Follow - Pt 9 - Late in his life, Peter wrote his thoughts about following Jesus. He said salvation was more than a one- time event that gets us into Heaven when we die. It is a living hope, a fulfilling love, a lifelong process, and the culmination of a great plan.

But not the end of what God would do in and through him.

The answer is to relearn an ancient, almost forgotten practice: Hospitality. In a time when loneliness is an epidemic, when few people know their neighbors, something as simple as a meal together can be the starting place for something beautiful to happen. We donât know the hurt that goes on in the homes in our neighborhood. But God does. He wants us to show them He sees, and can change things for the better. This month, weâll show our neighbors He is the God who sees them.
It Happened at the Temple - Pt 11 -The Jerusalem Temple was destroyed in 70 AD, just as Jesus foretold. It has never been rebuilt. Thatâs because the permanent Temple is already here, in the Body of Christ. We are now the place where redemption happens. Will we reject the idols of this world, overcome our own insecurities, and draw people to Him?
It Happened at the Temple - Pt 10 - The last mention of the Temple in Scripture gives us a glimpse into our future with Christ. Itâs so beautiful, it makes the darkest days here bearable.
The sky was as black as night, and Jesus was gone. It looked like all hope was lost, and evil had won forever. Then two words changed everything. In Scripture, those same two words turned things around for Noah, Jacob, Joseph, and David. They can become the defining two words of your life, too.
It Happened at the Temple - Pt 9 - After Jesus was gone, His followers continued to meet in the Temple weekly, and pray there daily. This story shows what enabled that first group of disciples to turn the world upside down. Fortunately, the same ingredients are available to us.
It Happened at the Temple - Pt8 - The God of All Comfort - When Paul was beaten by a mob and arrested in the Temple, it showed the difference between mere religion and the Good News. How Paul responded, and how God was with him, teach us to trust the Gospel when the world is against us.

It Happened at the Temple - Pt 6 - Signs of the End - When Jesus foretold the Templeâs destruction, His disciples were astonished. He also told them about the end of all things, and how to prepare. His words still stand for us to be ready for our final test.
It Happened at the Temple - Pt 5 - Jesus was confronted in the Temple during the Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah). Weâll look at the story of the Temple from the time of its rebuilding to the time of Jesus. And weâll look at His relationship to the Temple, including the time His parents found Him there at age 12. As His words in John 10 reveal, He had come to be the new and greater Temple (also see Mt 12:6). Do you come to Him?
It Happened at the Temple - Pt 4 - Consider Your Ways - When the Temple was destroyed, most thought it would never be rebuilt. They thought God had given up on His people. He brought them home and gave them the resources to rebuild His house. Yet years passed with no action. Haggaiâs challenge to the people, to consider their ways, resonates with us today. There will always be attractive alternatives to obeying God. Obey Him anyway.

We call them Transforming Relationships. The first one we'll look at is the life of Andrew, who was quietly powerful. Andrew grew up with his brother Peter and their partners James and John. Yet unlike them, He was never part of the inner circle. We have no record of sermons preached or miracles performed by him. Instead, we see him constantly bringing people to Jesus. Many believers are introverted. Others feel unqualified, intellectually or morally. The Problem with Legalism - Colossians 2:16-23 - Even if the Colossians managed to overcome the heresy being taught in their church, they still needed to watch out for legalism. We can be doctrinally correct, morally upright, and still oppose the way of Jesus. Legalism is sneaky, because it feels like good Christianity.
