Written by Joni Mitchell, this song, "Woodstock" symbolizes are desire to "get back to the Garden" - a metaphor for returning to the awareness of our true Innocence in God.

This recording was from the Sunday Service on Jan 12th, 2014 at the Living Miracles Metaphysical Center in Kamas, Utah.

I'm currently living in a campground in the canyons of Utah, near a monastery, where an upcoming music festival will be held later this month: the Strawberry Fields Forever Music Festival & Enlightenment Retreat. I'm here both as a volunteer to help with all the festival preparations, and also as an artist doing lots of my own music and collaborations with other artists. It's a very exciting time for me, as this festival symbolizes a profound shift in consciousness which I experience happening in myself and in everyone I know. It the same feeling that I imagine people were experiencing in 1969 as they made their way to Woodstock, and so recently I was inspired to learn this Joni Mitchell song by the same name. For me, the song captures that profound sense of spiritual longing I believe we all share: to remember our original Innocence and get "back to the Garden.

Here are the lyrics to the song, as well as the recording I just did yesterday with the help of my friend Laura...

Woodstock (by Joni Mitchell):

I came upon a child of God
She was walking along the road
And I asked her tell me, "Where are you going?"
And this she told me...

She said, “I'm going down to Yasgur's Farm”,
Gonna join in a rock and roll band.
I’m gonna camp out on the land,
And get my soul free.

We are stardust.
We are golden.
And we've got to get ourselves back to the Garden.

Well can I walk along beside you?
I have come here to lose the smog,
And I feel like I’m a cog in something turning… round and round.

And maybe it’s just the time of the year,
Or maybe it's the time of man.
I don't know who I am,
But life is for learning.

We are stardust.
We are golden.
And we've got to get ourselves back to the Garden.

By the time we got to Woodstock,
We were half a million strong
And everywhere there was song and celebration.

And I dreamed I saw the bomber jet planes
Flying shotgun in the sky,
Turning into butterflies
Above our nation.

We are stardust.
We are golden..
And we've got to get ourselves back to the Garden.

With Love,
Erik

Last night, we had another awesome night of dancing and music here at "La Casa de la Luz". It was myself, Ricki, Malfrid, Anders, Petra, Trisha, Monique, and our friends Alice and Rod from the village. We had lots of instruments (including Rod on his violin, and Malfrid on her flute - simply magical!!!) and some pretty amazing collaborations came out of our joining...

Enjoy this 30 minute recording of spontaneous musical love-making! :-)

Tonight at the Living Miracles community house here in Spain, aka "La Casa de Luz", our dear friend Alice Friend and I collaborated on some songs together and did a concert for our other housemates. We each played a few of our own songs, as well as some spontaneous "meditation songs" with her flute and my guitar. At the end, everyone grabbed an instrument and we did a group jam session! Incredible night... thanks Alice, Ricki, Petra, and Peter! Love you guys!!!

I Give My Life Over To You, by Armelle & Erik Archbold
Refrain:
I give my life over to You.
I give my life over to You.

Verse 1:
For I don’t know what anything is for. I don’t. I don’t know.
And I don’t know what’s best for me. I don’t. I don’t know.
I don’t know.

And so I…
(Refrain)

Verse 2:
For I don’t know what anything means. I don’t. I don’t know.
And I don’t need to know. I don’t. No I don’t.
No I don’t.

Bridge:
For I don’t know, but You do. No, I don’t know, but You do.
And so I want You to guide me. I want You to lead me.
I want You to teach me. I want You to show me.
Cause I don’t know, but You do.
No, I don’t know, but You do. (x2)

(Refrain again, then Verse 1 again)

Ending:
I don’t know.
And I don’t need to know.

I song I finished writing about six months ago, but hadn't recorded until now (late November 2012). It's basically about opening the heart and surrendering to Love, whether it's the Love of God, or the Love of a person (which in essence, are the same). Enjoy the song!

Written by the Indigo Girls, this is a song which has always resonated for me in terms of the relationship that Armelle and I seem to share. From my perspective, it's all about the power of joining with someone in a truly loving, authentic relationship full of lots of open communication.

I wrote this song in my second year of college, shortly after my first (and only) LSD trip which seemed to spark a series of mystical/mind-expanding experiences. These experiences opened my mind to the realization that my experience of life is based solely on my subjective perception of it - and that there MUST therefore be a way to perceive life as beautiful and miraculous ALWAYS. I began to feel a fire in my soul to discover the Ultimate Truth behind all things, regardless of what it might seem to cost me, and thus began my spiritual journey.
