EPISODE – Carla solo episode: The 12 Laws of Living

SHOWNOTES

  • The Law of Divine One – everything and everyone is connected. Every thought, action etc affects everyone else. We are all connected subconsciously. We are a part of One and we all want to see others thrive.
  • The Law of Energy/Vibration – everything moves as frequency/vibration and each action and thought has its own frequency. Think positive then more positive things come.
  • The Law of Action – each action will provide a different result. Each action must support our thoughts, dreams and goals for the world.
  • The Law of Correspondence – we are in control of our life, every action we make will be reflected in our outer world and our inner world. Make the internal changes so that the external changes.
  • The Law of Cause and Effect – it is each of our action that creates a reaction. Every statement you make is an example of this Law. What goes around comes around, there is karmic retribution
  • The Law of Compensation – Blessings will come in various forms, money, gifts, friendships etc. Generosity and donations will come back to you.
  • The Law of Attraction – This Law will bring people of things into our life by actions, thoughts or emotions. We use this energy to attract more energy. Once you start to raise your vibration, this will help to raise vibration of things that improve life on your own frequency.
  • The Law of Perpetual Transformation of Energy – this law states that higher vibrations can transform and uplift the lower energies. If you want to create change, you vibrate higher and you let go of the lower energy that keeps you stuck. We want to create the life we desire.
  • The Law of Relativity – in order for us to develop, we have to go through problems while keeping connected to the heart. Whenever we are facing challenges, there are other people worse off.
  • The Law of Polarity – everything has an opposite. We have to experience the ups and downs of life, we have to feel to be sad, so we know what happiness feels like.
  • The Law of Rhythm – everything has a different rhythm in each cycle so it’s about getting ready to face the negative part of each cycle so you can recognize some of the things that are negative and then focus on seeing the benefits of this and looking at the positives and also recognizing that this is a cycle.
  • The Law of Gender – this is about yin/yang and masculine/feminine energies. We all possess this. Energy, logic, husting, intellect = masculine energy. Love, patience, gentleness, nurturing etc = feminine energy. Showing and understanding where we can balance this.

Top 10 Best Wayne Dyer Book by Nerdy Creator 1. The Shift “The greatest hunger of all is the hunger for meaning.”

This is the first book I read from Wayne Dyer. During my recovery from depression, I had some insights on spirituality but I didn’t know exactly what it is and how to explain it. This book speaks to me on a deep level and helps me learn a lot about my experience. It also got me started reading other spiritual books.

If you are someone who is always working hard or doing a lot, but somehow still feel unfulfilled in life, this is the book to read. It takes you on a journey from ambition to meaning and let you realize that your spirit yearns for meaning, not ambition.

The book is also made into an inspiration movie of the same name and released by Hay House. Wayne Dyer acted in the movie as himself.

  1. Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life “Sharpen a blade too much and its edge will soon be lost.”

This book is Wayne Dyer’s interpretation of Lao Tze’s Tao Te Ching. He spent one whole year reading and practicing the verses of the Tao. It consists of 81 chapters and is meant to be read slowly.

You don’t have to be a Taoist to receive wisdom from this book. Tao Te Ching is just a way of life and Wayne Dyer makes it easy for you to apply Lao Tze’s teaching to your daily life. At the end of each chapter, he provides action steps which you can take to make your life peaceful, inspired and harmonious.

If you want to have a book that you can refer to from time to time and remind you to be at peace, this is the book for you.

  1. Being in Balance “There’s no such thing as stress; there are only people thinking stressful thoughts.”

Wayne Dyer says that everything in the universe is in balance, except we humans. He points out that there is a very subtle imbalance between our dream (our reason for life) and our habits (our way of life). For example, our desire to enjoy life is often hindered by our stressful thoughts of needing to achieve more.

This book is not about adopting new strategies to change your behavior. It’s about aligning your thinking habits with your deepest desires and restoring the natural equilibrium in your lives.

In this book, Wayne Dyer covers nine imbalances that will help you be more aware of these unhealthy habits. This book is suitable for those who feel dissatisfied with their life but doesn’t understand why.

  1. The Power of Intention “You feel good not because the world is right, but your world is right because you feel good.”

As the book title suggests, this book is about intention. This intention isn’t your intention to do something; it’s the intention of the universe.

Wayne Dyer believes that there is an invisible force and energy field that is bigger than ourselves. When we surrender to this built-in intention in the universe and trust its power, we co-create the lives we desire.

This book speaks to the heart. It allows you to feel connected to the universe and its 7 faces — creativity, kindness, love, beauty, expansiveness, abundance and receptivity. Not only will this book inspires you, it also provides a step-by-step guide to help you apply these principles into your daily life.

  1. 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace “Have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing.”

This is a book about success but in the perspective of spirituality. It’s not about goal setting, financial planning, or choosing the right career. It’s about having inner peace which is what that truly defines success for him.

In this book, Wayne Dyer elaborates on 10 principles that will guide you to tranquility. Unlike other books from him, this book is a quick read and doesn’t have many personal stories. So it is suitable for anyone who is new to Wayne Dyer’s works or spirituality. It’s also good for someone who wants a quick recap of his teachings.

  1. Wishes Fulfilled “The greatest gift that you were ever given was the gift of your imagination.”

This book is about mastering the art of manifesting and getting what you really really want.

The first part of this book gets you to change your concept of yourself and recognize something extraordinary within yourself. As per Wayne Dyer, your highest self is where you realize you are connected to the Divine. When you realize this, you can be anything and do anything.

The second part of the book lays the foundation of how to manifest your wishes. The author says that if you want to accomplish something, you must first expect it of yourself. And it’s not about making positive affirmations; it’s a spiritual knowing. Deep down inside, you must know that you are what you already want to be for the manifestation to work.

  1. There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem “Thinking is the source of problems. Your heart holds the answer to solving them.”

This book is about dissolving the problems created by your mind. As per Wayne Dyer, problems are nothing more than mistakes in our thinking. If we tap into the higher frequency of our spirits, we can eliminate any problems in our lives.

In the beginning of the book, the author shares his experience on having a heart attack and how he shifted from feeling self-pity and denial to gratitude and love. Even though his heart is still damaged, he was able to find peace and recovered when he shifted his energy from negativity to positivity.

The book is suitable for you if you are open to new age philosophies and learning through anecdotes.

  1. Wisdom of the Ages “This book is not about appreciating poetry and philosophy as much as it is about applying the wisdom of these writers to our everyday lives.”

If you have read Wayne Dyer’s books before, you will know he is fascinated by teachers who lived before us and likes to quote them in his books.

For this book, he selects 60 teachers from a variety of eras and cultures and shares his interpretation of their works. The ancestral masters include Buddha, Michelangelo, Rumi, Whitman, and Jesus. At the end of each chapter, he also suggests how we can apply these teachings and wisdom to our modern lives.

  1. Your Erroneous Zones “Happiness means no complaining about the things over which you can do nothing.”

This book is not only Dr. Wayne Dyer first book, it’s also one of his best-selling books. It has sold over 35 million copies!

This book teaches you to take control of your life and not base your self-worth on other people. If you have problems with guilt, worry, anger, and procrastination, this book will help you deal with these erroneous zones and get out of the victim mindset.

However, if you are used to the author’s gentle, inspirational writing tone, this book might not be suitable for you. Before he had deeper insights on spirituality, his writing tends to be more on the motivational side and harsh. He even used some sexual references in the book which some might find inappropriate.

Nonetheless, the content in this book is still useful and worth checking out.

As per the author, we come into this world totally connected with our inner wisdom but we pick up fears and limitations along the way.

This book doesn’t teach you how to meditate. Instead, you are to take each topic and meditate or contemplate on the subject. If there’s a statement that you don’t agree with, it’s okay. But for growth, you are encouraged to examine your beliefs.

BIOGRAPHY

INTRO

Fleur is mindfulness and meditation teacher who has supported over 600,000 people in 30 different countries feel happier from the inside out.

She is the Creator of The Happy Habit app, a mediation app that helps busy people develop the habit of meditation, even when life feels unpredictable.

Her app helps people grow a series of inner resources like calm, compassion, gratitude, perspective and purpose that we can use to make life feel easier, more enjoyable and meaningful.

Fleur is on a mission to change the conversation about happiness, giving people permission to be happy even amidst the mistakes and regrets of the past, and the worries for the future. Happiness not in the form of smiles and laughter, but in the form of a deep sense of confidence, resilience and peace.

In her work Fleur has noticed that most of us are chasing happiness, telling ourselves we will be happy when we have more money or a more loving relationship. That we will be happy when we have quit sugar, lost a few kilos, landed that promotion or bought that new pair of jeans.

In reality, this happiness is short lived as we just turn our attention to the next thing that could make us happy. And so, the cycle of chasing happiness continues. making us stressed, anxious and not satisfied with the life that is here for us right now.

Fleur has developed a framework “10 pathways to lasting happiness” to help people stop chasing happiness, and instead, to build a set of inner resources that we can draw upon everyday to experience wellbeing( even when life feels busy, unpredictable and messy.)

Fleur has been described as wise, funny and down-to-earth.

Fleur lives in Melbourne with her 3 boys, husband and dog Lucky.

BIO

Fleur Chambers is a certified meditation teacher and creator of The Happy Habit app. She holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Education and is a member of Meditation Australia.

Fleur has helped over 600,000 people in 30 countries alleviate daily stressors that block their path to happiness. Her signature “10 Pathways to Lasting Happiness” framework teaches people how to enjoy life amidst pressures and set-backs.

Fleur is an expert meditation teacher for 28 by Sam Wood, The Mindful Mum, Well Nourished, Ready for Change, and Playful Families.

SHOWNOTES

  • Fleur had an awakening when she was a mother of 3 under 3 at 30 and tried to keep getting ahead and well planned, investing a lot of emotional and mental empathy but things came crashing down and she was told by her Mum that she needs to work on mindfulness. She continued on her journey, and how to have conversations about this for family and work. Four years ago, she wasn’t feeding her own compassion and was diagnosed with a chronic pain condition. This meant that she had to pivot her business an then that led her to launch her app.
  • The Happy Habit App creates a space for people to see what make them happy and to challenge people to get into meditative practices.
  • Neurological pathways: awareness, calm, gratitude, connection, compassion, flexibility and perspective, acceptance, vitality, confidence - everyone has a pathway they want to walk. The app gives an outlet for people to self-medicate towards happiness.

BIOGRAPHY

Rebecca is a Mindset & Confidence Coach, qualified NLP & Hypnosis Practitioner with a mission to empower professional women in the work place, so they can cultivate unstoppable confidence, so that they can own their presence, be heard and make a difference in the work-place.

My name is Rebecca and my mission is to empower professional & corporate women in the work place, so they can cultivate unstoppable confidence, so that they can own their presence, be heard and make a difference in the work-place.

I’m a Confidence Mindset Coach and Hypnotist, qualified Master NLP practitioner and Hypnotherapist. In my early years I studied as a Performing Artist, working in the industry for several years before taking a change in career to become a yoga instructor and personal trainer.

Having worked in the Performing Arts Industry for several years, I wanted to ensure that my health and wellbeing, both mental and physical, was always the best that it could be. When I first started looking for help, I turned to experts, but what I noticed with all these forms of support, was that it always about me: limiting beliefs, self-doubt and occasional unhappiness, so I started to look beyond the external factors and more about what was inside.

This drove me to start life coaching. My limiting beliefs, self-doubt and occasional unhappiness have stopped me from being a creator of my life. My passion to help people grow and blossom as individuals has driven my career in life coaching.

I am here to support, guide and help you to help yourself; to create the life you have always dreamed of. My passion is people, and I now have the ability to share my knowledge, technique and experience, to make you shine – and that is all I’ve ever dreamed of.

EPISODE – ANDY MANT

BIOGRAPHY

Andy Mant is the founder and CEO of BLUblox, a company specializing in evidence based advanced light filtering eyewear. Andy started BLUblox after becoming dissatisfied with the quality and standards of blue light blocking glasses available and so set about to design lenses that match the evidence in the academic literature. Andy was born in the UK and moved to Australia in 2011. Not long after, Andy found himself gaining a lot of weight, struggling with chronic fatigue, and constantly lacking energy. Traditional dietary approaches only worked to a certain degree and after stumbling across light and its relation to the body, Andy forged a passion and niche in how light can impact the human biological system. Today Andy is a leading figure in how light can affect our health and wellbeing. SHOWNOTES

  • Andy is the founder of a company called Blublox a company that creates spectacles that filters out blue and green light to help with improving sleep to increase the amount of melatonin produced.
  • Andy had fun creating the products in the optics lab combining it with the peer reviewed studies to educate patients about the dangers of artificial light.
  • Andy talks about the importance of getting deep, restorative sleep that requires melatonin and talks about the importance of that compared to taking the tablets.
  • His products have helped athletes, entrepreneurs and even mums and dads to help with bringing up children.
  • Blue light is found in two sources - digital devices such as mobiles, tvs, car headlights and the other source is the sun. Some blue light is required to help with increasing your cortisol and serotonin. Blue light can cause cellular damage however in the sun, there is red light that restores the damage but this isn’t present in the artificial blue light. When light passes through the eyes it governs the time it is and entrails your master clock. If you wake up and turn over when you wake up and look at the phone it will tell your brain that it is midday and you miss the morning energy frequency. After sunset, exposing yourself to blue light can keep your brain in a state of wakefulness. This will affect your hormones and circadian rhythms in the future and can be link to chronic conditions like cardiovascular conditions, mental disorders and diabetes for example.
  • Getting natural light into your system in the morning, lunchtime and sunset can help with keeping levels maintained and to give a natural energetic boost when required.
  • Flux and Iris available online can add more red light and reduce then blue light in laptops and computer screens. Himalayan salt lamps near your work station can help. Wearing yellow frequency glasses and keeping an eye on your thyroid can help; even wrapping a silk scarf to prevent then blue light from damaging cells in the thyroid which is the hormonal hub.
  • Animals are also our predecessors for being around this natural light to help.
  • Andy talks about the importance of not wearing sunglasses during the day as they are so dark and can mimic night time.
  • The best thing to do is to assess your natural light exposure and watching the sunrise and blue blocking glasses after sunset is going to help your overall sleep.
  • Andy’s happiness is defined by gratitude and challenges.
  • He spends every morning watching the sunrise and practising mindfulness meditation.
  • The top three sings that make his heart sing are his wife, waking up watching the sunrise and practising mindfulness; and getting emails from people that require his help and receiving their gratitude is overwhelmingly wonderful for him to receive.
  • His fantasy food would be pizza
  • Andy’s all time favourite book is Sapiens and Evolution of mankind. Four hour work week by Tim Ferriss. Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss.
  • The things that is non negotiable for Andy to do is sunrise, mindfulness and manifestation for his daily routine. His manifestation practice involves immersion and for example he and his wife want to live at the ocean so they go to neighbourhoods three to four times a week and imagine what it would be like to be going “home”.
  • The best thing that Andy recommends people can do for their health is to environment, diet, exercise, sleep and mindset.
  • His fantasy dinner guests would be Tom Bilyeau, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, and Tim Ferriss.
  • His theme tune would be The Great Escape theme tune.
  • Good British comedy - Michael McIntyre, Ricky Gervais are his things that make him laugh
  • Andy keeps a gratitude journal to help with keeping those thank you moments special to him and keep the positive vibrations up.
  • How we can help Andy is to tell one person about this podcast or about light and that person can tell someone else because Andy’s message is about empowerment and education.

BIOGRAPHY

Shannah was one of the first life coaches in Melbourne (studied it 20yrs ago) no one knew what the hell I was talking about. Shannah wanted to coach athletes into retirement. She had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome from totally not looking after myself which lead to depression due to not being able to move my body how I wanted to – hence got a coach and learnt some self-care and mental health coping strategies. Shannah studied mental health coping strategies for the past 10 years and had coaches working on herself, to be the best version of herself. She built a massive executive coaching business as a life strategist so people can perform optimally (with a view to longevity in career) professionally and still develop a life outside work. She lives, manages and works with CFS and depression on a daily basis and has a great life!

As a coach - she provides a safe space for people to have real conversations and unpack what is going on in their minds. She helps people manage their own wellbeing; helps people understand that they are not their job, they are a whole person, their job is what they do - not who they are. Take the job away and who are you - you need to build calm confidence in this space.

Shannah started on the speaking circuit 15 years ago to bring life and wellness skills to

conferences (before my time) and worked with AFL Players, Swimmers, Track athletes. Approached many AFL clubs - too early for my time, they didn’t want to acknowledge coaching or mental health (recently Ken Sheldon apologised to her and said I was just too early for them even though I could see what was happening) – she wanted to teach a skill set for outside competition, skills that would support them outside of game time. Also coached members of AFL boards would send players to her and not tell anyone else.

Shannah’s books are:

1 - Simplify Structure Succeed

2 - The Life Plan (is the biggest and best seller globally)

3 - Chaos to Calm

4 - Shine

5 - Restore

6 - Ignite - coming out in 2020

Joined with a mum from school and formed business #2 - The Essentialists - teachers of life and wellness skills. Product is The Masterclass of Wellness - we present this workshop globally and work for Deloitte/Macquarie/SEEK/Mercedes etc

TOOLS AND TIPS

  • Values based living - people need to know their values
  • Coping Strategies - breathing, meditation, journaling, gratitude, bookends of the day the most powerful
  • Vision creation
  • Goal setting
  • Habits - are the structure, the foundations, the stakes that need to be addressed
  • Train the brain - set your intentions for the day - the brain is your computer that needs programming
  • Taking responsibility and not playing the blame game - we all have a story - need to move on and be the creator of how we want to feel and what we want to create
  • Upskilling - people are happiest when they are learning and engaged. We can now do this through podcasts, audio books, short courses
  • BE CURIOUS AND MAKE A PLAN FOR YOURSELF

SHOWNOTES

  • Shannah was inspired by the movie “Wall Street” and worked her way up the chain coming straight out of year 12 and became the first woman to be sat at the trading desk. Soon after she decided to go around the world backpacking and when she came back, wasn’t inspired to be in that job anymore.
  • Shannah went into a “Jerry Maguire” sports agent job instead and loved the relationships with her clients, which meant a lot of achievement based living rather than self-care living.
  • At 28, she was diagnosed with CFS and her life had changed. She still suffers with it but manages it well.
  • She noticed a pattern with athletes as many went into retirement in their late twenties – their identity gets lost too and noticed there was a need to look after our own lives and life skills are not taught.
  • Getting into these build questions about happiness, fulfilment and life skills, getting into the nitty-gritty is where the truth of authentic self comes through and Shannah helps people work through things.
  • Shannah discusses how the first and the last hour of the day are critical because you are in charge of it and can tick the boxes of mental, spiritual and physical wellness in that time too. Ultimately it leaves you happy and fulfilled.
  • Shannah’s definition of happiness is finding inner harmony and contentment within herself
  • The thing that makes Shannah’s heart sing is loud music, watching movies and walking on the beach three mornings a week with her husband
  • Home-cooked Italian pasta is Shannah’s fantasy food, her fantasy dinner guests would be Roger Federer, Lisa Wilkinson, and Oprah Winfrey.
  • Exercise is her non-negotiable thing she must do.
  • Creating a plan of what people can do to help their mental, physical, spiritual, emotional and financial plans is a conducive thing to help with routine.
  • “Give me a higher love” with Kygo is Shannah’s theme tune.
  • What can you do to promote more happiness in your life? This is the question that Shannah invites Carla’s listeners to consider! J

BIOGRAPHY

Hello! I’m Chef Cynthia Louise. I’m a publisher, co-author of 3 international bestselling cookbooks, with Dr. Libby Weaver; REAL FOOD CHEF, SWEET TOOTH STORY & REAL FOOD KITCHEN… I’m super proud to work alongside this incredible human who has taught me so much when it comes to how we absorb food.

For years, I have worked in exclusive Health Retreats where I was limited to the number of people I could support. And now I can through 4 different online cooking classes where I guide you 24/7 in your kitchen from mine to create meals that serve your organs and ultimately give you a deep understanding of how good does matter.

I have a Cooking Retreat called NOURISH, it’s a 5 ½ day hands-on cooking retreat. The retreat is designed to give you great insight on the importance of ingredients like good fats, legumes, vegetables, nuts, seeds, spices, herbs and how to use high mineral salts in cooking. All while using plant based ingredients and becoming more comfortable in the kitchen, making it a less stressful time and more of a nourishing time. The skills, techniques and recipes you will learn are for life.

The retreat is spectacular and is for all ages.

I’m also the creative food director of the global brand GENIUS CAFE, building 50 cafes worldwide. It's a joy to train the next generation of chefs on how to look after themselves and their customer’s ultimate health with what they are serving on the menu.

I am an international speaker and presenter on wholefood cooking and eating the way nature intended us to be when it comes to living a thriving energetic life. What makes me crazy is all the confusion out there about what to eat! I want to bring some clarity and realness to your table. I’m a working mum, wife to Scott and a businesswoman. I know how hard it is to find the time to nourish ourselves and our families.

I am here to give you everything you need to make your own extraordinary everyday food, from scratch, using real ingredients. I share this knowledge with humans all around the world. Real people. Real ingredients. Food as nature intended. Food is such a special gift, and I love its ability to bring people together and to nourish us on all levels – I love it!

I am a big supporter of women's health, gut health and well-being through the way I teach about cooking and eating (taking the bullshit out of eating really). I work alongside Tyler Tolman in his health programs and retreats educating people on making epic dishes from plants that support their ultimate health and taste amazing. Well, that's me. I can't wait to meet you. Chef Cynthia xx

EPISODE – HAREVEE PENE

BIOGRAPHY

Harvee’s first business was at 12-years-old, mowing neighbourhood lawns. Five years later, at age 17, Harvee had saved enough and bought his first investment property. He started his second business at 18 as a scaffolder, and five years later built it in to a large construction training and labour hire company. Wanting to ‘get off the tools’, Harvee started his next journey as a part-time intern in an accounting firm while studying accounting at Queensland University of Technology. Over the next five years, he helped build a change management consulting firm which helped over 600 accounting firms around Australia make positive impacts in their clients’ lives; this company was later floated on the Australian Securities Exchange. That’s where Harvee met Ben Walker – the founder of Inspire CA, and together they joined forces and now lead the award-winning team of life-changing accountants at Inspire. Harvee is a TEDx speaker and has spoken on stage alongside his business idol, Michael E Gerber. BIOGRAPHY

ABOUT THE GUEST: DANIEL T. DEBAUN

Daniel DeBaun is an internationally recognized expert in EMF radiation, EMF shielding, and EMF-related health issues with special focus on the effect of exposure from mobile devices such as laptops, tablets, and cell phones. Daniels concern regarding the health impact of EMF emissions grew from over thirty years of engineering experience in the telecommunication industry, where he held a variety of executive positions at SAIC, Telcordia, AT&T, and Bell Labs. He is the co-author of Radiation Nation: The Fallout of Modern Technology.

  • Daniel discusses light on the electromagnetic spectrum and the dangers of radiation
  • Daniel talks about the dangers of the heat coming off electromagnetic radiation and the microwave signal and the impact to health

THINGS DISCUSSED

Is Constant Cell Phone Use Damaging

Our Brains?

Telecom insider Daniel T. DeBaun reveals health risks of mobile devices in his book, Radiation Nation: The Fallout of Modern Technology, and offers solutions for minimizing danger.

According to former telecommunications industry executive Daniel T. DeBaun, the constant and ever-increasing exposure to Electromagnetic Frequency (EMF) radiation emitted by cell phones, tablets, laptops, WiFi and smart meters is one of the most critical health issues facing our society today.

Not only can EMF radiation adversely affect those of us who use mobile devices, but studies indicate that EMF radiation is especially harmful to our children, many of whom begin using wireless communication devices before they learn to talk, says DeBaun, who with son Ryan co-authored the book, Radiation Nation: The Fallout of Modern Technology. DeBaun says that a recent study of 350 children aged 6 months to 4 years found that nearly all the children (96.6%) used mobile devices and most started using them before age 1.

In Radiation Nation, DeBaun summarizes the latest scientific research linking EMF radiation exposure to everything from minor pains like headaches, to very serious concerns, such as fertility problems and cancer. Researchers found those males who used laptops for only a few hours showed reduced sperm count; women who placed cell phones in their bras developed tumors in the breasts; regular cell phone users have developed rare forms of brain tumors, says DeBaun.

Even though EMFs emitted from mobile devices can affect our biology, DeBaun says that doesn't necessarily mean that we must give up our gadgets. Fortunately, there are simple and effective steps we can take to minimize the risks posed by EMF emissions, and we explain those steps in the book, says DeBaun.

In Radiation Nation, Readers Will Learn:

  • What EMF radiation is and how it affects the body biologically
  • The major health risks, including fertility issues for both men and women, DNA damage, cell mutation, cancer and other serious health risks
  • The latest scientific studies are broken down by disease or condition
  • How EMF radiation specifically affects children and those suffering from electromagnetic hypersensitivity
  • Why the current safety standards for EMF are insufficient and need to be rewritten
  • The EMF sources of greatest concern
  • The most practical precautions you can take for yourself and your loved ones

There hasn't been one complete source for information regarding the EMF radiation safety issue. We wanted to change that. We've worked incredibly hard to write an easy-to-understand book. We think of the book Radiation Nations the ultimate EMF safety layman's guide for those looking to educate themselves, says DeBaun.

Welcome to this week’s episode where I talk about my transformative trip to India:

  • Carla’s journey started in Delhi after a long wait in the airport and witnessing the hustle and bustle straight away headed to her hostel. Her first stop was at an orphanage in the slum area of Delhi.

  • Carla’s first day at the orphanage was really engaging where she was starting with nursery rhymes

  • As Carla found her rhythm she would start the day with yoga before starting teaching the kids their ABCs

  • Carla found it challenging with the cold weather and doing burpees to warm herself up

  • The richness of culture and the street vendors, the spirituality of the area and the hectic nature of the Delhi took Carla and divine intervention from a priest that helped her when she had a case of Delhi belly!

  • Carla experienced a traditional Indian head massage

  • Carla then went to the spiritual city of Varanasi on the overnight train and onto Agra being enthralled by the sights of the Taj Mahal then onto the Pink City in Jaipur

  • Carla then returned to Delhi where she then caught a flight to Goa

  • Carla’s Goa trip was transformative – after spending 2 hours each morning with her yoga master learning Ashtanga, doing meditation and chanting. It also gave her a chance to work on intention goal-setting for the year ahead.

  • Carla talks about her “Wheel of Life” and focuses on each aspect of her life, committing to her goals and using them affirmatively saying “I am….”

  • Carla challenges you to ask yourself whether you are ordinary or extraordinary

  • SHOWNOTES

Welcome to this week’s episode where we talk to Emily Lane.

+ Emily had quite a traditional, Irish, catholic upbringing and entered into the corporate
    - environment quite early on and found that she was getting burnt out in her mid-twenties.
    - Emily decided to leave and lo and behold, when she made the decision, the company wasn’t doing financially well and she was offered voluntary redundancy and this fueled her trip around the world.
    - At 28, a white-water rafting experience is Ecuador took a turn for the worse and she suffered a near death experience with her boat being capsized. It was the wake-up call she needed about what route to take.
    - Emily fell unconscious and experienced parting thoughts.
    - Emily’s path led her to Sydney shortly afterwards and to think about what her path meant for her.
    - Emily went back to Ireland to begin her new life and she realised travelling and leaving ones country is a way to appreciate your home.
    - Getting involved in Wisdom 2.0 has been one of Emily’s career highlights.
    - The event demonstrated how there is a need to be “perfect” in business but its emphasis should be on being as authentic as possible.
    - Emily talks about being kinder to yourself, letting yourself off the hook helps to embrace the learning journey and bringing that message back to your tribe is a way to grow.
    - “To me”, “By me”, “Through me” approaches can help with shifting your mindset.
    - “To me” - is a victim mentality so shifting this can help with finding self-empowerment by taking responsibility.
    - “By me” – we are owners and creators of our reality. This is being actioned by masculine energies.
    - “Through me” – this uses feminine principles where you’re in receivership to be inspired. Leaving the ego aside allows you to step back and ask yourself “what wants to be created?” This is a powerful place to detach and surrender as it allows you be open to creative flow by a higher power.
    - SNNOWMERFUNGROUNDS – is an acronym that can help to get into a positive space.
    - Alignment is Emily’s definition of happiness.
    - Emily has a gentle awakening practice that allows her to be present. She uses silence, softness and spaciousness to decide how to get inspired for the day.
    - Emily’s things that make her heart sing are being open with her heart when she’s in her group, a connection with spirit and enjoying the craic. Ultimately, connection with life.
    - Emily’s favourite meal would be a raw food lasagna or raw food chocolate cake.
    - Emily uses prayer, meditation and chanting to get her in alignment, she uses energy-clearing techniques, and blessing her projects and journaling for self-reflection as a daily routine.
    - The best thing that Emily can think that our listeners can do for their health is to honour their natural design.
    - Emily finds inspiration from every day people to Oprah. Her teachers involve Abraham Hicks.
    - Journaling helps Emily with her gratitude practice and sends energy to people who have blessed her life as well as sending loving kindness to people who have hurt her as it forces her to grow.QUOTES

    - “You came here with the you-ness of you intact. You came here with your signature design and that is not going away. You must operate with that at your anchor point.”

MJ Fitzpatrick - Shownotes

Biography

MJ is a teacher who works with people to become the most authentic version of themselves possible. He works with both men and women of all walks of life, from those running 9 figure businesses to people struggling to make ends meet to help them find more life to live by becoming themselves. He can be found over at www.mjfitzpatrick.com

Shownotes

Welcome to this week’s podcast, today we are talking to MJ Fitzpatrick.

  • MJ has always been a people person from a young school age.
  • MJ grew up with difficulties with anxiety and worries and making sure he was always doing the right thing.
  • At 17 he was playing Rugby Union at school and experienced a devastating accident where he broke his neck. It took about 2 years where he was learning to deal with this.
  • Unfortunately two years later, MJ broke his back and by aged 20 he had his second spinal effusion. This led him to be angry with the world and started to push back.
  • PTSD, drug addiction and issues with mental health led him to his personal journey. MJ then moved overseas.
  • Getting better as a human being is one of the biggest lessons MJ learnt.
  • Eventually MJ could not longer think that his hardships he went through were bad as it led him to good through his service he could give to others.
  • MJ was scared about betting on himself at this point to be a coach to help others so he enrolled into med school and on his second day he had an intuitive message that it wasn’t right for him and 5 weeks later made a courageous and emotional decision to leave.
  • MJ’s path took him to personal training and found that it didn’t have as much of impact as he would have liked.
  • MJ then turned to the Sydney start-up hub which contained 5000 people and added each one of these entrepreneurs as a friend on Facebook.
  • 3000 accepted and MJ emailed each of them to offer them a free session of coaching and eventually this led to paid clients - this is how his business took off.
  • A speaking gig allowed him to offer the same thing where he could connect with people for free initially then eventually get to help them with his business.
  • This led MJ to think about what sort of impact he wanted to have on the world and follow his internal compass.
  • MJ realised that his work is a reflection of his spiritual journey and staying humble and true to his craft helped with this.
  • MJ spends part of his day doing deep work where he can work on his craft and the rest of the time spending time with clients.
  • MJ’s definitions of happiness is spending time in one of his programs he’s created called The Container and the second definition is connecting with his girlfriend.
  • MJ has a routine doing HIIT on the bike, meditation, deep breathing and spend time by the harbour. He writes five things he needs to get done and then three things he’s grateful for.
  • MJ’s last meal on Earth would be a Las Vegas rib eye steak, crispy fries, bearnaise sauce and soda water.
  • MJ’s non-negotiable thing is connecting with himself beyond his mind and building on his intuition.
  • Anything that sacrifices your health for any other outcomes is not conducive to anything and not worth taking the risk. Placing importance on health can answer those honest questions you should ask yourself where you can let go of ego and serve yourself in a positive way.
  • MJ’s inspiration has been his girlfriend, due to her way of dealing with trauma along with idols such as Anthony Robbins, Oprah etc.
  • MJ’s deepest failures beyond what he’s discussed is that he can look back with gratitude is, letting go of some friends that at the time, were good but ongoing weren’t.
  • If MJ is out of his natural state he relaxes his body and tries to go back to his routine.
  • MJ’s laugh out loud moments include stand up comedians like Eddie Izzard, the people in his life and himself.
  • MJ has several gratitude practices - starting with his home country - Australia.
