Its a new year and we kick it off right with a MMPR commentary. This time its the 2 parter 'Return of an Old Friend' and 'Two-heads are better than one'.
Wonder Woman 1984 finally dropped on HBO Max and it ended up being an okay movie. Movie has its share of issues but it really comes down to the fact that the film really leaned heavily on 80's movie tropes top to bottom. As with anything in television, we're in a renaissance of sorts with tv stations going all in on reimagine, rebooting, and/or remaking classic shows. The Season Finale is finally upon us. 12 episodes of character progression results in a finale that while it may be wonky at times, it ends up being good in showing the payoff to whats essentially the Pierce family coming to together as a unit. Great episode and Awesome season.

Jessica Jones Season 2 had a big hill to climb coming off a phenomenal Season 1 especially with Killgrave off the board now. Thankfully Season 2 manages to up the ante and really be good mainly in giving all the characters growth over the course of the 13 episodes on top of really sowing the seeds of being integrated in the MCU.

The Punisher Netflix series ends up being a damn good and solid show from beginning to end. More often than not Frank Castle is played up as a one note character but with this show he's given some depth which really helps him out. On top of that the show hits on PTSD and the issue of what a military person experiences once they're out. So yeah definitely check out the show and give a listen to this episode as we recap the series.

On the surface, this episode feels like filler and for at least one plot point it does. Once you get past that though this is yet another episode that further progresses this show with all the characters and there motivations whether its Reed feeling conflicted on selling out the Mutant Underground, Caitlin trying to find another way to help out her family, and even Blink trying to figure out using her powers again after her episode. Solid episode overall as CJ and Crosby recap this.
