Cheri Fletcher's Story of Loss and Faith
In this heartfelt episode, Cheri reflects on how faith and a deep trust in God's plan have guided and supported her family through their sorrow.
She discusses her time away from podcasting and the connection between the last aired episode, The Unexpected Things That Happen When You Pray With Holy Expectations to NOW WHAT? When You Pray With Holy Expectations, but the Unexpected Happens!
Cheri will share how Deuteronomy 31:8 impacts her life! When she looks back on her experiences in the days and weeks leading up to their loss, as well as the emotional milestones that followed, she sees how God has gone before their family and never left them.
She will also introduce her unique, conversational grief cards that she designed to help her family and friends navigate the complexities of grief by fostering meaningful discussions.

What expectations do you have when you pray?
Is your heart watchful - anticipating His reply because you know He will come through - or do you just keep praying and hoping He will come through, but not really expecting much?
Sadly, I had placed my expectations in the wrong place and wondered why it felt like I lived in a perpetual Groundhog's Day.
It felt like no one could tell I'd been doing so much, yet I'd been doing everything, So I asked God why.
The answer?
I’d been doing everything!
Then, God asked me what I expected from Him.
What did I expect from God?
My prayers have changed -
GOD, I expect more. I expect YOU!
That is when the unexpected answers started coming!
One of the things that God did make clear was that I surrender this podcast for now.
Today is June 20th. I have been telling you that I will be taking a sabbatical, and in this episode, I will share why.
The best thing about podcasts is that they don’t disappear!
The 135 episodes I have already done are still there for you to enjoy and share.
During this time, it would be lovely to get to know you!
You can stay in touch with me by joining my email, where we can get to know each other better.
I will still be writing, continuing to blog, sharing devotionals, Spiritual Game Planning for upcoming events or situations, and updating on the direction God takes this ministry.
I’d love to know -

Isaiah 32:8 tells us that a noble man makes a noble plan, so he can stand on noble deeds.
If we aren't giving our young men noble plans and teaching them how to make them, how do we expect our sons to become men that stand on noble deeds?
As Father’s Day approaches, I chose a guest that would highlight one of the most important works that God has called Fathers to complete.
My guest, Dean Briggs, a father and stepfather to 7 boys, has carried the weight of this important mission heavily on his shoulders knowing that there are only a few brief years in which men can guide their sons into manhood.
Dean will share with us:
This book is a great resource for fathers looking for a fatherhood Spiritual Game Plan!
If you know someone who would enjoy this powerful rite-of-passage system for fathers and sons, be sure to share this and encourage them!
In our world, there has been a decline in outward manliness to the point where people say that chivalry is dead, but what makes up a “real man”?
In some cases, a man is defined as a "real man" based on his interests or hobbies, such as hunting, playing sports, grilling meat, fixing cars, and climbing mountains, but that is not the purpose of a man.
In this episode, my guest, Brant Hansen, talks us through the godly definition of men and God’s purpose for them.
Brant emphasizes that manhood is not about being the stereotypical manly or outdoorsman. He believes there should be a vision of masculinity that is beautiful and awesome rather than the toxic and domineering idea of masculinity.
He will share his thoughts on:
As we celebrate Father's Day this month, I wanted to devote this episode to the "real men" in our lives and offer some tips on how we can lift them up as wives, mothers, sisters, and mentors.
Can you think of a man in your life who might benefit from reaffirming his purpose?
Be sure to share and encourage them!
When unexpected events change the trajectory of our lives, we have a choice to make:
Do we overcome the unexpected, as the world recommends, or undergo it?
In this episode, Jillian Benfield talks about her experience finding out she was going to have a child with disabilities and her new book - The Gift of the Unexpected - Discovering Who We Were Meant to Be When Life Goes Off Plan.
She will help us break down the following:
God uses the unexpected to disorient us from a culture that values the prosperity gospel (control) and the American dream (achievement).
Through His surprising gifts, believers learn how to relate to others' pain and realize how valuable and significant they are.
Jillian wants you to know that - “No matter what you’re going through, you’re invited to open this gift: The Gift of the Unexpected!”
As a new mother, what questions did you receive the first few days after giving birth?
You are not alone if you were asked more questions about the baby than how you were.
Maybe we'll get a pat on the back or hear, "Good job, Mama!" But what we need is a “How are you?”!!
There is so much excitement around the birth of the new member of your family that people tend to overlook the major experience you have just gone through.
Rachael Elmore, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, shares her personal and professional experiences from her book A Mom Is Born: Biblical Wisdom and Practical Advice for Taking Care of Yourself and Your New Baby.
When she had her first baby, she wanted others to know that “the baby wasn’t the only one born that day—so was I.”
Rachael believes that not everyone needs therapy, but everyone can benefit from it.
In This Episode, She Will:
Being an empty nest mother, I understand if you don't think that this show is for you - But
I hope this message will be a resource you can use to help a young mom, use it as a gift for a daughter or daughter-in-law, or give you some grace if you missed out on these resources when you were experiencing postpartum.
How have you filled in these blanks?
“Someday” when I don’t have to ___________, then I will _________.
Like me, you might need more blanks!
Having finally reached my "someday," while I'm enjoying the things I've been looking forward to, I often think back on those days when I was doing all of those things I'd wished away and wish I had taken time to enjoy them.
As a young mother, I seemed to be navigating my life one task at a time. I daydreamed about a life I believed would be more fulfilling instead of being awake and in the moment.
During this episode, Anjuli Paschall describes what it's like to feel the underlying anxiety that you are missing out on the good life, to zone out, to swipe up, to be slimming down, to be working harder, and to spin in circles with the anxiety of not living life to the fullest.
That was something Anjuli wanted to change! Knowing she loved people fearlessly and walked with God faithfully.
In addition, she wants to believe that she is loved and even liked.
Anjuli is going to tell us how she discovered that the full life isn’t found by chasing it. It’s found by coming awake to it, and she wants you to live a soul-awake life too!
In your mothering journey, which books from children's classic literature do you turn to for help?
That one made me stop and think for a while. Of course, there are plenty of “how to” books for mothering. However, I had never considered looking back at my childhood stories... until now!
As moms, we face so many struggles and fears. Is what we're doing enough? How will our kids turn out? As we face these fears, we wonder what we can do.
My guest on this episode is Jennifer Pepito, a writer, and mother of seven! Despite her desire to raise a strong family, fear stole her joy as a mother.
Likewise, she has asked herself whether what she was doing was the right thing for her children.
Then, she discovered her joy in an unexpected place! It was in the pages of classic literature that she read aloud to her children every day.
Through these stories, she restored the wonder of childhood to both herself and her children.
As Jennifer explains in her book, Mothering by the Book, we can use those lessons to overcome our fears.
Jennifer will share lessons from three of my favorite classics:
"Becoming a better, happier mom starts with the stories you tell your kids.”
Hello, I’m Cheri Fletcher
I would love to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to every woman who has a mothering or a mentoring role in someone’s life.
I'm glad you're here if you’re new to my page.
And if you’ve been around here a while, you know that I love reminding you that -
YOUR ROLES IN LIFE WILL CHANGE - BUT YOUR PURPOSE IS ETERNAL.
Today, I will share my journey as a mom and how I struggled for years to feel like I was nothing more than my role.
I pray that by sharing God's plan for me and the plot that the enemy used to try and stop it, you’ll be surprised why being "Just" the mother God made you be is actually such high praise!
Suppose you stopped worrying about what others might think if they heard you pray. How would your prayer life change?
There is no doubt that prayer is for God and that He desires a personal relationship with us!
For Amy Hale, that was the point where her relationship with Him deepened.
By studying the Word and drawing closer to God, she has come to share her insights and passion for daily Bible reading with others.
“I don't want others to spend most of their lives not knowing how powerful and life-giving it is!”
In this episode, Amy will share how her prayer life has grown stronger and more consistent after studying specific prayers from the lives of Abraham and Jesus Himself.
She will discuss fundamental key principles she learned, illustrate how she applied them, and then leave us with a challenge to flip the narrative of the enemy!
We can see significant changes when we take God’s Word and apply even the little things to our lives.
Great changes are taking place every moment of every day, but are the prayers of God’s people keeping up?
This is a question that Reverend Randy Maxwell asks in his book, Closing Prayers; Facing the final crisis on our knees.
Randy is a good friend of mine, and during one of my trips back to Washington, I was blessed to hear a sermon he gave from this book.
The moment he began his sermon with an analogy of our current earthly time as a 4th quarter in a game, I pulled out my phone and hit record!
I didn’t want to miss one word.
As we make every effort to finish strong in the last quarter, we pull out all the stops.
In Randy's question, he asks whether we pray as if we were aware that we are in the final quarter of human history.
In this episode, Reverand Maxwell will share why it is time to pray the right prayers at the right time, in the right way, and for the right reason, and how we do that!
Then he will discuss the 5 ways we should be praying in light of the times in which we live right now.
God uses forgiven human beings precisely because they have been forgiven. We know what it’s like to be weak and what it’s like to break our promises, what it’s like to doubt, and what it’s like to mess up and do stupid things. The angels don’t.
Listen in for a powerful episode on prayer and the answer to the ONE thing that stands between us and the change we seek!
In what area do you need to trust that God has good and delightful surprises in store for you?
Some of the best discussions I have with God are when I’m taking a walk. The fresh air clears the fog from my brain, the sounds of nature drown out the perpetual to-do list in my head, and I can appreciate the beauty that God provides all around me.
It is as though He shows me something new every day and every season to remind me of His presence. It is easy for me to lose sight of how God has provided in the past and forget that His plans are far better than my own.
I often find myself praying for God to bless my will and forget to stop and listen for His.
Today I will be talking with Sarah Geringer about her latest book. - Hidden Manna on a Country Road: Seeing God’s Daily Provision All Around Us.
In 2020, she discovered many prayer prompts on her property while walking her dogs.
Everywhere she looked, she saw reasons to pray, much like the manna God provided Israel in the wilderness. The metaphors she saw in the seasons are so inspiring and helped add to my own prayer life.
Even if we have practiced our faith for years, prayer can be a mystery to us.
But God has hidden prayer prompts right outside our doors in nature. As you uncover their spiritual truths, these treasures can inspire deeper connections with God.
How would things be different if you trusted God as He asked you to start, endure, or even quit a “thing”?
So often, we let the “what if” of fear stop us from taking those first steps.
The "thing" God has called us to do requires a strong plan to deal with obstacles the enemy places in our way.
In this episode, guest Rebecca George is going to share her personal experience of pursuing goals with grace and confidence through prayer and a lot of gumption!
As she discusses, tethering ourselves to Him every day is what truly transforms our lives, and that begins with being in His word, walking in community, and with a constant attitude of prayer.
This is also the launch day for Rebecca’s first book:
Do the Thing: Gospel-Centered Goals, Gumption, and Grace for the Go-Getter Girl!
With God's Word as your compass, you have the opportunity to take a courageous step today.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word boundaries?
My friend Leslie Newman asked this question in our writer's group, and she received a variety of answers.
My answer was protection, both for the other person and me.
Having learned the benefits of setting grace-filled boundaries, Leslie loves helping others do the same.
“Setting boundaries is an emotional process, and it has to start with me first, especially when facing a difficult situation, potential conflict, and difficult conversations.” Leslie
Leslie wants us to know that boundaries are Biblical. They are a bridge designed by God to bring us together, not always to separate us.
In this episode, she will explain her unique approach to setting boundaries without shame and how boundaries can actually rejuvenate us.
I would love to hear what word comes to your mind when you hear the word boundary!
When was the last time you avoided a difficult conversation with someone just to get their approval?
Did it ever get resolved?
Having difficult conversations with those you care about is part of life, so it's better to prepare ahead of time.
In my conversation with Lori, she shares that our avoidance of an issue and not facing the hard conversation actually causes the disconnection we are trying to avoid in our relationships.
According to Lori, there are three ways for a conversation to go wrong:
With Lori’s game plan, my prayer is that you can be better prepared the next time you need to have a difficult conversation by being your authentic self.
How different would your next family gathering, work day, or neighborhood picnic be if everyone chose to celebrate or weep with each other before trying to convince, correct, or lobby for their agendas?
Jesus never said that getting along would be easy, especially loving one another. But He did call us to do it.
Becky Keife, from (in)Courage, joins me in this episode to discuss the book, Come Sit With me, How to Delight in Differences, Love through Disagreements, and Live with Discomfort.
The book features Becky's story, as well as 26 other women from all walks of life who discuss friendship across religious and political differences, putting people over positions and forgiving before or without apology.
Relationships are hard, and we hope that today we can give you some tools to help navigate through some of those tensions and leave you with grace-filled learning moments.
What keeps you from extending comfort within your community?
When I asked my friends that question, there was a common thread in their answers. It was “un” comfortable and it causes “dis” comfort.
Did you know there's a reason for it? There is someone behind that reason!
We were created to be in communion with each other and to be in unity - Community - but the enemy will do anything to keep us from it.
Today in this solo episode, I will share some examples of how God has created us to comfort others and restore community.
In fact, you may ALREADY be doing it AND even enjoying it!
What is holding you back from experiencing joy?
Joy should be one click away, as self-care and getaways are more accessible than ever before.
Yet the search for happiness and joy continues to be a popular topic.
My guest Yvette Babs Walker knows all about wanting to experience joy and wondering when she would find it.
She will talk about a time when she believed in God but felt numb in her faith. She knows what it’s like to be a seeker instead of a believer.
Yvette will share her experience of that season as well as what awakened her faith and how we can learn:
If your life is empty, Yvette wants to help you fill it with the joy of the Lord!
Do you ever wonder why so many of our best memories and most cherished relationships involve food?
When my kids are going to come home, they will request their favorite meals and desserts. Making it for them warms my heart as their mom!
Why is that? Could it be a design decision rather than a default one?
There are numerous references in the bible to food, feeding and nourishing God's people, and the feasts God wants to prepare for us.
God's gift of food is to be enjoyed in every sense, in our home's environment, in preparation, and in bringing family members together.
“God never just fills our bellies. He fills our homes. He fills our hearts.”
Erin Davis
But with every gift that God gives, the enemy will attach shame to it.
In this episode, I will talk with Erin Davis about her new book Fasting & Feasting, 40 Devotions to Satisfy the Hungry Heart.
She will show how God's Word celebrates food as a gift while inviting us to surrender our lives in every area.
Instead of yo-yo-ing between loving and hating food, Erin invites us to accept Scripture's invitation into a different, nourishing, and refreshing rhythm.
Erin’s approach to Fasting and Feasting will change how you experience and cherish the voice of God!
When was the last time you said to yourself, “I just want to be happy”?
How can one truly be happy?
I think if happiness were obtainable by our human ability, we would have stopped chasing after it by now.
Happiness is an emotion that changes and often relies on what is happening around us, our personal relationships, and our heart's desires.
In this episode, Tricia Goyer and I discuss her book Heart Happy, Staying Centered in God's Love Through Chaotic Circumstances.
Tricia is going to share how to:
rest in Him, and that's where true happiness is found.
If you are ready to rise above the chaos and find some practical application from a mom of 10 who gets it - then listen in!
Happy Valentines Day
Is there a time when your heart felt heavy because of difficult circumstances?
Focusing on what I can't handle can feel like my heart is heavy and full of despair.
When times like these came, I would escape to our family cabin in Oregon. I called it my Happy Place.
My heart would feel lighter when I turned down the road to the cabin. Observing the stars under the vast sky, I felt encouraged knowing God, my Creator, created me and cared for me!
Being states away from my family cabin now, I can't go there to escape. Nevertheless, I must remain mindful to keep calming my heart and resting like I did when I was there.
In this episode, I will talk to Marci Seither about her book Lakeside Retreat - Live Giving Devotions from a Restful Shore.
Through storytelling, recipes, games, and even some survival tips, Marci will take us to that cabin, to that happy place.
You are invited to join us at the cabin and:
Join Marci and me by the lake, and let me know how you plan to rest!

January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
“There are plenty of awareness months and days dedicated to various causes. Some get a lot of attention; some pass by relatively unnoticed. People in slavery deserve attention. They deserve to have a voice. And you have a powerful one through your social media.” Paula Cornell - Love Justice
This quote was from a recent blog post on the Love Justice website, where you can read stories of real people whose monitors prevented them from completing their slavery journey.
It is estimated that 50 million people are trapped in slavery today. Most often, this happens when people are offered an opportunity they can't refuse.
In this episode, I will talk to Briony Fickling, who works for Love Justice as Regional Steward for Southern African countries.
She will share her journey working with Love Justice as they work to:

Where were you the first time you felt overlooked, dismissed, or forgotten?
It is a feeling that stays with us. Maybe you worked hard on a project without receiving any thanks, shared an idea only to have it ignored, or have been simply forgotten about.
In this episode, I will be speaking with Shadia Hrichi and her study of the life of Tamar.
Tamar was mistreated, widowed twice, betrayed, and used as a prostitute.
It seemed impossible that God could redeem her story, but His plan of redemption was prewritten for all eternity-and nothing can get in His way.
We're going to chat about:
Through our experiences and through the stories and experiences we read about in the bible we learn more about who God is. How he never abandoned them, and He never abandons us!
Each one of us is noticed by God, and he cares.

I love hearing your stories and knowing how I can pray for you.
What is your first reaction when you think of a child wanting their art displayed?
Maybe you remember being that child and having your masterpiece displayed.
A smile spreads across the artist's face when the piece is placed under the magnetic clip or framed for all to see.
When I moved to Cleveland, I met a young lady whose passion is displaying and selling masterpieces made by the hands of extraordinary ladies in our community.
Today I am excited to introduce you to my friend and city neighbor Hailey Johnston.
Hailey is the founder and CEO of Project Free 2 Fly.
Her story and mission drew me in, and now I am honored to be a small part of her program.
Hailey works with rehabilitation programs in the area to identify women ready to move from recovery to sustainable life. She hires women and teaches them the skills they need to manufacture the products sold in the shop and online.
Free 2 Fly acts as a bridge between recovery and sustainability.
We will talk about how sewing teaches these ladies:
And much more!
I was so moved by Hailey's love for these women and for being part of God's redeeming story in their lives!
Who has God called you to share His love with lately?
When she was only twenty-three years old, Rachelle Starr started going to strip clubs to share Christ’s love with the dancers. Having founded a Christian ministry to people in the adult entertainment industry, she demonstrates the key to shining Christ’s light into the darkness–love people one at a time and continue to love them no matter what.
In this episode, Rachelle will share how:

When was the last time you felt a strong desire for revenge when you were wronged?
Our human nature is to want an ear for an ear and an eye for an eye. God says vengeance belongs to Him because He comes to redeem what has been taken.
As this is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, I can safely say that it both hurts and angers God to see His children hurt each other.
In this episode, I will be sharing:
We are commissioned, in the Bible, to defend the weak and oppressed. I pray that you are inspired to look for ways that you can help those in your community that need to see Jesus.
If you are willing, share your answer to my question, leave a comment or email me at Cheri@cherifletcher.com.
I love hearing your stories and knowing how I can pray for you.
When was a time in your life when God seemed to have vanished?
The end of one year and the start of another can leave us wondering where God even is and what will happen next.
Some of us make resolutions, hoping for certainty and something to fall back on when everything is spinning out of control.
My goal next year is to join forces with Queen Esther in seeing our invisible God amid uncertainty.
In this episode, I will talk with Amy Carroll and Lynn Cowell about their new Bible study, Esther: Seeing Our Invisible God in an Uncertain World.
Amy and Lynn walk us through a three-step Bible study method for seeking answers in uncertain times.
Like Esther, we too can:
In the Bible, Esther is a book many people don't explore deeply. However, if we look at Esther's hardships, we realize that she faces some trials that we can relate to, even today.

How can you remind yourself that He is still with you and for you?
Can you recall the last time you decided not to spend time with God just because you didn't "have enough time ”?
It’s so easy to feel the pull to draw closer to God even while feeling like a failure because you can’t do “enough” or figure out a way to deepen your relationship.

In which relationships do you feel God is encouraging you to build a bridge of forgiveness?

When was the last time you felt exhausted from a day’s work only to have a friend or family member say, "Hey would you mind helping me with...?"
If anyone understands that feeling, it would be Jesus, after 24 hours of meeting the needs of his followers.
Today I’m talking to Rachel Lovingood, a friend from my new hometown. Rachel and I take walks together.
During one of our walks, we shared all that we had going on in our lives.
When I told her that the needs of others kept being added to my list, interrupting what I needed to do and how tired I was, she shared some insight into a day in the life of Jesus that changed my perspective.
I invited Rachel over to sit down and join me on the podcast so that it could bless you as well.
Jesus shows us by example, in Mark 6, that we need to find our strength and renewal from God and look differently at interruptions.
Have you ever felt like the rug was pulled out from underneath you? Maybe you have brushed things under the rug and it is easier to leave them alone.
We all have stories of trauma and sin we’d like to keep hidden, swept neatly beneath the rug. It’s part of living in a fallen world. But God wants to set us free from that bondage. When we do the difficult work of examining our own stories, he graciously lifts up the rug little by little to gently help us heal. Read More...

It is one thing to be lied to, but it is another thing to lie to ourselves because we want to avoid something. So, what is it that we are avoiding and how is that lie keeping us from living the life Jesus created for us?
Today I am so excited to have Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith back on the podcast to talk about her new book, “Set Free to Live Free - Breaking Through the 7 Lies Women Tell Themselves.”
She explains that mental lies are like bacteria that have gained access through an open wound, and that it is time to start treating it!
The Seven Lies Women Tell Themselves are: * Perfection * Envy * Image * Balance * Control * Emotions * Limits
I will look at the lie I struggle with the most, LIMITS. Dr. Saundra explained to me that I limit what I ask God for based on what I think I deserve. - OUCH! She also shares 5 stages of freedom within each of the lies!
Dr. Saundra leaves us with a Free Woman’s Creed and invites us to become a member of the Diamond Society, giving us the special criteria!
You won’t want to miss it!
Is there a lie that you want to be freed from?
Do you make New Year resolutions or do you choose a word of the year?
I know I used to make resolutions that looked beautiful on paper but faded away after a few months. I now choose a word of the year and a Bible verse, and this year I chose the word “restore” and Isaiah 40:31.
“But those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength; they
will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become
weary, they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
In today’s episode, I process how I use my word of the year. I apply my word daily by asking these questions:
As we step into a new season and a new year, I pray that when the enemy comes to throw you off your game, you remember to pull out your game-winning card and claim your promises.
This will take strategy and a real game plan. Maybe even a word of the year or a specific verse can give you the focus you're looking for.
What is your word this year? I would love to know as we journey through 2022 together!
FREEDOM!
As a teenager, I couldn’t wait to leave home and finally have “my freedom.”
When I finally got the freedom I thought was out there in the real world, I discovered something I hadn’t expected: my freedom came with a lot of responsibility.
I began longing to go back home where my parents took care of the responsibilities — especially at Christmas.
Like me, God’s children wanted their freedom. They, too, quickly learned that life outside of the protection of home was not what they'd expected.
In the final episode of this 4-part series, I’m excited to explore how much God is longing to welcome us back home.
Ever since Adam and Eve left Eden, at the very core of God’s plan for Christmas has been His desire for us to be back home in heaven with Him.
For the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!

What kind of gift-receiver are you?
Do you receive a gift with gratitude? Do you use it with the enthusiasm that the giver anticipated when selecting that gift — just for you?
It’s just over a week until Christmas, and I can hardly wait to have my kids home and watch them open the gifts that I have picked out for them.
Of course, we all know that the reason for the season is the ultimate gift: Jesus. And I also believe that God enjoys our enjoyment as we watch our loved ones open the gifts we've given them.
In today’s episode I talk about how we can joyously unwrap the gifts that God gives us and use them to worship Him.

‘Home for the holidays’ – whether we go home or our family members come home – is the heart's deepest desire of the season.
Today and the next three weeks, I’ll be sharing God’s Plan For The Best Christmas Ever.
This Episode starts with excitement of Jesus' birth.
The pages of the Bible can hardly contain all the excitement around the birth of Christ: the angels singing, the shepherds in shock, the star shining the glory, and the wise men traveling, all part of the story that I remember picturing as a child.
As a mother, I love how we are told in Luke 2:18-19 that all who heard were amazed at what the shepherds told them.
But Mary was treasuring up all these things in her heart and meditating on them.
Today I will share a fresh perspective on the word treasure.
To treasure something is to keep it from perishing.
For God Treasured you so much, He sent His son!

I am so excited to have my friend Amy Connell back on the show as we celebrate the launch of her first book: Your Worthy Body: Finding Freedom In Health by Breaking All The Rules.
Amy’s message of loving the body that God gave you and being able to break the rules that society tells us are for a one size fits all has been the grace I need to give myself.
She wants to share that as agape love is unconcerned with self and concerned with the greatest good for another, our idea of health should be less concerned with how we look and more concerned with being physically equipped to love others.

As the holiday parties are approaching, I hope that Amy’s message is the gift you need to give yourself that grace and the agape love to be who God created you to be and love the body He made, because it is worthy of it!
I love November. This month of gratitude is my favorite of the year. In fact, gratitude is my word of the year for 2021. After all my family went through in 2020, I’ve had a lot to be thankful for in 2021.
I started my year of gratitude with a gift from a good friend, a beautiful Christmas ornament accompanying a card that read “Gratitude enables our hearts to tell a better story.”
There are many ways you can let someone know what they do, what they give, or what they say to you, made a difference for you. and letting them know is a gift in and of itself.
I want to stop today and say thank you to you, the listeners. Thank you for taking the time to give me the gift of your kind words.
I have my share of hard days, and whenever a comment, an email, a message, or a review comes through, I’m reminded of God’s love working through my listeners.
In this episode I will read a few of those comments as my way of saying thank you, and to let you know that I do read your words.
As we begin the holiday season, continue to give the gift of gratitude.
Be the person who stops to let someone know that what they did, what they said, or simply who they are to you has made a difference.
I know that your gratitude will enable the hearts of everyone involved to tell a better story.
Thanks again!

I’ve been stuck in my prayer time lately. I know God hears me, and I know He already knows the desires of my heart. That’s my problem: it feels like I’m playing the same recorded prayer every day over and over.
There are times when I genuinely think that praying for a miracle is too much to ask. I tend to think God knows what I want, and He knows how to perform a miracle… but what I am asking for is impossible.
If you’ve ever found yourself thinking these same thoughts, I hope you find some answers in this episode.
I am talking with Amy Joob about her prayer devotional: Unstuck Step into the New: A 40 Day Prayer Journal.
Amy shares personal stories and verses that have helped her. She also asks thought-provoking questions that will help you break free from all the areas where we can feel stuck in our walk with God.
Amy will outline the steps to getting unstuck so that you can move forward into the new that God has for you and wants to give you.
In this episode, I will be talking with Radio Host and Worship Ministry Consultant Donna Renay Patrick about the importance of praise and worship.
Praise and worship is the thing the enemy hates the most. He goes to great lengths to keep us from praising God.

What we might have missed in all this is that there are many more ways to praise than singing.
She will tell us that there are only two places that you can praise God: ANYWHERE & EVERYWHERE!
Donna will open our minds to how intentional worship can transform not only the leadership in our church but also the calling in our lives.
In this episode, Sue Donaldson will share her passion for connecting people. She will explain that simply meeting with others and listening to them is mentoring them. Do that around a table with cups of coffee and some brownies and you have what Sue calls table mentoring, where we can draw others to who God really is.
Sue will share that the heart of mentoring is:
When we open up to others, it prompts them to open up to God.

What does confidence mean?
If I could simply take control of my confidence, wouldn't I have it by now? But we were not created to lean on our own understanding.
This episode, I will share three quotes I found on self-confidence and compare them to what the Bible tells us.
When I don’t believe in my abilities, don’t want others to know who I am, and don’t like myself most days, these quotes make confidence seem impossible.
I am so glad I have a creator that tells me to look to Him and that with Him all things are possible.

Would you trust how you looked if you woke up and got ready for your day without relying on a mirror?
I know I wouldn’t – I rely on a mirror all day, checking for hairs out of place, something in my teeth, and making sure what I’m wearing is well-adjusted and covering what it should.
Just like using a mirror can keep us in check, relying on God's word keeps us in check by reminding us of areas that we need to clean up every day.

Is consistently reading your Bible sometimes a struggle?
Do you ever feel like you aren’t getting as much out of your time immersed in the Word as you might like?
As busy Christian women, there are many obstacles in our lives that can keep us from reading the Bible.
For me, it is feeling distracted or too tired.
For others it is busyness or lack of motivation.
The enemy has many tactics to keep us from spending time in the Word in order to keep us from falling in love with our Father.
In this episode my guest Brittany Ann wants to show you how to read your Bible consistently and truly enjoy your time in God's Word. will walk us through:

Do you resonate with these statements?
With everything that keeps us so busy, transitions in our lives and roles that are changing or ending, maximizing seems like one more thing to work on.
What are you busy with that keeps you believing that who you are is lost in what you are doing?
Today, I'm going solo. In this episode, I want to share with you why our definition of "maximizing our lives" might be the very thing sabotaging our belief that it's even possible.

In this episode, I will be talking with Bethany Howard. She will confirm that when it comes to living out the purpose God has placed in you, permission has already been granted.
Bethany was the very first person I ever interviewed on a FaceBook Live and for that interview she wrote a special poem for my audience titled 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫.
She will read her poem and share the joy we can experience when we fully surrender to the permission we have been granted.

God created us as reflections of Him. The plot of the enemy was to tell us we needed to be even better – maybe even reflect someone else.

Even though pregnancy and infant loss are common, society shrouds them in secrecy and even shame—starving grieving women and their partners of much-needed support.
Women may leave the hospital feeling like strangers in their own bodies, facing postpartum life without a baby in their arms. And the well-intentioned but hurtful comments from loved ones may make them feel lonelier than ever.
Listen in as Rachel Lewis helps you create a game plan for when a situation arises that can trigger the trauma of your loss.

𝐋𝐨𝐬𝐬, 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 & 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲
Rachel, the founder of the Brave Mamas online support group, is the friend bereaved mothers never hoped to need—giving them the practical guide she wished for after each of her five losses. With raw transparency and no pat answers.
She helps readers navigate how the loss of a child can affect body, heart, mind, and soul.
Staying busy is easy. Staying rested, now that is the real challenge.
In this episode, Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith will discuss the seven types of REST that we need and the method R.E.S.T as a systematic way of looking at each type.
She will remind us that '𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀.'
So often we only use the Bible as a tool for direction, but God wants us to use it as a love letter as well. He wants us to not only know that we are loved, but He wants us feel like you are His beloved!
It is Dr. Saundra's desire that you stop and look at how much He loves us! Look how intentional He is with His love!
Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith
In this episode I will be talking with Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith about her own understanding of rest and why it is so sacred.
Dr. Saundra shares:
*Her personal story of when she was fully burned out, telling God she can’t do this anymore and that she was JUST DONE
*How God was rearranged her theology of what peace looks like
*That she needed to re evaluate what a good life looks like and feels like
Our rest is under attack we need a Spiritual Game Plan to carve out time for Sacred Rest!
Join me as I talk with Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith about how important rest is in understanding how to live out our purpose, Part 1.
Join me as I talk with Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith about how important rest is in understanding how to live out our purpose.
When is the last time you chose to rest?
To be quiet and trust in God?
To let Him restore you?
God knew that we would struggle and resist rest. That is why He reminds us to stop and rest. In fact He set an example for us.
He rested from His creative work.
He stopped and gave us the gift of rest and He still invites us to return to rest.
In this episode I share my own struggle with rest and the time when I was forced to stop.
During this time I was able to accept the invitation to rest and to understand what it means to be still and know that He is God.
I will share:
I know that you will be blessed by the lessons learned during the time that God - forced me to stop.
I have come to know that either He is Exalted, or I am Exhausted.

When you take a moment to look back through your life, how far back can you go to see the same purpose you are living today in who you have always been?
When you are looking back over the years, look for key people God placed in your path that He has used to bless you and show you His love for you.
I am sharing one of those moments in today’s episode. Listen in as I take a look back and retell how, at the age of 16, I met my now-friend and coach Cheri Gregory. That one-minute exchange planted a seed that God would grow for 30 years until we met again.
Cheri Gregory was the person who challenged me to share what I was writing. I did not consider myself a writer – I was looking at those who had been published or paid to speak. I disqualified myself from God’s calling.
Do you ever find yourself disqualifying yourself from the calling God has given you?
HOW WE MIGHT DISQUALIFY OURSELVES:
I hope today’s episode causes you to stop and reflect on all of the ways God has already equipped you to live your calling.

It is June! I hope that as things are opening up, your plans for the summer are too. I am extra excited about June because it is the one-year birthday for Your Spiritual Game Plan podcast! 🎂
I can't believe so much has happened in one year, but I can believe in God’s plan. Thank you for being here with me through it all – for all of the comments and letters of support that you have sent me. Your feedback helps me not only serve you the best I can, but it also helps me to grow.
This summer I am going to mix it up a little. I am going to take to heart the words that God spoke to me through two close friends - each at a different time.
In a nutshell what my two friends said to me was, “Cheri, we want to hear your thoughts on your podcast.”
They both admitted to not listening to many episodes because I did not share enough of my point of view.
So I am going to spend the summer sharing more of my thoughts with you.

Can you think of a phrase – or even a few words – that changed your life?
In this episode, I am speaking with Cindy Bultema as she shares the four words that changed the trajectory of her life. Those four words are still changing lives each time she shares them with others.
Cindy had hit rock bottom and almost lost her life to a drug overdose when she called a lady for help. That lady spoke the four words to her, and she did not shame Cindy, throw a Bible verse at her, or recommend a program. She simply called her by name and spoke Truth (with a capital T) into Cindy’s life.
Today Cindy wants to speak Truth into your life, and into the lives that God places in her path.

Doris Swift knows firsthand what it is like to feel disqualified from living out God’s calling. A teenage pregnancy had her believing that God could no longer use her and kept her living in regret.
As Doris grew even closer to God through the story of the women at the well, she realized that her mistakes had already been redeemed – even before she made them.
She is now incredibly passionate about helping other women find that same experience: not to edit out the parts of our lives that we may regret, but to use them to help others know God wants to use all of who they are.

Dear Mom,
God has a purpose for your child and they already have a role in His plan! If you are walking in faith and making it a part of your day, then you can rest in the understanding that you are not going to ruin that plan.
This is the message that I hope you hear as I talk to Michelle Watson.
Michelle encourages us not to put Jesus at the root of our lives, but to make Him the root. She believes that there is a difference between flavoring things with Jesus and baking him in!
She emphasized that we need to make him the meal.
Sharing the gospel starts at home, with our children and our neighbors.
Mom's, we are sharing the gospel by making God a part of our everyday life, even the mundane- Jesus is infused in all of the stuff.

Have you ever read the bible through the stories of an immigrant?
In this episode, Karen Gonzalez is sharing her immigration story and stories of immigrants found in the Bible.
Throughout Scripture there are many examples of people who fled their homelands - Hagar, Joseph, Ruth, and even Jesus.
The courage, loss, joy, and pain has never gone unnoticed by “The God Who Sees” and they don’t go unnoticed now.
Karen believes that we do not get our view of migration from the bible, we get it from society, family, peers and even churches.
Being an immigrant Karen loves to bring awareness to the fact that the stories we read in Bible are about immigrants and God's love and protection over them.
She will tell you that the question about immigration is so much about belonging and that Jesus transcends all these cultures, all of these borders!
Listen in as Karen shares the story biblical immigrants like Abraham, Joseph and Ruth.

In this episode I'm talking with Susy Flory.
Susy is a New York Times bestselling author and co-author. As a breast cancer survivor, Susy celebrates life by chasing great stories in places like Cuba, Haiti, Turkey, Israel, Ireland, and her own backyard.
Susy loves to help people tell their stories: "Your story matters; you can’t compare it to others’! Get it out and get it down because God has a plan for it! Even a line, a phrase or idea or word picture can stay with someone for the rest of their lives and be a comfort - a light and message from God. What a cool thing to carry a message from God!!" There are days I just don't want to deal with what’s going on.
When it feels like there’s too much going on around me to focus, family sickness, community needs, taxes to file, and the never ending house care, it’s easy to wish I could simply not care.
When those times come my guest Amy Carroll would ask me - "do you run to the throne or do you run to the phone?"
Often we turn to someone to deal or we turn to something to dull before we turn to God.
Listen in and Amy will give us a simple thing to do when we don't want to face bad emotions.

In this episode I will be talking with Summer Gordon.
Summer is a wife, mother, author, and speaker whose passion is to help others look beyond life’s trying circumstances and fix their eyes on Christ.
The Gordon family suffered a tragic loss when their 5 year old son was hit and killed by someone they knew.
I will be talking with Summer about the book her and her husband Reppard wrote called: Hope Remains: Seeing The Goodness of God In The Shadow Of Suffering.
It is a transparent story of loss, love, forgiveness, and the unshakeable goodness of God.
Summer will share how it can be easy to park in our pain. But God wants us to live intentionally and shift our thinking from park to drive. He has so much for us up ahead, including a new life with those we have lost.
God wants us to fully understand that this is not all there is. There is so much more.
Could it be that we are looking in the wrong direction?
Divorce is a very hard and raw topic, especially in the Christian circle.
It is a situation that dissolves and divides and leaves those who go through it alone feeling forsaken.
Even if it is called amicable, there is destruction that needs to be addressed.
My guest Sarah Geringer knows the pain all too well and has turned her hurt into a ministry of healing.
Sarah says, “A child has their own grief journey that they have to go through after a divorce. We need help in the language of grieving.”
In this episode she will share her experience as a child of divorce and the effects that has had on her adult life as well.
She has turned her hurt into a ministry to help others find healing. She wants us to look to God’s word for answers instead of turning from God.
If you are an adult child of divorce, are divorced yourself or have divorce in your extended family, this episode will help to give you comfort and understanding.

How do you identify when God is on the move and what is a Kairos moment?
A kairos moment occurs when God moves, we respond and everything changes. When the Holy Spirit is present and moving in a person, a situation, or a group to accomplish specific work for the glory of God.
In this episode I will talking with Julie Holmquist, the host of Kairos Moments Podcast. She will share a moment when she was the recipient of a kairos moment herself.
Julie will remind you that: * Looking at your history with God will give you the confidence to obey His calling * We can not put on someone else’s armor * We can not walk in someone else’s anointing. * Our calling is right in front of us
What do we do when the plans we have don't meet our own expectations?
When things are shaken and fall apart?
When disappointments that we face break our hearts?
Do we try to put everything back the way it was so no none can see, or do we take the time to rearrange - remodel?
Kristie Christie and I will talk about when our perfectly planned lives don’t match our realities. When real life disappoints us and interrupts our plans, often our desire to take control gets in the way of the abundant life Jesus invites us into. We set up plans and arrange our lives to achieve maximum comfort, but when those plans don’t turn out and what we have arranged is shaken, we have an opportunity for God to do some remodeling.
Kristie shares her answer to 'when our Barbie Dreamhouse endures an earthquake.'

God has a mission for you and has prepared people for you to impact – but that can only truly be lived out by letting go of who you are not.
My guest, Avery Forrest, has had the same struggle. When she heard a message on being ok with who you are not, it opened her eyes to how much time she had wasted trying to live out her calling in the way that God had given someone else to live out theirs.
Our identity in Christ is so complex and you can find such freedom when you are good with you!
Many women live with anticipation—but also great anxiety—about what the future may bring. So they work hard to stay one step ahead of their worst-case scenarios.
While they’re focused on arranging a secure tomorrow, their fear strangles the peace, joy, and purpose from today.
With the Proverbs 31 woman as a guide, Katy McCown takes readers on a five-week journey to discover how to find security in God’s plans and confidence in His control.
Katy will share 5 principles that she uses as tools to help her with the fears that try to strangle her peace.
Being a woman God can bless is a desire that my guest Sharon Norris Elliott wants to empower us to be. She explains that we are definitely bless-able, but often we take ourselves out of alignment with God's blessings. In this episode Sharon will share the message from her book A Woman God Can Bless and explore your identification with or participation in based on Ephesians 4:17-32.
What To Take Put On & What To Take Off * Speaking edifying words vs. corrupt communication * Truth-telling vs. lying * Exercising restraint vs. anger
I know you will be blessed by Sharon's down to earth advice, humor and huge heart as she challenges us to invite the Holy Spirit into the circle as we have the hard conversations. To be willing to abandon everything that does not line up with the Truth of God’s word.

What is a spiritual game plan and why do you need one right now?
A spiritual game plan is having a strategy for when the enemy comes after the very purpose God placed in you.
It is a defensive play, if you will. Fully putting on the armor that we read about in Eph 6 and having a plan that we can call upon.
Why? Because to fully live out the purpose God has placed in you, you have to understand that:
God has a plan but the enemy has a plot
His plot is very specific and he goes after the very way God intends to use you.
When your purpose is under attack you can often ask yourself if what you are doing is even relevant.
If you matter, or like I believed for so long, 'I am nothing more than.'
I am passionate about helping you fully embrace that you are exactly who God needs you to be.
This podcast is for women who are in those transitional seasons, or whose plans have been interrupted and believe that their relevance is lost.
Listen in as I share how God helped me understand that I am a lot more than Just A stay at home mom, I am more than just a....
I am a Masterpiece created to do the good things He planned for me long ago! (Eph 2:10)

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you lost out on something you could have gained by simply listening?
Have you been "listening" to someone, yet you are waiting to share your opinion?
Today Amy Carroll will share how she learned that when she shares an unsolicited opinion that it can actually block God’s revelation.
Amy and I will discuss 4 lessons on how to listen and then use our voice with a tender heart.
Have you ever wondered who you were created to be?
Both Kris Reece – my guest – and I sure have. The enemy loves for us to believe that we are lost and have to find out who we are on our own. But our Father tells us that we are His and we were created to do the good work that He has planned for us.
In this episode Kris will share 3 ways that God calls you into your purpose.
Listen and please let me know which of the three He has used on you!
If you’re an “empty nest” or “close to the empty nest” parent, listen in!
I have had a hard time going from what I needed to do when they were younger to doing what I need to do now that they are adults.
In episode 116 Jill Savage and I covered the first 3 of 6 Things Every Empty Nest Parent Needs To Let Go Of.
In this episode we explore the last three.
𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏'𝒔 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒔
𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑶𝒘𝒏 𝑰𝒅𝒐𝒍𝒔
𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒕
Letting go has been one of the hardest parts of parenting for me. I used to think the toddler stage was hard! I was so accustomed to calling the shots in my kids lives (after all I've done that for 18 years) that letting them go was particularly difficult.
I wish I had had a game plan before the time came! So whether you are a seasoned empty nester, new to empty nest or your nest is still full, my time with Jill Savage will give you the tools you need and the sympathetic shoulder you want.
In this episode we explore three of the six things every empty nest parent needs to let go of: Expectation, Opinions, Traditions
The enemy observes you, everything about you and he know exactly where to get in your head. It is not where he gets into mine. He is strategic and customizes his attack just for you, and just for me. We are in a day to day, minute by minute spiritual battle, but we have the upper hand.
Today’s guest is Courtnaye Richard. We are talking about Ephesians 6 and the spiritual game plan that God has.
Courtnaye reminds us that: “𝗔𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲, 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗯𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁. 𝗛𝗲’𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗲’𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂.”
Listen in and learn how to combat the plan of the enemy with the powerful tool of God’s word.
Have you ever believed that before God can use you that you had to have a mature prayer life, be baptized or have proven yourself worthy by a certain standard?
If so I hope that today's episode with storyteller Sharon Wilharm will be reassuring that God's plan for you started long ago - and He factored in everything about you!
The struggle is real! In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! God has overcome the world.
"I have told you these things, so that in Him you may have peace.” (John 16:33)
Just like the intricate struggle of the caterpillar in its cocoon, without struggle we do not gain endurance to overcome the trails ahead. Today Misty Phillip will bring a message of hope.
That yes the struggle is real, but so is God!
Today I am talking with Dorina Lazo Gilmore - Young, a writer, speaker, former news reporter, and long-time runner. She will share her personal journey with running and how it helped her through the most difficult time in her life as well as how God used it to bring her to where she is today.
Dorina and her husband Shawn wrote the soon-to-be released book Walk Run Soar, a 52-week devotional and training journal to help understand that there is an intersection of faith and fitness.
Whether or not you are a runner, this book will help motivate you in all aspects of fitness.
There are many reasons that we are overwhelmed right now, but we all do overwhelm differently.
My personality type will handle it one way while my husband, kids and friends personality type will handle it another. I, like Kathi Lipp, have the type of personality that can easily give a pat answer to a situation based on how we handle things. That is not what someone who handles overwhelm differently needs to hear.
Kathi reminds us that we need to be joyful with those who are joyful and grieve with those who grieve. We need to be able to acknowledge other's pain even when we have not experienced it.
"𝐌𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞." Kathi Lipp
In today's episode Kathi gives us 5 common ways we become overwhelmed by the daily decisions we face.
𝟭. 𝗪𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

𝟯. 𝗪𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗲'𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲

Kathi also gives me great advice on how to handle the overwhelm I am having as I pack up my home of 18 years and move across the states.
Is God real? And if He is, is He good?
If He is real and good and I am going through hard stuff, then where is He?
Growing up in a faith based home I believed that there was a God, but often I did not believe God. I thought I was one mistake away from the ability to receive grace. That I was on this journey alone while being watched from up above.
If you have struggled with these same beliefs I hope that you will find comfort and relief in the words that Michele Cushatt shares.
Michele encourages us to stop, look back at the journey we've been on and like the Israelites who collected the stones from the Jordan River , we too can collect the stones. The evidence that God was not watching, He was with us!
In this episode Melinda Patrick will share her message of living well even while we are waiting.
She knows how hard seasons of waiting can be, but she also looks back on those times and can clearly see 4 things that God helped her experience during her waiting season.

To compare like Jesus did - in an upside down way! The first will be last - the greatest of all is a servant.
Join Shannon Popkin and I as she shares what she has discovered about her own measure-up fears and get-ahead pride.
There are many times when we let the disappointment take over and we lose our voice, or chose not to use it.
Thank goodness we have a kind Father whose grace covers our disappointment. He lets us have our moments and then calls us back. Like any father, He knows the potential that He placed in us and wants us to experience the blessing of using it - especially during plan B.
Csilla Muscan and I will be discussing ~

Letting go and surrendering is scary, I am often tempted to flee, fix or force situations. All of these temptations stem from fear and lack of trust. I have perceptions of how my life should be. If I keep focused and doing what I know is right there shouldn't be suffering. I shouldn't have to feel lost in a wilderness.
In this episode Barb Roose shares her own story of acknowledging her "control - loving ways" and how she stopped being afraid to let go and trust God with whatever happened. She had to admit that the weight of her problems were too much for her to bear.
What is a Spiritual Game Plan? In this episode my friend and coach Cheri Gregory is going to interview me.
I want you know what is behind the title and why having a game plan is so important for me in order to live out my purpose.
Without having a Spiritual Game Plan we are not only unable to live out our purpose, we are defenseless against the enemy's attack on it.
I am glad you are here! Thank you for listening
Lori Margo is a speaker and writer who loves to share about finding the surprising presence of God in the hard things of life.
She understands first hand that life can catch us off guard when those hard things come our way and we don’t always see where God is through all of it.
Lori has been able to find peace among the pieces by learning how to track God as she looked for Him during her uncertain times.
She loves El Roi, The God Who Sees, and she wants to be able to let Him know that she sees Him too!
In this episode, she will share with us how we can find peace in the broken pieces by tracking God in our journey.
Just like in life, marriage go through transitional periods. There are normal hills and valleys and if we can manage these universal stormy periods we usually come out the other side with greater love and commitment to their spouses.
In this episode I talk with Amanda Davison from A Wife Like Me. Amanda shares her story of wanting to leave and the invitation God gave her to connect deeper with Him and her husband.
Amanda's devotional is like having a marriage map, it will help set the course. We do not know our future, but it is better to have a plan on how we can handle future obstacles
