Tobacco plain and standardized packaging efforts are expanding globally. In an effort to aid tobacco control advocates in low- and middle-income countries looking to implement these tobacco packaging requirements, the Institute for Global Tobacco Control (IGTC) interviewed almost two dozen researchers, advocates, and government officials from nine countries that already implemented plain and standardized packaging and published "Advancing Tobacco Plain and Standardized Packaging in Low- and Middle-Income Countries: Advice from Experts."
The Institute for Global Tobacco Control (IGTC) has collaborated with the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK), and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) to develop a comprehensive “how-to” guide on assessing compliance with tobacco packaging and labeling requirements.
