Prohibition
Amendment 18 was ratified January 16, 1919, bringing the prohibition of alcohol to America. The amendment was repealed by Amendment 21, December 5, 1933.

Through the Constitution with Douglas V. Gibbs
The 17th Amendment removed State representation in the federal government, centralizing the government in Washington, and diminishing the voice of the States. Ratified during the progressive era, the amendment changed the dynamics of the American System, opening a path for tyranny in the central government. By eliminating the States' ability to participate in the federal government, it removed their influence regarding their own interests, and introduced ideology into the Senate, placing the powers of advise and consent into the hands of directly elected officials.

Through the Constitution with Douglas V. Gibbs
The 16th Amendment established an allowance for Congress to enact direct taxation. The same year the Federal Reserve Act went into action. The Progressive Era gained full steam in 1913, followed shortly after by the 17th Amendment. Direct taxation was never supposed to be enacted, and it was a political game connected to the Bailey Bill that created the environment needed to "soak the rich." As for the Federal Reserve Act, the democrats split the republican vote to achieve their dream of private international bankers issuing, and manipulating, American currency. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The 13th Amendment abolished slavery, and the 15th Amendment protects the right to vote regardless of "race, color, or previous condition of servitude." The 14th Amendment is where we will spend most of our time today, discussing the citizenship clause, the due process clause and the equal protection clause.

Lesson 13: Article V. - Amendments, Convention
The Rule of Law is a standard given to us by the United States Constitution, but it can be changed. The Founding Fathers, in their wisdom, enabled us to change the Constitution as necessary, through the amendment process. But the Houses of Congress are not the only ones able to propose amendments. The States can too, through what is called an Article V. Convention. In fact, there are three kinds of convention, and today we will talk about all of them, and the benefits, and dangers, of each of them.

Two versions of the American dream stand in sharp contrast. One views the money you earn as yours and best allocated by you, championing the traditional American dream, which has played out millions of times through generations of Americans, of improving one’s lot in life and the entrepreneurial spirit of daring to dream and to build big. The other has the federal government, using taxpayers’ money, playing a major role in distributing wealth to level the field, regardless of effort. Obama believes in larger government. Amid stunning testimony by a former Justice Department official alleging the National Association for the Advancement of Colored Peoples behind-the-scenes lobbying on behalf of New Black Panther Party members charged with voter intimidation, the civil rights organization is formerly repudiating racism in the Tea Parties.
The hypocrisy of such conceit is galling, says Erik Rush, the author of a new top-selling book on racial politics titled, Negrophilia: From Slave Block to Pedestal Americas Racial Obsession.
There is no racism in the tea party movement, says Rush, and any condemnation or intimation that there is by the NAACP or any other organization is simply part and parcel of their political imperative regarding the social balkanization of America. These assertions (pertaining to the Tea Party) are lies, and those proffering them know it.
The Philadelphia Inquirers editorial staff recently labeled Rush a persistent hater for calling Obamas and Attorney General Eric Holders racists in light of recent testimony revealing the Justice Department hostility to cases with black defendants and white victims.
Persistent haters like Erik Rush, author of Negrophilia: From Slave Block to Pedestal, America's Racial Obsession, are actually accusing Obama of racism, the Inquirer editorial states. As evidence they cite the Justice Department's decision not to pursue a Philadelphia voter-intimidation case involving a group called the New Black Panther Party. (T)he scale of justice must be applied appropriately, and here it appears that it was. Attempts to inflate the incident to bash Obama must be seen for what they are. And the NAACP meeting would be a good setting for Obama to address that.

PRESIDENT REAGAN’S 100 BIRTHDAY PARTY - President’s Legacy to Be Commemorated In 2011
Centennial birthdays of American Presidents are significant historical occasions. Since 1950, the United States Congress has, on only 10 occasions, established a commission to develop plans to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of an American President or First Lady. In June 2009, President Obama signed into law a proclamation establishing an 11-member bi-partisan Commission to oversee the planning of the Ronald Reagan Centennial throughout 2011.
As President Reagan would have wanted, no taxpayer dollars were appropriated for any of the Reagan Centennial activities. All events and initiatives will be funded by private donations collected through The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation.
President Reagan believed America’s best days were always ahead. Over the course of the next two years, a number of signature initiatives will be launched that will endure long after the Centennial year.

Nick Popaditch is running for Congress. Gunny Pop authored a book, "Once A Marine," that tells the story of an RPG hitting his tank in Fallujah. The story of his injuries is phenomenal.
The Imperial Valley Press, because Nick is not a liberal, and is a candidate for the U.S. Congress, published a political cartoon (see above) mocking the injuries of the decorated Iraq War veteran.
The cartoon was published in The Imperial Valley Press, a newspaper in Imperial County, the location of the 51st District where Popaditch is running for Congress.
The cartoon shows a poster of candidate Nick Popaditch, who has a patch over his right eye. Two youths with skateboards seem perplexed by the poster.
"What does that remind you of?" one says.
The other answers: "A James Bond super villain? A bald pirate? Uncle Fester with an eye patch."
Popaditch lost the sight in his right eye during the battle for Fallujah as a tank commander in Iraq in 2004. He received the Silver Star and Purple Heart. Among those criticizing the cartoon is Cheryl Perez, president of the Ladies Auxiliary, Military Order of the Purple Heart, unit 49, San Diego.

When Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall passed away in 1993, his one time law clerk Elena Kagan eulogized him, not only revealingd some shocking things about Marshall's view of the U.S. Constitution but by doing so glowingly, revealed some things about herself she will have to deny at her confirmation hearings if she is to be the next Supreme Court Justice.
When people hear the Constitution referred to as a “living and breathing document”, it is the judicial activism practiced by the likes of Thurgood Marshall – referred to with reverence by Kagan – that lends itself to that view.
Theodore (Ted) Shoebat has done extensive research on things that lead to tyranny, while maintaining a great admiration for the U.S. Constitution. Based on what he's learned about Elena Kagan's views regarding that document, he thinks her confirmation will lean America, a bit more towards tyranny.
To be an "originalist" is to hold an interpretation of the Constitution in line with what the founding fathers meant. Constitutional intent refers to the meaning behind the words written in the document. They were meant to be a guide for Judges to use when rendering their decisions. When judges deviate from it, there should be great cause for concern.
When a judge who allegedly had a degree of disrespect for the document he swore an oath to uphold is revered for that disrespect by a woman seeking the same position, how will she rule? Does she have the same level of disrespect for that document? The founders of this nation formed a Constitution because they wanted it to be respected and followed. They did so in order to prevent men – and / or women – from inching future generations toward tyranny.
Judicial activism inevitiably leads to tyranny. The confirmation of Elena Kagan will almost certainly guarantee the former in the highest court in the land.

Dorothy Yeung, J.D. is the legislative counsel for the National Right to Life State Legislation Department and joins us tonight to discuss pro-life movement in Nebraska and how a landmark abortion-rights case is going to come before the Supreme Court. Dorothy is coming on the program tonight to discuss the intriguing details of the Nebraska bill currently making its way through the Nebraska statehouse and how at the core of the bill is new scientific evidence indicating that, after 20 weeks in the womb, a fetus has developed all the nervous structures necessary to begin feeling pain, thus establishing a cruelty threshold that brings an entirely new perspective to the abortion debate. In Nebraska, with the passage of this bill, abortions would be banned after said 20 weeks (with certain exceptions contingent on health risks to the mother). Of course, everyone knows that, if it does indeed pass and become state law, pro-choice groups will argue it is in violation of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, and they’ll see that it too goes before the Justices.
For pro-life advocates this may not be a bad thing. In light of this new scientific evidence, the pro-life case might not only successfully defend this Nebraska law, but also open the door for the Supreme Court to revisit precedent.
“Since 1973, there has been a lot of development in what we know about the developing, unknown child,” says Yeung's colleague, Mary Balch. “This new information should make it to the Supreme Court.”

Within minutes after President Obama signed his immensely unpopular healthcare reform bill into law, Florida State Attorney General Bill McCollum, along with colleagues from 13 other states, filed suit against the federal government for the new law’s unconstitutional provisions—particularly with respect to its requirement that citizens buy federally mandated health insurance.
Meanwhile, somewhat under the radar of the healthcare fury, more than 30 states in the union are also banding together against the encroachment of the federal government under the Firearms Freedom Act. Led by Montana, five states have turned the FFA into law, while others are in the process of doing so. It asserts that any guns or ammunition manufactured and retained inside a state’s respective state lines are exempt from Congress’ federal commerce regulatory authority under the Constitution.
And the vibe is, this states-united pushback isn’t going to end here. So, what exactly is going on?
The Founders wisdom and vision of a limited federal government enshrined in the Constitution—particularly in Article 1, Section 8, and emphasized in the Tenth Amendment—has been eroded badly over our two centuries, but never so egregiously, nor rapidly, as during the last 14 months.

After the people of Massachusetts spoke all too loud and clear electing Republican Scott Brown to the Senate, the Democrats' tenuous control of Congress has them practicing the legislative equivalent of a Chinese fire drill.
The latest hot-button issue on the table, or red flag up the polls, is unemployment, triggering the Washington knee-jerk reaction to begin kicking around a "jobs bill." But, while the Democrats, in apparent desperation, are holding press conferences on this bill before an actual article of legislation actually exists, entrepreneur, patent attorney, business-policy expert and author Dale Halling says these politicians need to reevaluate.

An eight-year-old student in Taunton, Massachusetts, drew a picture of Jesus on the cross for an assignment about Christmas. The school sent the boy home and orderedg him to undergo a psychological evaluation. The school allegedly “feared his artwork might be exposing violent tendencies.” The school has since denied the accusation that the child was suspended. Attorney Alan Reinach, President of the North American Religious Liberty Association–West, says it doesn’t take away from the fact that more of these types of discriminatory, anti-Christian actions are flaring up in schools across the country. Reinach there is an indisputable trend of secularists with views about separation of church and state overstepping their bounds and crossing into blatant violations of 1st Amendment rights.
