Prosecutors are declaring that they're going to stop filing charges for certain crimes, in the name of "equity." And all the while, state & city government continuously seek ways to restrict citizens' rights to defend themselves...a right that even the Supreme Court's liberal wing has repeatedly upheld. John Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center joins the show to discuss why the perception of crime simply doesn't line up with the federal government's numbers.

Early this past Saturday morning in Israel, while most Americans were turning in for the night or already in bed, a coordinated offensive launched from the Palestinian territory of Gaza into towns and communes near its border with Jewish-controlled Israeli territory. The attack is being called by some “Israel’s 9/11.” The death toll, as of this episode’s publishing, is over 1,200 Israelis, with over 2,700 wounded. Now, Israel is mobilizing for what some believe will be an overwhelming and decisive counteroffensive.

Jacob Anthony Angeli Chansley was widely mocked and derided after becoming the unwitting posterchild of the Capitol riots on 1/6/21. He became the subject of jokes, conspiracy theories, and accusations. But in this conversation, Chansley discusses a side most people have never bothered to see: an educated young man with a deep sense of spirituality and dedicated political beliefs who has been maligned by the mainstream press, fringe figures, even his own former attorney, who publicly claimed that he was intellectually disabled and mentally ill. In the summer of 2013, George Zimmerman went on trial in Florida for the alleged murder of teen Trayvon Martin, a key moment in the birth of the Black Lives Matter movement. But while many still believe Martin to be an innocent victim of a racist vigilante, the trial revealed another side of the story that the media ignored: a troubled youth who had been expelled for breaking the law and had a violent personality, who multiple witnesses say brutally assaulted Zimmerman before the gun was fired. Zimmerman was ultimately acquitted, but even today he is seen by some as a murderer who escaped justice, despite the evidence to the contrary. When actor and noted liberal activist Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed the cinematographer and injured the director of a low-budget western he was producing, the questions immediately began: How did an apparent live round get inside the gun? After exchanging words and being threatened with weapons, he was pinned to the ground and beaten within an inch of his life. On January 6, 2021, an historic and disturbing chapter in US history unfolded in Washington, DC. As Congress gathered to certify the Electoral College ballots and certify Joe Biden as the President-elect, hundreds of Trump supporters forced their way into the Capitol, smashing windows and furniture, looting Congressional offices, swarming the Senate chamber and assaulting Capitol police, all in an apparent attempt to disrupt the vote certification. In March of 2015, Mike Strickland and his friend Chris Cochran met with Academy Award- and Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker Skye Fitzgerald to discuss concerns over Cochran's participation in a documentary Fitzgerald was making. It started with civil discussion; it ended with Strickland in the hospital with a severely broken arm and Fitzgerald fleeing the scene with two of Strickland's cameras that he'd stolen. On July 7, 2016, vlogger and independent political reporter Mike Strickland was attending the Don’t Shoot Portland protest event. The filmmaker had gained a reputation for showing the world the worst of radical leftism, including the black bloc protesters and socialist extremists common in the northwest. When he showed up at the protest that day, he had no idea that a conspiracy had been hatched. He was assaulted repeatedly by members of a newly-minted extremist organization...ANTIFA. He drew his legally-carried Glock 26 handgun and leveled it at the attackers, frightening them off without firing a shot.
