Simply Reformed Christian is hosted by Isaac, a young Reformed Biblical Christian living in Singapore. Seeing a need for Christian to hold onto Biblical doctrines, I have decided to start this podcast to help us view the Bible from a reformed perspective.
As a person who had believed in the Lord for only a few years, there are yet many things for me to learn and grow in. Feedbacks and comments are all welcome to help all of us grow spiritually and more Christ-like.
As of now, I am doing a Morning session with my youths in Church, which is why the daily upload.
Many Christian Singaporeans has a very basic understanding of the Trinity and hopes to explain it via different analogy, but by doing so, more often than not, we have unknowingly fallen into heresy. In today episode, we will be exploring the idea of the trinity, what it means, and why is it so important to us as Christians to have a right understanding of who God is.

In the episode, we will continue to look at how the LBCF talks about the Godhead, and also how we as created beings relate to our creator. We will explore how as man, we are obligated to worship him as our creator. And also other attributes of God which teach us who he is.

Starting with chapter 2, we continue to explore the object of worship in the Christian religion. The one and only, truly living God, which the Bible teaches to worship. We will be looking at the list of attributes and characteristic of this God o whom we worship. We will also be looking at how so of us might say that we believe in certain attributes, but yet failed to express it either through our lives or our conversations.

Finally, we have finished the last 2 paragraphs of Chapter 1. The issue of the finality of the Scripture is a question many of us would ask ourselves today, such as how should we interpret the Bible and how should we read the Bible. We will be exploring that idea in this episode, and see how this has affected Christianity in Singapore in recent years.

ESV, NIV, NASB etc... As English speakers, we are blessed with so many different translations of the Bible, though not all are equal. In today's episode, we will be exploring just that, the translation of scripture. I will be monologuing for the first half before I invite Chris and Dave to join me in discussing the usage of different translation in Singapore. The debate of baptism has always been the major difference between the Baptist and the Presbyterians. Today, I am delighted to host Chris, representing the credobaptist, and Dave, representing the paedobaptist, in the debate. Though we touch on para 6 a little in the last episode, we thought to dwell a bit more on it this episode. We recon that many Christin today have separated the faith and their lives and how often we have neglected to see the purpose of the scripture in our lives also. We will also look into the clarity of scripture and explain why there might be differences between denominations and even between Christians. But yet we realise that there are certain truths such as salvation which cannot be denied by any Christian.

Today, many of us do not think much about how our Bible came about, some of us might not even know that between the different Christian traditions, the number of books might differ. In today's podcast, we will look into the definition of the canon, how it came to be, and how we as contemporary protestant view the "extra books" known as the Apocrypha.

Today, we see the interaction of this poor man with Jesus in the temple. How might we learn something for the acts of this man? We will discuss that here today.
Evidence of God is all around us. Since creation, God has shown himself to s that we are inexcusable from not knowing him. Though we have been given the scripture today already, yet many still assert that there is a continuous revelation from God to them. Sometimes to the extend which people would claim things which are outright against what we have been told by the Scriptures. In this episode, we will explore more on revelation and how it should impact and affect us as Christians.

We see that after the poor man was healed, he ran into a group of Jews who started questioning what had happened to this man. Today we come and explore what might the Jews had wanted out of the man, and see how the man was commissioned to do something by Christ

We see the miracle which occurred instantly as Jesus called the invalid man to rise and walk. We are told in vv 9 that all this had occurred on the Sabbath, which traditionally means that people are not allowed to work, but now we see Jesus coming to reform and correct this.

See how the invalid man reply to Christ? And how he informs Christ about the situation he is in? It is good for us then to reflect upon ourselves as to how we had been treated and how we treat others.

As we journey with Christ, we see how he came across this man with an illness spending over 38 years. How pitiful is this man, but yet often of times we do not associate him with ourselves? May God use these verses to teach us how we are in a similar state as this man, yet still being content knowing that He watches over us.
Living in a relative society such as Singapore, we are often influenced by the different schools of thoughts, be it Christian or not. It is very difficult to "enforce" a certain set of beliefs. Even more when it comes to confessions, many will shy away from it. This is a series where a group of young Christians will gather together and discuss our views on LBCF 1689 and see how it had impacted our life and journey as a Christian sojourning in Singapore.

As we start with John 5, we see Christ travelling to Jerusalem. Another miracle of Christ is waiting to occur, but we ought to establish the setting which it occurred. We shall see how this pool, named Bethesda, might help us in understanding the situation that the people might face.

Today we will look at the end of John 4, to see how this miracle done by Christ paved a way for the official to testify for Christ among his family.

As the official returns home, his sn recovers from his illness. We see how the promise of Jesus is fulfilled and the official's faith had been confirmed by the words of his servant.

The official continues to persist on his request to save his son. His reaction to the rebuke of Christ shows 2 expects of him, one his respect towards Christ in calling him "lord" and his infirmity in his concern towards his son. We will explore both today.

We continue to journey with Christ to Galilee after stopping for two days in Samaria. However, finding no honour in his own hometown, Jesus did not travel to Nazareth, why would that be the case?
