In 2024, New Community will explore the heights and depths of Jesus' teaching found in Matthew 5-7. We will see how life is meant to be lived as we know Jesus, spend time with him and learn to be like him.

Week One of Advent: Join us we begin a conversation about mental and emotional health. We discuss why these topics are relevant this time of year and begin to specifically address anxiety.
Over the course of the next year we will take time to ask, “what were the practices of Jesus that enabled him to lead the life he did?” We will begin by looking at four times in his life where he sought a quiet place to be with his Father. This message serves as a foundation for this year's advent series.

Writing to a man named Theophilus (whose name means "Lover of God") Luke takes great care to document the birth, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus. Of the four Gospels, Luke was written with the most precision, using the highest Greek, and reads like a testimony prepared for a trial. Are you a "lover of God"? If so, then this was written so that you might know Him better.

The church is not a building it is a people. We often hear that, but it is an undeniable truth that a place is important to a people, not only the place but also the appointed times to gather at that place. This message is intended to address the reasons why God's people need to come together. As Christians our gatherings become a central part of our lives, they unite us, define us, even set us apart from the cultures we live in. Please join us this week as we answer the question, "Why do we gather?"
This week we will ask, “Why we Don’t Gather…?” If you are new to New Community, you may not know this about us, but four times a year we do not gather on a Sunday morning, at least not in the same way we do typically. Whenever there are five Sundays in a month, we take that fifth Sunday and we participate in what we call Away Games. As the name suggests, we engage in activities away from the church's meeting house. This message is about re-evaluating this practice as well as reminding us of it's purpose.

Resurrection Day, the most triumphant day in human history! The day when death was defeated and our new lives began. Join us as we celebrate all that this day means for those who believe in the name of Jesus.
We would like to invite you to our Good Friday Gathering. We believe that Good Friday and Easter Sunday are intimately connected, and apart from each other they lose their meaning. Without Christ’s bodily death there is no forgiveness of sin and without his bodily resurrection there is no eternal life. So, please join us this Friday, April 10th at 8pm, we will gather for a time of worship and reflection on the sacrifice that Christ made on our behalf.

Elder Clem Boyd draws from Jesus’s parable of the sowing of the seeds to share biblical wisdom and practical truths about maturing our faith.
This sermon, last of an ongoing series that, addresses the instances in Acts that speak of people being filled by the Holy Spirit. What happens when people are under the influence of the Spirit?
This book of the Old Testament serves as a major transition between the time of the judges, when "there was no king and everyone did what was right in their own eyes" (Judg. 21:25) and the time of the kings when the people "rejected me (God) from being king over them" (I Sam. 8:7). The book of First Samuel addresses authority; who should rule? and how? Important and relevant questions for the church today.

Without Christ’s bodily death there is no forgiveness of sin and without his bodily resurrection there is no eternal life.
