Habakkuk's Hope Habakkuk 3 -- Days of _trial_ will come. -- Remember God's _faithfulness_ in the midst of _trial_. -- Remember God's _salvation_ regularly. -- Habakkuk's _joy_ was not found in his _circumstances_ but in his relationship with God alone. -- My hope and salvation leads to _prayer_ and _proclamation_ in the present.
A Contrast of Righteousness Habakkuk 2:4-20 -- The unrighteous steal and exploit while the faithful live lives of generosity. -- The unrighteous are unjust and greedy while the righteous walk in integrity. -- The unrighteous harm others for their glory while the righteous live lives of compassion for God's glory. -- The unrighteous exploit others for their pleasure the righteous serve others for God’s glory. -- The unrighteous worship the created while the righteous worship the creator.
•The unrighteous put their confidence in themselves, but the righteous live by faith •Faith is a gift. •Faith comes from hearing the good news of Jesus.
We are responsible to encourage others. We are encouraged by reading the Bible. We are encouraged by relationships with other Christians.
God is Infinite and Eternal, I am finite and temporary.
Right Perspective Before God, shifts our burdens to Him and Restores our Faith.
Proper Perspective is only possible within a relationship with Jesus.
God hears our prayers and He responds.
God’s priority is restored relationships (salvation) not our safety, comfort, and ease.
God prioritizes restored relationships so much that He sends Jesus to the cross so all can experience salvation.
Jesus meets us in our doubts and disappointments. Jesus offers us life in the midst of our doubts. Jesus will be gloried despite our doubts, superstitions and the trials of this world. Jesus offers us life even in the midst of our death.
Stand amazed in His love for you in His darkest hour. Believe in His love for you in your darkest hour. Evaluate your life through the lens of His love.
