In this episode we discuss the fact that although Ruth Bader Ginsburg fought the good fight early on for the monetary equal rights of both women and men her belief in judicial activism added to the judicial tyranny of the court. This tyranny can be traced back to John Marshall's usurpation of the right of judicial review as far back as 1803 in Marbury vs. Madison. Todays episode is my conversation with an American hero named Jack Closson. Jack joined the Marines as a teenager and served two tours in Vietmam. After he was discharged from the active Marines he served many years in the United States Marine Reserve, retiring as a 1st Sergeant. Jack has had a varied job career among other things working with the I.R.S. and in the teaching profession. Like myself, Jack was a Democrat at one time but also like myself he had his own #Walk Away experience. He was present at the hotel where Senator Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1968. We cover a lot of subjects in this interview and he gives a solid answer to my question, Was the Vietnam War worth the sacrifice? Jack also discusses his return to Vietnam in 2014.
