The Checkdown is a weekly sports podcast hosted by Tony Krikorian and Kyle Risko, with revolving special guests. The show has a Pac-12 focus, but stories from the NFL, NBA, MLB, and other major sports are covered and discussed as well. Join us for some entertaining sports talk, with a little extra fun and a lot of witty nonsense.
Tiger King: Tony and Kyle bring on the Tiger King expert, Colby Frier. The three do a deep dive into the series that is sweeping the nation. The guys discuss the potential murders, the best pizza in Oklahoma, and polygamy. Tony is frequently overwhelmed because there is too many story lines and details and he needs Kyle and Colby to keep him on track. Tony and Colby then discuss a segment they spent too much time on: Which Tiger King Character Are You?-Pac-12 Football Edition. Kyle likes and approves of most, but really hates a couple.
Kyle and Tony discuss the Pac-12 conference postponing workout through May 31st and what that means for Fall sports and the possible cancellation of the 2020 football season. They then dive into the postponing of the Olympics and what that means for future Olympics. They then dive into some fun quarantine discussions like Tiger King, what food they hoard, and the average hour work week for countries around the world.
Tony and Kyle are back on the mics as they are quarantined and working from home. The guys first discuss NFL free agency and the massive moves that have happened so far. Tony loses his mind about the Chargers not locking up Tom Brady and recommends a new city for them to move to-Bakersfield. The guys then discuss golf getting canceled and The Masters being moved to October. Thunder Dan then joins the show and the guys try to have some fun amidst these trying times. Conversation turns to what shows they are forced to watch as they are trapped with their significant others, what their day-to-day lives look like, and how this must be a terrible time for couples that were thinking about breaking up.
Pac-12 Football: Kyle and Tony recap the National Championship game between LSU and Clemson. The guys discuss Joe Burrow's dominance, the future of both programs, and how USC missed out on Coach O. They then make their bold, way-to-early predictions for the Pac-12.
Pac-12 Football: Kyle and Tony recap the Pac-12 bowls, including Oregon's big win in the Rose Bowl. They then take a big picture look at how all the conferences did and rank them accordingly. Kyle and Tony then dive into the College Football Playoff and make their predictions for the championship game.

Pac-12 Football: Kyle and Tony discuss the unexpected news of Chris Peterson resigning and what it means for him, the university and the conference. They guys then talk about the CFP Rankings and give their final Pac-12 Power Rankings for the Year. Finally, Kyle and Tony preview and predict the Pac-12 Championship game between Utah and Oregon.
Pac-12 Football: Kyle and Tony break down the newest College Football Playoff Rankings and give their projections of who they think will make the Final Four. They then recap the week 12 games and update their Power Rankings. The guys show some serious love to the Oregon State Beavers. Kyle gives his reasons why he hates Justin Herbert and Tony now hates Kyle. Finally, the guys predict their Big Games of the Week, including: UCLA at USC, Oregon at ASU, Oregon State at Washington State, and Utah at Arizona.

The guys give their Power Ranking, Big Boy Pants, and Lil' Dumper Awards as well as discuss who will be Bowl eligible at the end of the year. Kyle and Tony dive into the CFP Rankings and what it means for the conference. Finally, the guys give their predictions for the Big Games of the Week, including: UCLA at Utah, Arizona at Oregon, and USC at Cal.
