As we wrap up our third season, we wanted to highlight the need for rest within us and our capitalist society. Rest is resistance and we need to not be ashamed of it when we rest. These past few months we have been focusing a lot on things that need to change and the problems that surround us, and that has been exhausting, especially as people of color since this is something that we talk about constantly anyways. To change that narrative for a bit, today we decided to talk about the small good things that are also happening to us. Food sustainability has been an issue that we think about a lot and so we decided to learn more about it. Join us as we talk about how sustainable practices from black, POC, and indigenous people have been stolen and then re used by white people as their own. We unleash it all and also ask someone who is doing the work to bring it back, how we as "normal" people can be sustainable in our day to day lives.
