I've had a love-hate relationship with radio over the years, though lately it's leaning more towards the 'hate' side.
Despite living in South Texas, having a slightly tricky to pronounce Spanish name makes things more interesting than they should be.
I almost titled this episode "Take This Job and Shove It," but that would have been too easy.
I catch a fever one weekend and get to experience the joy that is getting tested for the coronavirus, wearing a mask inside the house and thinking of ways to mention constipation without actually saying it!
All things considered, 2020 was all right for me personally, though not without it's ups and downs.
Like so many things in my life, being a furry means that some things get a bit weird...okay, weirdER.

I was one of the three people that had a Windows Phone, woo!
Like a lot of y'all, my home life and work life became one and the same. I also had to get masks. Surprisingly, toilet paper wasn't much of an issue, though I will never understand WTF that was all about.

After a month of a half of sort-of working from home, the hammer expectedly falls.

Coronavirus didn't really affect me much until the afternoon of March 12, 2020, when an email dropped into my work inbox.
The next day, Fiesta San Antonio 2020 would be cancelled.
Suddenly, things were serious.
I've always disliked ordering from the drive-thru, but now that I'm forced to use them when I want to eat out, I'm relearning to hate them all over again.
Everybody loves The Man. Some people want to be The Man, but only a select few can earn that lofty title.
I thought I didn't have a lot of stuff, but upon selling my house and having to empty it out, it turns out that I was wrong.
Smart things are getting too smart for their own good, like the iPhone and even my company Chevrolet Equinox.
I won't be presenting any panels at this year's San Japan, so I reminisce over things that have happened to me when I've tried to share some nerd knowledge.

I thought that getting a pen pal was a great idea until I remembered how awful my handwriting is. Making it even worse is the beautiful penmanship and presentation my pen pal uses!
My happy places are are called 'fan conventions' and whether they're comic, anime, furry, steampunk, or all of the above, they're where I like to be!

Sure, I'm a nerd, but that doesn't mean I hate sports! I will always be a Dallas Cowboys fan...despite their best efforts.
On a day where I could have easily posted another piss-and-vinegar episode (and even wrote a script for one) I decide it isn't worth the trouble.
I've liked cartoons, stories and videogames with funny animals since I was a kid, so joining the furry fandom seemed to be a no-brainer. I've been part of the club for a year now, so I thought it would be a good time to reflect on what furries really are.
I do love the taste of a good burger...now if I could get what I actually ordered, I'd be all set!
My annual tradition of making Christmas cookies for friends and family was sadly cancelled by the nasty bug that kicked pretty much everyone's tail these past two months.

I have no problem with laundromats or washaterias or what-have-you. The PEOPLE you sometimes meet in them, on the other hand...
While most folks are content to order a #3 at their favorite fast food joint, other folks, including myself, manage to find ways to throw a monkey wrench into the not-so-finely-tuned machine that is a fast-food restaurant.
The usual blah blah about don't gamble all your money away from a former "man on the inside" as well as a not too terribly exciting Las Vegas story.
Back in Episode #31, I talked about geek on geek harassment, but within our own ranks we have those oh-so-annoying, always-have-to-be-right jerks that also like to ruin the fun: the Fanboy.
Digital distribution is convenient and all, but I like to be able to see, feel and touch my movies, music and games.
This isn't about the 'One Percent" of rich folks that have been all over the news as of late...this is about the NERDY one percent!
