On this episode we speak with Jeremy McClure, who lost his sight at 14 years old and is a FOUR time Paralympian. He recently became the first person ever to swim from the Abrolhos Islands to Geraldton (62kms) and has crossed the Rottnest Channel 11 times already!!
This week we are joined by the spectacular Ahmed M Kelly, an Iraqi-born Australian Paralympic swimmer. Ahmed shares with us his memories of growing up in Baghdad's Mother Teresa Orphanage, before being adopted and moving to Australia and falling in love with the game of AFL. His passion for sport and competition never wained and his transition from football to swimming was an incredibly successful one, seeing him compete at 3 Paralympics!
This episode of The JaePod is another special conversation with the formidable Kevin Humphreys. Kevin shares some truly fascinating tales from his time as a Black Hawk and Chinook helicopter pilot for the Australian Army and how he came to accept a diagnosis of PTSD, depression and anxiety. It is an incredibly uplifting conversation and empowers us all to have the courageous conversations that can change our lives!
In this week's episode, we speak to Ashlee Morton from Accessible Accommodation who tells us about the car accident she was involved in at 2 years old that left her with a spinal cord injury (T6 Paraplegic). She shares her story, the incredible high octane activities she regularly takes part in, her life as a single mum, and the incredible service Accessible Accommodation is providing.

We are thrilled to bring you a brand new season of The JaePod, kicking things off with the incredible director Jacqueline Pelczar. Jacqueline has worked as a mentor for creatives with various living disabilities and severe mental illness and a support worker to those living with mental illness. She speaks to us about her lived experience with mental health, as well her film work, including the very successful short film SPARKLES.

But it wasn't and one fateful day not long after the birth of her second child she decided to make a change.

Josh Barry is a champion lawn bowler who travels anywhere up to 5 hours just to get to training. He has won many awards including the Bowls Australia prestigious Disability Bowler of the year in 2016 and 2019 and is currently the Victorian Bowler of the Year.
He has represented his country in many sports but bowling on the lawn is his passion.
