The Late Shift: Recent Episodes

The Late Shift

Four unlikely friends embark on a creative endeavour that could only be spawned by narcissism, delusion, and an absence of any voice of reason. Marvel as they delve into the secrets of history, tread lightly through the minefield of conspiracy theories, and ruthlessly smother the creepy pasta you ordered with their own ridicule sauce, all without any responsible adult to tell them it's past bed-time.

So sit back, open your mind, and regret it immediately because it's time for the Late Shift.

Too Late V2

(NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART AND PLEASE DON'T CRITICISE OUR HUMOUR, IT'S CUT OUT FOR A REASON!)

Sadly we have failed you, our listeners, as we didn't deliver our weekly podcast. However we did have something stuck at the very bottom of the barrel that we scraped together and compiled into something that, if you don't look too hard, might be confused as content.

This week is another edition of our Too Late format, which is all the gubbins that we cut out for reasons that you will soon understand.

Your usual broadcast should resume in the near future, our apologies again.

There is a shadow in the sky. It is a shade from the ancient past, one that smells of heroin and appears to be floating mere metres of the ground. It is the legend reborn. The myth of the Balloon Boyz has taken flight once more! Despite being long dead and partially eaten by polar bears, the legacy of the Balloon Boyz lives on!

On today's episode, we discuss two tales of survival. One focuses around cannibalism, as we discuss the story of the Donner-Reed Party and how they attempted to speed up the Oregon Trail with less than stellar success. We also talk about the airship Norge and how it picked up the torch following the valiant deaths of the Balloon Boyz.

We also have more from 'Who Let them Near a Keyboard?" and "Down the Rabbit Hole." So sit down and relax. Its time for the Late Shift.

All birds must learn to fly for themselves. This is usually done when the mother kicks her young off a cliff. We mention this because, on this episode, the Late Shift's glorious leader is absent. Will the boys we able to survive without Val? Probably. Will what lurches out the other side be anything worth saving? Probably not.

On today's episode, the boys discuss two great conquers from different sides of the world, try out some simple GCSE questions, and discuss some facts around Greek mythology. When the smoke clears, and the sirens stop ringing, you'll finally be able to sit down and relax. After all, it is time for the Late Shift.
