The insight from a young philosopher in the midst of her discovery. Through topics of challenges, experiences, frustrations, relevancy and philosophy imbedded alongside social struggles within societies’ cultural, political hypocrisy, as well as rewards we’ve made norms.
This started as a fake award show but ended with a message to myself in case I forget who it is that I should be.
Often I feel that the want to narrate a culture towards a unit group and how you want to achieve a society you dream of involves dictating the direction tose of that society go. Because of thisI believe those within the black community that do so not only hinders development but bring along divide. I understand the hardship in being who I am and the group I am identified with but there is more that is created as an individual that everyone in the community isn’t meant to understand.
A man’s worth is no greater than the worth of his ambitions. —Marcus Aurelius
Ambition derives from the Latin ambitio, ‘a going around (to solicit votes)’, and, by extension, ‘a striving for honour, recognition, and preferment’.
Ambition can be defined as ‘a striving for some kind of achievement or distinction’. It involves, first, the desire for attainment, and, second, the motivation and determination to strive for its accomplishment even in the face of failure and adversity.
There’s a divide that we allow amongst ourselves as those of different backgrounds that needs to be addressed
“ To understand one’s self one has to first understand the society and those partaking in the society.”
