This is so we, as responsible Gen-Zs, can break through stories of politics and social relations to help people figure out what matters and how they can help.
From the past year until today, maybe you’ve seen photos on your newsfeed of a sea of people rallying in the streets. Or police throwing tear gas at protesters. Maybe you’ve seen some graphic and brutal videos of the police arresting these protesters. Those are just some of the things that Hong Kong is known for today. But why is this happening? Join me and be informed about why these rallies are being held and how Hong Kong may not be autonomous anymore.
The first thing in stopping racism is to understand what it is because it takes a lot of forms. It's more than just being mean to others or believing na mas importante ka or mas magaling ka compared to others. So kung hindi ka sure kung ano yung racism or what it looks like, as long as you’re open to learn, okay lang yan! And I'm here to help you know what it is and how you can spot them.
In this episode we are going to talk about an issue regarding the racism experienced by the black community dahil sa nangyaring pagpatay kay George Floyd that urged not only the Americans, but even people from other countries to join the movement called Black Lives Matter.
As a generation that values their freedom of speech, we have come to a point where we want to speak out and be heard by all people. Today we want to talk to you about how many people in this country can be mistaken as something as heavy as a terrorist even if it was just a simple act of criticizing the government through Facebook. Baka naman sabihin ninyo “Ang OA naman non Kyle, terorista agad” but at this time, our reaction isn’t even over reacting.
In today’s landscape where the Philippines is experiencing a rise in covid-19 cases and vaccine development is still a long way to go. Our schools and universities are now finding alternative ways to deliver education to you. But considering not everyone has internet (and a fast one at that) the challenge for the education sector has never been greater.
You see, with all those things in mind were putting this underlying problem into the spotlight: Making education accessible to all.
After half a year since the Covid-19 outbreak in Wuhan, China, an anti-inflammatory drug called dexamethasone that underwent a trial in the UK has been claimed to treat seriously ill patients with Covid-19. What is the drug? Is it available here in the Philippines? Can we make it? Is it expensive? Let's answer all these questions and more here today.
We are in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic where our government does the bare minimum using military as a solution instead of focusing on the threat itself, finding a way to solve the problem with the help of experts from the medical field, and report news and updates. This is the worst time to close down one of the channels of mass communication that can deliver real news and information. Filipinos are tensed. If a government can shut down one of the largest broadcasting network, a big one, smaller media outlets and other organizations are at risk. Power is abused, human rights are violated.
