After letting go of what no longer serves us, we’re often left in an in-between space—unsure, ungrounded, and asking, Who am I now? In this episode, I’m joined by my partner Liam as we explore what it means to reconnect with ourselves after major life shifts. Together, we reflect on our own journeys through change, identity, and rediscovery—both individually and within our relationship.

We talk about rediscovering old passions, trying new things, embracing solitude, and rebuilding trust in our own voices. This episode is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and begin the journey back—not to your past self, but to the version of you that’s unfolding now.

Because sometimes, finding your way back to yourself isn’t about going backward—it’s about meeting yourself right where you are, with a little more honesty, grace, and love.

“As Life Happens”

Welcome back to Love, Growth, and Freedom! After two years of navigating major life changes, I’m finally back with a fresh perspective. Life happened—I moved overseas, started a new career in Melbourne, and have been on a journey to create a life that feels authentic to me.

In this episode, I reflect on the biggest lessons I’ve learned:

•You don’t need one grand dream—sometimes, you build it as you go.

•Moving abroad means shedding old versions of yourself to grow into something new.

•Stop worrying about what others think—it’s your life to live, not theirs.

•The love you cultivate within yourself radiates into all your relationships.

•Reflection and gratitude help shape both your past and future.

Life moves fast when you start making choices for yourself. Through all the change, never lose sight of your core self. Shift your perspective, embrace the lessons, and step boldly into your next chapter.

If this episode resonated with you, share it with someone who needs a reminder that change is part of the journey. Subscribe for more reflections on personal growth, and stay tuned for our next episode, where we explore the ever-evolving versions of who we are. See you next time! 💫

In the spirit of acknowledging a new phase in my life, I have decided to discuss the struggles of being away from home. Dealing with the pressures of adult life, and the realities of being far away from the life I have always known.

In this episode, I discuss my thought process and reasons for leaving. The perfect quote that encompasses this feeling and reasoning is from the book "101 Essays That Will Change the Way You Think" by Brianna Wiest

She said: " Make plans to build the life you want, not because you hate the one you have, but because you’re in love with the person you know you want to become."

Which hit me hard and made me realize that it is because I am becoming the person I've always wanted to be growing up.

In this series, I'll take you through my journey and realisations as someone living my life away from home. Navigating through creating a home away from home.

And sometimes It’s hard to admit you’re unhappy in parts of your life because it makes you feel guilty and then you gaslight yourself instead of facing it. As life gets hectic and as we have to fulfill our responsibilities to ourselves and the people around us. We struggle to live up to people's expectations and even our own. We strive to live life as much as we can juggling one thing after the other thinking that slowing down will stunt our growth and progress. The truth is, slowing down gives us the opportunity to take a step back and look at how far we've come, and also just plainly exist in a world that tells you to keep going until you break. Appreciate the time you have to slow down and just have the moment to enjoy your time.

It's clichè but life happens and life gets in the way. There are multiple instances in our lives that occur when we least expect it and it's just not what we're expecting and hoping for. And those experiences may cause us heartache and pain and holds up a mirror to our face that fills us with doubt and forces us to judge ourselves harshly. But maybe things happen to us because of a myriad reasons, we don't get what we want, but receive what we need and things that made us today all the hardships we had to withstand are not what it seems.

In a fast paced world and social media connecting all of us through the screens on our phone, it's easy for us to forget about the reality we're in. The life we live through our own lenses and how we perceive our reality is grounded when you watch people around you. To wonder about the different lives each person leads and redirects you to the mundane and how this is what life is, not what we show and watch through social media.

We were taught and really influenced that working hard is the only thing important in this world, to work hard against all odds and abandon the inner voices. We were told not to listen to our inner voices and to just follow blindly the society and what they tell us what is important that we overlook the peace within ourselves and our resolve. In this episode we talk about how can we be ready to receive what is meant for us and how can we meet the universe halfway by aligning ourselves and influencing the energies around us.

Somehow when life hits hard and things start to become blurry it gets harder to face the music and deal with the things that haunt us. Fear is a part of life that keeps us alive but it also is the one that breeds doubt into our lives and what we can do. This episode hopes to unravel that fears are okay and doubts will come and shame will take over but just like the good things this is not forever. Please take the time to reflect on how far you've come.

Sometimes we have to allow good things to happen despite the fear we have of it. I think it's natural for us to look into the worst case scenario as a way to protect ourselves when the things we want don't actually happen the way we want to. So as a defense we nip it in the bud before it causes us much more pain and sorrow. But then I realized that by doing so, we stop so many good things from happening because of this fear. I learned to allow myself to revel in the good and have a wonderful moments of life whether I'm certain of it or not. The moment I did that, I found much more joy and love for the inevitable highs and lows of life. That's when. I took the risk to love someone else other than myself, to let myself get to know and see Guil for all that he is. I hope you enjoy this episode just as much as I did, a big leap for me for sure.

Take it a day at a time.    This episode stands as a reminder for each one of us to ground ourselves back into our now and allow things to flow. That instead of looking too far ahead and worrying about things that hasn’t happened yet we deal with what we can each day. Not going too hard on ourselves and allowing space to grow.    It’s always rushed    With everything that’s going on, with social media on blast day after day we can’t help but put ourselves in a position of much stress and pressure. We aim for the skies and we want them to happen overnight, we plan for the future expecting big changes to happen in a blink of an eye. Everything seems like it’s easy to gain because of what we see but that isn’t the truth. A lot of these things you see took time, effort and a whole lot of work in shadows. Mostly these people you see took it a day at a time.    We have to stop glorifying of much of the things we see in social media and aim for it even without putting in the work. What we can do to change this is find out how we could live “OUR” lives, our paths a day at a time. I know it’s great to dream, it’s amazing to want grand things for yourself but you have to work for it, and sometimes thinking too far ahead paralyzes you in both fear and excitement that you don’t get to do the things that you should be doing now in order to reach those goals. That you worry too much of how it will all happen without even figuring out what is it you need to do now.      I’m an overthinker    I use this line, a day at a time or a step at a time whenever I spiral into overthinking. I usually have moments when I’m alone and just with my thoughts that I start to ruminate. Ruminating is a process of thinking about the past and the future too much. Overanalyzing what was and all the what ifs. This usually starts when I get so overwhelmed with what’s happening with my life which happens a lot, and sometimes when nothing’s happening I start thinking maybe I’m not doing enough. So whenever this gets to me I have to pull away, take a walk and revisit my tasks for the day, my immediate goals and where I choose to go. From there I get to really take it one day at a time.    Your thoughts have power    I also realized that whenever I let myself go deep into my thoughts I start Catastrophizing everything, a process in which you  create negative outcomes about things that have already happened and is about to happen. You start to instill so much fear that it may actually cause things to be a disaster.    When I say your thoughts have power, it has such power to affect your perception, communication and situations in ways you couldn’t imagine. It becomes a magnet of what you thought and it can turn it into reality. So with taking it a day at a time you also get to realize that it wasn’t so bad after all, that it could also go so many different directions that could be good for you.        Even when I don’t know what to do yet I have faith that I will somehow, with each day that passes where I show up for myself and stay in my present I will find my way.   I understand how scary things are and how it all could be so bad and cruel but the truth about all this is we don’t have control of what has already happened. We can’t change the past but only learn from it, yet we also can’t be certain of the future and what it brings, we only can hope. The only thing we have control of is how we live each day of our lives. Building the little puzzle pieces as we move forward, checking which piece fits the puzzle and which works for us.  And focusing your energy on the things that you could do today, changes so much of what the future holds for you. Do good now, reap what you sow.      But be reminded that even if everything seems so out of reach, put in the work and your big break will come through. You are the one that lives your life each and every day so don’t ever compare your life to other’s life. They have their own things...

It's okay to not have it all figured out Life is very erratic, unexpected and unpredictable we can't hold on to something forever and things won't always go exactly the way we planned it. Growing up I thought that everything just goes smoothly and one way up. You go to school, you do great in school You get a good job that pays and swoosh You're going to live your happily ever after working every day of your life just to sustain what you thought is life. As I went into adulthood I thought I tailed myself and my family because I wasn't the typical gitted child who graduated with honors and got a nice corporate job that will pay for everything I need or even overflow. Then that's when I got pressured and I went on about how come I don't have it all figured out. I pushed myself hard. chasing the dreams of other people like it was mine. I banked on other people's idea of success other than my own. But it was all relative, success, money and everything else. I got jobs that paid oway, some that didn't and most of the time I felt demotivated and lost doing these jobs. I felt like a robot just getting by each and every day with no hope and zest for life. But no one ever told me that I would long for meaning and purpose. That most of my adult life I'd be spending most of my time figuring things out. Now that I've been open to a lot more experiences and other things there is more to life than actually having it all figured out, because life in it's essence is all about navigating through various streams of emotions, work, and figuring but your place in this world. And as the world go round things continue to change, people collectively continue to grow. https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

How to cope with ghosting?   Objective: A lot of the struggles about ghosting is now to cope and deal with it. How to feel the necessary emotions and regroup after this devastating phenomenon.   Here are some of the ways we could bring ourselves to try and do to cope with this tragic phenomenon.   Stop blaming yourself Ghosting often leads us to blame ourselves. we always resort to thinking maybe we could have done things differently so they wouldn't leave us.   → Reflect and remember it may have to do more about them than you    → It's not your fault that the person can't handle The relationship and maturely give you the truth.   → They didn't leave just because of you they left without a word because they can't deal with the pressures of the relationship and their own resolve on this.      Face the reality   Being ghosted brings about shame and unearths all the trauma from past rejections. And being ghosted makes us feel unseen, unheard and even unworthy. That's why it's important for us to face the music and see it for what it is.   Ghosting is more about the ghost rather than the victim.   → Start with self-compassion be kinder to yourself while this feels like it's all on you remember it takes two to tango. It's much as their fault than it is yours, but mostly on them and their personal issues that most of the time doesn’t have much to do with us.   → Recenter and ask the questions do they even match up with you? → Grieve and feel the pain allow yourself to go through the experience.   Choose yourself and build yourself up.   It's not easy moving forward from an open ended ending but what you have to do to move forward is continue caring for yourself, invest in the things you love, become a person so far away from the past that you won't even recognize that person anymore.   → Start investing on the people you love, and yourself. Reframe your mind about how you think of the ghost. They are the ones who violated the contract of maturity, that in turn tells you that they weren't right for you either.     → Find your resolve, get back on track focusing on self-care and compassion.   → Build a healthier lifestyle and increase mindfulness to be able to create an atmosphere of accepting things for what they are When you focus on you, you attract the same people who practice the same values as you do. https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

Why do people ghost?   Objective It's so obvious that ghosting has been prevalent in modern times and has caused a lot of hearts to silently ache with no resolutions in sight. This episode seeks to discuss what ghosting is and what it means to be ghosted to fully grasp its purpose and have a little glimpse of how we could handle it.   What is ghosting? The act of completely vanishing from a person's life without saying goodbye after efforts of building a relationship.   Ways of breaking up.  ·    Self-blame ·    Open Confrontation ·    Avoidance ·    Cost escalation ·    Mediated communication  ·    Ghosting       Ghosting is more about the ghost rather than the victim. Ghosts usually have unresolved issues or have trouble expressing themselves that they couldn't be honest with you or themselves It speaks more about their character than you.       Why it hurts   it causes so much confusion and begins to take a toll on the haunted. If they aren't mentally in a good place they can spiral out. Lastly the lack of closure leaves so much questions.     Effects of ghosting ·    Causes the ghostee (haunted) to self-doubt ·    Will impact how they look at relationships ·    To some extent emotional trauma

Building my habits and my dream life.      Objective:    Life will always be unpredictable and a lot of the time we’ll be faced with different situations that would require us to adjust and recenter ourselves frequently. In this episode we’d talk about how building habits help us to be resilient and adjust to change easier than we used to!        I’m a believer of the small habits you build, make your life. That if you are to be trusted and responsible for the little things you are capable of the bigger things.      Why are habits important?      Habits is directly related to longevity. Running the marathon of life rather than sprinting it and losing the will to live half way. Your habits will help recenter you.    Why did I start changing my habits? Was I bad? Was I someone who wasn’t doing what I’m meant to be?  I love my life, I make sure I live the most out of it but I knew I could do and be more. There things that I was literally choosing over and I had to think if my will power to improve and grow is stronger than me enjoying my comfort. I wanted to live up to how my life is beautiful by making myself worthy of the life I’m living and choose to create for me.      How to change your habits?

Notes:

·       Identify all your goals both personal and work.

·       See what habits you have to change in order for you to achieve those goals of yours. (SMART)

·       Take control over your habits: Your brain can’t tell the difference between bad and good habits.

·       Use The Golden Rule to produce the right changes: 1: Use the same cue 2: CHANGE THE ROUTINE! 3: Provide the same reward.

How to stick to your habits    Start small – build your confidence in doing little tasks and changes that you can attain first. Don’t forget to celebrate that small win.   Identify your weaknesses and excuses – What are the usual things that hinder your from making this habit stick? What do you usually do or say to let you get off the hook for accountability this time?      Activate your new habits – make sure you set yourself up to succeed. Prepare all you need, even mentally reminding yourself of the things and habits you need to try and keep. Hype yourself up, prepare days ahead or really push yourself pass that breaking point of doing it and standing up by your word.      Expect failure – Expect that the first few tries the habit you’re trying to keep won’t stick, your excuses will become stronger and will tell you to stop because you’re failing. Keep going, you failing just means you haven’t found what works for you yet, and use it to your advantage.      Keep track – List down the habits you’re trying to keep and have a checklist of it daily so that you have a tangible record and proof of your success and failures and even can help you track why there were days you couldn’t keep that habit.    https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

Living my life as if I’m already living the dream

Objective:    As we prepare and get ourselves ready how should you live up to your life? What are the things you could do to embody and visualize the life you’re dreaming of and wanting for yourself? In this episode we’ll talk about the ways to envision and embody the life we aim to have!    Once you’re prepared in your off season, already grounded and centered also fully understanding of what you could achieve and be. This is the time for your to manifest your life!    Why do we do this?    To align our spirits and energies for what we ask for. When you’re ready and already living within your means and still really trying to reach the top, it gets easier for you to reframe your perspective about life.  You become more present, you enjoy more of your life and you realize you’re dream life isn’t too far away after all.    We get caught up with reaching the tops of our mountain that we miss on the opportunity of enjoying every bit of the journey that makes life worth living. We forget to enjoy that success in taking the first step, we forget the mundane because we’re so used to it and have our focus set elsewhere.      How can you work on this?    I tap into the universe by living each day of my life as if I’d already achieved all my dreams.  ·    With gratefulness ·    With grit and passion of pursuing growth  ·    Understanding that we’re lifelong learners and life’s curve balls will never end.      I live as if my dreams are already fulfilled because You don’t have to get ready when you stay ready. -Chichi Devayne Meaning you’re always prepared to take a shot at the opportunities that go your way that contributes to your dream.    This kind of energy also attracts likeminded people in your life and also good energies and opportunities. Because you constantly seek growth it will come to you. When the student is ready the teacher appears.      What I learned from doing this?      Is that there were so many things in my life that weren’t really aligned to who I wanted to be.    I had habits I need to develop and skills I need to learn to be that person in my future.    That I had more than I was thinking and it gave me peace and faith in the process I’m going through.    That the energy I put out there comes back to me, the more that I look into the bad, that’s more of what I’ll see.    That it may be difficult for all of us but living with intention and mindfully will help us be present and also with our sights in traveling to the path we wish to take.  https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

off-sea·son noun 1.     a time of year when a particular activity, typically a sport, is not engaged in. "during baseball's winter off-season"       Objective:    The wait is the most frustrating moment for most of us. We aim high and we do our best to reach our goals but sometimes we’re faced with a not yet. That waiting season for our turn to get a seat at the table, to get the opportunity of our lifetime that will greatly affect how our future is going to be. Now what do should we do in this off season is what this episode will be about!    Flow:   What is off season for me?   Is that time of waiting or that time of conditioning and preparing for game day in most sports. When I use it in the general sense of life it’s that waiting season, that process that “We should trust”. It looks different for everyone, it could be you waiting for your results from a school you applied for, you waiting for your visa or just you waiting to graduate. It’s that waiting period before you go on and get grinding.    The thing is I think when people think about this, they just ultimately wait for their time to come. While that is encouraged and patience indeed is a virtue, there are so many things we have yet to learn. We need to keep ourselves ready.    Just like any sports and anything we do in our lives we have to prepare we have to get ourselves ready for what is to come. Instead of just waiting patiently there are areas of our lives that need transforming or tending to.    So on my off season, in the moment of waiting I seek growth in various directions. It may bring me to realizations and opportunities I have yet to uncover and unravel.      How I work on myself on my off season.    ·    I recenter and dig deep to understand what do I want.  o  Since there isn’t much that I can do to rush things I want to understand what is it that I really want, is the person I am today aligned to the goals and dreams of my future.  o  Am I missing out on some signs about the lessons I should be learning? Am I missing out on my present life with the anticipation of what is to come.    ·    I condition myself to the life I choose. Looking for the things that I need to learn and grow during this off season  o  What are the things that the future me should have as I work my way up to the life I’ve been dreaming to live. o  What habits should I try to have, how can I live a life aligned to my dreams.  o  What do I imagine my future life would look like, what does a day in that future life look like. (As a form of manifestation)    ·    I tend to my relationships and celebrate the growth of people around me.  o  I know that the anticipation of the future may take my time away from the people I have with me now. Sometimes I look forward to what I want neglecting and taking for granted the people I have with me now . o  While I wait I make sure to strengthen the relationships I have to keep the fire burning so that when I move on to the next chapter of my life, those who wish to stay through the journey will feel the love you have for them.  o  We also have to understand that we live on borrowed time and we don’t know when our lives will end so this is an important time to ground yourself in the now while holding out for your future.    ·    Constantly making an effort to be happy about the little things to prepare myself to be happy for the greater things to come.  o  Now one of things I live by is that if you can be trusted with a little thing or happy with the simple stuff you can be trusted and enjoy the grander stuff that life has to offer.  o  Now these detours, the wait may be uncomfortable but it is essential.  o  So while we wait, we are taught to make a constant effort to find happiness in the spot we’re in, while we anticipate of the happiness that is to come we don’t forget to live in our present.  o  To say that we truly lived every moment, we often forget so many things so quickly with the...

de·tour /ˈdēto͝or/

Verb  detour;   a deviation from a direct course or the usual procedure especially : a roundabout way temporarily replacing part of a route. detour. verb.     Objective:    One thing is true till the end of our lifetime is that life will always be uncertain. That whatever we set out or plan to do will not go exactly the way we planned. So this episode hopes to calm our minds amidst the storms of our lives and all the detours we take to get to the point of where we believe that we have reached our destination.    Flow:   The destination isn’t the end goal, because when you reach your destination you’d want more.  ·    We often hear people say that no one will ever be satisfied. That we would always want more unless we effortfully seek contentment.  ·    That when you reach the top of the mountain, you’ll enjoy the view but you’ll want to fly next, or you’ll look for your next adventure, the never ending pursuit of happiness.    It’s the process that we could enjoy and fully immerse ourselves in our lives.  ·    It’s the journey that matters most in our way to our dream life and the final stages of our life.  ·    The process and journey is what makes us and what got us to the top. The people we meet the memories we make. And really being able to be present in our lives is one of the biggest flex.    Detours doesn’t mean no, it could mean not yet and there is something better for you out there.    ·    Sometimes these detours lead us to our greater purposes in life. It could reveal a truth about ourselves we never really had a chance to work on because of being so focused on what we think we want.  ·    Sometimes detours reveal the opportunities that we missed out on because of our hyperfocus on doing the things we do the way we want it.    It shifts our perspective, it shows us how much little we control in the lives we’re living.    ·    When we’re dead set on achieving something it we don’t get it the way we intend to, it causes us too much stress and the more we resist it the harder it is for us to see the good that detours bring.  ·    Detours opens our minds to new possibilities and that we should see these detours as a blessing.  ·    Means we have so much more to learn in this chapter of our lives before moving forward.  ·    Detours prepare us for better things.  Last message: It’s okay, you are where you’re meant to be.  https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

After going through so many struggles, from thoughts of giving up, feeling lost and afraid, self-doubt and reaching the tipping point of things. It all takes a toll and sometimes we’re left with a tough choice whether to save ourselves of the people we love. In this episode we’d hope to clarify why saving ourselves can end up saving more people in the long run.      I don’t know about you but there’s been so much talk about self-love lately that almost everywhere in social media we are reminded to put our needs first. I for one am also one of those who preach self-love and why being secure about yourself and the love for yourself saves you from so much heartache and pain.    How self-love is an act of saving yourself from future troubles and high expectations of people who’d end up disappointing you. Self-love really goes beyond just doing things alone, or buying things for the self. That’s one aspect of it but what it really is, it is choosing to love yourself even when you don’t feel like it, it’s knowing your boundaries and walking away from things that destroy you, it’s taking the time off when everything else get overwhelming. It’s maintaining yourself in order for you to keep going and fighting through this tough world.      Let me tell you this, I wasn’t the epitome of self-love back then, nor am I the perfect example now, but I am trying. Self-love is a process that never ends because each day you’d completely feel different about yourself and as you grow you’d have to learn how to love each and every part of yourself as you go.    There was a time in my life where I wanted to please everyone around me. I wanted to be that perfect son that got good grades and who does extracurriculars, who always has their shit together. I put out plans and shared it with other people with the hopes that I could fill the void inside me longing for the validation of others. I wanted everyone to love me, to like who I am. I had to say yes to things I didn’t want in my life just so I could be “in”. To the point that I stay in relationships where the other person does not even seek to try and understand me and be with me. I begged for people to stay, I chased love and acceptance from everyone but me. Everything that I knew about me was more about the people around me than myself. I wanted everyone to be proud of every single decision in my life and unknowingly I became a passenger in my own life. Waiting on people, hoping on people to fill me with love, to exceed all my expectations of who they are only to be disappointed in the end.   Then a point in my life came where so many changes had happened and what I used to know about myself, love, and the people around me was completely shattered. I was outed, I got cheated on and I lost people in my life who I thought would be with me for this lifetime. When these things were taken away from me, I never knew how broken I was, how much saving I needed because I was too busy saving them, living my life for them. When this happened I had to wander to different places to find pieces of me in the most unexpected places. It wasn’t easy to shed the old parts of me and let them wither and die. I had to go through phases of a new life to be reborn. I started to sit down with myself and ask the questions, WHO AM I?  WHAT AM I WORTH? AM I ALWAYS GOING TO BE HURT LIKE THIS?    I acted like I was the victim, of my own doings and the choices I made because that’s what it seems. Then I realized that I have been giving so much of me than I am left empty and left for dead when all these people chose to walk away. I was never there for myself the way I was there for other people. I had to reclaim my life. I had to rediscover the things I dream of, the things I want for myself and all that I am capable of. I started doing things for me, going out to new places, joining events and seminars that spark my interest and even started to create contents, poetry and many more. I did all this...

When enough is enough.      Objective:    In life we would be faced with the question when is enough, enough? There would be people and circumstances in our lives that would force us to be more patient, forgiving and sometimes even be taken advantage of just because we don’t know when to walk away from the things that bring us more harm than good. This episode seeks to guide you and ask the difficult questions about the things in your life and help shed a light and empower you to drop the things that causes you pain.    Flow:   When is it enough?    ·    You find yourself always drained in all aspects of your life. You feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world and no one can truly understand what’s going on with you. Not even the person you “Love”. When you feel more alone spending time doing the things you usually enjoy and even being with the people that says they love you.  ·    You feel like you’re the one carrying the whole relationship and if you stopped trying too hard you’re anxious that it will all crumble to pieces.  ·    When you don’t even recognize the person in the mirror, when you’ve changed significantly and don’t even know who you are and where you’re going.  ·    When you keep making excuses for other people and their inaction and faults. You think it’s being understanding but we all have needs and all relationships are a two way street that both parties need to tend to. When you try to make reasons for the actions of other people thinking it’s okay when it’s not, leaving you to take yourself for granted too.  ·    Listen to your heart and the universe if this is what you want, or what was meant for you. Is there a reason for why you’re experiencing.    Why don’t we walk away from the things and people that hurt us?    ·    Sometimes even if we know the reality already we choose to look the other way because of fear. We’re afraid if we do, we’d lose the people we love, and we would have to undergo change that maybe we’re not ready for.  ·    That we hope at the end of the day they would change the truth is but you can’t change people, that doesn’t want to change. You can’t help people who doesn’t want your help.  ·    And that the moment you stop doing the things you do to keep these people in orbit and they drift away, it shows that they aren’t meant to stay in your life. That they’re time in your life has passed.  ·    Also that change is good because it forces you to grow and growth is uncomfortable but in all the ways worth it.        We have to see it for what it is.    ·    The questions we have to ask to ourselves is that are we seeing things for what it is? Are we in a situation where we take for granted ourselves and our needs just to take care of the things that’s around us.  ·    Are we happy about who we’ve become and who we’re becoming. Do you know who you are amidst all this chaos?  ·    Sometimes we really have to be hit with reality first and reflect on our own reality, meeting reality on reality’s terms. Not in our fantasies and what we wish things to be.  ·    If you realize that this isn’t something that the past, present and future you would want for yourself it’s time to ask yourself the harder questions about your current relationships and things in your life.          How do we free ourselves and walk away?      ·    When you have taken the time to answer all those tough questions it’s time for you to start your path to walking away and letting go of things that does not serve you anymore.  ·    To keep your inner peace and continue with personal growth you have to know where you want yourself to go and who and what you want to keep in your life.  ·    Just like Marie Kondo’s philosophy, walking away requires you to go through all your things, relationships, circumstances and ask does it spark joy still if not you have to find a way to let it go.  ·    These are things I always try to remember whenever I am deciding when I...

What's wrong with me?       Objective:    As we go through the journey of life we’d encounter people and situations that would make us doubt who we are and what we’re worth. These will lead us to question all the things we’ve done and makes us think that it’s all because of us why things didn’t go the way we expect it to. This episode seeks to dig deep with these thoughts and to see if it’s really just on us. Are we the only ones who were at fault?    Flow: Why do we always think It’s us who’s not enough?    ·    Self-Blaming a survival response when a negative experience happens like when someone stops talking to us or something doesn’t go our way, we always look inwards and ask what went wrong.   ·    As humans we always would like to have the reason as to why things happen that way.  ·    A part of us thinks maybe it was something that we could have done because those are the only things we have an idea of and power over.  ·    By blaming ourselves, we maintain the perception that we’re still in control of the situation and ultimately safe -even when we’re not.      Why do we blame ourselves for the things we can’t control?    ·    There are various reasons why we do this because at this point it’s a learned behavior. Meaning that the people around us may have something to do with it and how we grew up in our household.  ·    We may have been surrounded by people who don’t take accountability for their actions and puts the blame on people who doesn’t have anything to do with it. Usually happens with parents and kids who have dysfunctional relationships or being with a toxic partner.    ·    Because we want to have a sense of control, being able to know figure out what went wrong on our end to be able to avoid these negative experiences in the future.  ·    Let’s remember that blaming ourselves is a survival response and when triggered it causes us to be hyper vigilant and fixated on the things that could have been rather than the truth of what happened.     How do we free ourselves from self-blame?      ·    TAKE A STEP BACK. Whenever you experience a negative experience, try to step back and not go into problem solving mode so quickly. Feel first the pain, the guilt and question it.    ·    Question the experience on the way it made you feel, asking the true story of what happened, understand what are you telling yourself and compare it to the actual story of what happened. Reframe your thoughts and look at things in a less biased perspective. You can process this with a friend if you can.    ·    Decide how you want to deal with that place of hurt, shame and guilt. See how it really makes you feel and try to see it as it is instead of judging yourself harshly and all the could have been.   ·    Be compassionate to yourself, a negative experience is bound to happen in our lives and most of the time it’s not in our control, all we could do is experience and learn from it.    ·    Take responsibility not blame, if you have a part in how this all happens make peace with it and accept what has happened and learn from it. Blaming yourself forever won’t solve anything and will just lead you to doubt yourself.        https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

fear /ˈfir/

noun an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

"he is prey to irrational fears"       Objective:    This episode will tackle all the ways we could use fear into our advantage. A more personal approach in acknowledging all our fears and allowing it to just pass us by. Fear is just our thoughts of how things could all go wrong and at different parts of our lives fear has also helped us to move forward and keep on surviving. So being honest and vulnerable about fear is one way I could share with you how I deal with them as well.             Flow: What is Fear? Why is fear important?   ·    Fear is an emotion and that at various points in our lives it has helped us to survive. It tells our body on how to react to certain things and it helped us make decisions that saves our butts from further trouble.  ·    When people think of Fear the first things that come up is the idea of being scared. Of being scared of certain things and situations. Which somehow leaves a bad notion that fear is negative. That we should not fear anything at all. That’s a lie okay.  ·    Fear is a part of our life and has always been an essential part of our survival. It has taught us to not repeat certain things we’ve done before, it has alerted us to stay away from people that may cause us harm. The right dose of fear will help keep us on our toes and live a life that’s full.        What do I fear? Why do I need to know what I fear?    ·    My fears:  o  Failing in life o  Not achieving my dreams o  Not being happy and fulfilled o  Lizards o  I’m not doing enough o  Death of loved ones  o  The future   ·    We need to understand what we fear to know how we could deal with it. To know where we could grasp the courage and the heart to face all these.  ·    To ground ourselves and not let these fears take over and immobilize us and keep us stuck.          Let’s welcome Fear: The benefits of fear     ·    Fear help keeps us alive. Fear in the right dose makes us feel most alive and excited. This is evident in extreme sports or moments where we overcome something we’ve always fear we couldn’t.  ·    Fear makes us work harder, because we fear failure, we fear humiliation and we fear not making it.  ·    Fear makes us live in the moment, that at any given time we may not have what we have anymore, so it teaches to stay grounded and make the most of our NOW.    ·    Fear also allows us to become open and vulnerable to people. It allows us to seek help when needed and at the right moments.    ·    Fear also gives us clarity in life, when your dreams and big moves in life scares you it points a mirror to what really matters to you and how far are you willing to go for those things that matter.      Taking back our power   ·    I will start with courage isn’t the absence of fear but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear. A quote by Franklin Roosevelt and was also explained in several movies like LOTR and Lion King and etc.  ·    That the brave fears things but does it anyway. How do we get over the fear? Do we truly get over the fear?  ·    The big fears are valid and we can use it to our advantage to avoid doing reckless things and take precautions that could help us avoid these life threatening fears. Like illnesses, accidents and the likes. Being vigilant enough to be cautious in these respective areas.  ·    But those small doses and non-life threatening we should push ourselves and go above and beyond it.  ·    To be brave we first have to admit that we fear something. Acknowledgement of what we fear is key.  ·    Face those fears as much as you can and admit when you need help in dealing with these fears.  ·    Dig deep and assess why these fears have much power on you and take action to train and empower yourself to keep moving forward....

lost /lôst,läst/   adjective 1.   1.  unable to find one's way; not knowing one's whereabouts.       Objective:    We all feel lost sometimes and how do we get back on track when we feel like we don’t even know where to start. As nightbirde said it’s okay to be lost sometimes. In this episode we’ll talk about how can we stay grounded even if we’re lost and how to find our way back to who we are and our goals.        Flow:   Why do we feel lost sometimes?    ·    One of the reasons we feel lost in life is that growing up we’re so used to having things set up for us. We went through school with people telling us what to learn, who to be and what to do.  ·    Now when finish school and we’re left with who we are, do we really know “Ourselves”. Are we equipped to know what we want to be and who we choose to be.  ·    It’s a constant struggle to shred off the expectations of people around us of who we are and who we’re supposed to be in their eyes. But what really matters is that who are you to yourself? It’s you who’ll live your life not them so these are the questions you have to ask yourself.      Being lost is a part of life       ·    With a chapter closing in our lives, doing  and experiencing new things we often really don’t get to know where to pick it up and go from there. Just like every new endeavor we go through we’ll have to adjust and assess the situations we’re in. ·    We have to accept that we won’t always know what’s going on and sometimes all we could do is have faith in the things we’re doing and maybe someday it will all make sense. ·    Sadly there isn’t a curriculum and a blueprint that we could follow for our lives, because whatever we goal and set it to be it’s not always going to go the way we expect and want it to be. The unpredictability of life is too great for us to have a straight path to our goals.     How can we find our way back?     ·    In times that we feel lost, we feel like we don’t even know where to begin. It feels like the world isn’t making enough sense for us to understand why we are in this certain situation. It also makes us feel anxious of where we’re headed because we’re not entirely sure of what is to become of us.  ·    We question if we’re on the right path, are we going to make it? Will everything fall and crumble beneath our feet. How do we survive from this? These questions will arise but you have to hang on and have faith.  ·    When we feel lost the best thing to do is take a step back, realign and recenter your life. You have to go back to who you are. That’s why it’s important to know the “self” so that you can reassess your life and the paths your taking to the bigger picture and also to the values that you deem important in your life.  ·    If you don’t know who you are yet you have to ask yourself the hard questions and know the ways you want to live your life for you.    Focus on what you can control   ·    Now that we’re on the same page and understand how we could work on the things we need to do while we’re lost. Work on the things you can control, build habits, create your lifestyle because the things you do and value will transcend on how you live your life.   https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

suc·cess /səkˈses/   noun 1.                  1.  the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. "there is a thin line between success and failure"     Objective:    This episode aims to break myths on success being a one shoe fits all and to talk about moments when we feel like giving up and how we could bounce back from it. How do we get out of that pit of self-doubt and feeling like we are not enough because we don’t have the success that this world has taught us .                       Flow:   What were the reasons that made you want to give up the things you’re doing?      ·    I felt like giving on everything that I do just because I don’t see external changes that I expected to see.  ·    I tried so hard to conform with what society deems as successful, this in turn put so much pressure on me and didn’t get to enjoy the fullness of life around me.       What does it mean to be successful?       ·    Successful in its sense of the word finishing something you aimed for. ·    It’s not a one shoe fits all approach, but success if relative to the person defining it due to the differences in perspectives, opinions and values. You find someone successful if they are aligned with the values you deem that a successful person should have.     How do we push thru the idea of giving up?     ·    Think before giving up, see and assess yourself if this situation you’re in is aligned with who YOU are and the life you choose to have. What will you do with immense success if it’s not something you enjoy doing. That it causes you to question your very existence in this world.  ·    Dig deeper are you giving up or feeling like you’ve lost the fight because of other people’s definition of success. Have you always compared yourself to how other people expect you to become. Their opinions may sting but yours is the one that matters most. Look back and see how far you’ve come from 5 years or even 3 years ago, you’ll be surprised at how much you’ve grown. That in itself is success. TO GROW AND STILL BE ALIVE TODAY.  ·    Don’t give up just because you’re failing in the eyes of others. Besides when you admit that you can’t handle things now doesn’t mean you can’t handle it next time. We never actually give up we just say not now and come better prepared the next.    It’s okay to not be ready, it’s okay to say not now.    ·    In our lives we will have countless moments where we’d feel overwhelmed and unprepared for situations and tasks. Not because we’re weak but it’s just not the time for us there yet.  ·    The reason for that is because of our constant rushing of things, now when things get overwhelming you have the right to say I’m not in the right state of mind to deal with this. (Simone Biles Reference)  ·    Not now doesn’t mean you’re giving up, you simply know your capacity. "coming here was a mistake"     Objective:    This episode would like to help us deal with mistakes outwardly and especially to those people who have wronged us. It doesn’t mean that it’s normal to make mistakes is that we’d tolerate it and allow people to keep repeating it to us. This will help us voice out our grievances and educate people and their actions and hold them accountable, but still with a kind and compassionate heart because we know how it’s like.    Flow: -      All about intention! Was it deliberate or not?    ·    For people who hurt is we have to figure out if it’s on purpose and deliberate, were they really out to hurt us or was it an unprecedented or isolated case.  ·    Now try to gauge the relationship is it worth your energy in dealing and saving. Do we have to be bothered? Because sometimes we don’t maybe they’re just passing and the best way to deal with it is cut them off.  ·    If it’s worth saving air out what you felt while asking for an explanation if this relationship is dear to you. Ask for their side and try to know how they see the situation.     -An honest mistake done by people you love.    ·    Now if it wasn’t on purpose and comes from a place of concern and love ·    You have to see if the damage done is something you could forgive and work around.  ·    Lead them to the right path, forgiving them doesn’t necessarily mean allowing them back in the same space so quickly you can allow them to earn it again especially if trust was broken.  ·    Keep an open mind and heal on your own pace and see if you could muster up the strength to bury the hatchet.    -Set your boundaries and limits   ·    Keep your space sacred, allow people to have enough space to learn from their mistakes but don’t let them take over your space. "coming here was a mistake"     Objective:    Lessons and mistakes are part of our lives and now that we’ve accepted this and understood how integral it is in our lives. How making mistakes, learning from them helps in our transformation and our becoming. In this episode we’d learn what mindset to have when we deal with future mistakes.    Flow: -      Relapsing is part, repeating mistakes may happen and it’s okay   ·    Learning is a process so when we make mistakes and we try to learn from it there would be mishaps. The only thing bad about is when we continue on doing it without changing anything.  ·    So be kinder to yourself and take a few steps back to find what works best for you in dealing with this mistake.    -Remember you’ve made mistakes and learned from it    ·    I have learned from my past mistakes and it allowed me to grow doesn’t mean you can’t do it again with new mistakes  ·    The world is ever changing there would be things out of reach for you but you shouldn’t fear anything especially making mistakes because we continually learn.  ·    You’ve made mistakes and continually got back up and changed your ways and understood it the best way you can.    -Kindness and compassion above all   ·    It’s easy to forget all these truths about mistakes and how we all can bounce back from it. noun an action or judgment that is misguided or wrong.

"coming here was a mistake"     Objective:    Knowing fully well that mistakes are a part of our lives we must learn from it. These mistakes that we commit are things we have to reflect on to prevent us from making the same mistakes again. To not let ourselves be consumed by just the idea that these mistakes are all that we’re made of.    Flow: -      Mistakes are usually honest mistakes    ·    We call them mistakes because these are unintentional, because we didn’t know better  ·    We always would have that we could have and should have at this moment.  ·    If you deliberately make these mistakes without making any changes and learning from this, is it even still a mistake?    -We don’t only learn from mistakes, we have to reflect upon it.   ·    Now that you’re aware of your mistakes, to learn from it you have to ponder upon it.  ·    What lead you to making those mistakes, what caused it and how you can do better to avoid it.  ·    If you don’t learn from it we waste the opportunity to better and improve ourselves.  -If you keep making the same mistakes you gotta dig deeper.     ·    At some point making the same mistakes over and over again is exhausting and it may be rooted in something deeper that you have to understand and see through.  ·    Sometimes it would take us a longer time to unpack and unlearn but be patient with yourself on that.  https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

Don’t be anxious of what it will reveal because it will only reveal a part of you that you may have neglected or something that doesn’t work for you.  ·    Giving yourself this space will allow a much kinder inner voice that may help guide you to the path you must be in.       -Finding yourself in your mistakes.     ·    The growth you’d experience after making a mistake will be good or bad which is based on your own actions and decisions on how to deal with it.  ·    Now that you have your space and time to see how this mistake has affected you, you will find pieces of yourself hidden in these mistakes that would in turn make you strive to be a better person than yesterday.  ·    Sometimes it allows you to see the things that doesn’t serve you anymore as well.      Don’t be afraid to make mistakes.      ·    Making mistakes mean you took a shot at your life. It means you tried as much as you wanted and took a chance.  ·    You were courageous enough to see what worked for you and what doesn’t  ·    For all we know you are who you are today because your mistakes have taught you lessons that only the universe could teach you.  https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

noun an action or judgment that is misguided or wrong.

"coming here was a mistake"     Objective:    Understanding that as humans we are allowed to make mistakes and it is inevitable. We go hard on ourselves to make sure not to make a mistake but it is essentially what makes us human, our imperfections and the likes. With mistakes we grow and learn to become the ones we’re meant to be each day.         Flow:   -What will this season by about? Why choose to talk about mistakes?    ·    It is part of the journey, mistakes is a very personal experience and processing them is quite exquisite and unique for everybody.        -If you think you’re good at what you do and won’t commit any mistakes think again.     ·    Even if you’ve been doing something for years like in sports, in your career and all the likes, the probability of making a mistake is less but is still possible. Our conditions and surroundings may affect our abilities to make a decision.  ·    One slip up, one moment of inattentiveness can cause us to make a mistake. Sometimes these mistakes would make us think we’re loser, and will make us doubt our abilities as a person.      -      Don’t be harsh on yourself     ·    Remember that your mistakes does not define you, it is a specific moment in time that shows you a piece of your humanity.  ·    You are allowed to make mistakes, it means you are growing and changing in a world that keeps turning.      The truth is we will never be perfect.      ·    It’s in our humanness that we learn through a hit and miss process. ·    We make sense out of the things in this world, we do something and we eventually find out what works for us in both mistakes and success.  ·    No matter how hard we work we will never be safe from making mistakes because things change and the concept of right and wrong also evolves with time.  ·    These mistakes will make up who you’ve become and becoming, doesn’t mean it’s bad it just sheds a light on the things you may have slipped up on.    https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

This is a bonus episode I did with my tiktok followers on a live stream! I had this silly thought in the car and I wanted to share it. How sometimes in our lives we are given multiple chances to blame our circumstances for who we've become but we have to realize that at a point in we also have a choice for the person we are becoming. Hope you enjoy this bonus episode!

How to be ready?    Objective:    Now we all know how we could look at setbacks and how we could use it as the platform of our comeback it’s time for us to prepare. Let’s get ready for the long haul. This is to remind you it won’t get easier from here, because working on yourself and your goals will be hard and is going to take a long while before it actualizes. Before results show up in front of your face. (Gym analogy- working out and the pump, the temporary high but results show over time) working out your habits and your being now will show up after constant work on ourselves.        Points:   -Life’s a marathon not a race.   ·    We hear these from people who’s been on the marathon of life longer than us.  ·    We have to understand and be prepared that the journey of self-improvement doesn’t end. That working our own setbacks takes time.  ·    There’s no rush for us to be at one point in time. What matters is how long can we go from where we are today because these changes you’ve made will manifest in its own time and it will come with its own rewards. Think of it like training for sports, the universe won’t throw you things you can’t overcome. The harder it gets it means the work you’ve put in yourself is being recognized by the universe.        -I don’t get ready I stay ready. (Chi Chi Devayne)    ·    When your mindset is like this, if you’re ready for what the world throws your way you’ll be on your feet quickly and work on the things that you’ve been manifesting.  ·    When we get overwhelmed by the things that’s happening think of it as the universe finally granting you all the things that you’ve been working so hard for, these are the fruits of your hard work.    -Take breaks, take it easy and keep going!    ·    Going through all this would be tough so go easy on yourself. Listen to your body and take care of yourself at every aspect.  ·    Take breaks, Schedule them so you won’t feel guilty of not being productive. It’s called productive rest.  ·    Brush yourself off and start again and pick up where you left off!    https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

There are many ways we could encounter moments of placing the blame on things we can’t control. In this episode we’ll talk about why is it important for us to take accountability and how we could ask help from others to keep us on track.

-What does it mean to take responsibility?    ·    We have to understand all the decisions we make have an equivalent effect. If we chose to stay on track then we reap the benefits. But the moment we stray from it, know that there will be some consequences to it.  ·    The reason why it’s important to take responsibility is because it’s also mental practice to keep ourselves in check.  ·    We can make the conscious decision of not doing the thing we need to do, and it’s okay as long as you’re ready to deal with what comes next.  ·    Taking responsibility means you are to be held accountable for the decisions you’ve made and no one is to blame for the effects of it whether it’s good or bad.        -Why take responsibility?     ·    With being able to comprehend what’s in your control and what you can take the responsibility for makes you a better person.  ·    It gives you more confidence in yourself and your abilities, it strengthens your convictions on your own principles, and have better relationships with people around you.  ·    People who take responsibility attracts the same people and is found to be less toxic because they are better aware of what’s going on within themselves and the world around them.  ·    Lastly it improves your decision making, it allows you to weigh things properly and stand up by your decisions.    -How to take responsibility?    ·    When making decisions you have to weigh the pros and cons. Ask yourself are you ready for whatever comes your way when you make this decision?  ·    Are you able to say, okay guys this is all on me. I won’t blame anyone if this goes south.  ·    If you can say that and if you are fully sure you are ready for all of it. Then go and do it!      -Finding accountability buddies?    ·    When dealing with changes and growth like this it’s recommended that you find a mentor, a buddy that would help you keep in line with your goals.  ·    This could be someone you share the same passions with and the like.  ·    Tell them your goals, and your steps! Message them when you’re feeling like you’re falling off the wagon of your responsibilities. Do that with your buddy vice versa as well. ·    Have a check in balance! Patience      noun 1. 1.  The capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.     Objective:    To have a patient heart and mind through the process we’re going through. Life isn’t linear unlike how the society tells us it is. Progress is different for everybody and also setbacks. Knowing this and accepting that it will always be different gives us a fresher perspective when it comes to being patient and compassionate toward ourselves as we go through these setbacks.            Flow:   -Why is it important that you develop a spirit of patience toward yourself in moments of setbacks?    ·    We judge ourselves based solely on our own standards of success which most of the time is flawed and shaped by the society without every factoring in what really goes on. What’s in and out of control. ITS NOT ONE SIZE FITS ALL. ·    It’s okay to keep pushing ourselves for the better but being so damn hard on ourselves and judging ourselves with someone else’s scoresheet could be very harmful. YOU ARE WORKING ON IT AND THAT’S WHAT MATTERS     -Comparing yourself to the progress of others and how they overcome their setbacks will not help.      ·    It’s like comparing two different things, you won’t get accurate results. ·    Each of us has our own unique way of dealing with things, you should be more focused on how far you’ve come from the person you used to be.  ·    Celebrate every little progress you’ve made from your previous self.    -IT TAKES PRACTICE AND TIME    ·    Working on your setbacks and the things that you somehow need to improve on takes time and effort . ·    You identify what you need to work on which was discussed in the previous episode. Knowing where to improve on will greatly help you in being able to find out how you could work on it.  ·    Make a plan of action on how you’ll work on it! On the next episode we’ll discuss on how will realigning priorities and setting priorities help you on this road of overcoming setbacks.        -      How can we be more patient with ourselves?    ·    Here are some ways we could practice this spirit of patience upon ourselves. ·    Remind ourselves that it is a normal part of life, setbacks lead us to a better place. It’s the platform of out comeback. It’s the chance for us to learn from our shortcomings and bounce back stronger than ever.  ·    Self-Reflection- note down the things you are working on and reflect on it each day to see progress and how’s it going for you.  ·    Celebrate all your small progress because small progress is still progress. Working on yourself will take time and effort.  ·    Lastly know that you are not alone, and working on yourself is already a great enough feat. It’s harder than everybody thinks it is.

Love Growth and Freedom: Season 4 Finale   Why is celebrating your wins important?      What does it mean to celebrate?   To acknowledge (a significant or happy day or event) with a social gathering or enjoyable activity.   If you are to acknowledge yourself as a person and all of who you are. Your wins and  progress also have the right to be acknowledged big or small.      We live our lives at a very fast pace thanks to the internet and social media we pass through our lives looking at the bigger picture and dream all the time. It has its benefits and adverse effects. Do we really get to live our life if we forget about the little things that happen within the day? Sometimes focusing too much on the bigger goals make us forget about the little things that we could be grateful for. Like maybe having that me time you need before you start your day. That little thank you note that was given to you by someone you helped. Or maybe a conversation with someone that struck something inside. We tend to forget these things and these are some of the things we could celebrate. It may seem mundane but it does wonders for your future goals.    These small wins, these progresses that happen on a daily basis can cause a ripple to all the things you may and could achieve. Celebrating these wins doesn’t have to be grand. By simply taking the time to reminisce it, thanking the universe that it happened simply allows us to acknowledge this win.    What could celebrating wins do for us? It allows us to show appreciation for the people around us, it could also maintain our motivation to reach our end goals. When we do this we also acknowledge that it takes time for us to reach our goals. As the tortoise and the hare has taught us is that slow and steady wins the race. Before anything else life isn’t really much of a race but it’s a marathon.

Benefits Of Celebrating Small Wins So now you’ve got an idea of why it’s necessary to celebrate small wins, now here are some fantastic reasons which make celebration compulsory.

  1. You Get Clarity: Yes, with celebrating small wins— you get clarity for your big goals. Where we do wrong is when we see only for more prominent achievements while neglecting the importance of small wins in life. By setting daily goals, we can see how the ultimate goal could be broken down into small steps.  When you start giving importance to small victories, you eventually start realizing that you are reaching close to your goal. It then helps you to stay more focus on reaching your destination.

  2. Remember Your Passion: We often time have to make it realize ourselves of what we are struggling for. By celebrating small wins, we recall ourselves of a reason why we have chosen those big goals and with what intentions.  Without rewarding yourself for the efforts you have made to be at your destination, you may feel like you’ve lost insight into your goal and even some of the passion.

  3. Gain Confidence & Motivation: It not always you feel the same confidence and motivation with which you have started your journey. Of course, with obstacles and problems in your way, seldom you may feel disappointed, discouraged, and broken. But when you learn to gain small wins, it becomes easy for you to fire back with the same power and confidence for bigger one goals. You can flip all the pages of efforts that you have made throughout the journey so far; it allows you to look back at how much you have achieved, how far you have come now, and how closer to your goal.

  4. You Deserve It: Kudos to you and your efforts! You should feel proud of yourself for your passion and strong commitment. You should be happy about being so strong even in the tough events. However, take the time to reward yourself after all the hard work you have done for achieving a particular goal in your life.  You don’t need to be appreciated by others every time; you are special for yourself. You know the...

Love Growth and Freedom   How do we trust and be grateful for the process?      What is trusting the process?   The slogan Trust the process has been widely used by people all over the world. What does it really mean? It means that we have to have faith in all the hard work that we’re putting in to get to our dreams. Things may look bad now but have faith that we’re working towards something bigger and better.    It may look like it’s easy to do but it’s harder than you think. We build up so much anticipation and emotions wanting to reach the top goals we have in our lives but when we’re there we don’t really get to stop and smell the flowers but we aim for something even higher. Though it’s not a bad thing but do we really get to enjoy every minute of the journey to our goals? Do we allow ourselves to bask in all the hardships we overcome just getting to the goals we have set prior to the ones we are setting now?    In this episode we are here to learn to savor the magic of the journey getting to our goals and being thankful for the lessons each of the hardships we got through.      Ways in which we could trust the process!     1.    Be resilient   Understand that life gets in the way for each and every one of us. To rise above the situations we are facing is our utmost responsibility. Understand that we don’t have total control of what could happen in our lives. Know that change is the only thing constant. Resilient people surrender to uncertainty. They understand that we have very little control over what happens in life, and by adopting this mindset, they have trust in the process.   2.    Embrace the unknown   Accept that there are things that would be left in the cold and unknown. There are no guarantees in life.  The fact of the matter is that we don’t know what life will throw us, but if we embrace the unknown and get comfortable being uncomfortable, we will be better prepared for anything. Don’t predict the future. Rather, focus on what you can control, which is the present moment. When you do so, you will be creating your life, moment by moment, with zero attachments to what could be.   3.    Focus on your purpose   When things get tough and when you forget why you’re going through all this hardship. Remember your purpose, why you’re working toward this goal. This will remind you of the things you fight for and are passionate about and will help reinvigorate your faith in the journey and process.       4.    Practice Gratitude   Practicing gratitude has improved how we see things. It gets us back into perspective how life is too short. With this we become grateful for the things we have and learned. It also provides us the opportunity to have a positive way of coping with things that challenge us.            Why is it important to celebrate your wins?   1.   Goal of the episode ·      To understand that things happen and all we could do is have faith ·      Learn how to get over the self-doubt that comes our way as we go try and reach our goals ·      Practice to be grateful for the process and the little things that make us learn  ·      To enjoy the beauty of the journey getting to the top, that’s where the surprises lie.   2.   Questions to ponder   ·      What are your thoughts on trusting the process? Do you believe in it?  ·      What is the most challenging part in trusting the process?  ·      What were the things you learned as you trust the process?  ·      What are the toughest lessons you’re thankful for as you work toward your goal?  ·      Do you still find it hard to just have fate that it’ll turn out well for you?  ·      How do you deal with these challenges?

Love Growth and Freedom   Why do we have to thank the strangers we meet?    What are some lessons that you got from strangers?   I know that growing up we were warned not to walk to strangers. But as I grew old that fear and prejudice in talking to a stranger has slowly faded away. I found out that confiding in a complete stranger is very refreshing. Just because don’t really have expectation of who I should be and they see me for who I am at that very moment.    This episode will be about how strangers taught us things that we never expected to learn along the way in the journey of life. Why should we be grateful for these strangers? Are most of these people still strangers? Or are they some of your friends now?     Giving the time and chances to get to know a stranger you’d realize that they could actually be someone you want in your life. Working in the industry of social media I’ve realized that some strangers are the ones that support you in the passions you chase in your life and because you guys share the same passions, there is much love and support if you let it be.    Let’s talk about how these relationships started and how it made you feel to have the support of strangers because of shared passions and etc.     There are benefits in reaching out to strangers and being open enough to accept in strangers as they try to connect too. These are of course based also on your intuition if you think these people would just try to hurt you or not so be weary still.          Benefits of talking to strangers:

1.     Develops confidence   Allows you to go out of your comfort zone and gives you a boost of confidence if you were able to create a connection. You’ll see it’s not so bad.

2.     Improve Co-Working skills   As you work on the courage and confidence to approach a stranger. This will give you an edge whenever you start a job, or school in a new place. You’d have the courage to approach these new people you’d be spending time with.

3.     Improving your listening skills   Talking with strangers teaches you great listening skills, which is an important skill to have in the working world, and life in general. This is because when you talk to strangers, it isn’t about you telling them all about yourself. Instead, it’s about asking questions, learning from them, and listening to what they have to say. We now learn to listen to learn not just to respond.

4.     Making friends and expanding your network   Who knows where it will lead when you approach a stranger with a burst of curiosity. Who knows you might even share the same passions and likes in life that you become involved in each other’s life instead of a brief moment in time. Could be in business or in friendship as well, the possibilities are endless.

6.     Change in perspective and learn more   Introducing yourself to strangers allows you to substantially broaden your worldview. There is always somebody that knows more about an issue or subject than you. Learning about their views can potentially help to open up your own mind and even challenge your own belief systems.

7.     Improves your mood and somebody else’s   Talking to someone or asking them how their day was could improve their mood and yours. The world could seem so much better than it is.        Why should we be grateful to strangers?   1.   Goal of the episode ·      To reflect on the past where we had strangers give us life lessons and saw how much it has taught us ·      How trying...

Love Growth and Freedom: Season 4    How do you thank your friends?   To all the friends that we have!   We all go through our lives moving from one stage to other and more often than not we spend these times growing up with individuals we end up calling friends. Some even become our best friends and as we grow up we get pulled apart in different directions and even though that happens we can’t discount the fact that these people have been part of our lives.    We get to have at least a hundred or more friends and that selected few who is so dear and close to our heart even distance and absence could not take that away from us. I am a faraway supporter of their life and I wish them only happiness and love!   In life there are moments that define who’ll be with us forever. From moments of weaknesses and loneliness through triumph and success. I have had friends hold my hand in my darkest moments and I am forever grateful for them. What are the things that 2020 has taught you?     This year was the definition of chaos!   We were reminded that we have little to no control of the things that happened around the world. Even if we are just a fraction of this world and universe our actions and the things we put out into the world affect each and every one of us in tiny ripples. You’re small mistake turns to a habit then could turn into vices and so many more.    I know this year has put us in such an uncomfortable spot that forced us to reflect on our lives. Having so many things taken away from us to keep us safe and the likes. I myself has taken the time to grow within by understanding the truths of my life that I don’t quite have a grasp yet. One things for sure 2020 has taught me a myriad of lessons, of acceptance, patience, perseverance and, gratitude.   Today I have with me someone who has been a beacon of love and light for so many people in the world including me. She is here with me today to talk about the lessons we learned in 2020.       The things we learn along the way both internal and external things are essential to our growth and our understanding and perception of ourselves and our life. Reflecting on it gives us the clarity to move forward in life.        What are the lessons you’ve learned this 2020?   1.   Goal of the episode ·      To reflect on the past year and how it changed us as people ·      To stimulate and encourage to take action and aim to be the best versions of themselves ·      To shed a light on the issues and things we all should be aware of with ourselves and the world around us.     2.   Questions   ·      How have you coped this 2020?  ·      What were the challenges you faced as you went through this year?  ·      What were the things you were forced to deal with through the year?  ·      What were the things you’ve learned about yourself this 2020? ·      Were there things you worked on with yourself?  ·      What were the things that pushed you to seek personal growth?  ·      In this chaotic year what are the things you are striving to change?  ·      How are you going about this?  ·      What’s your 2021 vision? How can you show appreciation to your family?     Every family is different?   The family is the basic unit of society. Family is your first social ecological system, the one the rears you and prepares you for the world. Most conversation and how you come to terms with yourself starts at the dinner table according to Michelle Obama.   The effects of being in a family that supports a child and provides a healthy environment to grow in at is transcendent until adulthood and for the rest of our lives.    We all know that family is important and each of our family and beliefs and how we all are at our dinner table is different. Understanding those differences and turning these things we know of about our family on how we could view ourselves could help us become better people.    In this episode I have my sister as my guest for us to talk about the things we are grateful for about our family.      There are lessons that I learned from my family not necessarily what they told me to be, some are also what they showed me I shouldn’t be.

1.   Goal of the episode ·      To grow a deeper understanding of your familial roots and how it affects you as a person  ·      Be grateful for the lessons you’ve learned within the family ·      Be aware of the things that make each member different ·      To know the things you are thankful of about your family and the things that you find happiness in even if it is not a perfect family     2.   Questions   ·      Can you describe our family?  ·      What are the things you find stressful about our family?  ·      Who do you learn things from? ·      How do you perceive our family?  ·      What do you think our family needs to improve on?  ·      What are instances and the small things your thankful for about our family?  ·      What are the lessons that stuck with you from our family?  ·      What have you learned about yourself as you grew up understanding more of our family dynamics?

How gratitude changes people       1.   Goal of the episode ·      To understand how gratefulness can change us ·      Know the benefits and lasting effects of practicing gratitude and what we could expect   Have does practicing gratefulness change our life?   Gratefulness or Gratitude isn’t something we buy on the internet or just quickly adapt when we decide to practice it. It’s not an overnight process just like everything in this world, it takes time and effort. Now the question is how has it changed me? How could it change you? There are a lot of things in my life that happened to me that made me question why the universe chose me to undergo through such turbulent times.    Let’s put it this way.    My sexuality, but now I’m grateful for this because I get to pave the way for people like me to have a good representation somewhere out there.    Being outed by someone we barely know, if it hadn’t happen I wouldn’t have been free to express who I truly am in front of all the people I care about. My dad wouldn’t be forced to undergo such change of accepting the truth of my sexuality   Outgrowing my ex, if we didn’t end, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today because I’d be complacent with the life I had. I wouldn’t strive to find the growth that I have experienced if I had stayed with my ex.    These were situations I wasn’t so thankful for then, I hated each and every scenario because it has caused a ripple of change in my life that caused me so much stress.            How did practicing gratitude really change me?          1.    Helps in letting go and avoid toxic emotions   Going through life we’re bound to feel bad about certain things that happen to us. With practicing gratitude, we are taught to gravitate toward the things that we find good. This doesn’t mean totally avoiding negative emotions but mostly not allowing it to devour everything in your life. You may not have what you want now or you think you want but maybe it’s just you’re not ready for it. Practicing gratitude gives us a shift in perspective from ruminating on the worst parts to the parts that could actually bring good.    2.    Strengthens our connections with the people around us   It allows us to acknowledge and recognize the presence of the people around us. It teaches us to appreciate how these people around you have brought such joy and value in your life no matter how big or small of an impact they had. It reminds us not to take for granted the people and things that we usually have and encounter.    3.    Makes us happier   Sometimes a change in perspective is what we need and practicing gratitude shifts our perspectives from looking at the glass empty as half full. Looking further into the things you get to take away from rather than letting it imprison you and blame the world for why these things have happened.      4.    Makes us more generous   Practicing gratitude also gives us this fuel to also keep giving to people. It comes in a full circle whenever you show appreciation to someone or something, we tend to do it again just because it feels good to do so. The more you give the more you’ll have.              Questions for you my listeners   ·      What are the things you’re grateful for now?  ·      How has your journey in practicing gratitude help you cope with the challenges in your life?  ·      Give more situations where you learned a lot from and is grateful for even if it was something that brought you pain? Or sorrow?  ·      How has it changed your perspectives on a lot of things?

So what now? You've started to learn to be grateful for the things you have? What are your best practices? and what are the biggest challenge for you in learning to be more grateful with life itself and it's glorious process?    What were the things that gave you a hard time in being grateful?  -Not being mindful enough of the things that go on in my life.  -When the days felt like I was just in an endless cycle and that life felt like there was no point in doing the same thing every day and feeling demotivated to do something knew.    Talk about how the universe sends you a little message of encouragement every time you're on the brink of giving up on the things you love  and then you are reminded to be grateful.    How do you practice gratefulness?    -I write down the roses and thorns How has it helped?      Do you read your journals often?  -Review my journals every month to see progress in processing the situations and mental capacity. To see how things have changed and my metacognition of the scenarios in my life. What were somethings you realized changes every month?    I manifest with gratefulness and seeing the things that happen currently that is somehow aligned to the future I want, I celebrate by being grateful.    How can you practice gratitude   1. Notice good things, look for them, appreciate them. 2. Savor, absorb, and really pay attention to those good things. 3. Express your gratitude to yourself, write it down or thank someone.

Savor the Feeling of Gratitude

There are moments when you naturally, right then and there, feel filled with gratitude. These are moments when you say to yourself, "Oh, wow, this is amazing!" or "How great is this!"

Pause. Notice and absorb that feeling of true, genuine gratitude. Let it sink in. Soak it up. Savor your blessings in the moment they happen.   1. Thank you update Find things to be grateful for each day, five real things that you are thankful for or truths you are at peace with.    2. Listing it down Find the time to look in deeper for the things that you're really thankful for Find out what the universe granted and provided and bask in thankfulness and peace, appreciate the entirety of the things you are happy with.    3. Practice expressing gratitude  Share that spirit to other people around Give them a little reminder that you appreciate them and what they have done, don't be stingy.  You can also express through asking someone to share with you the things they're thankful for and share yours. Make it loud and express it if it makes you feel that way.

Show your appreciation to someone who did something nice. Say: "It was really kind of you to…," "It really helped me out when you…," "You did me a big favor when…," "Thank you for listening when…," "I really appreciated it when you taught me…," or "Thank you for being there when…." You also can write your gratitude in a letter.

Express gratitude by doing a kindness. Gratitude might inspire you to return a favor, or act with kindness or thoughtfulness. Or you might see a situation when you can "pay it forward." Hold the door open for the person behind you, even if it means waiting a little longer than you normally would. Do someone else's chores without letting the person find out it was you. Notice how you feel afterward!

Tell the people in your life how you feel, what they mean to you. You don't have to be mushy or over-the-top. We all have our own style. But if you say what you feel in the right tone at the right moment, even a simple, "Mom, good dinner. Thanks!" means a lot.

It is okay to be grateful out loud it encourages people to practice it too.     4. Alter your routine if you feel like you don't get the chance to be with yourself in a day.

Opening up to someone has always been challenging. The idea of being vulnerable about our emotions and thoughts to someone could be daunting, because of all the preconceived notions and judgements that could come off of it. What I learned is that it is extremely liberating and powerful to be able to think out loud and be open to someone you can trust!

In this episode Carl and I would dive deep into my thoughts and insecurities. The story here was it was just supposed to be us catching up but we decided to record the conversation that in turn turned out to be such an episode. Along the way you would hear me contemplate on the things that I have been thinking of and all the other set notions of life that I had.

So if you had the chance to open up to someone, please do! It really lessens the emotional load that you're carrying during tough times! Enjoy listening lovies!

How do we move forward?

Life is a rollercoaster ride  Riding it the first time around will get you shocked every time you hit the highs and lows

The truth about life

We're all going to have to prepare for the worst outcome while hoping and striving for the best outcome

We were never promised a storm free life but we have every chance and ability to survive the fight

Life will teach you

Lessons will come from experiences and the people you come across.

These will leave a mark in your life and will teach you the lessons not institutions can.

Life isn't lived in a linear pattern

There are no levels to be accomplished or bosses to fight

There are challenges to overcome but not necessarily bringing us up a notch but provides lessons and realizations

Growth is in multiple directions not just one way up.

Take it a step a time

We are always rushed to be the next big thing but we don't really get to assess if this is what we truly want.

Take it a day at a time a task at a time. We are not robots to just keep going at things without thinking about it/

Manifesting what you want

Bring in the energies that you want to the universe and it will attract similar energies

Claim the things you ask for as if it's already yours. You can chant an acknowledgement and thank the universe for giving it to you and feel it with you heart.

Look forward and hope for these things to happen and believe it will

Work hard and align yourself to the goal and for the things you ask for from the universe.

On wondering if you’re on the right path?     Episode Intro:  ·     Do you ever feel so lost that you don’t even know where to go next?  ·     In this episode we’ll dive deep into our thoughts as we wonder if we’re on the right path  ·     Maybe being just sure of the now is just as important as knowing where you’re headed ·     Stay tuned to learn more      Am I on the right path?   1. It’s normal to feel like we don’t know where we’re going  ·     We don’t always have to know if we’re on the right path that was destined for us  ·     Each of us has our own thing going on and maybe we don’t see clearly the direction where our lives are headed, but maybe doing the things we love will lead us to that.    Maybe not knowing your next step is okay?    2. Discover yourself, figure out how you want to live your life   ·     It’s not the end of the world if you don’t know your next step yet ·     Maybe what you to do is figure yourself and be sure of who you are before you tread your path.    3. Because it’s part of it  ·     Life doesn’t have a blueprint of who we all should be and what we all should do.  ·     Who knows maybe one day you’d wake up and say your calling is to be a doctor, or a teacher or a soldier?  ·     You’re not going to be clueless forever    The things we have to ponder upon is that..     4. Understanding where we are right now is just as important as knowing where you’re going  ·     How can you know where you’re going if you yourself don’t know who you are?  ·     Don’t stop yourself from embracing your own person and grow into the person you are meant to be. ·     My dad and I believe in this quote, “in doesn’t matter where you are right now but where you’re going” ·     There is truth to that but I think it’s important to also know who you are and the facts of right now to navigate yourselves toward a future you desire.  ·     Understanding the situation, you’re in and the person you are right now can help you make sound decisions for your life.  ·     So maybe we’re not on the right path, yet because we’re still figuring it out and it’s okay. As long as we try.     Manifest your next steps and keep a lookout on opportunities that arise       5. Reach for what you want, don’t hesitate ·     Once you have understood what steps you want to take and what direction you intend to follow. Claim it.  ·     This is your life for the taking, MANIFEST your dreams. It’s already yours.  ·     For me I was never someone who was sure and had a clear goal and destiny of who I wanted to be. But if you ask me I believe I am where I am today because this is where I’m meant to be and I know I’m meant for great things and I’m going to keep moving forward in this profession I have chosen.      6. Don’t’ miss out    ·     Opportunities will arise, these could be in the way you expected it and sometimes it isn’t but keep your eyes peeled to the lessons it wishes to teach or reveal.  ·     Some opportunities will offer you growth, some will give your clarity and maybe one day your big break. Just keep going where your heart has led you to and believe.        On being the right path     ·     I think we all have a solid view of where we want to be in life. We all want to be successful, whatever means success to us.  ·     It’s important to “keep moving forward” as said by Walt Disney. We all hear quotes like this, another is “trust the process.” ·     We all get so wound up on getting to the top that we forget that some of the things that we go through right now could point us to the right direction if we just let it. If we could just listen. ·     No one will hold it against you if you aren’t on the right path right now, what matters is you’re working on it and who knows one little nudge, one small act of kindness can open endless possibilities for you.

What is Cancel Culture?   1. It is removing or withdrawing of support for public figures in response to problematic behaviors ·     Now cancelling has been so rampant and people have been unforgiving toward public figures and people in general.  ·     In this day and age, it’s like everyone is expected to be perfect, free from making mistakes and learning from them.  ·     Cancelling can be just simply cutting people off your life because they’re toxic. I am all for that but note that sometimes people are learning to unlearn some traits that we don’t recognize as okay anymore

2. This was born out of the trend of calling someone out     ·     While it is important to understand that calling someone out on their mistakes or shortcomings has its benefits  ·     But if done in a manner of trying to condemn someone and not allow room for growth may cause more harm than good   Is it okay to just cancel someone?      3. Cancelling a person maybe be deemed okay if  ·     They are extremely toxic and are not accountable for their actions and decisions. To those who refuse to grow. ·     If they are people who drains away your inner peace and deliberately tries to get you in trouble ·     If they grew up and changed the things that they were cancelled for. I think it’s okay to give them the benefit of the doubt and the chance to prove themselves.       4. I think cancelling someone temporarily is better ·     I believe in growth so I keep an open mind to those people who I have cancelled in the past  ·     I have cancelled a few people in my life because they have hurt me and toxic. Namely, the person who spilled the tea on my sexuality to my dad.  ·     But whenever I see some of those people change and accept their faults and mistakes its easier for me to just realize that they are growing and learning to.          Don’t be quick to cancel someone.        5. In the age of social media cancelling someone is as easy as blocking them and spreading the word to cancel that person ·     What most people have to keep in mind is that some people are not aware of their mistakes and their perspectives. Let’s try to hear their sides and see.  ·     For me if a certain star or public figure or friend had a rumor or a thing that happened and people start calling out to cancel that person. I do my research and form my own evaluation if I showed completely cancel them.  ·     We all have things going on for us and maybe these people make honest mistakes and we cancel them for that. Remember we’re all learning, some are even unlearning biases that has been ingrained in our society, and sometimes it’s not their fault they were wired like that.  ·     Sometimes ignorance is not the person’s fault but continually living in ignorance is. Some are trying to change and if they choose to stay that way well that’s on them. ·     All I am saying is try to give them a fair chance before you cancel them. Sometimes ignorance is not the person’s fault but continually living in ignorance is.            A thought on cancel culture     ·     It has its benefits because you get to ask people to be accountable for their actions but sometimes it also gets out of hand. That we often times forget that we are all humans who are figuring their place in this world.     ·     I have my own version of cancel culture, maybe you should try this too! Where I have a list of things, they do that I find unacceptable and if they continue on doing that, I would inform them about it. Then if they continue and not change, I keep my distance and I cut them off temporarily, but when the time comes, I come across them again and they changed, I keep an open mind and see if they really have. Who knows rebuilding the bridge could be possible?    ·     There are also situations where the past mistakes of people are used against them in the present even if they grew and change. It’s like learning from their mistakes isn’t...

Sometimes its okay to be selfish

Am I selfish to choose myself?   1. Sometimes we forget ourselves because we’re afraid of being selfish  ·     Selfish is defined (of a person, action, or motive) lacking consideration for others; concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure. ·     And we always think that when we choose what’s best for us and our inner peace it equates to selfishness.  ·     How can you care for people if you can’t even take care of yourself

When can you be selfish?    2. The acceptable kind of selfishness   ·     Is when you put yourself first because you have already given too much to other people  ·     There is an acceptable level of selfishness especially when you’re not feeling all too well and you need time to have your reaction and sit with your feelings. Sometimes it’s okay to not take into consideration what other people are feeling if you haven’t had time to process your own.   Why is there a need to be selfish once in a while?    3. Because we all need a break ·     Sometimes when we try to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders, we breakdown ·     We feel alone because we always try to carry our own burdens while helping other people out   4. If we can’t process our feelings and thoughts ·     How can you expect yourself to help other people out the best way you can?  ·     Sometimes the best thing to do is to care for yourself first so that you could be capable of caring for other people. ·     The airplane and oxygen bag idea  ·     It may end up causing more harm than good      How do we know if it’s time to be selfish?        5. When you feel empty and tired ·     Often times when we feel empty and unsure of what is going on in our own mind because of the constant pace of our lives ·     Maybe it’s time for you to have some alone time and figure out the things that make you happy and motivated     6. When you go through a tough time    ·     Going through something big is hard enough for you to process and if you need to keep it together, it becomes more problematic.  ·     Sometimes just finding time for yourself and retreating from the world helps you find your footing in this world.        7. When people take and take  ·     We all have what we called a love tank or a tank of emotions  ·     When we keep on giving our time, support and love to other people you deplete your own sources and sometimes when none is reciprocated.  ·     It shouldn’t be taken against you because we all need to recharge to be able to provide.      Thoughts on selfishness     ·     We should all have the time to assess how we feel and recharge the way we see fit.  ·     Taking care of our wellbeing isn’t selfish, because we need to be okay and fine to be of help to others as well.  ·     We could always try to communicate if we need time for ourselves and when we choose to be selfish so that people could understand that it isn’t about them.  ·     It’s okay to choose yourself when you need to, you should never feel guilty for choosing you today.

·     Don’t fear love, embrace it, and allow it to flow.        👍Thanks for watching! On chasing the idea of love        What is love?   1. Dictionary Definition is ·     a quality or feeling of strong or constant affection for and dedication to another  ·     attraction based on sexual desire: the strong affection and tenderness felt by lovers  ·     a beloved person     2. Love is experienced and defined differently for everybody   ·     We all know that love is relative for everybody and each definition will have varying explanations and experiences as to how a person defines love.  ·     When you ask people about the love you hear that it’s supposed to be unconditional, selfless, and beautiful           Is it really just love we’re chasing? Or just the idea of a perfect love that exists?      3. Maybe love isn’t just what we’re taught it is to be ·     Know that there are different kinds of love that you can have and experience in this world.  ·     These are at least 8 kinds of them and here is each one of them and their definitions.    ·     Agape- Unconditional love, this is an altruistic, selfless, unconditional love. Not all can do this but this is mostly associated with God’s love for his creation.   ·     Eros-Romantic love, it is usually associated with romantic, passionate, and physical love. It is an expression of sexual passion and desire.

·     Philia — Affectionate Love, it is the kind of love that you feel for your friends. According to Plato, this is Platonic love, a love without sexual acts   ·     Philautia - self-love. In our modern-day society, most people associate self-love with being narcissistic, selfish, or stuck on themselves. We cannot give to others what we don’t have. And if we don’t love ourselves, how can we truly love others? It is more like self-compassion.     ·     Storge can be defined as “familiar love.” This type of love looks and feels a lot like philia – affectionate love felt between friends. However, this love is more like a parent-child love.   ·     Pragma as “enduring love.” In other words, it’s almost the opposite of eros (sexual love). Eros tends to burn out quickly because of its passion and intensity. However, pragma is a love that has matured and developed over a long period of time.     ·     Ludus is known as “playful love.” However, a better way to describe it is the feeling of infatuation in the early days of romance.   ·     Mania is not necessarily a good type of love, because it is obsessive. It’s the type of love that can lead someone into madness, jealousy, or even anger.                Love is more than just finding a partner for life, but loving the life you have and live.     ·     We get so caught up in chasing the idea of a perfect partner and love that we forget to accept love in the different places of this realm and also in our experiences and the people around us.      ·     We all crave for that deeper connection and to be seen and heard as we are by one person. Maybe that’s for you and maybe that’s not for others. We should all respect the way each and every one of us define and understand love to be.   ·     In loving someone you are in danger of getting hurt, it’s imminent, and with knowing that and still choosing to love shows immeasurable strength.    ·     Don’t fear love, embrace it, and allow it to flow.        👍Thanks for watching! Maybe you’re not meant to fit in       Will anyone ever truly understand us?   1. No, I guess not. ·     We are all complex beings with different thought processes. Maybe at some point, no one will ever truly understands how we all could react and think about things.    2. We have to process the internal battles inside of us   ·     Not to worry, because even if no one will ever truly understand us, there would be people who would truly see and hear us. They would make you feel seen and heard and they’ll help you go through the processes in your head together.     Will we ever fit in?      1. No but you can belong ·     Fitting in isn’t bad or anything but maybe we’re not meant to be at all boxed and categorized in one box. ·     You can be as crazy, creative, and assertive as you can and belong with people who truly accept you for who you are. (AS LONG AS YOU DON’T INTENTIONALLY HARM ANYONE)       2. Stand out and bring everyone along with you   ·     We all have different characteristics that make us who we are. A trademark that’s the word for that.  ·     Bringing everyone with you means you let the people around you shine the way they do. Let them embrace themselves and what makes them who they are without judgment.  ·     It may be hard to not have first impressions of people but it never lasts, so keep an open mind and let people around you stand out in their own respective ways like you!       We don’t have to fit in the box     ·     We’ve all been so used to behave and follow the world like it’s the only thing we’re meant to be, it’s not we’re all meant for greatness.      ·     You may sometimes feel like a lost child, just know that sometimes you really have to find out about things on your own first. One day though you’ll find people who’d share this journey with you and be present in some of the internal struggles you’ll face.       REMEMBER!

·     As Dr. Cristina Yang said to Meredith, “do not let what he wants eclipse what you need. He is very dreamy but he is not the sun you are”  ·     Let’s not let the perceptions and wants of this world devour us and what we stand for. We are the sun, each and every one of us carries a light of hope. Let it shine.

  1. Practice self-affirmation and positive self-talk ·     Helps protect your sense of self ·     Stimulates self-growth and self-compassion

  2. Travel as a means of self-discovery ·     Expands your mind and gets you out of your comfort zone ·     Discovers deeper things about self

  3. Do physical exercises that are right for you ·     Develops habit of keeping healthy  ·     Becomes an outlet for emotions  ·     Introduces you to new communities of people who have the same interests

We are often our own harshest critics, having our minds wired to only view success as the only place we could be and aim for. This episode goes in-depth and trying to understand how our self-worth should be defined internally and for who we are and not what we're expected to be by society. In this day and age, we pressure ourselves and people around us to be a certain way based on what is expected, and most of the time we become like Icarus whose wings are burned from trying to fly too high and reach unrealistic expectations. Then we become impatient with ourselves and our progress and we now see how our self-worth goes down with it too. We will try to learn how to practice self-compassion in order for us to alleviate some of the pressure to be perfect in a world where a spirit of competition is prevalent. Let us allow room and space to grow and acknowledge some limitations we have as humans and our situations, and by also seeing that comparing one's apple to another's orange would only lead us to look at our glasses as half empty than half full. Let's work on worrying less about external things that we think define who we are. It's not the extravagant stuff we have, it's not the number of friends that we have in our circle, and its most certainly not just based on what we achieve in our lifetime but it's how we lived it. Although these do add some dazzle in your life but its how we touch and build relationships along the way. Let's live a life of no regret by choosing to constantly grow, learn from mistakes, and take risks. Try to see and understand the world from various perspectives. 👍Thanks for watching! This episode is dedicated to the times I asked the question "why can't I be like them?". Oftentimes falling in the pit of comparison and self-pity, thinking that my worth is anchored on external things. Listen as we take you into understanding that sometimes it's inevitable to compare ourselves to others but we have ways to redirect it and foster a healthy time of competition with yourself rather than people around you. It highlights that each and every one of us has the ability to shine in our own ways and what we all have is completely complex and different from one another. One man's trash is another man's treasure. We only see the tip of the iceberg of what people intentionally show in social media so it's important that we all take the time to step back understand that what people went through to get to where they are now must be difficult for them too. We'll get there, we'll shine someday there's no need for us to beat ourselves down based on somebody else's ruler.

On making sense of things is an episode discussing the long road map of how I frame my thoughts and perspectives. This episode highlights all the other questions and topics that we'd be discussing throughout this season. This season is exciting because I will try to bring in people of different backgrounds to answer these questions that we usually ask ourselves when self-doubt sneaks in and also when we're in those situations of having to choose between ourselves or other people.  This episode will tackle all the other reasons why these questions pop up and how we're going to try and answer them. I don't if these questions are what you all ask to yourself but, these are mine. These questions are laid out because this is what I usually cycle through when I think about the general idea of how life is for me and how I perceive the world around me. This is how I try to make sense of things in the world, trying to take myself out of the picture and seeing the grander perspective of this crazy world.  You can stream my podcast on: Breaker: https://www.breaker.audio/love-growth-and-freedom Google Podcasts: https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy8xMzM0N2JlYy9wb2RjYXN0L3Jzcw== Spotify:https://open.spotify.com/show/2QJpSDorc71DwBnjpsOmw0 Apple Podcasts:https://podcasts.apple.com/ph/podcast/love-growth-and-freedom/id1502108931 Guerilla Podcast Syndicate:https://guerrillapodcast.com.ph/show/lovegrowth-and-freedom/ Follow me on my other social media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LoveGrowthFreedom/ Instagram: www.Instagram.com/Aduartelim Twitter: www.twitter.com/lovegrowfree - GUERRILLA PODCAST- You can also listen to our GUERRILLA PODCAST from the following platform:  Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/Apple1_podcast Spotify: https://bit.ly/spotify1_podcast Google: https://bit.ly/googlepod_podcast Sticher: https://bit.ly/stitcher1_podcast Breaker: https://bit.ly/breaker_podcast Pocketcast : http://bit.ly/pocketcast_podcast Overcast: https://bit.ly/overcast_podcast Radio public: https://bit.ly/radiopublic_podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/guerrillapodcastsyndicate YouTube: http://bit.ly/guerillapodcast Website: https://www.guerrillapodcast.com.ph Supporting this  podcast: https://www.patreon.com/kangaroofern 👍Thanks for watching! There is rebirth, that’s one thing I’d like to let you know. Going through such tough circumstances emotionally, mentally, and physically takes its toll and may seem like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. There is, YOU will rise up to the challenge. I have learned that losing parts of you, you thought you needed wasn’t so bad. Like a baby tooth, thinking that it would be the worst-case scenario to lose them even though we know that a stronger tooth will replace it a more sustainable one. I am a believer in the natural state of entropy and I also believe in the idea of will power. Things have to end and sometimes there isn’t really anything for us to do. I also believe in giving it your all to save the things you want to save, to keep the people you want to keep. Sometimes no matter how hard we hold on to it, it really has to go and transform into that thing that it should with or without you. Life is like that, so as I have learned from these past experiences, I know that we would only come out tougher and wiser than before. These things need to happen in order for you to transcend from the current life and mindset you have. This is the new you, a better you, a version of you that focuses on growth and surrounds itself with a healthy love the radiates all around. Maybe we need to get broken to understand how we could love ourselves better and the way we deserve it.      Our experiences from each other differ in a varying degree and we don’t really know what anyone would feel and process a certain situation. All we could say is that it gets better, it always does because as we move forward we grow. We are no longer the people that were hurt, but we are the ones that choose to grow.    1.   Compare yourself to yourself  ·      Check on how far you’ve come, you would have recurring thoughts of what if I stayed longer, what if I fought harder and you’d feel a little upset because well you think that it would have made a lot of difference. Let me stop you there, you have grown, you are most probably not the person you used to be. Your ex or someone who you hurt or has hurt you would actually see that for themselves if they saw you. You would also probably not like them when you meet them again, not the way you used to at least.  ·      Seeing how far you’ve come also just helps you see how much you’ve survived and changed. You will feel amazing to see you have moved forward.    2.   Tend to your social circles    ·      Having enough time to spend with your OG’s and all your other social circle must have influenced your growth. Being able to tend to these social circles and understanding the dynamic will make it easier for you to integrate someone new in your life. May it be someone you decide to date or actually be in a relationship. ·      Your social circle could be your litmus test for the people you bring into your life. As the song goes” if you want to be my lover you got to get with my friends!”   3.   Take it easy ·      Sometimes when we think we’re progressing and moving forward we overlook the little struggles of everyday. We start seeing a plateau in our progress for personal growth, but not that these plateaus provide you the time to enjoy the scenery. To enjoy how far you’ve come so take it easy.    Ending points   ·      The new and better you doesn’t mean an overhaul of your entire possibility but is a synthesis of all the things you’ve learned and applied in your life.  https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

The process of healing from past traumas and hurt could be such a terrifying thing to go through. For some, it may even seem impossible. We have to note that in many levels and aspects our lives are different from each other and the perception and experiences we have are totally different so healing for each and every one of us is different in that same level and magnitude. In this episode, my colleague Bella and I discussed a very raw and real experience she went through and talked about her own process of healing. We wanted to be able to share this story for people who have gone through this and to let them know that they are not alone and there are people who will be with you no matter what. This episode also wishes to show how we all cope differently with pain and grief and our processes of healing and we also shared some helpful tips for you to try out if you're healing now.

Forgiveness is something that we all struggle to do, not because we don't want to forgive, but because it's sometimes so difficult to process the pain and hurt from experiences like this. Join my good friends and I as we discuss how we could learn how to forgive and how it is something that could set us free. It is different for everybody so to hear different perspectives of people about this topic seems like a good way to open your eyes to some realities of what forgiveness could be.  https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)

The world needs to have more compassion for each and every individual fostering a more cooperative state rather than a competitive one. For us to constantly grow and see new perspectives, we have to learn more about the things around us and how we could help make it better for everybody else. To cap the series off I have invited brilliant minded and kindhearted individuals from the Illuminates of the Spectra from Siliman University to enlighten us about Gender Equality, and how Feminism stands in solidarity with the LGBTQIA community in making our voices heard.

P.S. Trigger warnings there are sensitive topics discussed like sexual harassment.

The Illuminates of the Spectra is a youth and student-led LGBTQ organization in Dumaguete city.

To be loved and accepted is a wonderful thing, but the journey we go through as part of the LGBTQIA community for this kind of acceptance is a harsh road. Struggles are a normal part of our lives and living it as a member of the LGBTQIA community doesn’t make things easier but there’s nothing I would regret. In all my life I never felt so free, so loved and accepted. This year I want to make PRIDE month special in a way where I could also guide people who are struggling to find themselves and accept themselves for who they truly are. In the spirit of Pride month, I have made a series of episodes with some people who have experienced hardships and triumphs as a member of the community. In this episode, I would tell my own story and understanding of what life was for me as a proud gay person. The episodes to come will also shed a light on the journey of other people in accepting and loving themselves the way they are. We’re here, We’re Queer! Happy Pride Folks! https://www.buymeacoffee.com/guerrillasweare (★ Support this podcast ★)
