Many were destroyed when a few wanted to see the ten command and pushed aside the mercy seat of the arch of the covenant. 1 Samuel 6:19-21
When we push aside God’s mercy and focus on the law, we to will be destroyed and not only us but also those that surround us, as we try to live up to a standard that only Jesus reached.
The contrast to this is found in 1 Samuel 7:14 14 The towns from Ekron to Gath that the Philistines had captured from Israel were restored to Israel, and Israel delivered the neighbouring territory from the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites. The territory the enemy stole was restored to them and not only them but those that surrounded them because they turned their hearts to the Lord once again and let go.
Be like King David and bring God’s presence to the centre of your life and let it overflow!

The lamp stands spoken about in Zechariah represent us. The lamp stand oil represents the oil of anointing. The oil was always meant to fill our vessel The flame represents the light we shine as we witness to others - what good is the oil of anointing if it is not alight.
We are supposed to shine our light. He’s desire is to have a flame in every workplace, every family, everywhere we place our feet.
We believe God is calling us to: 1. Resource other churches 2. Be a regional church, not a local church
Creating Space to encounter God is more important that the Spot we encountered Him.
It is much more important to remember the God you encounter rather than the location.
Those travelling to a church are heading to that location, a certain spot, what they may be unaware of is that it is the space the presence of God is in that changes them not the spot it's self.

When you pray go to your room
Our prayers should move us. Get some time alone.
Sometimes we question if our prayers move God, but I think our question should be 'do my prayers move me?'
It’s not how loud you are, but does your prayer move you?
- Shut the door behind you
Remove yourself from distractions, turn your phone onto flight mode
Jesus was tempted with distraction and He responded to satan
‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’Matthew 4:4
- Have Faith Without Doubt
Pray to your Father who is unseen Pray with a bold faith.
The definition of Faith: Noun: A stable state. and Verb: An active process. Matthew 8:28-34 Jesus cast out demons from a man. The demons believed that Jesus was the Son of God and yet they were unchanged. We believe in that Jesus is the Son of God and are changed by the outworking of our faith!
Direction matters.
Non believer are living one way, for salvation there has to be a directional shift.
Psalms 121:1-4 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? The Israelites asked themselves this while they where heading back to Jerusalem, as they turned around an obstacle in their journey they then saw Jerusalem. That's when they had the revelation - My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
2. The frequency of turning to God is important
Jews 3 times a day they prayed
Peter walked on water TOWARDS JESUS. He started sinking when he turned and looked away from Jesus but the Lord save him when he turned back and focused on Jesus again.
Hebrews 12:2 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Peter rode the waves of highs and lows while walking with Jesus. In Acts 10 while God called him to a new level, it was different but it was better. Let's be different in 2020 Let's be better.
