Four years ago I had Marina Berger, Angelina Grine, and Chloe Lee on the podcast as they were getting set to graduate middle school, and now I have the pleasure of talking with them again, but this time as they are set to graduate high school! We talk about how their high school experiences at Communications High School and Marlboro High School were, what they didn't expect, what the hardest adjustments were, and give some advice for incoming Freshman. We laugh about what types of crying they'll do at graduation, and what they say about their high school teachers might contradict a lot of what your middle school teachers have said. Finally, and most importantly, we put an end to the debate of whether you should fold your pizza when eating or not. Abdallah graduated Memorial in 2019 and he comes back on the podcast to discuss his experience coming to America from Egypt and not knowing the language or culture, what some of the biggest cultural barriers he had to overcome were, how his experience in ESL classes was difficult, what most students don't understand about ESL students, his favorite memories from MMMS, and so much more. Abdallah has such a unique experience that's filled with funny stories and at times, disappointment, but it's all shaped him to become the amazing person he is today.

That's the message and pressure that a fair number of middle school students receive from an early age. In a raw and shocking conversation, 8th graders Madison and Sara talk about the pressures and the process of applying to high schools.
