Today's podcast is a very much-needed conversation. I look around the body of Christ and I see a lot of anomalies. Some have miss interpreted their roles and rather than cover, guide and counsel they want to control and dictate. I know there are Elizabeth- Mary covenant relationships. Women who acknowledge those gifts and anointings God sends their way. We need more of such especially within the local assembly. Identifying, acknowledging and appreciating the ministry grace around you is a strength and not a weakness. Working together to advance the kingdom is the goal. Harnessing strengths in areas of weakness is very profitable. Reciprocating the same to anyone who understands this truth is bliss!May we be more mature in engaging and managing the gifts and grace in the people God places on our way to destiny. πβ€π₯°Listen to the full message on my podcast. #diaryofapastorswife #managingrelationships
The Bible's prescription for a successful marriage is clear. Husbands Love your wives, wives submit to your own husbands. Women who have the unique grace to be influential in ministry, the corporate world or in the marketplace, need to learn submission through the Holy Spirit not rob themselves of the unique role their husbands play in bringing out the best in them. The goal is not who is more influential, it is how we establish thr purpose of God.
Sadly, we have found ourselves in a generation where submission has been modernized. Many don't even want to hear the word submit. Immediately their guards are let up! They become defensive. Because of erroneous teaching on the subject, some have decided to throw away the baby with the bath water. Submission is emphasised at weddings as a law rather than a tenet of faith that is mutual. The issue of submission is drummed in the ears of young brides leaving out the importance of Christ being the head of the man. It takes being submitted under the headship of Christ as a man (husband) to have your wife give submission willingly and freely without mandating it. Sarah was able to obey Abraham, calling him lord because she trusted in God and the structure He has put in marriage and because the man has also submitted to the leadership provided in Christ.
Offence is a cancerous plague attacking the body of Christ. We undermine its power to stand in the way of our progress and prosperity. John the Baptist was offended by Jesus. David's brothers were offended by his boldness and inquisitiveness. Joseph's brothers were offended by him because they perceived his father loved him more and he thought too highly of himself. Jesus could not do any miracle in his hometown because they were offended by him. Prov 18:19 says "A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city!" Wow! Now that is deep. Don't let the devil rob you of tout freedom by putting you under the bondage of offence. Sometimes you are the one carrying a heavy burden, you are the one losing your sleep over something you perceived someone did that he/she isn't even aware of. Deliver yourself today! Seek peace and move on.
Sadly, relationships nowadays have become very superficial. Some want to identify with the big names and shots just because of how it makes them look. It's just for thr gram. We call people mama and papa and yet they cant correct or rebuke us. We hop from one person to the other as it pleases us and when needed. Relationship is beyond someone's word, post or youtube video blessing you. It is deeper than that. It has to be genuine, time must be invested and it should be mutual. This is how we truly grow. Not just giving people nomenclature just because it sounds nice. Let's be guided. π
Hello Beautiful! This is so dear to my heart. See a lot of young people make the mistake of just running off on half revelation. Some feel because they now have a voice and a following they don't need anyone guiding or counselling them. Their ego has gotten in the way and they don't even realize it. God will always surround you with people that have gone ahead of you or are in positions you desire to be in. Emotional intelligence is very vital in delivering on your assignment. Sometimes these people will be nice and sweet, sometimes they will be like a bone in your throat. Sometimes these men and women have flaws just like you and sometimes they can be considered old-fashioned. Yet God in His wisdom will put them in your life to guide you. It would be wrong to belittle the measure of influence they bring into your life or to think they are irrelevant in your journey to discovery and growth. No matter how high you go, you will always need people to learn from and be guided by. Do not underestimate their contributions. Deal wisely with those God bring your way.
Welcome to March ππ. I am excited to be doing this with you this month. This March I will be looking at Managing relationships. Relationship is a currency more powerful than money. Many times money has failed and relationship has made a way. Managing the relationships God brings on our journey is very crucial to finding fulfilment and succeeding in the role. Not just as a pastor's wife but generally as a human being. Do not despise the importance of relationship and the role it plays in fulfilling destiny.
Whoever said you must be the women's ministry leader simply because you are the pastor's wife. Too many women feel frustrated in roles they don't have grace for. Many have left their post like Queen Vashti and concerned themselves with duties they have no business with. The Pressure to be relevant has come at the expense of being the wife of the pastor.
I get asked this question a lot. Pastor's wives are perceived as women whose life purpose is to serve the purpose of their husbands. In this podcast, I tried to enlighten us and possibly change this narrative. Everyone who shows up on the earth has a unique assignment. That you got married to a pastor should not steal that away from you. Rather it should provide a platform for you to give expression to it better. Because marriage is a partnership that makes two better than one.
Too many wounded people in the church. Many hurting by something someone did to them either unknowingly or unknowingly. Many have left the church or are in the process of disengaging because of unaddressed offences. I pray for healing and restoration.
Regardless of the role/office, it is such a unique privilege to be able to serve the purpose of God. But I believe the devil is trying so hard to stand in the way of helping many embrace the blessedness that comes with this unique responsibility. Being a pastor's wife if at all should enhance God's calling and assignment over your life. Embrace this truth and see your life blossom. π₯°
Welcome to February!! To all my dear sisters who feel robbed because the man they married was a young committed brother who just loves the Lord but at the same time has a job or a career they are pursuing. Suddenly says he has a calling to pastoring. How? When? Such women begin to feel pressured and feel they will be deprived of their privacy and no longer will have full access to their husbands. Is that true?
Do not try and fit into a box God did not put you in. To truly fulfil your assignment you need to be truly Free. Understanding that your true freedom does not come from being accepted by people but from being accepted by God. Do not fall victim to the trap of comparison. No one is the standard. Christ is our standard. We measure ourselves with Christ NOT another creation of His. Paul says it's unwise to do so. This year give yourself permission to truly live!!!
NO ONE is like you! Let that sink in. Think about it. Let it become a revelation to you. You were uniquely created and formed by God for a specific assignment that has your name tag and your thumbprint. That means no matter how many pastor's wives there are, no one can carry out your assignment the way you would. As you grow and subject yourself to inevitable change, as you allow yourself to evolve you permit yourself to become an improved version of who you are. To know this is to know peace. To know this is to know joy! Never again would you want to be something else other than yourself. Wake up every morning and sell "you to you". Tell yourself "I am fearfully and wonderfully made, I am created for my unique assignment. I am no longer a shadow of me. I am ME and I love the 'me' I am becoming."
This January I will be speaking to your identity! Who are you? Is your life purpose defined solely by the office you occupy? Is there more to you? Did you know understanding your identity as first defined by God will help you fulfil your role as a pastor's wife? Did you even know that there are several expressions to who you were created to be? And being a pastor's wife is just one of the many ways to give expression to who you are meant to be. Click and listen! You will be blessed. β€
Welcome to 2023 and welcome to the first episode od Diary of a Pastor's wife. I am excited to be going on this self-discovery, purpose redefining and assignment-establishing journey with you. The office you occupy is a unique one that God only graces you to fill and function in. So come along. Every Tuesday let's unravel!!!
You need to train your spirit man to be able to decode how God speaks. You can limit Him to a language.
Before you stand before Goliath, He will first test you with the lion and the bear Before you go naming Eve. He will test you with the animals..
You cannot get everybody to like you because you are not sent to all. Some will accept your assignment in their lives and some will reject it. It doesn't mean you have failed.
To lead is to serve. Leadership is responsibility. It's not about how brilliant or better than others.
It is our duty as parents to train up A child the way he SHOULD go. To do that the responsibility is on us to know the way the child is meant to go.
One of the key enabler of great marriage is great sex and its greatest enhancer is Great communication. Sex should be enjoyed within the confines of the marriage bed undefiled.
Don't waste your pain, love can also be expressed as no. Jesus loved Lazarus he started back 2 days and the end of the day it was for his glory.
There is no love without giving. Love is sacrificial it thinks not of self but of others. You will give of your time, resource, skills and money.
Marriage was instituted by God not just for multiplication but to carry out His assignment.
In love we make compromises, sacrifices, we adapt, we make changes to accommodate our spouses differences. It's not just about spending money. It's about doing what it truly means to love.
You cannot give what you do not have. Find yourself, love yourself, acknowdge yourself then you can appreciate when someone loves you and you won't feel drained when you love someone.
You decide to love someone based on an informed knowledge of your life together. Not based on just how you feel. Feelings are very unstable.
Your life does not consist of the abundance of the things that you possess. Relationship is a currency.
The blessing of the Lord makes rich and HE adds no sorrow. Prov: 10: 22 Don't mistake THE blessing for blessings.
The currency of life is relationship. No one is designed to be an island. We are social beings and God designed us to interact. Appreciate everyone God brings your way regardless.
Understanding the power of a seed. Inside every seed is the potential for a BIG mighty tree. Do not despise the days of small begining.
Life shouldn't always be about what I can get. It should be be with a pure heart believing the best in everyone God brings our way. You Never know!
Don't give your precious time to time wasters and those who are parasitic in nature. Not every one should be given priority. Your life. Wisdom requires that you pay attention to those who value you, your contributions, your time and your person.
We are in a generations where everything is superficial. We don't invest time in know something before we make our conclusions. Remember, assumption is that lowest level of Knowledge. Don't be a victim.
God sends people our way as friends. Some are there for the long haul and some are seasonal and in phases. Understanding the importance of each will guide your heart and mind.
We often feel we will get many chances in life. Sometimes you are only presented with one window of opportunity, one life changing chance. What do you do? How prepared are you to embrace that opportunity?
Sometimes God using separation as a tool to get us on track His will and purpose. It is not always easy or comfortable but trust God that He is working it all for your good.
Our journey with God is never linear. There will be interjections along the way. But God in His sovereign nature was everything all planned out and makes sure everything works out together for our good. You just have to trust Him.
God has a way of connecting the dots. He ensures you are at the right place, at the right time with the right person. He works behind the scene to ensure that His word does not fall to the ground void.
Trust God in the good and bad. Trust Him when it is clear and when you don't have all the answers. Trust Him in and out of season.
Submitting to authority is like sowing seeds for the future. You can only give what you have.
Since we did not have an input in determining which family we came through, it was all within God's infinite wisdom. Then we need to trust Him that He determined what was best for us regardless of the imperfections and lack thereof.
Always make decisions with a future in mind. Jesus, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross.
God showed up in front of Abraham's house as 3 men. He could have missed God if he wasn't sensitive. The visitation of the Angel to Mary happened unceremoniously. Don't miss God in the seemly unspectacular narratives.
Don't plug yourself back into what God already redeemed you out of. Rev 5:9. No culture, tribe or race is good. That's why God redeemed us out of them and brought us into. New culture : The Kingdom.
God said to Moses, put my name on the children of Israel and I will bless them! Giving anything a name requires the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Just like Adam. When you name it by the spirit, it becomes what you named it. π
God is always at the begining. Your existence began before you were formed in the womb. Because He KNEW you before then. You began in God Himself. Hallelujah!
This 2nd quarter I walk with my head raised high. I walk upon my high places because I am anointed! I am anointed with the HolySpirit and power! I go about doing good! Watch out! I am dispensing good all through this quarter.Glory to Godβ€οΈ
A word in my heart for someone who has delayed in stepping out and following God's leading because they keep looking at themselves and their shortcomings. It's NOT about you! It's about The giver of the assignment and the assignment itself. ππ
God commanded light to shine, not from heaven or from Himself, but out of darkness. This month I see God doing the same with that emptiness, gloom, void and darkness. He is unleashing His creative ability over your life such that each day all you will have to say is God is good! Glory to God. Congratulations you made it. ππππ
Welcome to August the month the Lord makes ALL things new. The month He turns around your story, the month He starts afresh with you giving you brand new testimonies. Congratulations! You made it.
God is more interested in the process than the outcome. He is more interested in who you are becoming. The end is settled, He has vested interest in HOW you get there.
Do not waste your pain. God is always a lot of steps ahead of the Devil. No matter what the Devil thinks he's got on you becomes your message when handed over to God.
Divine orchestrations still happens. God bringing you into real estates in the Spirit. Movements, interventions, solutions He started with someone years before and He now connects the dot through you! It is a rare privilege.
When things happen to you now, like the snake fastened around Paul's hand, dont be too quick to conclude that it must be God punishing you. Even if those around suggests so. The answer to that: shake off the beats!
Your heart is a reflection of who you truly are. Not your words, looks or intellect. God looks 'into' the heart. Your heart must constantly be in agreement with your mouth.
Our life experiences shape us into who we become. God introduces these experiences as we journey through life to build character and stamina in us.
The training of the father is NOT to convince the father of who you are, or to prove to the Devil who He already made you, but to bring you to that place where without doubt YOU know who you are.
John the Baptist was graced to baptize with water. Jesus was to baptize with Holyspirit and Fire. One is not more important than the other. Infact the former is needed for the latter to do His part.
Zacchaeus was of short stature but he wanted to SEE Jesus to KNOW Him. He didnt stay and whine about how short he was, he RAN ahead and CLIMBED a tree. How far are you willing to go in search of Christ?
Saul landed the kingdom simply by obeying his father's instruction in looking for missing Donkeys. God was the mastermind behind that very event. He positioned every player at the right time and right place! He connects the dots, just trust Him.
Follow your heart seems like a good advice, but I would rather you follow God. We dont make decisions based on what someone did or did not do. Before you make that life decision to leave, make sure you know where you are going.
Your destiny is too great to be tampered with by someone's forgetfulness. When man forgets, God never forgets, He is up to something.
People rarely forget. They constantly refer to you based on who you used to be. It doesnt matter, it's their opinion. What matters is how you see your self. Dont get stuck in the past, you dont live there anymore.
There are some instructions God gives that you can't explain to everyone. As God invites you on this journey of purpose, expect some measure of uncertainty.
God trusts your ability even when you dont. It is a privilege to be included in what He is doing. Trust Him.
Stop focusing on your inabilities, God knows what you can and cannot do before He gave you that assignment. Focus on His ability.
The revelation of the word of God is progressive. With the help of the Holy Spirit we press in the more. There are yet deeper truth waiting to be unravelled. Let's get digging!
God has never and will never glorify what the devil is doing. He has got you covered hence He says "take No thought!"
God does not dwell on what the enemy is doing. Rather He projects what He is doing. Can we be like God? Not projecting our inadequacies and in abilities but projecting the finished works of Christ.
Noah believed God against all odds. It isnt an easy thing to do when God ask you to do something others do not understand. Choosing to walk by faith may require that you walk a lonely path but it does NOT mean you are lonely!
It takes just 1 man, 1 act of obedience, 1 walk of faith, 1 sacrifce, 1 resolution and it creates a ripple effect. God doesnt most times need too many people. He populated the world through 1 man- Adam. What are you influencing as 1 man.
Our faith journey requires that we move in obedience whether or not we see the provision. As sons we trust the father to show up when we need Him the most.
Sometimes you just have to stay with what God has said regardless. It might take long, it might look like foreever, but God is too faithful, He will do what He said. We all need grace for staying!
Accepting responsibility for our lives is very integral to us having a fulfilling life. God will not work in isolation. You will have to do your part.
God ordained relationships (connections) don't often come in attractive packages. Value relationships
Adultery will cost you your life. A wounded man or woman becomes a prey in the hands of the enemy. Deal with you wounds. Allow God heal you!
Nothing more liberating than owning your life journey. Life is in phases. Acknowledge every phase thanking God for where you have been, where you are, in anticipation of where you are heading.
As a believer you need to be ever so mindful of who the father says you are. People will have opinions about you but that should NOT define you. But what your father says about you!
I existed in Gods thought before He created me. I am not a mistake, I am NOT a flop! I was well planned before I showed up. My life is definately a thrill!
God is not an occasional God. If we limit Him to show up only during revivals and crusades, we miss out on Him. He can show up even in casual conversations. Be mindful!
That it is Good does NOT mean it is God. We constantly need to led by the HolySpirit to navigate life's rapids.
You were NOT a mistake. You were planned. Every day of your life has been scripted by God before you showed up here. Paslm 139 v 16. You showed up because of the very reason God thought of you. Let's journey together the next 31 days discovering why you showed up!
When God gives you a word, He says it from a stand point of "it is settled". Your duty is to be sensitive to His leading to identify when and how He brings that word to pass. This is very key and a fundamental requirement in us being trained sons and daughters.
We are told that averagely one person meets about 80,000 people in a life time. Today's episode speaks to your core existence. You are here for a purpose and you as one person have soo much of God's investment. There is soo.much 1 person can bring into their world. Through 1 man sin entered. Through another 1 man righteousness entered. So ask yourself, what am I bringing?
Our greatest resource in 2021 should be the ministry of the HolySpirit. Amidst all our other goals as we begin the year, make having a vital, working relationship with The HolySpirit as one of such important goals. That is what will situate us in Gods great plan for our lives.
Welcome to December. We are reminded that in God no matter what has happened, there will always be better. As believers our path is subject to the path of the just. We move from glory to glory. We are assured that God has got us and has secured that which is ours for us. Regardless of what may have happened in the year 2020 we are reminded that there are NO better yesterdays in God, only better tomorrows. Welcome to BETTER!β€
Welcome to the month of Novemeber. Our (BABES REDEFINED) anniversary month! This is a such a unique time in history. God is set to do great and mighty things through us . I encourage you to join the rain. And together #WEMOVE!
The shunammite woman made a decision to make room for the man of God both in her heart and in her home. She didnt do it wanting anything in return. She did it simply because she perceived he was truly a man of God and she had the means. In return she got an outstanding miracle. Her son (who the the man of God prophesied his birth) had died and he was raised back to life ON that same Bed and In that same room the woman had provided for Elisha! Little did she know that, that little gesture was going to deliver to her a miracle in the near future. May we be sensitive to make things happen for others when we have the ability to do so.
One thing I can never get tired of seeing laced all through the bible is the workings of God! God is very detailed! There is NO situation you are faced with now that doesnt have answers and solutions in the word. The widow of zarephath was a provider but she did not know. God doesnt call you who you are NOT. If He says you are a provider, then that's who you are regardless of what your current situation may look like! See God work out His purpose for you.
There are certain decisions or actions God will refrain us from making, not because we dont have a right to do those things but because our future depends on the outcome of that reaction. So it's an act of mercy on Gods part to stop us in our tracks before we do something that will stand in our way of success or fulfilling purpose tomorrow. That was the case with David, Nabal and Abigail. May this voice recording be the voice of Abigail to tou today! π
Welcome to August. The month the Lord brings you into divine connections and alignment. The month you locate your destiny helper and that your life takes a turn in the direction of purpose. The month the Lord rewards your sacrifices and consistency. This month, you will be led and circumstances with orchestrate itself to favour you by the leading of the HolySpirit. Amen.
Innate confidence is the ability to believe in yourself not just in what you can do. Developing a strong ME concept. Being your no 1 fan, celebrating YOU. How do you get here? When you understand who is partnering with you. Who is on your side, who is sending you: God. Not letting your past or what has described failure to you erode you of your self confidence. Knowing God does not partner with a flop! You are NOT a failure. You are ENOUGH!
God who commamded light to shine OUT of darkness. Darkness has potential to deploy light! Hidden in the midst of every darkness is the innate abilit to birth forth light! When God said LET there be light in Genesis 1, the word LET there means 'allow'. More like make room for light! GOD didnt speak light from hinself over the darkness. He COMMANDED the light in the darkness to express its self! The same way He is Comanding the light in you to shine regardless of the darkness. π
Welcome to july! The month we experience open heaven because of what God is set to do with us in the near future. It is also going to be a praying month. We were told that as Jeus prayed the heaven opened over him and the Holy Spirit descended and there was a voice of confirmation. This is our reality this month of july as we pick the vibration of God in the Spirit. β€π
So many times we are in doubt of ourselves. We give God a list of reasons why we dont qualify. We often think God is out looking for the perfect and the best match for the assignment π. No, God is a master at qualifying the unqualified. When He is done with you, even you would be amazed at what God has done! The key thing is trusting in God's ability regardless of your short comings or weaknesses. He knew you just as you were before He showed up at the doorstep of your heart. Be encouraged. Your sufficiency is NOT of yourself, but of God! Let Him put His super on your Natural!
What do you become while you wait on God for something? Are you really "waiting" on God? Or God is the one waiting on you. What sort of person are you while you wait? Are you soo focused on that need that you lose sight of what is important? Do you get carried away thinking on that need that nothing else matters? May our hearts be strengthened and may we not spend our entire life 'waiting' when we could have 'become' in the process.π Be blessed!β€
It's not enough to stay hoping. To have delivered to us what God has promised us we need to move from hope to faith. Where faith is not the absence of troubles or obstacles but is an unwavering determination to believe God regardless. I hope this word of exhortation blesses your heart. β€
