In Mike Farley's own words ...We all have a past. We have all done things that we thought we never would or gone further than we wanted to. The truth though is that regardless of your past Jesus is greater. Jesus said in John 8:32 “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” The truth is that Jesus died so that you can live. The truth is that you cannot do it on your own. The truth is once we rest in the fact that Jesus is greater and trust Him to lead we have true freedom.
For me, my past includes drug use, self-injury, and attempted suicide. I reached a point where I just did not care anymore. Nothing was getting better and nothing could make it better. I had heard the name Jesus but didn’t know anything other than the name. God showed me who I was one day while looking in the window and showed me I could not fix it. I prayed that day for the first time and told Jesus if He could do something with my life then He could have it because I wasn’t doing anything with it. Jesus took me up on my offer and also took away the drugs, self-injury, and desire for death. You can read the whole story here.
That was a long time ago and since then I have been following where Jesus leads. There have been good times and hard times but I have learned that He is Lord in both. He leads, I follow and there is great freedom in that.

Helen Smith and Joseph have a lot in common regarding the dysfunctional family. Well, if truth be told, all of us probably have a dysfunctional family if we are honest. When you put a bunch of imperfect people together and call them family there are bound to be trials, strife and growing periods. Some families are just more challenged than others. Joseph was put through many trials and tribulations but God also showed Joseph favor and promoted him time after time. No matter how many trials Joseph faced he always trusted God.

On this episode we discuss scientific evidence that the flood during Noah's days did actually happen. God had gotten so angry with how evil the world had become that He gave the people 120 years to repent. But instead of repenting, the people just laughed at Noah and his family as they built the ark. It says in the Bible that as in the days of Noah, it will also be in the last days. People will have, and have had, plenty of warning that the end of days will happen and that Jesus will come again but, as in the days of Noah, many people laugh at people who consider themselves Christians.

In this episode of the podcast we chose to talk about the Book of Revelation and about aspects of the 7 year tribulation. Starting with the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Revelation gives some insight into what may happen in the end times. Although God is the only one who knows the day and the hour in which Jesus comes to rapture the saints and when the 7 year tribulation will begin. The Bible does give us some clues in scripture of what might be coming on our way.
Every generation since the beginning of time have thought they were the "last generation". However, it does seem that a lot of the players are getting in place for this time. They are fighting about rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem as we speak. The temple would have to rebuilt for the anti-christ to declare himself god. This is what is referred to as "abomination of desolation". (Daniel 9:27) The 7 year tribulation "there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been..." (Daniel 12:1) It starts with Jesus, the Lamb, opening the first scroll...the white horse. (Revelation 6:1-17).

I could relate to this because we all get tired of life and just need to rest. You can't accomplish anything when you are tired and frustrated. Jesus provides just enough for us to get through.
