The circle of a year according to The Jerusalem Post
‘The major Jewish festivals are symbiotically integrated with the natural agricultural cycle of the year’
- Winter - The process begins around the month of Kislev (November/December) with staggered sowing of the seeds over a period of four months.
- Spring - The first crops harvested are flax and barley, around the time of the month of Nisan (March), coinciding with the festival of Passover. It is not coincidental that the barley Omer offering (today commemorated by counting the Omer) took place on Passover.
- Spring - The month of Sivan (May) is the time of the wheat harvest and is reflected in the ritual service of the festival of Shavuot (Pentecost) by the Two Loaves offering, made from the newly harvested wheat.
- Summer - These months from Tamuz to Elul (June-August) are spent harvesting and gathering the summer crops and fruits.
- Fall - The cycle ends in the month of Tishrei (September). It is a time to take stock, a time for introspection and for making resolutions and planning the coming agricultural year. This is reflected in the festivals of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur where one balances accounts, not with their material possessions, but with their spiritual status. According to Jewish tradition, a person’s livelihood for the coming year is preordained on Rosh Hashanah and sealed on Yom Kippur.

The US financial markets are getting closer to a Bear market (20% drop) as the S&P 500 is now down to a record 9.4% low. Some major company equities have already slipped by as much as 23% to 29% and Bitcoin value is down 43.55% from its highest point last month.
On a brighter note, Meta the parent company to Facebook and the leading champion of the emerging industry called metaverse just became a very attractive stock price. Moreover, we have identified a digital savings account that yields a 'steady' savings rate of 8% with a minimum deposit of $2,500.

Today we are providing a nine-month economic forecast to advise on how to direct business, expenses, and investment for optimal return in the expected economic correction to come.
August 2020 was the last time Kayla and I provided an economic forecast on the IGNITE Birmingham podcast. At that time, we recommended investment into real estate, stock market, and Bitcoin not knowing we were entering into the sixth year of the seven-year Shmita which is the year for 4x harvest.
And this is what happened:
- from Aug '20 through Christmas Bitcoin climbed at its high by 400% moving from $12K to $65K
- the S&P 500 climbed by 42%
- well you know the story behind real estate it was unstoppable
- most every business faired well and very few organizations had significant economic troubles
Until now, Kayla and I have not felt led to provide an economic forecast on IGNITE since August 2020. Today we will discuss why the next 9 months January through October is the time to SAVE as much money as possible and pay off debts. Now is the time to lay investments and cash into safe harbor in anticipation of tribulation and to buy assets that will go on massive discount over the next several months.

Stage II: announcements of layoffs, bankruptcy, business closures, and foreclosures
Stage III: defaults on debts owed by governments around the world

Dear Birmingham Business Leader,
If the market is to 'suffer' a major 'correction' or 'recession' it will most likely happen between now and early October. January through September 2022 is the last 9 months of what is known as the Sabbath (rest) year. Shmita or the Sabbath year is the period of a seven-year period ordained by the Lord.
Consider these recent economic 'downturns' that have occurred in previous Shmita years as evidence to support this forecast:
1966 - Market drops 23%
1973 - Oil crash, market drops 48%
1980 - Great recession, market drop
1987 - US Stock Market Crash 33%
1994 - US Bond Market Crash
2001 - US Stock Market Crash 37% drop, 911
2008 - US Stock Market Crash 50% drop

A recent article, Vaccine-or-testing mandate for large employers one step closer to reality, released by the Birmingham Business Journal states it is possible that employers with more than 100 employees will be required to help enforce U.S health policy by requiring employees to show proof of vaccination or conduct weekly COVID-19 testing.
