True repentance coupled with placing our faith in God results in the forgiveness of our sins and the restoration of our relationship with God.
Jesus is the long-awaited messiah and King. The Old Testament foreshadowed the arrival of a Saviour. Jesus is the world's hope for salvation. He has come to live among us.
The prophet Malachi reaffirms God’s love for his people, before he begins to condemn their sins and failures. When we forget God’s love and faithfulness to us, we lose our motivation to obey him and may blame God’s perceived unfaithfulness or unfairness for our sin.
When we find ourselves in the midst of difficulty, we can rest in God’s enduring promises to never leave us or forsake us and to give us a hope and future with Him.
Hear from Brent Ristau (Ethnos Canada Missionary) about how he and his family are coming alongside Wade and Josephine Holmes to continue to see more disciples made for God's glory.
God positioned Esther in a place of great power and authority, and she was faced with a choice. She chose to see her position as an opportunity to accomplish the good work of God. We must also see whatever position we have as responsibility for the sake of God’s kingdom.
The people of God must be firmly rooted in the Word of God. If that foundation cracks or isn’t dug deeply enough, then disaster is soon to follow.
Jesus died to destroy the penalty of our sin. He gave us His innocence in exchange for our guilt. He rose three days later to prove His divinity and triumph over death.
The grave could not keep Him. Death has no hold on Him.
Jesus Christ is the death killer.
Jonah is the story about one of God’s prophets. Jonah’s job was to tell others about God’s message of salvation. But the prophet chose to run away from God’s plan. But God pursued Jonah to demonstrate His compassion for a broken world.
The events of this section in 1 Kings were intended to bring spiritual change to God’s people in the days of Elijah. Also, the record of these events in Scripture are intended to have the same effect on us—to change our hearts and move us to authentic repentance.
Ecclesiastes says that the fear of God is the goal of our existence. But in order to know and enjoy God properly, we first have to see the emptiness of life without him, becoming thoroughly disillusioned with everything the world has to offer. To this end, Ecclesiastes gives us a true assessment of what life is like apart from the grace of God.

We see from David both the man of God and the man of the world, and this portion of his life should make us pause. Even though David sinned greatly, God would not give up on Him. God was faithful, though it was painful, to bring David back to repentance. We can have the same assurance through Christ. May David’s life be a reminder to us to guard our hearts, and then repent quickly when we fall.
What a joy it is to look back on the past three years of how God has guided the Northern Collective to where it is today. We look ahead to how God will work through us to accomplish His will and glorify His name in 2021 and beyond.
Jesus’ death wasn’t the end. He promised that He would rise again after 3 days. As a few women followers went to the tomb carrying spices they had prepared (burial custom), they entered the tomb to be shocked by an angel who told them Jesus had indeed risen! Jesus appears to them, tells them to go tell the disciples, and off they ran afraid and joyful as they ran off to do so. Peter and JOhn too ran to the tomb to see if it was true, found only burial clothes, but were still confused. Jesus appeared to many, he was worshiped by them, and then ascended after giving them a blessing and telling them to spread the Good News.
Here we are at the climax to 4000 years of God’s unfolding plan of redemption for all humanity. “He (Jesus) was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.” (1 Peter 1:20). This lesson will drive home our only means of rescue for a right relationship with God -now and for eternity. The one way, one door, one means of rescue.
Jesus’ betrayer Judas, who’d already been exposed as the one who would betray Jesus, was coming with an armed mob to capture Jesus as though he were a violent criminal. to be tried before the Sanhedrin and then Pilate.
In Jesus' final days on earth, we will learn about the New Covenant, a contract that He will fulfill perfectly. He introduces what we now now of as the Lord's Supper. Finally, the scripture tells us of the agony Jesus experienced as he went to a place called Gethsemane where He confidently submitted to the will of God the Father.
In today's lesson, Jesus will challenge us again to live life in light of God's Kingdom and eternity. Sadly, many tend to waste their brief time on earth investing in things that won't last. As we focus on the Biblical account of a rich man and a poor man named Lazarus we will see Jesus showing The Way - which is by faith in Him alone.
Throughout the four gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - Jesus is given various names/images/descriptions to identify and describe who He is and what he is going to do. This lesson will further reveal who Jesus is.
In this lesson we will learn that God will only accept a sinner if he’s been born again through the Holy Spirit. At first glance, it might seem like Jesus is teaching something brand-new. But He isn’t. Let’s dig into this biblical account to understand Jesus' message.
In this lesson we’ll see how Jesus lives and models what God intends His Kingdom to look like. This isn’t a political or religious kingdom, as many of the Israelites were expecting. In many ways Jesus acts counter-culturally to the established religious systems and rules. He is going to turn the religious leaders worlds upside-down with his teaching and his actions. Or could we say, he is going to bring God’s kingdom right-side-up.
See how the scripture reveals that Jesus, the Deliverer, was not only a human, but clearly fully God.
Angel appears to two different couples, promising a messenger to one and a deliverer to the other! Come hear as many prophecies of old are fulfilled in this hopeful lesson.
In today’s lesson we are going to see how well a human king worked out for Israel as a nation. If you have been seeing Israel’s cycles of faithfulness towards God (or lack thereof), you can guess with accuracy that things didn’t go very well for very long. The cycles of rebellion continued, and there were consequences. Through His prophets, God encourages, challenges, and calls the people back to Himself. And through these cycles God reminds Israel of the Deliverer - the one who would offer true freedom from their rebellious, sinful hearts.
God has led the Israelites, His chosen and set apart people, out of bondage in Egypt to the promised land. The Israelites have traveled a long way and are now at the Canaan border - this is the promised land. The land God promised to Abraham. God had provided and sustained them in the wilderness with food and water, taught them many lessons (10C’s, trust and faith) and now He wanted them to experience even more of His promised blessings. And unfortunately, Israel is still sinful and rebellious - This lesson will dive in and see their cycles of rebellion and God's immense grace through it all!
This is a lesson which is a rich foreshadowing of many things to come! As we look at God dwelling with the Israelites we will see again His desire and pursuit of people for a special relationship with Him. He makes a way where there is no way previously. In this lesson we look at the building of the Tabernacle, the sacrificial system and the Levitical Priesthood. Each of these point forward something even much greater!
The story of Joseph is about God working his will through the everyday events of life. God is involved in all events and directs all things according to His own purposes. This guidance and care is known as providence.

From the beginning to the end of Genesis, the reality of sin is contrasted with the hope of God’s promise to renew all things to the way they were meant to be. God is renewing His world in the midst of the failures of humanity.
In this biblical account, God delivers the final of 10 plagues in Egypt. This is God's final act against Pharaoh and his hard heart. Other truths revealed in this lesson is; God requires obedience, God completely rescues, God leads and provides (lovingly, mercifully, graciously)
Let us not elevate characters in the Bible. The Bible is full of corrupt and broken men and women. We are longing for a hero that rules with justice, liberty, love, patience, conviction. When it comes to God, almost obedience is never enough. God requires full obedience. The only hero is Jesus Christ. Jesus kept the law perfectly. Followed God perfectly. He who knew no sin, became sin, that we may become the righteousness of God. His wrath was poured out on His son Jesus Christ on our behalf.
This lesson continues in the Bible beyond the book of Genesis, into the book of Exodus. We will see God powerful, and sovereign orchestrating old prophecy's and promises made long ago with Abraham continue to be fulfilled. The Israelites are enslaved, Moses is led to deliver them from Pharaoh and the first 9 of 10 plagues are studied. God tirelessly protects, provides a rescue, and pursues relationship with His people as shown in this historical account.
God is with his people as he pours out his grace through their weakness and brokenness in order to comfort them in adversity and affliction.
As we delve into the lives of Esau, Jacob and Joseph we will see a pattern that continues even today since The Fall of humanity. All these men and their parents were sinful from birth, and as some of them put their faith in the coming Deliverer they still struggled to honour God in all areas of life. We will touch on some of the struggles we encounter today that distract us from the life God would have for us and reflect on hardships that many of us face and how to think Biblically especially in those seasons of life.
Despite all the brokenness in Genesis 29 & 30: the polygamy, the lies, the baby wars, the desperation, and the deception God chooses to be the God of the broken. Grace that is earned is not grace at all. Grace goes to the undeserving. Grace comes at God’s discretion, not our directives. And grace is there for you, if you will come to Christ. And if you do come, you will discover that it is all of God from beginning to end.
This lesson covers the Biblical account of the Tower of Babel and how the thousands of languages of our world began. After the Flood, humanity was walking in complete disobedience to God's command which was to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth. Yet people's disobedience doesn't thwart God's sovereign plan as we will soon learn.

In this lesson we unpack the well known story of Noah's Ark. As we come to this part of history in the Bible it's evident it was a very dark part of human existence - every inclination of the thoughts of peoples heart was only evil all the time! However, God graciously confronts people with His truth, just like we are here today.
God created the universe and everything in it. He asks everyone everywhere to follow Him no matter the cost. We often encounter uncertainty difficult circumstances throughout our lives. But, God promises to provide in ways that glorify Himself.
In this lesson we will clearly see how God, despite how all people are now born separated from Him, that He still pursues a relationship with sinful people. All people have an opportunity to respond to God and walk with Him by humbly coming to Him through repentance and faith in the Deliverer. In this lesson, God's Word will tell how Cain, Enoch and Noah each responded to God's pursuit of relationship with them.
God’s purposes for His people are not conditional on their performance. The sins of our parents do not determine God’s presence and loving actions in our lives. God is sovereign and unrestrained by us. God’s ability to use even our own sins for his own purposes shows that he doesn’t love us simply for the great things we can do for him. Often, we think that God will love us more if we do great things for him. But the story of Abraham and Sarah (and the whole bible) shows us that God’s love is unconditionally based on His sovereign purposes.
In today’s lesson, we’ll read how the consequences of sin are passed on to Adam and Eve’s children. And we will see two different ways of approaching God - one acceptable and the other rejected. Amazingly, through it all, God is merciful and gracious and continues to pursue relationship.

Explore the story of the Wisemen who seek and encounter the child Jesus. Jesus fulfills several Old Testament prophesies at His birth. He is the long awaited King. He is the saviour of the world. He is God in the flesh. The Wisemen came to worship The King. We exist to worship The King.
In this lesson, we will see how this decision to disobey God affected Adam and Eve and their relationship with Him. Within this we will dive into God's warning "but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die." What does death mean? As well, we will explore what is believed about death that doesn't line up with the truth of God's Word.

Some of the first followers of God, like many people today, were faced with much uncertainty. God promised a man named Abram that his family and ancestors would bless the world. As we follow Abram's journey, we learn that having a thriving relationship with God means walking and living by faith in His good promises. This does not mean we will not face difficult circumstances, but we can have faith that God walks beside us.
