it be enough? Am I enough? As I've been letting this realization strike home I've come to the conclusion that I am enough once I make the decision that it is so. That's it.

My focus is to simply move forward and make the offer of my value to others. When I receive that sale I will do my absolute best to serve them at their highest level. That is the only thing that I can control. My effort, my caring, my genuine expression, my heart, my skills, my soul, my everything. It certainly is amazing what can happen on a single coaching call. As always, Justin and Brenda I'm humbled by the leadership that you provide all of us here at Ignition and results 513. Here's to progress, not perfection. Allowing my receipt to conquer defeat. Graditude is the attitude that gives our dreams altitude."

First of all that like ... People ask for like, when you're in these tough situations and things aren't going well, how do you get through? It's things like that. That's the reason that I do what I do. There's a lot of stuff that you can take from that. The amount of wisdom ... It's a great testimony for myself and Brenda and Ignition. I really appreciate that but even more so him posting that in the 513 community, the amount of wisdom that's in here is amazing. People will get so much. Something that he said could literally change the course of someone's business. A lot of what he said, it's challenges that I've been through. I know exactly this path that he's going down and I've been there myself. This fear of receiving is real. That's what, that's something that I had. It was ... I connected with a lot of what he said. That was an issue that I always had. Am I going to be enough? What he says here is, it was true for me. It's true for Jason. It's true for you. It's true for, I mean, everybody. That is when you come to the conclusion that you are enough. When you make that decision then that's when you are enough.

I had to get sort of that permission by simply just calling Jason out and pointing that out. It's almost like I gave Jason that permission and I want to give you that same permission too. As a listener if that is something that you've been struggling on or are putting off or just a little bit nervous and haven't pulled the trigger because of one reason or another. I just want to give you permission to do that. We're going to call that the lesson for episode 1. Let that sink in. Hopefully you have found that story beneficial and I will catch you guys in the next episode. Like I said I don't know when that will be. I'm sure the next random thought that pops up I will talk about. We're going to see how this plays out on a frequency schedule. I know it will be regular, at least once a week. I will make that promise to you.

Now the fun thing is I get to go and learn how to put this up on iTunes and all that stuff. I've been trying to launch this podcast for results 513 called results ready. I've been in the process of launching that and getting ready for I don't know, months now. It's like this one I'm going to literally get live in like a day. It's kind of funny. I have no idea what's involved as far as getting this recording from my phone to podcast world, apple iTunes I guess. I don't even know where it goes. I get to figure all that stuff out in the next few days. That's going to be a lot of fun. Anyway guys thank you very much for listening. I'm looking forward to see where this show takes us. We'll talk. See you in the next episode. Bye-bye (music.)
