George Weigel is my guest. George is the Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, is a Catholic theologian and one of America’s leading public intellectuals. He holds EPPC’s William E. Simon Chair in Catholic Studies.
Mr. Weigel is perhaps best known for his widely translated and internationally acclaimed two-volume biography of Pope St. John Paul II: the New York Times bestseller, Witness to Hope (1999), and its sequel, The End and the Beginning (2010). Fr. Daniel Brandenburg, LC has published two previous books, The New Fundamentalists: The Intolerance of Tolerance (2007) and Better with God: Why be Good without God When You Can Be Better with God? (2012). He is the survivor of a heart attack, acute kidney failure, multiple myeloma cancer and a bone marrow transplant that gave him ample opportunity to put the discoveries of his new book, Journey to Joy: Reflections on the 7 Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary, into practice.
