Mr. Ord is the music teacher at John M. Stumbo Elementary. This podcast will feature band, choir and music students. Some podcasts will be posted for educational purposes. Podcasts from other areas of the school may also appear.
Every year at Stumbo, the fifth grade classes read The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. In music classes, middle school students have learned how to create a podcast. Mr. Ord, our music teacher asked 14 of the top reading students at Stumbo to read a chapter of the story. None of the students were told about this ahead of time and so they had to read their chapter cold. Sometimes, the students were asked to read out in the noisy hallway and sometimes, the students were allowed to read in a quiet classroom. Mr. Ord is very proud of these students and their willingness to read this book. Mr. Ord and the students at Stumbo are still learning about podcasting and the next podcast will be even better. Thank you.
