Auschwitz, Poland Trip with Grant BerryGrant is back from his team’s trip to Auschwitz.
God has his heart and eyes on Poland – this important country and how it relates to Jew and gentiles living together.
When I visited Yad Vashem 2 years ago, I was praying and the Holy Spirit led me to focus on the importance of Poland to him during WWII and today.
More Jews were murdered in Poland than any other nation, including Germany. I found this book while I was visiting the bookstore that was highlighted to me.
This excerpt relates to what I felt the Lord was saying about example of Jews and Gentiles together:
Grant’s ReportPoland, Auschwitz concentration camps, House of Life prayer house, and Fountain of TearsFor the last 9 days of our journey we traveled to Poland joining with a group of mature watchmen / intercessors from the US to pray and intercede for Israel and the Church. Words cannot fully describe all that we experienced during this week of intensive prayer. We had been preparing for this prayer mission for several months while also having a team of intercessors covering and supporting us daily. And we knew and felt strongly that our main focus was to pray for greater life to come out of the death and tragedy of the Holocaust. Remarkable to this focus, is that there are two new ministries the Lord has established right at the feet of the Auschwitz concentration camp. There is an incredible exhibit crafted by Rick ? known as the “Fountain Of Tears”, which uniquely depicts the suffering and death of Yeshua on the cross and the tragedy and deaths of the Holocaust. Plus a House of Prayer called “The House of Life,” which has been established by Mark and Cathy Warwick.
Before we visited Auschwitz, Mark encouraged us to visit the Fountain of Tears first, then the Auschwitz concentration camp, and then to join them at the House Of life.
https://fountainoftears.org/During the week the Holy Spirit led us into some intensive prayer sessions on the property, in the fountain of tears, in the house of life prayer house, and through early morning prayer. We have come away with a much deeper understanding of the significance of this death and suffering and how the rebirthing of the nation of Israel has come out of it. And the Lord led us into specific assignments connected to this focus, some of which were prophetic.
It is a paradox for sure and extremely complex but we have all sensed a deepening of this understanding in our spirits. Not just experiencing the horror of this death but also the life that is coming out of it.

We feel strongly to pray for the healing of a victim spirit that is over both the Jewish and Polish people and there is a great need for greater forgiveness and deeper repentance and reconciliation between the two peoples and between the two countries.
It was no mistake that we were to be here during the Feast Of Tabernacles. As we came to the end of our time in the House Of Life prayer house praying and worshiping and as we were looking on and facing the Auschwitz camp from the balcony windows drawing close to the celebration of Simchat Torah, The Lord gave us an incredible sense of love, peace, and joy. The Lord led us to dance before Him in the spirit, which is also a tradition of Simchat Torah. It is comforting to know that in the greater scheme of things it is all finished with the cross and the resurrection. He has overcome sin and death leading us into spiritual life and freedom.
Roundtable – Dishonest Weights and Scales Embedded in the Modern-day EconomySo, my Dad called me and said he was reading through the Proverbs and the verses about how God hates dishonest weights and scales kept coming up. He thought – hey this is what Gregg is talking about! (in terms of Babylon’s economy and the New Breed of Business)

Tax revenues… began to fall… Therefore, during the reign of Emperor Nero (54-68 A.D.), the government mints engaged in a new and more deceptive practice. They added copper and bronze to the gold and silver before pouring the alloy into molds to make coins. This is known as “debasing” the coins. In the old days, say at the general store, it became a dishonest practice of many shop owners in America where there wouldn’t be any prices on any products. And store owners would charge different people different prices if they thought they could get away with exploiting people. Even poor people.
The Quakers had a reform, where they wanted all their congregants who were shop owners to insure that they would price all products so people would receive transparent and fair pricing (which God loves).

So, we often find people misunderstand what “A Storehouse of God” is all about. It’s not simply storing up supplies and money to guarantee our futures. It’s really a reformation of our hearts in how we deal with money, provision, work and our own needs. And it’s also how we form community and serve one another to facilitate supply for the Kingdom of God here on earth.
Storehouse Vision Unpacked1. Repented LifestyleThe Storehouse Vision is first and foremost an “unlearning” of the ways of this world (unplug from the Matrix) and transform our minds in the knowledge of Christ (plug into the Kingdom of God). Romans 12:2“Right from the time you were born… what your parents taught you… without money you cannot survive.”

Roundtable DiscussionIs modern day capitalism consistent with what the bible teaches about money and business?Let’s start out with Webster’s definition of Capitalism:
Capitalism is an economic system where private individuals or organizations own and control the means of production, and where the free market determines prices and the distribution of goods.
Webster’s Dictionary
Sounds pretty good so far.
1 Private ownership was embraced in the bible by allotting land in Israel to families. Read Numbers 26:53 “the land should be divided for inheritance based on population”
2 Free markets are also in the bible as an extension of the free-will of man. “For this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Houses, fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land.” Jermiah 32:15
However, there were numerous prohibitions tempering this freedom by God. For example, the allotment and inheritance of land was made in proportion to need. It was followed by the concept of Jubilee (returning land to original inheritors, no matter the pledge or debt). Similarly, there was the freedom to lend money, but not to charge interest. Plus, there was a requirement to forgive debts every seven years. Also not to work the land every seven years. No buying and selling of goods within the walls of Jerusalem on the Sabbath. Etc.
Now, let’s take a look at some of the writings of the “Father of Capitalism”, Adam Smith.
It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest

Adam Smith points out here and in his writings that self-interest is what provides for our families – not the benevolence of man (nor the benevolence of God – note connection with Deism below).
Now, lets look at what the bible says about this :
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
Philippians 2:3-4
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:17
The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat
2 Thessalonians 3:10
Seek first the Kingdom of God and righteousness, and all this (dinner, drink, clothes, needs, etc.) shall be added unto you

Which begs the question: what is true work?

Not exactly the same as what Adam Smith suggests. Note the important differences. Its not all about self-interest leading to our provision. Its about trusting God for provision, loving others, working with diligence as unto God, and for God. Where there is need, let us pray and ask for help and wisdom, not trying to scramble, scrape, or horde money, income, profit and gain as though God never assured us.
Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned… to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound… I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

We need to put things into context. Adam Smith was part of the Scottish Enlightenment. Which was connected to the French Revolution and Deism.
In the… Age of Enlightenment or Age of Reason, deism emerged as a theological position that attempted to define the natural world and man’s relationship to God through the application of Enlightenment ideals such as reason, rationality, and order.
The Influence and Legacy of Deism in Eighteenth Century America, Piland
To understand what those movements stood for, we can look to Voltaire, an 18th century French philosopher who believed god was uninvolved in the day-to-day affairs of men, as he was only the “clockmaker of the universe”, leaving men to their own interests. This type of thinking leads down a slippery slope to another enlightenment philosopher’s ideas…

Milton Friedman, Nobel Prize Economics, University of ChicagoFast forward to the 20th century, and we have Milton Friedman, a modern day Adam Smith adherent (that’s an Adam Smith tie he’s wearing).
Here are some relevant Friedman quotes:

A corporation is an artificial person and in this sense may have artificial responsibilities, but ‘business’ as a whole cannot be said to have [social] responsibilities, even in this vague sense.

Here’s the thing: If a corporation is an artificial person, shareholders are also artificial people – or perhaps better said, nameless faceless people who have no soul – no regard for fellow man. Real people can therefore “hide” behind the shareholder “strawman”.

There is one and only one social responsibility of business—to use its resources and engage in activities designed to increase its profits so long as it stays within the rules of the game, which is to say, engages in open and free competition without deception or fraud.

But what of deceptive advertising? Hidden fees? The ol’ bait and switch? The free trip, if we can sell you a condo. There are many such deceptive things permitted “within the rules of the game” today.
Yet, even if we give Friedman the benefit of the doubt here: Is the only requirement of God to commit no fraud or deception? These scriptures contravail such claims:
“Do not oppress the poor because he is poor” – Proverbs 22:22
“And if you sell anything to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor’s hand, you shall not oppress one another.” – Numbers 25:14
“If you lend money to the poor among you, you are not to act as a creditor to him; you shall not charge him interest” – Exodus 22:25
“Do not charge a fellow Israelite interest, whether on money or food or anything else that may earn interest.” – Deuteronomy 23:19
“If a wicked man gives back what they took in pledge for a loan… they will not die.” – Ezekiel 33:15
“When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field. Leave them for the poor and for the foreigners.” – Leviticus 23:22
So, in effect Adam Smith’s philosophies, evolved into the Friedman doctrine, which essentially has created a wall of separation between faith and business – and therefor a moral vacuum, since “corporations are not people” and shareholders are a abstraction, rather than personal reality.
Capitalism looks similar to God’s principles of free-will of man, land ownership, and freedom. But is this, especially in its modern day interpretation, really the same as God’s covenants with men? Or, is it more a like a close cousin?
Perhaps like a butterfly compared with a moth? Both start off as caterpillars, but…
Or sheep vs. goat?
This moral vacuum rationalization of hiding behind corporations, shareholders and profits, echoes of the stories told in the Bible of the Pharisees, who had a form of Godliness, but Jesus labeled them hypocrites and white washed tombs. Their hearts were far from God. They were also identified as lovers of money. Everything looked fine on the outside, but the inside was filthy dirty.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.” – Matthew 23:25
5 Points of how Capitalism differs from God’s Economy* Capitalism embraces Capital as King. The bible says Jesus is King. * Publicly traded corporations have taken Christianity and Judaism out of the board room and any official business. HR enforces such policies. * Capitalism is a structure where capital and shareholders demand a return, without need for personal regard or accountability to human impact – rich or poor, healthy or sick. * Capitalism has been sometimes described as “survival of the fittest”. Wall Street is like that. But did God ever say that men were to behave like animals? * Modern capitalism has depersonalized business. It hides behind “shareholders” and “returns”. It strictly enforces debt “covenants” through litigation. Etc.
Free-market capitalism is the best path to prosperity

Japan’s stock market dropped 20% in 3 days. The US and Europe, almost 10% over the same period. These are some of the largest market drops ever in such a short time span.

If you have time to refresh on those discussions, it helps put into context this week’s market plunge and what is coming – likely over the next several months into 2025.
Much of the conversation has to do with “First Japan, then the US/Europe”.
Basically Japan was set up as a little America post WWII, less the foundations of faith. Their economy is more “Western” than “Eastern” in how their markets and banking are setup. The Yen is closely tied to the Dollar markets.
In a sense, Japan is just doing what we helped teach them to do, but on steroids. Hense, more debt. More money printing. Etc. They pioneered those things. To deal with their financial crash in the late 80s, which led to depression / deflation.
Japan was by some measures was the #1 economy in the 1980s. Now they are the fourth largest economy. They have greatly shrunk.
Japan is essentially like a beta test of Modern Monetary Theory. How far can they (the BOJ and Japanese government) stretch the bounds of monetary policy, quantitative easing, and debt borrowings with a major fiat currency (Yen).

We have previously discussed one of the key global market dynamics: “Why? Because it portends a setup like we had in 2007, whereby the BOJ raises rates prematurely again. Because the Yen carry trade is still “on” in the hedge fund macro world.” (1st Raise BOJ discussion – March 2024)
What is the Carry Trade?
Carry Trade Example:
– Borrow in Yen at 0% interest
– Buy Mexican bonds at 11%
The sharp reversing of the carry trade by hedge funds likely begins a cascading of events which can lead to bursting all sorts of asset bubbles.
Why is the 2nd BOJ raise and “bad for the economy / markets”, both back in 2007 and again in 2024? “It was premature for their economy, which was still greatly depressed and had just turned positive for the first time in a long-time.” (Watch Japan discussion – January 2023). Same reason today. BOJ made the move because they were trying to strengthen the yen and punish speculators. This is like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

A SignThe market drop post the 2nd BOJ move was a sign in 2007 (down 10%), and sense again it is a sign in 2024 (down 20%). It was a sign in February / March 2007 leading to a full blown financial crisis in 2008. Will this recent move and market drop lead to the next financial crisis? Will it be even bigger this time?
We continue to WARN about why the US dollar led global financial markets are being judged – for pride, fear, greed, love of and trust in money, the depersonalization of finance, exploitation of the poor, etc. among many other reasons, just as ancient Egypt and Pharoah were judged for similar issues (read: Ezekiel 29-32). It is a BLIND-SPOT in the US church because of the more recent focus on prosperity, individualism and a no-suffering theology, post WWII.
The Significance of 40000Both the Dow 30 and the Nikkei 225 interestingly reached new highs this year, both surpassing 40000 points. When this happened I was reminded of the number 40 in the bible. Jesus was tested in the wilderness for 40 days. The Israelites were tested in the wilderness for 40 years. So the number 40 is a biblically significant number with the meaning “testing”. I believe too, the world is about to go through a great period (1000 biblically) of financial and economic TESTING.
Come out of BabylonNow, more than ever is time to seek shelter through repentance. We are commanded in Revelation 18:4 to “Come out of Babylon”. Practically, coming out of Babylon is coming out of partnership/ownership of any investments, companies and markets that have drunk the “cup of her abominations”. This includes the stock market.
If I sell my investments, what do I do with the money?The Storehouse Vision is an economic framework that embodies this repentance (in deeds not just words) and we encourage all to pursue what scripture teaches us about trusting in Jesus, not money. There is no “easy” answer, but it requires the messy reality of relationships. Investing personally. Investing locally. Investing cooperatively. Investing actively. It requires listening to Jesus at times “Do not expect anything in return” instead of always demanding an earthly return (or have recourse to claw-back, or sitting back and collecting interest).
To focus on loving one another rather than only or first looking after self. To “not store up treasure on the earth where moth and rust will destroy – where thieves break in and steal”, but instead to “store up treasure in heaven” (Matt 6:19-24). This means relationships in the local and broader community are key. The wealth is in people, not gold, silver, money or stuff. It is fostered in the community. “Investment” takes on a whole new meaning when you look at “not the money that I need in the future”, but the opportunity to invest in the discipleship of people, and the calling God created them to develop into. This includes investment in local businesses owned by people you know. This also means “community banking” that is not part of the Federal Reserve / FDIC fractional banking structure.
Let us Come out of Babylon. Stop trusting in a “money black box” for profit and income. Take down the golden calf.
You have to think “outside the box”.
You have to become an “active investor” where you get involved with people’s lives. Yes, its messy.
You have to learn how to trust God for miracles of provision, even in the desert.
Practical ApplicationShort-term* Sell paper based market investments (stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, annuities, futures, options, whole life policies, mutual funds, closed-end funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, etc.) * Pay off all debts, especially mortgage debt * Withdraw money from the banking system: cash-on-hand * Buy convenient physical stores of value, such gold, silver, oil, grain, water
Long-term* Help friends and family pay off their credit cards, student loans, debts and mortgages where you become the bank instead. Lend biblically. It creates an income stream back to you. Forgive debt periodically. Don’t charge interest. If God’s Economy is giving and receiving, how do we find a fair price between parties in a business exchange that pleases the Father?
Should we give people goods and services for free? Will they or others return the favor in kind or in trade for something else? Will God see it and help us in other ways? Other business opportunities?
Price TransparencyJoel brings up the example of how the Quakers implemented a reform in their owner’s stores – everything marked with a fixed price – as a way of preventing price gouging based on who is shopping in your store. While today such transparency is commonplace, apparently back then it was not. A store owner can always lower the price unilaterally to help someone or promote a sale, but should guard against temptation to exploit someone by charging more just because they can in the fog of a lack of transparent pricing.
Lack of Transparency: MedicalLike in the medical industry, how services and treatment pricing is always after the fact. In fact, most medical practices and hospitals will have people sign a financial responsibility contract, without even knowing what they will be on the hook for later. It’s a trust us, while we don’t trust you situation. Based on a power dynamic where by you need the medical attention, so we have you “over a barrel”. Leading to injustices and price gouging. Often rationalized by “insurance will pay for it”.

Roundtable Discussion – Scenario Planning: Civil WarBackgroundWe have in the past looked at various geo-political and economic scenarios that have prophetic words associated with them on the New Breed of Business. Here is a past such discussion that well describes the exercise: Economic Scenario Planning.
So, the other day I saw news that Texas was establishing a new Stock Exchange to compete with the New York exchanges. Unusual.
I also recalled how recently Elon Musk’s salary and bonus at Tesla famously was struck down by a judge in a Delaware court, where Tesla is incorporated (as well as most corporations). What was the solution? Get shareholders to vote to move the company legal HQ to Texas. The Musketeers got it done and now Musk will now once again receive a huge payday (estimated at $56 Billion).
I wondered: Is this a sign of corporate, legal and financial infrastructure being established in the “Red States” in a potential precursor to secession? The traditional home of exchanges in NYC and legal HQs in Delaware in the United States are now firmly “Blue States”. I’m thinking back to the civil war and how the confederate states wanted to seperate from the Union primarily for economic reasons which slavery was entangled with.
Today is Juneteenth. I didn’t get the inspiration for this discussion because of this day. It happened to be the same day, which I didn’t realize until this week. But I think that it’s interesting. Juneteenth is a remembrance and a celebration of the freeing of slaves and the end of the civil war, originating in Galveston, Texas almost 3 years after the end of the civil war!
Most people know there is undeniable data which reveals economic disparity between blacks and whites in terms of income and wealth. Which leads to questions about systemic racial inequities coming out of the African slave trade, civil war and Jim Crow. It’s complicated by how families were ripped apart as part of that slavery past, leading to similar disparities racially in single mothers vs. married couples, disparity in educational opportunities, the reality of “white flight” out of inner city neighborhoods., etc.

The political discourse in the United States between parties and their Presidential candidates is highly likely to reach new lows of anger and division this fall. We may have riots again like we did in 2020.
Of course, we pray for Jesus – the Prince of peace to come in the midst and heal our nation. But what if what is happening is a judgment on the United States? And we must go through some type of revolution or civil war like we have in the past – which also incidentally was tied to the first and second great awakenings?
And what if it isn’t so clear for Christians as Red v Blue? What if there is a “third column” that we need to be part of – that is the Kingdom of Jesus…

We just got back from an amazing time during Pentecost at the 10 Days of Prayer summit in Western PA. Something is brewing in Grove City! We were hosted by a united prayer and mission base there called The HUB, founded by Brad McKoy.
As we got to talking, it turns out Brad’s vision is very much similar to what we have been envisioning and experiencing in the New Breed of Business, and others – as part of the Storehouse Network – have been experiencing in their cities (such as Gary Crawford in Bradenton, FL with King Station and Chrisopher Lucey with the JAMA base “ARK” in Lindale, TX and Jonathan Serenil in San Antonio with Unite SA. That is to say, a city-wide base for house of prayer, worship, business incubation, church unity, common space use, mission to the city, engagement with all aspects of their community, including the local college campuses.
What’s crazy is the Holy Spirit was speaking to me during worship there at the HUB saying – Grove City is a “Goshen“
after one of our speakers during the summit – Joel McGill, All America – was speaking about “God is extending invitations to the body of Christ to Goshens throughout the United States.” (or similar).
Grove City is at the crossroads of i80 and i79 in Western PA
Another one of the speakers – Neil from Big Life – was encouraging us to “prayer walk” Grove City as a way of touching the lost and the afflicted. I personally felt led by the Lord back to the Marathon gas station near town, so Brett and I ventured out looking for guidance from the Holy Spirit as to who to speak with. Well, long story short, we prayed with one of the cashiers there – let’s call her Monique, who was in need of prayer. Turns out she knew Brad, the HUB and viewed her as a spiritual Dad, having gone through much in her own life – including going to heaven and coming back from the dead. Wow. All of this so confirmed the importance of The HUB – and new wineskin ministries like it all throughout the United States.
The HUBThe hub was established as a prayer and mission base in Grove City, Pennsylvania to serve spiritual family in our region and beyond. The vision for the hub is rooted in the desire to see an “Antioch Community” established in western Pennsylvania, where believers grow in their relationship with God, are trained to follow His teachings and sent out to see the good news of His love spread. In 2011, the Antioch Overflow Experiment (AOX) was planted as a community of simple churches that would host and steward the vision of the hub.
As our house churches began to grow, we started praying for a space to host trainings and times of prayer and worship. In the spring of 2012 we were approached by a local pastor who asked us to pray about whether God would want us to have the building that their church had been meeting in. As we walked through the space, we felt like the space would serve the vision that God had given to us.

BioOur culture and the Bible both paint widows as victims. Yet not every woman gets to be a widow; it is a divine calling. Mary authored a book with this different perspective on loss entitled: Widowhood: A Calling To Leadership.
Mary, who became a widow in 2001, is a former homeschooling mom, retired nurse, associate pastor and ministry leader with a different perspective. Born and raised in Waterbury CT, she initiated a grassroots movement calling people in CT to pray on the National Day of Prayer. This grew into a regional calling with the ministry for the northeast states. In spring of 2020, she heard the calling to move from New England and south to Mississippi, where her daughter lives.
At home with her small group in MissMary is still on assignment for New England, praying for Connecticut and NE pastors and leaders. As she likes to remind herself, she still owns a piece of the Nutmeg state!

He also represented Focus on Israel, a UK based organization that teaches pastors about the importance of Israel and supports local ministries in Israel.

Republic Bank had about $6 billion in total assets and $4 billion in total deposits, as of Jan. 31, 2024. The FDIC estimates that the cost to the Deposit Insurance Fund related to the failure of Republic Bank will be $667 million.

What does it portend for the system as a whole?

What’s going on with the Yen? It hit its lowest point in 34 years this past week. Many speculate the Japanese government had enough and intervened early Monday, aggressively buying Yen. Since they don’t announce their movement in Yen, it remains murky. Some believe the government is signaling a ceiling of 160 Yen/Dollar.
Why is this happening?
It has to do with the policy of the BOJ which may be poised to raise rates from 0% in the near future and that the Federal Reserve is now no longer planning to cut rates from 5.25%. The yield difference creates tension and downward pressure on the value of Yen/Dollar.

Why is this a problem?
As in 2007, if the BOJ raises rates or the Japanese government makes decisions based on pride rather than sound policy, it could trigger another global asset value crisis (2008 was a collapse in mortgage-related debt value). See more below.Relevant Articles

How about this? When we put our “Republic” first – ie ahead of God and what Jesus said about true religion – are we in danger of failing? Similar to the phrase “America First”. Mmm…
- Government of Japan makes aggressive Yen intervention move to hit carry trade based on national pride in Japan and to protect the Yen. This is a very similar dynamic we saw in the beginning of 2007 and portends the danger of another financial crisis we saw in 2008/9.

Yen stats:
– 11% drop against dollar since beginning of year
– Volatility over the weekend of 2% swings highly unusual for major currency
- Commodity prices are starting to take off again
Like the Yen BOJ issue, the recent price spikes in all commodities is very similar to what we saw in 2008. Additionally, inflation is not cooling as expected. It remains stubbornly high (4%) vs. the planned inflation of the Fed (2%). One reason for this is housing remains at an near all time high both for purchase and for rent.

There are many different takes on the end-times. The study of the end-times is called eschatology, which stems from the Greek word eskhatos which means “last”. Some popular eschatology are as follows:
Pre-tribulation Rapture Premillennialism (sometimes referred to as Dispensationalism) – many Pentecostal and Charismatic denominations believe in this idea, which is to say, the end-times will be difficult, but the “Saints” or the “Church” will be raptured up to heaven with Jesus before tribulation begins in earnest. After the church has left, people can still repent, including Jewish people, but it’s their last chance.
Historical Premillennialism – the doctrine of the early church, which essentially is a more literal interpretation of Revelation and the OT prophets. The “catching up” spoken of in 1 Thessalonians 4 is somewhat simultaneous/synonymous with Jesus’ second coming. A simplified way of thinking is that the Church goes up to meet Jesus/Yeshua as He returns to the earth with the other saints riding white horses (Rev 19).
Partial Preterism – the world is getting better, and the Church will continue to rise up in authority until Revelation 11:15 – “the kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdom of Christ”. Much of the tribulation described in the bible was fulfilled in 70 A.D. with the destruction of the Temple.
Amillennialism – there is no literal 1000 year period. For the past 2000+ years we have been in the “Millennium”, this continues until Christ returns, which could happen well into the future.
How too short or long timing of the Second Coming can lead to Replacement TheologyRelated phrases, sayings or ideas leading to replacement theology issues:

Rosie has been a successful entrepreneur in the consumer products area, manufacturing and distributing Oils of Shakan for 8 years. BioThrough Isaiah 61, the Lord called Rosie Dennerlein to go to Uganda in 2015 to promote healing from the inside out…“Proclaim good news to the poor and bring freedom to the captives.” In the Fall of 2019, Rosie, a certified aromatherapist, trained over 100 women to make a mosquito repellant to help prevent malaria. In addition, many healing miracles were witnessed through prayer to Jesus. In February 2022, Shakan Global Mission Inc, a non-profit organization in the USA was birthed to support God’s work. Shakan Global is working jointly with Shakan Mission Uganda, LTD, a NGO in Uganda, registered in September 2022.

Recently a Christian friend of mine in the NYC area who works advising people in the financial markets, highlighted some increasing risks around the world in the new year, beyond what is happening in Israel.
You may recall in past discussions, we have evaluated various geopolitical trends, such as Currency Wars, the Invasion of Taiwan, and Watch Japan.
Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,

So far in 2024, here are a few developments worth noting:
Japanese EarthquakeOn 1/1/24, an earthquake rocked a small city in Japan called Suzu with a 7.6 quake. Japan issued its first tsunami warning since the “big one” hit on 3/11/11. Reuter’s article here.
The very next day on 1/2/24, a JAL airplane unusually crashed into a Coast Guard plane bringing relief supplies to Suzu. Reuter’s article here

One, because of this prophetic idea of first Japan, then USA/ROW. Again, see Watch Japan and Watch BOJ for details on this. And two, because the city is called Suzu, which is also where Suzuki comes from (the former warplane manufacturer and now motorcycle/car manufacturer – I happen to own a 1982 Suzuki GS1100EZ). Suzu means “bell”, and Suzuki means “bell tree”. I.e., a warning, a wake up, an alarm. That phrase “be there with bells on” comes to mind, which is like 2024 is being announced “with bells”.
So, for me God is saying “Be on alert in 2024”. (note Chris Reed and Rick Joyner entitled their 2024 new years conference “Prepare for War in 2024“).
Now back to Israel, and Hezbollah has escalated the fighting there, partly in retaliation to the assassination by drone of Hama’s #2 leader who was in Lebanon at the time. Israel describes the war as a “7 front war”. Seven means “completion” in the Bible (7 days of creation), and it is fair to say that Israel believes it is currently completely at war. We also need to keep in mind, so goes Israel, so goes the Church. Several Christian leaders have made this point, including Jonathan Cahn’s 2024 New Years message here.
China, Russia, Iran, and North KoreaThese four nations represent an axis of power (remember the old “axis of evil” President George HW Bush?) They have positioned themselves against the “West” and its ways (Ukraine invasion, Taiwan threat of reunification, Iran’s commitment to exterminate USA (big Satan) and Israel (little Satan), North Korea intercontinental ballistic nukes) Finland warns of this 4-fold Threat

Stephen Burke worked for 18 years in advertising and public relations before God called him out of his profession in 2004 to begin a ministry He named, The LORD Will Provide. The work began in Guatemala and involved church planting and missions. However, in 2008, God unexpectedly gave Stephen a 2-hour open vision of unprecedented future difficulty that is coming to America and the world. In this vision God also showed Stephen that He is raising up places of refuge to hide, protect and move His chosen people. So, since 2009, the Lord has been connecting Stephen with these places of refuge around the world. His role has been to encourage them and to let them know they’re not alone. God has a global plan for His people in the midst of trouble and even now is preparing for these days.

The Vision1. Two hands grasping a batton, but the batton was disintegrating. Stephen knew this represented people gasping on to / trusting in our US banking and financial markets / systems, but they were not as solid as they appeared, and were turning into dust.

Next saw a beautiful tapestry woven together. Masterfully done. Represented the USA.

A flash of light came from far away in the east (across the Atlantic ocean). Stephen now believes this represents the unprovoked Hamas attack killing 1200 Jews in Israel. It was a significant event in the vision. And as such Stephen believes it begins the time of the “Hunter” spoken of in Jeremiah 16:16, for the end-times scenerio, where Jewish people make Aliyah to Israel more urgently.

A dark net was unseen but woven into the fabric of the US. Then, suddenly a T-Rex made out of the hidden dark webbing, stood up and was hinged on the east coast and began to devour anything that rose up against it. T-Rex means “tyrannical ruler”, which Stephen believes represents the anti-Christ spirit.

The interstates shut down. Electricity shuts down. Many things we depend on no longer function. There was a platform from which Stephen could see these things happening.

There was a underground bunker down from the platform where many beleivers gathered. There was food and other essentials stored there. Many were freaked out and were initially a burden to the remnant group who had prepared for such a situation. After a while, they too became productive and could help assist people get to where they needed to go in times of difficulty and troubles.

Bank of Japan RumblingsJust this past week, a couple of BOJ governors started making public comments leading the international financial community to believe the BOJ would soon start raising rates (short term Japanese interest is -0.10% – yes they will pay people to borrow money in order to stimulate economic growth).
Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said on Thursday Dec 7th he told Prime Minister Fumio Kishida the central bank will scrutinise the strength of domestic demand and next year’s wage outlook in guiding monetary policy.
The remarks came in the wake of those by Deputy Governor Ryozo Himino on Wednesday Dec 6th elaborating on the potential impact an exit from ultra-loose monetary policy could have on the economy.
The BOJ next meets for a rate review on Dec. 18-19, followed by another meeting on Jan. 22-23 when it conducts a quarterly review of its growth and inflation forecasts.

Economic Financial Troubles ComingIn 2008/9 during the financial crisis, I felt the Lord was sharing a few things:
- This is not the end of troubles, but the beginning of troubles
- Ezekiel 29-32 is a 7-fold judgment of Egypt, Pharaoh, and Pharoah’s pride. They thought they were like God. Just like the tower of Babble in Gen 11. Just like the pride of Nebuchadnezzar. America has a similar pride today, especially in the strength of its financial markets, its currency, its economic power. I felt God speaking through this scripture that so too would America’s economic power be greatly humbled. The scripture speaks of 40 years. Japan has been going through economic trouble for now 34-37 years depending on how you measure it.

Maja’s key follow-up question THIS WEEK is focused on how the Storehouse works. If someone takes money out of the stock market, where can they invest it? And if you want to invest it into a Storehouse, how do you do it?
Specifically: Say that someone sells $10,000 of stock and wants to invest it in a Storehouse. Is it still considered that person’s money and could it be taken out – like for example if that person wanted to bless their whole family and take them to Israel? It’s not like a need but they would need that money in order to do it… Is that looked down upon (in the community) because it was “given” to the storehouse or is it still theirs?

Much of which is focused on having good character. Not taking shortcuts. Working diligently. Helping the poor and the disadvantaged. Also how wisdom is superior to material wealth. And heavenly riches are superior to early wealth.
Then in part 2, we will see how Jesus builds on these truths, taking them further in the department of trusting God with all by Faith, even if it is to our seeming detriment (to make a way for ourselves, to defend ourselves or bring justice). This also includes operating in miracles and wonders in the area of provision. (We are calling this “201” or “301”).
Quick Example:Foundational 101 Proverbial Wisdom: “A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich” (Proverbs 10:4)
Supernatural 201 Faith in God: “Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given unto you as well” (Matthew 6:33)
We discuss wealth. The difference between material wealth and spiritual riches. How material wealth is desirable and can be a good thing. If it is brought by the hand of the Lord and by diligent work, that is a wholesome thing. However, if it comes from worldly, even evil character traits (selfish ambition, profit at the expense of others, idolization, unhealthy material desire, etc.) it can be a corrosive and corrupting thing. Think of Zacchaeus before and after.

Dan’s StoryMy personal journey and being pursued by the Lord starts after I was on Wall Street in the late 1990s and 2000s. And the sort of lifestyle that entails and all the darkness it brought me into.
(Dan started his Wall Street career at Lehman Brothers in investment banking, then moved into private real estate investment, but prior to that he was a speechwriter in Congress for an elected official after graduating Dartmouth as their #1 tennis player.)
God never gave up on me. He used Gregg and the New Breed of Business Bible study as a lifeline and way back to Him – which kept me connected, even if by a thread, with St. Paul Westport. St. Paul ultimately, years later, played a huge role in both myself and my daughter being saved by Jesus. I really feel God’s main purpose in keeping Gregg and I close and St. Paul in the picture was so I would be able to later bring my daughter to Church as a highschooler, at a time when we both needed Jesus desperately. And through that, and in the years that followed, I was brought so much closer to the Lord in my own relationship with Him (including through a St. Paul mission trip I went on with my daughter this past summer).
I truly have seen miracles happen and many of my prayers answered – including in the recent hiring of a Christian ex-colleague where I work. God’s fingerprints were all over that. It’s still a real challenge for me to fully rely on the Lord. I was always programmed growing up with the value of self-will, self-power and hard work, etc. I really need to have Church and friends and small groups and things like that so I don’t stray too far off the path and become overwhelmed.
(Today, Dan still works in real estate, but he is now focused on affordable housing and trying to make a difference in what he does at work to help people.)

Doug TjadenDoug has written a good primer to learn more about a biblical worldview of economy and the history of money: I Came to Give (with this link you can sign up and get access to the eBook and Audiobook). Doug has also made available a PDF version of Part 2 of his book. It is called “The Traditions of Men” and is a dive into monetary history from 600 B.C. to present.
In addition to Doug’s founding role in Regeneco, he is head of Marketing and Business Development for OWNx. Doug has a deep background in the Sound Money movement, including the Ron Paul days of reforming our money supply and the Fed.

We will hear from David Qu who lives with his family in Cincinnati Ohio about his journey as a businessman and Christ follower. Having emigrated from China as a young man, worked at A.T. Kerney (renowned management consulting firm) for blue chip publicly traded clients (Ford, Pratt and Whitney, Johnson Controls, etc.), to later start his own business with his wife, dedicated to the Lord focusing on advising middle market private companies with strategic direction and transitions.
David, Angela and I first met in Sweden at the ICCC conference in Stockholm late last year, through Jimmy Wong and Gary Crawford. David was intrigued by the New Breed of Business and my background which in many ways was similar to his own.
Having been on similar yet different faith journeys, we will focus tomorrow’s discussion on what taking such a path is like – leaving corporate America with its steady pay, but restricted freedoms, then pursuing a God given dream by faith of being in business on our own, having the freedom to follow and honor God.

I immigrated to the United States at the age of 14 with my parents and started learning English in 9th grade. The first book I read in high school was Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.
Over the next eight years, I excelled academically, put myself through schools, and graduated with an engineering degree and Chairperson’s award from the #2 public university in the country.
I spent the next two-plus decades of my career working with and for the biggest Fortune 500 companies globally across all facets of businesses. As an engineer, program manager, management consultant, and corporate strategy and M&A executive of multi-billion companies, I traveled the world in all forms of transportation and moved my family of four, four times across continents. My faith journey also started shortly after my arrival to the U.S. I attended a Mennonite church in Virginia throughout my high school and was baptized in my senior year after confessing Jesus died for my sins. From there, I experienced God’s love in college and was baptized in the Spirit at the age of 25. On that journey, I have sought God in multiple denominations of the Christian faith, as well as witness the role of faith in the global marketplace.
When we arrived in Cincinnati on Christmas of 2019, my five-year-old son had lived in six cities and three continents.
The COVID pandemic shifted my perspective and I left the W-2 world. It was more than a career change, but of a different mindset, priorities, and personal identity. It has been a journey of personal awakening, humility, and faith.

Manatee County Storehouse
Dale Schlafer BioDale Schlafer has served as Cofounder and President of the Center for World Revival & Awakening since 1998. The Center is a worldwide ministry dedicated to building the Kingdom of God by promoting the revival of the church, the awakening of the lost, and the reformation of society. “When Revival is the experience of the church, evangelism becomes the expression of the church. When evangelism is the expression of the church, a changed society will be the evidence of those changed lives,” says Schlafer.
In 2004 the Schlafer’s moved, at the Lord’s direction, from Denver Colorado, where they had lived and ministered for 32 years, to the West coast of Florida. Because they had received a word that this area was to become a “refuge area,” they began gathering people to pray & seek the Lord as to what this meant.
By 2010, 37 congregations cancelled their Sunday worship services at their facilities to come together for worship in a convention center. So many people attended they ran out of chairs! Leaders of para church ministries joined pastors to come to the front and they repented for their sin of sectarianism and competition. The congregation as well acknowledged their sin.
This repentance led to the writing of a document in the ensuing months entitled “Alignment for Assignment.” (see www.ONEOMC.org click resources to find paper). This then launched an entire new direction for the area as we seek to understand how this new paradigm for doing ministry together, without giving up the distinctions of a particular congregation, is accomplished.
In 2010 we also learned more as to what a refuge area is. We sensed that we were to be a safe place where Jews, returning to Israel would find refuge, care and help to get to Israel. Since that time we have connected with people all over the world from Australia, South America & Europe. All of these people have heard the same thing. Something is coming that will propel Jews to return to Israel in enormous numbers. This refuge calling is everything from individuals sensing to build a room, a cabin an underground safe place, to geographical areas sensing that they, like we in Florida, are to be prepared for this ministry of passing Jews on to the next safe place.
Schlafer served for 28 years as a local pastor – twenty two in Denver, Colorado & prior to that six years in New Jersey. He also served as the first chairman of the board of Promise Keepers, a men’s ministry, before joining the staff full time in 1994. This experience along with his years of itinerant revival ministry following his time at Promise Keepers and the recent years in Florida, have given him a unique understanding of The Church, especially the concept of how to do Territorial Church and the use of the Five-Fold ministry gifts.
Schlafer has contributed to numerous books on prayer and men’s ministry. NavPress published his “Revival 101-How Christ Ignites His Church, in 2003.”
The Schlafer’s were married for fifty-three years and have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Is Moral Hazard a Moral Hazard?Moral hazard is a phrase used to describe allowing bad behavior in the financial markets. For example: in capitalism the free market is thought to self-correct greed and fear by the “invisible hand“. But if government or regulators bail-out bad actors, they can be perceived to allow bad behavior, such as greedy investing. A classic example of this was back in the financial crisis when Lehman Brothers was allowed to fail after the regulators bailed out Bear Stearns earlier that year through a forced sale to JPM.
The idea has merit on the surface – set an example by allowing bad actors to “fail”, that way others will think twice before thinking being so greedy. The problem is, it is hypocrisy if the “pot calls the kettle black” which is to say, if market participants punish the greediest, but applaud their slightly less greedy investment structures, that is nothing but hypocrisy

Hank Paulson during the financial crisis of 2008 was faced with these and many other dilemmas. The day after they allowed Lehman to fail, they had to bail out AIG, which was a far worse problem. WAMU failed. Other banks and financial institutions failed. The cost of attempting to let Lehman fail in the name of moral hazard was TARP and massive, broad based bailing out of the financial system to rebuild confidence.
Other examples of moral hazard arguments are made about Student Loan forgiveness. This is a strange one, because the bible says to forgive all debts every seven years. But many Christians are decrying the government forgiving student loans by saying “what about all the responsible people who didn’t go into debt?”. However, we have to be careful not to embrace envy: “hey, how come they got free money and I didn’t?” At the same time, the only way we can forgive federal student debt is to pay it off with general federal debt. So, its not forgiving debt so much as it is shifting debt. An argument can be made this is better, but… This is our reality right now. We are faced with just a series of bad choices.
Speaker McCarthy’s DilemmaThe Republicans hold a narrow margin in the house right now. Speaker McCarthy’s election is on even thinner ice. Because a block of ultra-conservatives (House Freedom Caucus) put him over the top earlier this year, they also now have a gun held to his political head saying in essence: “if you don’t get the Democrats to agree to spending cuts, we will vote you out”. Back to Moral Hazard, the argument made by such financial hawks are: “if we don’t starting cutting our spending, we are going to go bankrupt as a country”. However, if the US government runs out of money through these negotiations, it may imperil our ability to continue to borrow money as a country. If that happens, the USD could partially fail and be relegated to just another currency. In other words, we risk losing being the world’s reserve and settlement currency. Many dominos could fall.
So is the debit limit brinksmanship liken to letting Lehman fail? Time will tell…
Chicken or Egg?The last time the nation faced the debit ceiling crisis and not being able to service its debt was back in 2011 and 2013. We have a window into the discussions that were held then. Ben Bernanke explained that the first cuts would come to other government services, not principal and interest payments on the debt. Is that still the case? We will find out. What then will get cut? Social Security would be a political smartbomb. What else could get cut. Would that then create a partial government shutdown? Will the June 15th tax receipts be enough to limp through?

Question: If we had a run on the banks and the financial markets (people pulling out hard cash from banks and money market (read short term bonds), would there be enough currency on hand to satisfy a run? If there is not enough, what then will the regulators do?

Peter Rondeau is a friend and Kingdom unity catalyst hailing from New Hampshire. We met through a New England Alliance young leaders retreat several years ago. Peter is also an entrepreneur, having created a school textbook business from the ground up listening to the Lord.
Here Peter’s background :
In 2008, Lord gave me a textbook business that as I listened to him and did what he showed me. It rapidly increased as the market decreased. Did this until 2013 when the Lord invited me to “follow Him” and I left the business and followed Him. First destination was NH where I served a youth focused traveling discipleship ministry. After that the Lord sent me to Iris Leaders school in California for 9 months. After school I returned to NH and served in the house of prayer in Manchester while also connecting believers in the region.
Soon after got married to Greta and started a family as well as a residential remodeling business. This business allowed us to buy a rundown house, renovate it and sell it after enjoying it for 2 years.
He then led us as a family to “follow him” and we moved into an RV and followed where He led us! We started with one child and have added two more children since being “on the road”.
We’re being led towards starting more businesses that will fund the Kingdom and the things on His heart for the coming years!
Our family’s favorite song is “into the unknown” because the Father has proven Himself faithful over and over again as we orient our lives to carry out His plans here.
Family retreat center idea NH
Areas of Refuge VisionGod has him and his family on a unique RV journey throughout the country. Here is a vision he had recently which will be the basis of our discussion :
One night, after the kids were asleep, we joined together to praise the Lord and pray. I entered into a vision and appeared before me were communities of refuge all along I-81. This interstate highway runs all the way from Eastern, TN all the way to Canada! I saw them as necessary hubs, holistic communities that provided housing, food, training and care for a later to be known future need. I sensed there would be need for medical care and spiritual care. I sensed there would be need for these communities to be self-sustaining with income/business options, farms and food, an abundance of housing options and meeting spaces. I sensed that there was some type of upcoming event (even nuclear) on the east coast and this was the place where much of the eastern seaboard would run to for refuge.
Laying the Right FoundationsPeter and I have been having great conversations about humility and selflessness. Business opportunities given by God are more open-architecture green houses than “keep-it-secret and corner the market” kind of thing. The former is Kingdom and the latter is the way of worldly business thinking. This is the New Breed of Business.
Likewise, Peter says:
We’ve learned that community for the sake of doing community is also inherently selfish. It has to be laid-down love that looks like surrender and sacrifice. Aka Jesus. Do we want eternal foundations? Or Hype? (social media etc.)

I see the Lord, raising up a countless number of home and parent type scenarios around the world that are being made ready to welcome the hurting and broken. So many that no one person or group can take credit for this move of God. These ones are being trained to come out of tradition and religion (which has a focus on form and function). They are being drawn to come back to learning Gods ways of love and family. Taking spiritual elitism, tradition and language out and replacing it with Gods original design of conversational talk leading to a (super)natural enjoyable life of surrender. One that starts in the Spirit and flows to the natural. I see these parents and families being ready to welcome a large number of children home and these children carry inside of them the blueprints and plans on the heart of the Father for his thoughts (glory) to cover the earth in the next season. Habakkuk 2:14. These children and plans will come disguised as broken vessels, often offensive to the religious. The parents job is to help them learn how to obey everything The Father has commanded, showing them who they are in Jesus first, then releasing and encouraging them to follow His commands and walk out the vision He has placed in their hearts! Currently we feel led to “relationally connect” these groups to create a larger “net” so nobody gets missed whom God has called home. These separate groups or “networks”, move and live as if they are one as we are One Body, the body of Christ. Nothing is their own, homes, land, wealth, etc.

Kingdom Wealth TransferThe other dimension of our discussion is Kingdom wealth. Here are some thoughts from Peter on that…
The transfer of wealth from the wicked to righteous. I know we have an ever evolving understanding of the ways of the Lord, but I wanted to share an insight The Lord has given me about one way it can work and is playing out currently in our lives.
From 2008 to about 2013 I had a college textbook business. I would buy college textbooks from college professors that publishers had sent them for free as junk mail type marketing material in hopes that the professor will adopt their book and therefore would have X amount of books sales at usually around $200 a book. It’s no secret that the publishing industry is certainly overpriced and arguably greedy. So because of this giant, standing up, if you will, perhaps, could even be referred to as the prostitute of Babylon. She created a shadow market that allowed us to come in and provide a win-win situation for everyone else, but the wicked. We provided a recycling source for these un-asked for books, which put cash in the hands of professors, then we sold them to another Christian owned company who employed many believers, who then sold them back to students at a reduced price. Our market would not have existed if the book was not originally priced at +/- $200. Therefore, it allowed us to accumulate the wealth that the evil created until that market no longer existed or shifted as it has.
In my own personal story, this is what enabled me to be a missionary to New Hampshire for the years, leaving South Carolina, and before I got married. The Lord in His wisdom allowed me the freedom to just serve him from the fruits of serving Him in the business that He had given me.
Fast forward to today, I see the same thing happening in the solar and lithium industry.
Just a few days ago, the Lord connected me with a source with a consistent supply of larger sized lithium batteries that still have about three years left on their service life. My guess (hunch) is they probably have 2 to 3 times what the manufacturer state is left in them. The industry that they came from would take no chances in a battery failing so, they probably de-rated their life from the manufacturer and then the end user also did the same.
My hunch is that the US probably won’t get to the place where we ever get the production up to the current (inflated) demand, because the industry will likely shift with political powers, etc. so it seems like a window of time (~5 years) for this opportunity. Other battery types are more sustainable and less destructive to the earth, but not widely manufactured yet.
The southeast is becoming the auto manufacturing center of the US and with the shift to EV stuff, battery recycling companies are setting up plants near these auto manufacturers.
The other side of this is used solar panels! Many industries have panels piling up and don’t have a way to discard them, there are already some companies selling used panels. I have access to these also.
Looking into it now to ponder which business model best reflects the fathers heart, so that we can make this a community business that can support his kingdom, I am eyeballing a “benefit corporation” but not set on anything.

In January of this year, God impressed us to hold a “Scenario Planning” discussion. Remarkably, there were several quotes from the various scenarios which turned out to be prophetic:

Remarkably, the 3 hypothetical scenarios touched on MUCH OF WHAT IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW. Praise God for the preparation of his people.

Prophetic Word from 2008Just as it looked like there was light at the end of the tunnel during the 2008 financial crisis (after TARP, bailouts, Lehman’s failure, etc.), I felt the Lord say:
“this is not the end – it is only the beginning of the end”.
With that He gave me Ezekiel 29-32, a section of scripture known as the “Coming judgment of Egypt”.
This is also known as the “seven-fold judgment against Egypt”
There is a timeframe in this passage of 40 years
And I felt like the Lord was saying this is coming in waves of shaking – possibly 7 waves or a ‘complete set’ of waves, which started in 2001:
2001 911 Attacks
2007-9 Financial Crisis
2020 Covid19
2022-23 the emerging banking crisis…
Further, I felt the Lord was saying the US led Global Financial Markets and Banking (ie, Milton Freedman’s clinical capitalism) were likened to the pride of “Pharaoh” and the strength of “Egypt” and was being judged accordingly.
The main sins of Egypt were: pride, self-interest, self-made man, worship of man’s hands (eg, technology), military power, idolatry of money, exploitation of the poor, etc. AND the seduction of the Church (Israel) into all of the same.
This passage has several prophetic keys:
Ezekiel 29: 3-9 “Pharaoh king of Egypt,
the great dragon that lies
in the midst of his streams,
that says, ‘My Nile is my own;
I made it for myself.’
I will put hooks in your jaws,
and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales;
and I will draw you up out of the midst of your streams,
with all the fish of your streams
that stick to your scales.
And I will cast you out into the wilderness,
you and all the fish of your streams;
you shall fall on the open field,
and not be brought together or gathered.
To the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the heavens
I give you as food.
Then all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord.
“Because you have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel,
when they grasped you with the hand, you broke and tore all their shoulders;
and when they leaned on you, you broke and made all their loins to shake.
Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will bring a sword upon you,
and will cut off from you man and beast,
and the land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste
Then they will know that I am the Lord.

AT1 bonds are a newfangled instrument that changes the capital structure. Dubbed bail out bonds, the bonds aren’t worth anything if the bank fails through central bank bailout or government takeover.
What to Do?As always, we will discuss how the Storehouse Vision is already directly addressing these financial judgments through repentance/reformation, and by bringing believers together in community to “love one another” which means to invest in one another. The question is not: how do I preserve my wealth? But: What is God saying in the midst of this shaking and how do I respond to come into alignment with heaven?

Roundtable Discussion:Economic Scenario PlanningTomorrow we will discuss three possible future financial/economic scenarios and how God’s people can start to prepare now. We will do this as a way of thinking differently – as a New Breed of Business people – and how we can react well during times of uncertainty and shaking. This will help prepare us today for how to plan and live out our faith now and for the future. By the Spirit and in the natural. A hybrid of heaven and earth.
The discussion format will be this: we’ll lay out three scenarios and you – the NBB “management team” – will brainstorm about what could be done to address certain situations that may emerge. We will also evaluate and test the Storehouse models for how they would work under such scenarios.

Pierre Wack – Royal Dutch ShellBack in my strategic planning days in banking, we used a tool/method developed in the 1960s and 1970s known as “Scenario Planning“. This was made famous by Royal Dutch Shell, who through the leadership of Jimmy Davidson, head of Shell’s economics and planning, brought Ted Newland and Pierre Wack together as in-house “futurists”. The duo had a knack for shaping plausible, yet unlikely, future scenarios. And Wack, through his flair of his storytelling developed as a former magazine editor, was highly effective presenting such scenarios to executive management. They were able to imagine future scenarios and “think outside the box” of regular management and planning to solve potential problems. Wack was able to get management to react to his “what would you do if?” type of questions. What emerged were common solutions that came out of the divergent future scenarios. This allowed for Shell to prepare ahead of time for what might eventually come. And it did.
Shell famously prepared well for not one, but several crises. The oil embargo of the 1973 middle east crisis was the first. Their management team was prepared for this. All of their competitors were caught out, unprepared. And in turn, Shell thrived during those times of crisis and increased their market share and profitability.
OK, so how does this translate for us?
Three Scenarios for Discussion1. China invades Taiwan. The US and its allies in the region hesitate militarily, and decide once again to extend its Russia-type sanctions against dollar trade with China and its allies. But it backfires as supply chains are even more disrupted than during COVID19. Further, it backfires as an Eastern block of nations coalesce with many OPEC nations, distancing themselves from the dollar and trading petro-yuan and petro-rubles instead. Israel finds itself having to develop relationships beyond the US for its financial, energy and economic security.

2. A new global financial crisis emerges and US banks close for a period of six months, when the banks reopen the government bails-in the banking system by renegotiating loans and haircutting deposits.

3. Inflation takes off again and the economy goes into recession. Many staples become scarce (famine). US Government receipts decline, so it has to borrow much more – well beyond its capacities to repay. The Fed tries to keep raising interest rates to tamp inflation, but now all sorts of unintended consequences arise. The government can no longer afford to pay its interest, and there is no political will to keep raising rates. So the Fed reverses course and prints money in a desperate attempt to revive the economy. All global credibility and trust in the dollar goes away. People panic and a run on the banks ensues. The existing USD effectively starts to fail. As a result, FDIC deposits are frozen. Debts can no longer be paid with old dollars. After a brief time, a new CBDC (digital dollar) is introduced that the banks have been testing behind the scenes. Old dollars are no longer accepted for many things. If you want to use old dollars, you have to bring them in for destruction, and only then are you issued new digital currency at 100:1. But that dollar is now controlled by a central authority. You can only use your money to purchase approved items. Rations are also introduced. Paper money is gone instantly because in the crisis, Americans become desperate to try something, anything. Democrats and Republicans alike.

Roundtable Discussion:First Troubles in Japan, then US/WorldA headline caught my attention Dec 20th: Bank of Japan shocks global markets with bond yield shift. What was the shift? The BOJ was winding down the yield curve management that was ushered in by Haruhiko Kuroda as BOJ President starting 2013. He has indicated he will not seek reappointment at the end of his term April, 2023.
Why does this matter? Because it could be a signal that the BOJ reserves the right to raise short-term interest rates at some point in the future. It could happen quicker than we think. This could portend other global financial events taking place, as it did last time.
When was the last time this happened? 16 years ago at the end 2006 and the beginning of 2007. The BOJ raised rates. It was unexpected. It was premature for their economy, which was still greatly depressed and had just turned positive for the first time in a long-time.
The Lord visited me with a word on Jan 2, 2007 when our family was in St. Thomas. Here is a summary:
This word changed my life. The net result of its coming to pass, for me personally, was that it marked a shift in my way of thinking from simply running a specialized US long-short, public-private hedge fund using Wall Street models, into thinking globally, and paying attention to the macro financial markets (such as currencies), with the opportunity to shift generations of wealth for good. This also coincided with a shift in my business practices away from pure capitalism and into biblical economy (business reform) and with that, the Storehouse vision. God making ready Storehouses of finance and resources throughout the earth for his Kingdom’s purposes. Like a type of global endowment for the Church at large, if you will.
The Japanese stock market never recovered – even 35 years later…
Back to Japan…So what emerged from all this is there seems to be a financial pattern: first Japan, then the US/rest of the world. Fittingly, Japan is known as the land of the rising sun. Where does the sun rise first? In the east. In Japan. What happens to the Japanese experiment in monetary policy has then flowed into the rest of the world’s thinking, starting in the US.
Let’s look at some important – not so great – firsts and facts:

Now, I’m not sure exactly why Japan seems to be a leading indicator for the Western world’s central banks and economies.
Some believe that the USA missed the opportunity to introduce the gospel and Christianity to Japan in the post WWII reconstruction period. Unlike Europe, Japan’s nation was never rooted in Christianity. Instead, the US helped reconstruct and “Westernize” Japan’s economy post-WWII through introducing democracy and capitalistic economy, banking and financial markets. But, the absence of any Judeo-Christian moral grounding and guardrails, its implementation led to the decade of Japanese decadence and triumphalism of the 1980s. Japan’s economy grew twice as fast as the US from 1960-1989. By some measures, Japan was briefly the #1 economy in the world in the late 1980s. Its financial markets were on a tear. Its real-estate was the most expensive in the world. Its manufacturing efficiency and quality was the envy of the world (remember Kaizen and Just-In-Time manufacturing?)
But not anymore.
Bob Jones Earthquake PropheciesThere is a key prophetic pattern to understand that relates the geo-physical to the geo-political/financial: The Bob Jones earthquake prophecies. Both natural and economic earthquakes.
- First Japanese Quake -> then West Coast USA Quake
- First Japan Quake -> then US/global economic meltdown
Bob Jones Earthquakes Dream/Vision 1989 (incidentally the year the Nikkei also tanked):
- First, a N. California Coast quake will be witnessed all around the world (fulfilled Oct 17, 1989 during world series televised game)
- Second, a Japanese major quake (fulfilled March 11, 2011)
- Third, a major California quake (beyond what has been seen – not yet fulfilled)
Related to this second and third quake is an “economic unraveling”, a “financial collapse”, “economic meltdown”, that will hit the US and the world. It is a judgment of God and the grace in its aftermath to reform.

Today we share testimonies of coming out of financial Egypt / Babylon and trusting God instead for provision with miracles coming forth. No half in, half out. No one foot in the world, one foot in the Kingdom. No Plan “B”.
We discuss the importance of avoiding fallback plans as FAITH-KILLERS and SELF-SABOTAGE, subconsciously or otherwise. Often this has to do with fear and control. When we fully trust God and eliminate fall-back plans, God honors our faith and often involves miracles.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him

Part of the discussion will surround the implications of leaving behind institutional debt and mortgages, FICO scores, stock market gains, 401k/IRA retirement plans, bigger barns, etc. We will hear testimony of vows made in obedience to God and their scriptural precedent.

Chris Lucey is the CAO of JAMA Global Foundation (Jesus Awakening Movement for America) and member of the Joint Executive Team (JET). Prior to this he was the Managing Director of Frontiers Ventures (formally the US Center for World Missions).
JAMA is building a “collaborative kingdom community”. A mix of advanced program offerings challenging emerging leaders to top-level senior executives/ elders. JAMA is raising up the next generation of global servant-leaders, business innovators and missionally-minded entrepreneurs and thought leaders.
Christopher is transforming JAMA (2.0) by leading a pioneering work that includes creating housing for returning/ retiring missionaries from their field of service so they can “finish well”. The housing is designed to be affordable with a generational perspective. They also would like to honor and incorporate the missionaries as Adjunct Professors at the college located on the JAMA Campus (Fall 2024).

Interview: Tom Dupree, co-founder Dupree Financial Group Let’s welcome Tom, regular participant with the New Breed tribe Wed mornings to hear his testimony, his 3rd generation investment background, his calling, and how that fits together with the new thing God is doing in business and finance.
Thomas P. Dupree, Jr., is an investment advisor representative with over 39 years of experience in the business. Tom spent 18 years with a major financial services company and served as portfolio manager for a Lexington-based mutual fund. Tom founded Dupree Financial Group in 2003 in order to provide fee-based investment advice to individuals and families of those preparing for retirement and already in retirement. His primary purpose is to provide excellent service and unbiased financial advice to these folks based on thorough research and tenacious fact-gathering. Tom promotes his ideas about investing and other issues on a weekly radio program. He graduated from the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee in 1978.
I was born in Harlan, KY, a small coal mining town in SE KY in 1956. Was affected greatly by mountain culture and the close knit character of a small town. Harlan had been an economic powerhouse in the 30s and 40s but was beginning to lose steam by the 50s. Today there is almost no coal being mined in Harlan County. There is a small amount of oil and gas and a good bit of timber production. In Harlan my grandfather, who was originally from Louisville KY, started a small investment firm in 1938. That was where my father worked after graduating from Yale as an economics major, and four years in the Navy including the Korean War.. He was anxious to get out of Harlan, which was probably wise.
Family moved to Lexington, KY in 1963. Dad started an office of F.L. Dupree and Company. I attended a small private school called Sayre named for David Sayre, a banker fron New Jersey. Happy memories as a grade schooler but by high school I was really lost and entered the drug world. This was my springboard into a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I had grown up an Episcopalian and was very involved in the church even when I was wandering into drugs and rock and roll. Acolytes and choir. When I met Christ it was at a place in Lexington called Christ Center. This was founded by Paul and Becky Petrie. It was basically a Christian commune. Doing drugs was causing big problems for me and my mother took me down to this place. At one of their meetings I accepted Christ fully despite having made a profession of faith at the Billy Graham crusade a year earlier. Soon after this I asked God to baptize me in the Holy Spirit. I received the gift of tongues at age fifteen. My early teachers I followed were Derek Prince, Bob Mumford, and Jamie Buckingham. These were leaders of the charismatic renewal of the day. Later I got into Corrie Ten Boom and Richard Wurmbrand.
I went to Sewanee, also called the University of the South for college. It is in Tennessee. This was encouraged by our Episcopal rector, who was also charismatic, named Moultrie McIntosh. It was a good choice for me. Majored in English, Never had any intention to get into the investment business with my Dad because I considered it unspiritual. Today I agree with that assessment more than I did then! But God can use anything.
After college I began to work at my Dad’s firm as a municipal bond salesman. I decided that I could reconcile my spirituality with being in business. Sounds kind of goofy today but back then I struggled with it. I had been somewhat liberal in college but changed my tune when I began to learn how business relationships work. Delicate and fragile. Could have something to do with the difference between North and South. Although I had some great relationships in NYC.
Worked at UBS/PaineWebber for 19 years. Started Dupree Financial Group in 2003. Decided to make it into something that embodied the best things I had learned while working at the wire house. Providing very personalized advice to investors who because of their size might not get white glove treatment form the larger firms. At first we did seminars. Close to 150 of them. Then I started the radio show. Very productive for a while but fell off. Now Facebook.
I went through some great difficulty within the last couple of years. I found the deeper I got into trouble the more I had to relinquish control over my own life. All aspects. This was the cross and having things forcibly taken away from me. My experience has been that God simply did for me what I could not do for myself.You can’t get in enough trouble that God cannot get to you and take over your life. This is what the alcoholics talk about in AA but I was able to fully experience it. Not an experience that I would recommend to anyone!
As for economic theories, I have very few. I believe persistence is important in any endeavor, spiritual and temporal. Faith is the thing that wins the day. Most government and other efforts to make the economy more “fair” are disruptive in a harmful way. I know this from personal experience. Even if they debase the currency beyond recognition, persistence and faith will still be around.

Emancipation from economic slavery : 1. Come out of Babylon / Exodus from Egypt (what is spiritual Babylon? Egypt?) 2. Divorce Baal / Divorce Mammon (what does this mean?)
Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. Here is a vow before God… …to trust him at his word – That he is provider Matt 6:33 and as part of “be the lender, not the borrower”, Deut 28:12. This vow can help you come out of being a slave in “Egypt”, to come out of “Babylon” – i.e., the ways of this world when it comes to money and economic provision:
a. Commit to “no more debt” (commitment to no new bank debt and avoid refinancing to ‘solve’ financial problems (i.e., cash-out refi) on homes, cars, credit cards, etc. There is no such thing as “good” financial institution debt – recognize it is highly likely no one will or can help you if you have trouble repaying and therefore be prepared to be sued, repo’ed and/or foreclosed. Make a sincere commitment to exit financial institution debt before God.
b. Don’t ask man for help/money
I’ve never seen the righteous’ children beg bread”

c. Ask God (through prayer for Him to provide, including miracles) d. Don’t try to solve the problem in your own strength (I’ll be a slave until I earn my way out)

Recently, I heard the phrase “NE Center for the Abolition of Poverty” when praying about the “Storehouse” concept for the New England region.
I find it interesting that it ties the word “Abolition” and “Poverty” (Poverty is a consequence of economic slavery).
God actually tells us that the curse of poverty come on us if we serve idols:
A stingy man hastens after wealth and does not know that poverty will come upon him
Proverbs 28:22
Am I a Slave (click link)? Mammon is a modern day idol. When we obey its voice, either in fear of money for lack of future provision, or in greed for money to take care of ourselves and our family, it is sin towards God. Yet, many Americans, and even many Christians have become slaves to Mammon – as it is a strong part of our culture – whether realizing it or not.
This is why Jesus taught so strongly against Mammon (desire of money):
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money
Matthew 6:24
I’m not sure I can imagine stronger words than despising the voice of money? Do we truly despise the influence of money in our lives?
This is serious stuff. Jesus is seemingly saying here no dabbling around with maybe that the influences of money are ok? Maybe a little bit of caring for money is alright. No. This is a black and white issue with Jesus. Why? Because money can be a very corrupting influence if we are not vigilantly despising its influences.

Round Table Discussion The National Debt and Inflation – Part of America’s Judgment and Return?
- Every 1% increase in interest on federal debt = $280Bn increased interest cost
- 10% interest would be $2.8Tn/year in debt service alone
- the entire tax base is $3.5Tn/year
- 10 year treasuries were over 10% from 1979-1985
What is Jesus’ answer ?

But anyone who’s read Jeremiah 19 or chapter 29 of Harbinger II (“The Plague”) knows that this is a sign of national judgment.
Inflation 10 year treasury yields are on the rise. This could speak to future inflation.
China, Iran, Inflation? * China buying record amounts of oil from Iran * Could Iran sanctions advance the yuan globally? * Petrodollars and the system that created it
Premise: China’s unsanctioned purchases of oil and energy from rogue nations (Iran, Venezuela, etc.) could potentially further catalyze the world away from settling energy purchases in dollars (petrodollars), especially post-pandemic. This then could help further establish the Yuan as a viable settlement currency, and with it, further challenging the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. If the US loses its the position as the world’s reserve currency, the dollar will weaken, interest rates will rise in order to attract bond buyers and inflation could take off as the purchase prices of imported goods and services climbs (US runs trade deficits).

The overarching mission of equipping the body for works of ministry and building up the church is walked out through planting and watering. Through structural support and discipleship.
Sanctuary Space is the structural support portion of this mission. Building backyard structures for solitude, sanctuary, and hospitality.
Joel shares with us how God took him on a journey of providing a runway to help Christians provide hospitality to his neighbors, but also the lost, last and least, including the homeless. Many believers have a tough time with how to help the homeless beyond putting a dollar in their jar, or writing a check to the local soup kitchen or homeless shelter.

Responding to Holy Spirit “they need something” to someone in a Walmart parking lot, Joel embarked on realizing his vision of providing a “sanctuary” to those who needed it most – the homeless. His experiment taught him many things.
Conclusions: * Its all about equipping people in Christ, especially the young * People need an on-ramp / safe way to get comfortable with hospitality even with people they don’t know, or people who could potentially a safety threat, like someone who is homeless. * Its not the physical structure that’s important, its about the heart of helping people * Giving + Blessing = Enterprising * Parable of the talents not about money, about using our gifts to multiply for God

Harriet some months back after joining the New Breed Zoom calls, suggested: “Have you seen Mully the movie?” I said no. Harriet said that much of what I was talking about and my own testimony – in terms of doing business in a new way – trusting God – even for supernatural provision, rather than just in money – was echoed in Mully’s life journey and story.
Another cool tidbit is that Steve and Jacky Shenbaum (Gary Crawford’s son-in law and daughter – “Dean” of media Bradenton/Sarasota FL – who will be speaking next week) spent a day with Charles and Esther Mully and found them quite extraordinary human beings. A friend of Steve’s co-produced the movie.
Charles Mully is an amazing Christian man with an amazing calling. Growing up, he was abandoned by his alcoholic parents and became a “street boy”, effectively an orphan. He was told once by a gospel preacher “work hard and there is nothing impossible with God”. Later, he became a prominent entrepreneur and businessman in Kenya, starting with “Mully Ways” a taxi service, but then also a car shop, car parts, welding company, insurance brokerage, exclusive distributor of Total oil and gas in western Kenya, etc. He became one of the wealthiest men in Kenya. “The more you get, the more you want to have”, he said. And that “Money is more valuable than anything else you can think of. It is having the power in my hand”. He used to visit the World Trade Towers and up on the top floors, he thought to himself “this is my time” and that he was on top of the world “looking down at everyone else”.
BUT GOD – got a hold of Mully’s heart and convicted him to help the orphans, starting in the slums he grew up in. Charles said “Yes God. Use me.” and later “I will never ever do business again. I will never ever work for money”. Not just giving money from his income or wealth gained, but literally closing and selling his businesses and starting “Mully’s Christian Family” an orphanage. Effectively, he was re-deploying his business, management and administration skills for God’s Kingdom, but it was a type of “business” that helped house, train and feed the orphans. The orphans helped run the whole enterprise together as a “family” with their biological children. They trusted God in amazing ways! They didn’t always have money, but they had the favor of God! This included literally a transformation of a barren land into a productive lush land, where literally even the CLIMATE CHANGED. No joke.
So we use Mully as an amazing example of what is possible with God, the God of miracles, instead of the god of money. We can envisage what is possible in God though the life of this man and his family.
Guerney and Harriet Hunt Also, let’s welcome Harriet and Guerney Hunt, who have led an extraordinary life of their own and how they embody the ONE NEW MAN in their marriage and in life. I have worked together with Guerney, Harriet and Grant Berry in Reconnecting Ministries/Messiah’s House as well as 10 Days of Prayer.
Guerney and Harriet will have been married 40 years on their anniversary in August 2021. Guerney works for IBM Research as a Research Staff Member in computer security. Harriet is a retired home school mom and a retired Semitic language TA from ATS. All five of their children have completed college and graduate degrees. Their two oldest children are married and between them, Guerney and Harriet have five grandchildren.
Guerney’s parents were divorced when he was five. He moved around a lot, spending about half his growing years in Tennessee and the other half in Michigan. He grew up with his mother and attributes his salvation to the prayers of his maternal grandparents. He is of African, native-American, and European descent. He met the Lord while an undergraduate at Michigan Technological University, where he majored in mathematics.
Guerney and Harriet met at Cornell University where Guerney was a graduate student in computer science and Harriet was an undergraduate in chemistry. Harriet grew up in a Conservative Jewish family in New York city. After graduating from the Bronx High School of Science she went to Cornell, where she met the Lord.
Guerney and Harriet heard about the Mully movie through Focus on the Family. Harriet related to the movie on several levels. She had been to Kenya on a two-week mission’s trip in 2001 and seen several of the locations central to the Mully story. In addition, the story tied directly to what she was learning about ‘mishpat’ from her Hebrew professor. God’s design for creation is a society (mishpat) which has “his dynamic power embedded in it” and makes the world a “life giving and life sustaining place.” “In order for life to exist, it must be shared.” Mully’s story exemplifies this principle. As Mully followed the Lord in rescuing orphaned children, not only were their lives transformed, but so also was the environment.

In the lead up to last week’s discussion on GameStop, I had this dream the morning of 2/2.
I was on a train looking out over city neighborhoods – could have been the outskirts of Chicago, or maybe NYC. As the train went by, I could clearly see families in multi-family homes, sitting out on their porches, gathered in their homes. The height of the buildings were 3 stories. It was row houses – not much land. It was a simple scene – nothing fancy. People were outside BBQing and hanging out with extended family. Densely populated neighborhoods. These folk didn’t have much, but they had a simple life and they had family together, friends and each other. Sense was that many ethnicities were represented, as well as many recent immigrants.
When I woke up from the dream, I felt the Holy Spirit was saying – the point about GameStop is that I care about the working poor and the working class (bottom 20%). These are the ones who matter. The Redditors vs. Wall Street Establishment is not the fight that matters. Itch for another fight. The fight for survival of the weak and the downtrodden – help train and equip the poor. Young ones, old ones, look to Your Maker. Instead of rallying to beat the man, rally to help the helpless, the downtrodden, the weak and infirmed, the heavy laden, those who need the most help. Invest in them. That’s the game. That’s the democratization of the economy.

Not just in charitable donations, but in discipling people in a New Breed of thinking, in a new way of being – in Christ? To be entrepreneurial. To show people how to plant, cultivate and grow apple trees, not just hand out the apples.
Try me in these things, says God in His word.

Implementation Interview
Gary Crawford, Bradenton/Sarasota FL area Gary Crawford is an apostolic leader and elder in the east central Florida region, known regionally as the “Original Manatee County” comprising 8 counties surrounding the Bradenton / Sarasota area. They view their area as a type of Goshen styled “city of refuge” whereby the Church will be a beacon of light and hope as things become more difficult in the days ahead.
They have a 5-fold leadership and Kingdom unity movement known as the OMC which you can read more about here: https://www.oneomc.info/ Just this past week I was with Gary and the OMC team for their annual OMC leaders Summit: With “What then shall we do?” as the theme this year. It was held at the old OMC county seat known as Pine Level at the Pine Level Methodist Church, which has its own amazing history of revival around the early 1900s.
Also, Gary runs a multi-use commercial facility known as King’s Station that is like a Kingdom hub for the “7 spheres/mountains” in Bradenton Florida. Part of this center houses locally owned businesses, including his own BI-IT Consulting, which focuses on helping companies and nonprofits with administration and technology. One of the subjects we will discuss tomorrow is, how do we unity communities and network them virtually? With Facebook and Twitter more and more censoring content, what must we do to build our own Kingdom social networks to facilitate transformation of communities and regions around the world. Answer?
