“My Desire is for God” was a sermon preached by Pastor on March 3rd where he looked into the Song of Solomon to explore the theme of longing for God. Pastor urges us to prioritize the love and pursuit of God above all else. He speaks on the heart's cry for divine connection, emphasizing the importance of promptly responding to God's call for intimacy through a consistent devotional life and persistently pursuing God despite life's distractions.
This past Sunday, we celebrated our Black History with a service themed "Next Gen Up," led by our beloved Keith & Gale Ashby. They drew inspiration from 1 John 3:16-20 for the service:
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything."
The heart of the service featured two round table discussions: one by our young adults and another by our seasoned leaders.
