Jenny brought an amazing message on Mother's Day about spiritual mothers. Mothers are important, some of the most influential men in the bible, the story started with their mothers. Mothers have a gift in raising the next generation, of young women especially but also young men for that matter. So join us as Jenny challenges the church on not only importance of spiritual mothers in all stages of life, but being one. Will we mentor and give insight to those who need it or will we as the church let awkwardness and age barriers hold the flow of wisdom. This message is also applicable to men and young men as well. Our prayer is this message allows for us to step into the family and foundation of christ like never before. That the church would be made stronger, wiser and more loving through God's glory.

Easter the day our lord overcame the enemy and rose again. So often empty is a bad thing but that empty tomb gives hope. Our prayer is this message helps lead you to lord in his love and mercy.

At young adults last week we heard from Luke Winter as he delivered this sermon, Orbital Physics and Godliness. Our creator God made a lot more than just earth and us. There is an amazing universe out there and a lot to learn about. So join us as Luke draws some parallels between orbital Physics and Godliness. We do wish to warn you that the message did have a visual element. Luke presented this with Diagrams to explain the more scientific concepts. Our prayer is this message helps you draw closer to God and be inspired by the world that God created.
This week Pastor Tim Phipps delivered the second last sermon for the "devoted" sermon series, Devoted to Awe. This a great reminder and challenge for the church to be devoted to being in Awe of God and not letting our relationship with God be trivialised. As the church, we are called to worship and love God, for he is exactly that God. Our Prayer is this message inspires you to remember the importance of our creator, the majesty of the King.
Pastor Brad this week gave the congregation the money talk, out of transparency the church has been given the truth about the finances of the church. However, this stands as an amazing reminder to trust in God and to be good stewards of what we have as God has blessed us with what we have.
This week the devotion series addresses the vital area of prayer. Join Pastor Brad as we delve into the early church devotion to prayer and why we need to pray with the same devotion. Our prayer is this message brings you closer to christ, who loves you. So that we can be closer to the creator, redeemer and father so we may become more and more like him.
Unfortunately, the preacher that was meant to preach this week was unable to preach, so Brad introduced the church's connect groups. Here at Kalamunda, we value connection and community. So if you are interested in joining a connect group that meets throughout the week and meets to join in fellowship. Brad then goes into the importance of community and the need for biblical relationships to be fed into and to feed into other people's lives. We are sorry that the planned message isn't out and that there is a break in the devoted series. The preacher had a personal accident and is okay but couldn't deliver the message.Our prayer is this message empowers and encourages you to surround yourself with people who can support and love you.

Luke 5:37-39 New Wine Skins A Word for Kalamunda Church - God has new wine to pour out but we need to be new wineskins so that we are able to hold the wine. WE need to take off the old to put on the new - sometimes we like to preserve the old as it's more comfortable but God says to forget the former things - don;t dwell/camp there. Don;t let the past become a blockage for what he wants to do in us today.
We need to create a margin/space in our lives. To de-clutter. To leave room in the "outer courts" of our lives for Jesus to move in the lives of those around us.
We spend a lot of time on our "wrapping" - making it look good. But we are not our wrapping. It's not the whole you.
We are all being programmed - our heart is our hard drive. What we behold is what we become. But Psalm 46:10 tells us to CEASE striving - BE STILL and know that He is God.

God didn't purpose for us to be a dam, To just collect him. He wants us to open up the gates and to let him flow out so that all around us begins to grow and flourish.
