Are small businesses required to provide a 401(k) plan to their employees?
There is no law that requires a company to offer a 401(k) plan. However, in late 2020 California law will require large companies to start an "IRA Savings" for workers.
If you're currently working for a business that doesn't offer a 401(k) plan, you have the option of speaking to a financial advisor so you can open up a IRA and invest in your future.

They got a $20,000 bill!
I received a call from an elderly couple. Her husband recently had a heart attack. She was concerned because they got a bill for $20,000.
I said, "That's not possible as long as you're in a Medicare plan. What plan are you with?"
It turns out they weren't on a plan. They only had Medicare A and B.
