Periods should NOT be painful!
Today on the Healthy is Hot Podcast - presented by @clarinscanada, @thechloewilde speaks with Lux Perry - @princeofperiods, about periods and how painful periods that interfere with your daily life could be a sign that something more is going on!
@princeofperiods journey with endometriosis began when they were only 9 years old. They suffered from abdominal pain, which only escalated after they got their period. They had a difficult time in school, in sports, and in work, as many people would dismiss their suffering as simply ‘period pain.’ It took them 15 years (and layers upon layers of medication) to convince a doctor that it was more than that. After finally doing a laparoscopy, they were diagnosed with endometriosis - a painful disease where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus is found in other parts of the body, which can cause painful lesions, cysts and other health problems.
With firsthand experience on how much potential is stifled by period pain, Lux Perry is dedicated to making period wellness easy for others through their brand @getsomedays, which is focused on period relief that is a pleasure to use.

This week we have Kelsey Rose joining the Healthy Is Hot podcast with Chloe Wilde! Kelsey is a fitness and lifestyle coach (CPT) who’s main focus is inspiring others to live a healthy active lifestyle while passionately dedicated to bringing awareness to how movement can improve strength both physically and mentally. With a Bachelor of Education, Kelsey transitioned from classroom teaching to teaching individuals how to take care of their bodies and lead a balanced life.
Although she studied to become a teacher, she was then told there wouldn't be any teaching jobs available for quite some time. Welcome to another episode! Today Chloe Wilde brings on Miranda Popen, a period & hormone expert, a life coach, a bad-ass and someone who is changing the conversation about aunt flow. About time, no? Her journey started when she was a professional ice skater and struggled with her weight, body image and constant pressure from the industry to drop the number on the scale. This led to hormone imbalances and 6week long periods. SIX WEEKS. Eventually, she realized something had to change, so she hung up her skates, went to school in NYC to study hormone nutrition and has since turned her experience into a career helping women regain control of their periods and educating along the way. Thankfully Alexandra and Carling are out there trying to make the whole experience of purchasing swimwear more comfortable by launching their company Prairie Swim earlier this year.
With cute nods to Canadiana and open dialogue about fit, nipple visibility and everything in between, these two friends turned entrepreneurs are not only providing pieces you can feel good about but are also opening the floor to real conversations about self-love and the importance of surrounding yourself with positive women.

We’ve always used the #HIHPodcast to speak candidly and have real conversations covering topics from women’s health and wellness to entrepreneurship to introducing people we love and admire to inspire us all to live our best lives.
This week is no different as we talk about period poverty. For some reason, periods have always been a conversation that many shy away from. But if you know Chloe Wilde at all, you know she doesn’t and we are so excited to shed more light on this important issue.
Today's guest is Lisa Gibbs, who is the Director of Community Investment from Shoppers Drug Mart.
The LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug Mart program is shining a spotlight on period poverty - empowering and supporting women to make their health and the health of vulnerable women a priority. And We. Are. Here. For. It.
Inadequate access to period products has a devastating impact on the health and wellness of Canadian women and girls of all ages. It’s an incredibly important issue that’s often overlooked and that’s why we want to talk more about it and what we as Canadians can do.
Take a listen, learn more about the issue, and let’s create change.
Together, we can bring period poverty to a full stop. PERIOD.

Chloe Wilde and Tyrone Edwards go way back, almost 7 years ago to the day when they started working together at the iconic MuchMusic office in downtown Toronto and were deskmates. Since that day, they’ve never stopped being deskmates and have since travelled the world together, filmed incredible shows together, gone through life’s hardships while being there for one another and now are supporting each other on a personal development journey. Tyrone is not only one of the most recognizable television personalities in Canada, he is also an incredible human being with so much compassion, drive, heart and a deep advocate for choosing to lead with love.
Having grown up in Toronto’s west end, Tyrone travelled to the U.S. during high school to play basketball at Randallstown High School in Baltimore, MD. From there, a scholarship presented him with the opportunity to attend Hillsdale College in Michigan, where he played NCAA basketball while studying Business and Speech. While Tyrone’s career was taking off in the U.S., his heart was always rooted in Toronto and, in 2005, he returned to the city he loves. In 2007 he helped create the love letter to Toronto that is the 1LoveTO blog, a project that ultimately led him to join Much in 2011.
Off-screen, Tyrone is heavily involved in his community, acting as a mentor and coach for underprivileged youth. Having once worked as a camp counselor with Toronto Parks and Recreation, Tyrone went on to found Concrete Hoops, a not-for-profit basketball camp that aims to incorporate life skills with the love of the game. He has also been a program leader with the urban youth-oriented Remix Project, an organization that helps kids from all 13 priority neighbourhoods in Toronto learn the fundamentals of the arts and entertainment business, and assisting them in their educational aspirations. In honour of his work as a television host and with numerous charities and foundations supporting underprivileged youth, Tyrone received the 2016 Mandela Legacy Hope, Success, and Empowerment Award, alongside Naomi Campbell, and Reverend Al Sharpton.
The two chat about mindfulness, community, striving for a more balanced approach to life and embracing that love is greater than… well, everything.

This week Chloe Wilde keeps it in the family and welcomes Larissa Nicole to the podcast. Not only has she been part of the Healthy Is Hot family as a writer for quite some time, she is a transformation and wellness coach on her way to becoming a Holistic Nutritionist. Growing up, she was raised in an Italian household where pasta, cheese, bread and olive oil were frequent staples in her diet, and there was no such thing as portion control. She struggled with body images throughout her childhood and was bullied in school… This led to her trying every “crash diet” and let others dictate her self-worth. When she entered University she was unhappy and ready to begin her true journey with health. She began doing workout videos at home, restricting her calories and began to see the pounds fall off until she plateaued and her go-to “rules” weren’t working anymore.
It was then that she realized that to transform her body, she needed to transform her mind. She became a student, absorbing as much information as possible in nutrition, fitness and wellness.

This week Chloe Wilde welcomes Ayisha Issa onto the podcast to discuss how discovering Jiu-Jitsu a decade ago completely changed her life. And we mean completely. Before the sport she struggled with an eating disorder, and through sport was able to shift her perspective on the value of food, feeling strong and treating your body with respect so that she could show up to the mat and be the best athlete possible. The sport not only changed her physically, but most importantly mentally. The skills and mental strength she’s gained through Jiu-Jitsu (did we mention she’s a two-time world champ?) she now shares through her own gym 4Points BJJ, where she combines her love of the sport with her affinity for youth development to help foster confidence, perseverance and a plethora of other valuable qualities in kids and young adults. When she’s not teaching the next generation or killing it on the mat, you can catch her on a CTV original drama called “Transplant” Wednesdays at 9pm.
Is there anything she can’t do? We think not.

Cassie lost her brother. An unimaginable loss. While dealing with grief, the biggest thing she learned was that if you want to feel, grow and learn from grief, you need to hit pause. She had to give herself the space and the time to go through all the emotions she was going through. She went to therapy and learned that to live and experience all the highs, you need to allow yourself to feel the lows. Through this she developed a strong sense of self-awareness and realized the power in having a positive mindset.
From this place, All Day Fit was born. A place and a community that is more than just strength training (although you will get hella strong if you commit to her program!), but also a place that focuses on nutrition, sleep, stress, mental health and connection. Cassie and her team will give you the tools to live your best life!
Cassie’s infectious positive energy drives her to continue on this journey. She is an amazing girl boss to say the least.

It’s colder and darker, putting us at risk of Seasonal Affective Disorder. SAD affects the mental health of approximately 26% of the population during the wintertime. With the bluest day of the year coming up on January 20, we’ve got your back with Kiki Athanas on this week’s episode of the Healthy Is Hot podcast with Chloe Wilde. Kiki is a health writer and speaker specializing in holistic healing modalities spanning nutrition, mindfulness, and cannabis for wellness. Through working with health tech startups and wellness brands over the past several years, Kiki has advanced her education and experiences in natural lifestyle practices. Her journey and mission is, ultimately, to inspire a new way of "mindful living" that fits today's modern lifestyle, which she shares on her blog MEByKiki.com. Today, Kiki leads wellness events & workshops across the city, is the In-House Nutritionist at Calii Love, and is in the process of natural her new adaptogenic supplements line, Kiki Naturals.
Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression with similar symptoms. Are you feeling fatigued? Struggling with getting out of bed? Prone to crying? Struggling with sadness? If these symptoms are more common than not, hopefully these tips and tricks will supplement whatever tools you already have in your toolkit. Mental health is health, let’s prioritize it.
Mindfulness. Start with checking in with yourself, be mindful with your own feelings. And extend it outwards and check in with your loved ones. Give meditation a chance, and do it YOUR way with however amount of time YOU want. There is no secret sauce or one-size-fits-all way to do it.
Go spend time in nature. It’s been shown to reduce stress, improve sleep, boost creativity and simmer down cortisol levels.
Go for a walk outside, even if it’s gloomy out, try to spend a little time outside during the day.
Fill out your social calendar with activities that fuel your soul and make you feel good.
Nourish yourself! Bring back complex carbs (yes, carbs). Sweet potato, quinoa, wild rice - these are all slow burning carbs which have been shown to increase serotonin which is the “happy” neurotransmitter. Load up your plate with dark leafy greens (your body will be happy and your mom will be proud). And try chaga mushrooms; high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Are you getting enough B12? Meat products, fortified milks, nutritional yeast, supplements, etc
Move your body! Releases endorphins (yay). Make it a priority, schedule it in, and commit. Doesn’t have to be a sweat fest each time, just get out there and move.
Light therapy :)

Chloe Wilde brings back the very first guest of the Healthy Is Hot podcast, Coach Carey to usher in not only a new year, but a new decade. A life coach, public speaking coach, director of partnerships for The Get Real Movement, founder of The Confidence Talk, and consultant for RBC - and this is just a sample. Raia Carey is a force. This special episode focuses on self-love, feeling pride in the skills YOU have and wearing them as badges of honour (instead of shying away from embracing what makes you, you), diving into gender identity and looking ahead at the new decade ahead. WELCOME TO 2020 HIH FAM! Have you listened to our first chat? Go to it, it delves into how she rose above bullying as a child, lost 300pounds, worked as a club promoter for 10years and is now living out her dreams of making a difference in the lives around her. She also chats about why she feels “hybrid” is a much better term than “non-binary”.

Celebrity hairstylist, tattooed, long golden locks, and a positive attitude that is as contagious as a yawn but way more satisfying. Matthew Collins is a rad guy that came into my life when I joined the MuchMusic team many years ago, he was the go-to hairstylist for all of us and since then has grown his career exponentially doing the hair of Gigi Hadid, Paris Jackson, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dua Lip, Hailey Baldwin, Priyanka Chopra, the list literally goes on and on. In his teens, he was obsessed with team sports (and learning how to do hair), even went to college for football but once his career started taking off, he stopped doing sports and fitness altogether, until 10months ago when all of that changed. And now, he can’t imagine his life without daily #HIHmoments and continues to spread positivity everywhere he goes.

Lyzabeth Lopez is the definition of a boss. As she says, it’s been a long journey for her going from an anorexic body-hating teenager, to an over-dieting fitness model, to a flat-butt cardio queen, to now loving and understanding food, loving her workouts, loving and accepting her body with all it’s curves and thickness. Lyzabeth let’s Chloe Wilde into her journey and chats all about how Hourglass Workout came to be and drops a ton of knowledge thanks to her health science background and holistic nutrition certification. She’s a mom, an entrepreneur, has a huge platform where she spreads good vibes all around to her 1.8million instagram followers. Oh, and her little 10month old bundle of joy Tyson joins in and almost steals the show.

In her late teens, Alyssa knew she wanted to be mom, in her early 20s, it’s all she wanted, b27, she made it happen, on her own terms rather than wait for “Prince Charming”. Ever since she can remember, she’s always known that being a mom was #1 in her life, and so she became a single mother by choice and is happier than ever. Before her little bundle of joy, Summer, came into her life, Alyssa suffered from crippling anxiety, and while she was pregnant she decided to proactive and see a therapist to prepare for possible postpartum depression but to her surprise her mental health was better than ever. Chloe Wilde and Alyssa cover everything from the importance of a support system, how she went about finding a donor, how a diva cup is the modern day version of putting your legs up in the air when you’re trying to get pregnant and the convo goes there, (yes there) about breastfeeding and what happens to your nipples (it sounds terrifying). Alyssa’s view of what Healthy Is Hot might have changed since the birth of Summer, but in the most beautiful and healthy way.
For the past few months, HIH Podcast host Chloe Wilde has been calling Drop Boxing home for many healthy is hot moments. The music is loud, the lights are low and you spend half the class boxing and half the class cross-training. Lara has been a longtime lover of boxing and for the past 6months has been sharing that passion with Toronto at her new spot to glowing reviews. People leave feeling empowered, invigorated, and absolutely spent. This week, CW finds out just how Lara does it all and with a smile on her face. HINT: music has a lot to do with it.
You know what they say, you never forget your first. This week marks the first our Healthy Is Hot founder brings on not one but TWO guests. Nicole is an OG healthy is hot contributor who brings us inspirational articles weekly called “How I Get Sh*t Done”, one of those guests was Rachael; a success coach, blogger and fellow podcasted. We dive deep into manifestation and actually breaking it down in a step by step manner, plus we discuss the search for freedom and following our passions. Enjoy!!

If you’ve seen Bitten or Supergirl (amongst many other things), you’ll recognize our next guest for the Healthy Is Hot podcast. Chloe Wilde reunites with Laura Vandervoort, an actor, producer, dog-lover, ambassador for World Vision Canada and self-professed part time ninja. From martial arts, to trolls on social media, the pressures from Hollywood, the beauty and power behind seeing 11:11 and the reality of being an introvert, these two cover a lot of ground. Did we mention, she does her own stunt work?
At 30, Christina Cheng is living her best life; a creative, a connector of dots, an enthusiast of inclusive fitness communities and most of all, a proud modern day mom to her 14 year old son. Chloe Wilde & Christina chat about raising a young man in 2019, the importance of open communication and the impact of communities brought together by fitness.
This week Chloe Wilde brings on an international keynote speaker, teacher and now author, Julian Brass. His book Own Your Anxiety provides readers with 99 simple tools they can use to thrive with their anxiety. From body, to mind, to soul - these are tips we can all use to live a better life. At the age of 24, Julian left a great job in Silicon Valley to come back home to Toronto to launch a business, Notable. That journey resulted in many things, one of which was anxiety. Rather than allow this to hinder his life, he’s choosing to share everything he’s learned over the past 11 years from his personal journey, and learnings from both western medicine and gurus alike.
At 16 years old, this week’s guest suffered a serious concussion playing rugby that left her unable to live the life she wanted for 7 years. Doctors were pushing medication on her and advised her to avoid all physical activity or any activity that might raise her heart rate. Eventually, she started consulting a different doctor and decided she was going to try a different route, at 23 years old she got her life back and experienced the incredible power of the mind, positive thinking and movement. This shift was right around the time she was working on her thesis at Ryerson University in 2014. Mary decided to focus her project on creating a brand of women’s intimates that challenged the narrative of what society deems beautiful. 5 years later, that school project has grown into a successful business impacting the lives of women around North America. Rather than reshaping, her garments are all about embracing our natural shapes and being confident with who we are. More than garments, the Mary Young brand is a feeling, a movement, and a community.

Sarah Mariano is better known as “The Stretch Therapist”, she is all about helping her clients achieve optimal flexibility, mobility, performance and pain relief. As a competitive athlete, she’s endured her fair share of injuries and through her recovery process found her ultimate passion; helping others gain control of their lives again through education and fascial stretch therapy. What I didn’t expect from this chat was that the conversation would start with one of my personal favourite topics, PERIODS. Sarah lets us in on her endometriosis diagnosis and how she copes. Guess what? Movement and exercise is one of those coping mechanisms - a little reminder that healthy is hot moments are uber important.

This is a woman whose energy is infectious and her passion for empowering other women to hustle, work hard and achieve their wildest dreams is far-reaching from Canada to Zurich, London, Paris and beyond. Sonia Zarbatany is the definition of multi-faceted, a businesswoman, life coach, business coach, wife, mom of two, and did I mention complete bad-ass?
Biggest takeaway? Constantly check in with yourself and ask, “am I aligned with this choice?”. And if you are, SHOW UP fully. Whether it’s a meeting, a job, a date, a party; check in with yourself and make a choice. No more doing things because you feel you have to, or you’ll feel guilty if you bail - take ownership of your choices.
Oh, and we talk about money. Knowing your worth, valuing your work and being able to ask for what you want. Enjoy!
Ovarian cysts, the power of personal story-telling and TEDX; just a few of the topics covered on this week’s episode of the Healthy Is Hot podcast. Lauren McPhillips is the force behind the Toronto-based lifestyle blog, This Renegade Love, a place with purpose-driven pieces that empower, inspire and educate. And no, it’s not preachy - quite the opposite actually, she does so in an unfiltered, no-bull shit kind of way that makes you feel like she’s the type of girl you could hit the gym with and throw back a bottle of wine with. To say she’s refreshing, is simply the tip of the iceberg. Chloe Wilde and Lauren talk about how working out has always been a necessary evil for her, her #1 tip for people wanting to dive into the entrepreneurial world and how a TEDX talk pushed her way outside her comfort zone & had her on stage talking openly about none other than ovarian cysts.
Okay, we’ve all heard of mindful meditation and mindful eating… but have you ever heard of mindful music? Enter Alli Walker. A PEI raised singer-songwriter making waves in the country world with mindful music/conscious country; no longer singing about boys, booze and breakups, she’s now creating music based on mental health, empowering messages, hard lessons and tough questions we often ask ourselves. Alli introduces Chloe to “vulnerability hangovers” and both connect on a real level about anxiety, self-doubt and authenticity (especially on social media).
Her debut album, “The Basement Sessions: What I’ve learned So Far” drops September 13th.
Waking up at 6 am for our host Chloe Wilde is tough, but for this week’s #HIHpodcast guest, 6 am is when she goes live every morning on CTV’s Your Morning, as the resident meteorologist who also conducts interviews & field segments. That means her wake up time is before 3 am. Being on a national show is an incredible platform, but occasionally that breeds unwarranted social media comments, like the time she was 34 weeks pregnant and someone had the audacity to tweet that her maternity clothes were “disgusting.” Kelsey handled it with grace, class & intelligence; reminding this viewer (and all viewers) that our value is not based on our appearance and that #mybodyisnotyourconcern. In addition to being a boss in the morning television space, she is also the mom to two little ones, tries to live an active life and shares her belief with us that we should embrace being comfortable with discomfort - because that’s when growth happens. Enjoy!
Welcome to another week of the #HIHPodcast! Kyle Ardill joins Chloe Wilde for a chat at SWAT, the fitness facility he co-founded and has since expanded to 3 separate locations. It was because of Sarah, one of the amazing team members on the Healthy is Hot team, that this introduction was made. Since then, Kyle has trained with Chloe on a regular basis and they do a deep dive into why he got into this business, how SWAT is different, and what to do when things don’t go quite as planned. Also, when you listen to this episode, you’ll hear Kyle chat about his upcoming triathlon and we want to say a HUGE congratulations since he completely crushed it.
Enjoy!

You’ve heard her on the radio, you’ve seen her on The Marilyn Denis Show, Your Morning or The Social, and her modelling shots are everywhere. But today on the Healthy Is Hot podcast, Meredith Shaw gets candid with Chloe Wilde about her journey with self-love, the random conversation with a make-up artist that got her into modelling, her passion of fashion, body positivity and surrounding yourself with a great community. Oh, and we both agree that curvy, is sexy.
Another week, another bad-ass babe joins Chloe Wilde to talk about how they got to where they are and how health is a key component of how they choose to live their lives every single day. Jessica Copeland is the associate marketing manager of New Balance Canada, a mom to a beautiful little boy and a killer cook in the kitchen (stay tuned for Healthy Is Hot videos that will make you drool). Hear how she went from being a shy young woman struggling with anxiety, depression and anorexia to a complete powerhouse at the office, at home and within herself. Plus, she has abs and she loves a nice glass of wine.
This week on the Healthy is Hot Podcast, Chloe Wilde sits down with our first male guest, Phil McKenzie, to discuss everything healthy living. From a professional rugby player to fitness guru, Phil started his fitness phenomenon, Leansqaud, to empower people through fitness and healthy living.
Founder of No Tummy Mommy, Trish gets candid with Chloe Wilde about motherhood and finding time for yourself and showcasing to your little ones that you can be an active and healthy mother while including your family. Known for helping women feel more like themselves after giving birth,
After her second child, Trisha found herself not wanting to see anyone or leave the house for 3 months, had intrusive thoughts while doing day to day activities... she knew something was not right. Thankfully through the support of her husband and seeking professional help, she started to feel better. As a positive person, this diagnosis of postpartum depression was difficult to say the least. Her healing process included journaling in the morning, small moments of physical activity, and meditation.
After 10 years working in the TV industry, Caleigh Rykiss pivoted hard and decided to make her dream come true of running a fitness & wellness facility unlike anything else, and BOLO was born.. From a cafe & smoothie bar, to getting your hair did after a serious sweat with one of their many classes that will make you feel like a total bad-ass, this place has it all. It’s also aesthetically top-notch with cute succulents on the walls, custom wall-paper celebrating bodies and a neon sign you’ll have a hard time not snapping a pic in front of to share on the ‘gram. BOLO stands for body-love, which dominates most of the conversation with Chloe Wilde. From body-image, to burn-outs, to learning how to set boundaries, you better believe we go there in an honest way. Caleigh opens up about what it’s really like running a business with your husband and why a no-work-zone is crucial (for them, it’s their hot tub!). And her connection to the phrase Healthy Is Hot will give you goosebumps.
Thanks for tuning in! Leave us a little 5* and let us know what you loved most.
In 2007, Charlie Dark founded Run Dem Crew in South London when he found running during a dark period of his life. His idea was to bring together unique individuals together for interesting conversations while also hitting the pavement, with a strong focus on all things mental health and community. 12 years later that crew has turned into a 500-person community in London and an international running movement landing him the position as the first global run ambassador Lululemon. Charlie chats to Chloe Wilde about everything from imposter syndrome, the importance of destigmatizing mental health, the power of meditation and why we should view running a race as a celebration above all else
Looking for #fitspo? Look no further. This week, Chloe Wilde chats with Beverley Cheng, founder of Born To Sweat. Before she was a staple in the Toronto fitness industry she was working full-time in insurance. She gets candid about how a week long hospital stay because of pneumonia affected her approach to helping clients get fit, her passion for getting women comfortable and confident in the gym, her thoughts on intermittent fasting, the importance of authenticity and how 2019 started off with a confused state of mind and how she got back on track. Hint; it’s all about a solid and consistent morning routine. Oh, and we also talk about her cat and the “twerking moment” that will make you smile.
This week, Chloe Wilde brings on Roxy Earle, a proud Canadian living in LA who is challenging the notion that curvy women in fashion should be labeled as “plus size”. Her movement, #MySizeRox is making waves and empowering woman to love their bodies, no matter what their size. After being on Real Housewives of Toronto, she has since grown her brand, her movement and collaborated with some epic brands like Le Chateau and most recently KNIX, and we have a feeling that this is just the beginning. Roxy lets us in on how she feels about the Kardashians, an idea she wants to bring to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, how to protect yourself when you’re in the public eye and why the butterfly effect is something we all need to get behind.
Shivani Persad is a Trinidadian Canadian living in New York killing it as a model, working with Aerie, Dynamite and RW&CO, just to name a few. But she’s also so much more than that; she is an activist, recently incorporated a business with aims to make meaningful content, involved with Model Alliance and is getting married this summer. She gets candid about shadism, why she feels so passionate about activism and the reason she created a podcast called More Than A Model Radio.
This week on the #HIHPodcast, Chloe Wilde brings on Bianca Harris, director and founder of WIPP, and host and founder of the WCR. The two met while filming beauty tutorials for the E! Network and since that moment 5 years ago, so much has changed but one thing remains the same: this girl is a hustler.
Hosting events that bring hundreds of women together to inspire passion and purpose in their lives, still working as a make-up artist, running a podcast and learning that taking time for yourself is a non-negotiable, Bianca opens up about the importance of creating a solid team around you and the power of meditation. Not to mention giving Chloe advice on how to turn your passion project into something more, and how sometimes as female entrepreneurs you have to be able to be both a mouse and a tiger. Did we mention she reveals a bucket list item on the Healthy Is Hot podcast that she’s never revealed before?
This week, Chloe Wilde brings on a true multi-hyphenate. Lauren Howe wears many hats, Miss Canada, engineer, TV host, YouTuber, advocate of women in STEM, she truly does it all. With a passion for travel, boxing and breaking stereotypes, get ready to be inspired and realize you are so much more than the box people put you in.
This week on the HIH podcast Chloe Wilde brings on an unbelievable guest, Nalie Agustin. She is a YouTuber, speaker, author and just rang in her 30th birthday - a huge celebratory moment considering she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer at 24 years old. When they met 5 years ago in Montreal Chloe had a feeling they’d reconnect, and funny enough she also auditioned for the MuchMusic VJ Search! In today’s episode, they chat about everything from the power of social media, reiki massages, wheatgrass shots and what it means to thrive.
As she celebrates 10 years and gears up for the release of her third book this year, Chloe Wilde catches up with Joy McCarthy from Joyous Health about previously being fat-phobic, struggling with hormonal imbalances and getting through it with healthy food (and a difficult life decision), working with her husband, her thoughts on Keto and let’s our Healthy Is Hot community in on the exciting new Joyous Health podcast dropping May 1st!
At 37 weeks pregnant, there was a small chance the Healthy Is Hot podcast would have witnessed the miracle of life right then and there. How has pregnancy affected her fitness routine? Body image? Listen now to find out.
Welcome back to another episode of the #HIHPodcast! This week we get personal, really personal with a Canadian artist on the rise who recently won hearts on CTV’s show The Launch. When Chloe Wilde interviewed her at work, she knew she’d be a perfect pick for the podcast. Michelle is a 22-year-old Ottawa Native who’s recent experience being launched with a track produced by Nile Rodgers and mentorship with Bebe Rexha is one to watch. She’s got a killer voice, a big heart and a desire to be open about her anxiety so others don’t feel alone or ashamed of their mental health. She’s also shared the stage with Lady Gaga, NBD.
Get ready for the second episode of the #HIHPodcast with Chloe Wilde and Coach Carey. This episode delves into how she rose above bullying as a child, lost 300 pounds, worked as a club promoter for 10 years and is now living out her dreams of making a difference in the lives around her. She also chats about why she feels “hybrid” is a much better term than “non-binary”.
