A brand new musical adventure about a mysterious boy who gets lost in a 19th century freak show.

A boy who is different is born into the hard-laboring mining community of Scofield, Utah. Deemed obsolete by his siblings after the tragic death of his father in a mine explosion, he takes a train north and finds employment with the Shadow Circus, a mysterious spectacle full of magic, intrigue, and heart-pounding, performances. Can Billy finally find his place in the world of the circus, or will a tragic accident end the Shadow Circus - and Billy’s new, beloved world - forever?

Piper Theatre Productions’ summer enrichment program, Piper Inside, presents Billy Ragamatag and the Shadow Circus, an original musical written by John P. McEneny with original music and lyrics by Rob Parker. Directed by Ryan Michele Woods, with musical direction by Rob Parker and Dionne McClain Freeney, sound engineering and editing by Soren Bailey, and illustration by Marianna Gavris. Billy Ragamtag and the Shadow Circus was rehearsed and produced in in July and August 2020.

Blaze Beckett, the most famous swashbuckling heroine on Earth, is the world's last and best hope when an evil villainess from a distant world threatens to blow up our planet! Along with her her crew – feisty sidekick Sunny Winsome, the handsome but clueless Rusty Williams, and the brilliant Dr. Elizabeth Novis – Blaze must travel through space to the planet Malum and find a way to defeat the evil Sovereign Villis and her spoiled, vain brother. Along the way, our heroes encounter terrifying monsters, sinister plots, and mysterious alien creatures, some friend and some foe. Will Blaze be able to thwart Villis's nefarious plans and save the Earth?
