In this final episode of Commands Of Jesus, Paster Jim illustrates the power of the final words of Jesus to His guys and us.
Then he said to him "Follow me!" Jesus wants us to learn through Peter how important to following Jesus is. It's most important.
Jesus becomes very direct with us, in that if we stay connected to Him, we will bear much fruit.
Jesus wants us to care deeply for others, and to show are love for Jesus and to others by serving others.
Jesus explains how important that we be ready, that we hold true to the wisdom that we have learned in listening to Him. Because we do not know the day or hour that He will return.
Can we really drink the cup that Jesus drank for us? Can we really be servants, just as Jesus came to serve? Tough questions.
Jesus wants us to know what the right priorities are for our life here. Loving God and Loving our neighbors.
Although someone tried to draw Jesus into a money fight, He used that oppertunitiy to warn us about greed.
How do you love everyone around you? Do you love them as Jesus does? Jesus wants us to love everyone the same with no judgement no matter what they may do or have done.
How do we follow Jesus, well, Jesus actually tells us how. Three BIG DEAL commands about coming to Jesus for rest and to yoke up to him.
Jesus begins talking about John the Baptist (JB), in that he was the first to start the Jesus conversation.
About the "Fine Print" of discipeship. We all need to be able to answer the question "Who controls your life?"
